“Death At My Door”

Canadian punk rock band The Creepshow released their awaited 6th studio album, Death At My Door, on Friday, September 15th via Stomp Records. In celebration, the band has partnered with DreadCentral.com to stream the record in its entirety. Fans can buy the record now at iTunes and BandCamp.

Stream Death At My Door now at DreadCentral.comhttp://bit.ly/2ffqEmX

Death At My Door features ten tracks of raging, bloodcurdling and raucously rebellious fury showcase the very best from this roadharderned group of beautiful misfits. The haunting vocal stylings of Kenda Legaspi soar seamlessly over Chuck Coles’ buzzsaw sharp guitar lines and the ragtime gospel organs/keys of the Reverend McGinty; all the while held together by the hard-driving stand-up double-bass slapping rhythms of Sean McNab and the impossibly violent percussive assault of Sandro Sanchioni on drums. From the defiant and empowering “Sticks & Stones” and the incredibly anthemic “Til Death Do Us” to the circle-pit inducing “Tomorrow May Never Come” and the eerily heartwrenching ballad “My Soul To Keep”, Death At My Dooris a diverse and addictive album from a genre-defying band who are at the very top of their game… Don’t sleep on this one, because you never know what’s waiting for you just outside your door.

Veil of Maya Announce Highly Anticipated Album Release False Idol Out October 20th on Sumerian Records

False Idol

Out October 20th on Sumerian Records

Veil of Maya has announced the release of their highly anticipated new album False Idol due out October 20, 2017 via Sumerian Records. What’s to be their heaviest, most hypnotic, and hardest album yet, Veil of Maya is breaking new ground with this record and False Idol is available for pre-order HERE.  Additionally, the band recently premiered their new video for their first powerful single off of the record “Overthrow” which is available to listen and watch HERE.

Lead vocalist Lukas Magyar shares, “The whole album is told from a first-person perspective. You’re following this character rise to power and he is not the nicest man. You’ll have to listen in order to find out how it ends. The storyline is very dark.” Veil of Maya formed back in 2004 in the suburbs of Chicago, IL, and has been a staple in the metal genre for the past 13 years. They keep fans on their toes and craving more by pushing boundaries through their ability to mix progressive, melodic death, thrash and hardcore metal together in a seamless and effective way.

The band’s approach to recording this record differed from previous, as this was the first time they were writing with Magyar’s voice in mind. Magyar was writing on spot with vocal producer Brandon Paddock (The Used, Panic! At The Disco, Escape the Fate), while the rest of the band teamed up with producer Max Schad in another studio, and then merged forces. Magyar explains that they “wanted to create something fresh,” and they “didn’t recycle the same old thing – it’s a new beginning.”

Marc Okubo, guitarist and original band members shares, “False Idol is our most dynamic release as of yet. This is the largest amount of material we have ever packed into one album and we are so proud to share it with everyone. We feel that there is something for fans of all the various genres of metal, while still continuing to build on the classic Veil of Maya sound.”

The band has also announced that they are going to be hitting the road later this month for a North American tour accompanying The Devil Wears Prada, Silent Planet, and Thousand Below, kicking off in Millvale, PA on September 29, and ending in their hometown of Chicago, IL on November 4 hitting 31 cities over the course of the tour. Tickets are now on sale through various retailers.

Reputable outlets such as Alternative Press and New Noise Magazine have recognized the band’s previous workVeil of Maya‘s last album Matriarch came in at #2 on the Billboard US Hard Rock Chart, and #3 on the Billboard Independent Album Chart. They have shared the stage with bands in the metal genre such as Animals As Leaders, Upon a Burning Body, Chelsea Grin, in addition to other large names when the band hit the road with Warped Tour in 2016.

HYDROGRAD, the new album from Stone Sour, rocketed onto the charts this past June, debuting at #1 on three Billboard charts: “Top Current Albums,” “Top Rock Albums,” and “Top Hard Rock Albums.”  HYDROGRAD also debuted at #8 on the “Billboard 200,” marking the band’s fifth consecutive Top 10 debut on that chart.  Furthermore, HYDROGRAD debuted at #5 in the U.K. (the band’s highest debut ever in that country), #2 in Australia (highest debut ever), and was Top 5 in Germany, Japan, and Switzerland.

Furthermore, HYDROGRAD’s lead single “Song #3” spent an amazing 5 straight weeks at #1 at Active Rock Radio, marking the GRAMMY® nominated band’s fourth #1 single and eighth Top 5 single at the format. “Song #3” is joined by a Ryan Valdez directed official video, which has received over 6 Million views on the band’s official YouTube channel while garnering 10 Million streams on Spotify, including placement on Rock This and Rock Hard playlists.

Stone Sour’s new LP, HYDROGRAD, features the tracks “Song #3,” “Fabuless,” and “Taipei Person/Allah Tea,” and “Mercy.”  “Fabuless” is joined by an official music video, directed by Paul Brown, which has received over 5 million views on Stone Sour’s official YouTube channel, while “Mercy” is accompanied by a live video performed and recorded at Sphere Studios in North Hollywood, CA.

Stone Sour unleashed their eponymous debut album in 2002 and was immediately confirmed as one of the most significant hard rock outfits of the 21st century. The self-titled release earned RIAA gold certification while singles “Get Inside” and “Inhale” each received GRAMMY® Award nominations for “Best Metal Performance.”

COME WHAT(EVER) MAY followed in 2006 and proved an even greater accomplishment with a top 5 debut on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 and a #1 entry onto Billboard’s “Rock Albums” chart. The acclaimed album spawned still another GRAMMY®-nominated single in “30/30-150” on its own way to RIAA gold certification.  COME WHAT(EVER) MAY unleashed a series of rock radio classics, including “Sillyworld,” “Made of Scars,” the #1 hit, “Through Glass,” which spent seven weeks atop Billboard’s “Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks” while also reaching #2 on “Alternative Songs” and the top 40 on the overall “Hot 100.” The song’s companion video was also a favorite, now with over 49 million individual views at YouTube alone.

Stone Sour’s most recent all-original releases, the monumental HOUSE OF GOLD & BONES – PART 1 and HOUSE OF GOLD & BONES – PART 2, both made top 10 debuts on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 just six months apart from one another – the band’s third and fourth consecutive top 10 chart entries. The two-part concept album yielded a string of multi-format rock radio hits, including the top 5 favorites “Absolute Zero,” “Do Me A Favor,” and “Tired,” the latter of which ascended to #1 at Mainstream Rock outlets nationwide.

HOUSE OF GOLD & BONES drew widespread critical applause with ArtistDirect hailing “PART 1” as “a milestone for Stone Sour and for modern rock music. It’s on par with Alice In Chains’ ‘DIRT,’ Metallica’s MASTER OF PUPPETS, Queens of the Stone Age’s SONGS FOR THE DEAF, Soundgarden’s SUPERUNKNOWN, and any other game-changing albums you can think of.” HOUSE OF GOLD & BONES – PART 2 earned equally great acclaim, including placement on Revolver’s “Top 20 Albums of 2013” and Loudwire’s “Top 10 Rock + Metal Albums of 2013” ranking. The Guardian, in its four-out-of-five starred rave, praised Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor’s “remarkable transformation into heavy music’s premier polymath and renaissance man” while further hailing the album’s “towering melodies and moments of radio-friendly majesty, the band’s trademark straddling of the divide between metal and commercial rock sounding increasingly adroit.”

2015 saw the arrival of STRAIGHT OUTTA BURBANK, an unprecedented EP in which Stone Sour take on five immortal songs originally performed by such iconic artists as Bad Brains, Iron Maiden, The Rolling Stones, Mötley Crüe, and Slayer. The EP is highlighted by a stunning rendition of The Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter” featuring distinctive guest vocals from Lzzy Hale of Atlantic recording group Halestorm, STRAIGHT OUTTA BURBANK is available now at all DSPs and streaming services.

Stone Sour is: Corey Taylor (vocals), Josh Rand (guitar), Roy Mayorga (drums), Johny Chow (bass), and Christian Martucci (guitar).
