Nothing More is now making new stories on the road.  The band’s latest album The Stories We Tell Ourselves was released a few weeks ago with several songs receiving airplay including “Go To War” which is currently on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart.  The band is currently on their headlining tour that will travel across the US and Canada and then travel over to Europe at the end of 2017.

While speaking with the band, Mark stated that things were going well on the road after a few weeks of incorporating new song with their set.  Adding that music along with the presentation of the Bassinator and Scorpion Tail, Nothing More surprised a lot of staff at the venue and made sure their fans were given a good show.

Rosetta Announce US Tour Supporting 6th Album Utopioid

Forging ahead as a fully-independent band, Rosetta returns in 2017 with Utopioid, their sixth full- length album and most concept-driven work to date. Written as a four-part song cycle that treads multipolar extremes of texture, dynamics, and harmony, it reaches the highest heights and the deepest lows of the band’s career. An unflinching study of human aspiration, frailty, and betrayal, the album is equal parts mysticism and biography. Utopioid tells a story in sounds, encapsulating and transcending the band’s 14 years of sonic experimentation.

Formed in Philadelphia in 2003 as a four-piece, Rosetta’s first two albums—2005’s The Galilean Satellites and 2007’s Wake/Lift—pulled together elements from 90s hardcore, drone, doom, and atmospheric sludge metal. Informed as much by the minimal soundscapes of Stars of the Lid as by the pulverizing weight of Godflesh, the band’s compositions had a spaced-out, exploratory feel, appropriately dubbed “metal for astronauts.” 2010’s A Determinism of Morality moved on from celestial themes, focusing on increased melodic sophistication while honing a confrontational urgency.

After concluding a decade-long partnership with Translation Loss Records in 2013, Rosetta embraced their newfound independence with the self-funded, pay-as-you-wish album The Anaesthete. The darkest, most unsettling album of the band’s career also marked their greatest success so far, recouping costs in 24 hours and remaining the top-selling release on Bandcamp for nearly a month. 2015’s Quintessential Ephemera, Rosetta’s first effort as a five-piece, received widespread critical and audience acclaim for its energized guitar interplay and evolution of the band’s core sound.

With Utopioid, Rosetta has again upended their stylistic palette. But as always, with ever deeper gratitude for the investment of fans around the world, they continue to search for the intersection of heaviness and beauty.

Stream Death At My Door now at DreadCentral.comhttp://bit.ly/2ffqEmX

Death At My Door features ten tracks of raging, bloodcurdling and raucously rebellious fury showcase the very best from this roadharderned group of beautiful misfits. The haunting vocal stylings of Kenda Legaspi soar seamlessly over Chuck Coles’ buzzsaw sharp guitar lines and the ragtime gospel organs/keys of the Reverend McGinty; all the while held together by the hard-driving stand-up double-bass slapping rhythms of Sean McNab and the impossibly violent percussive assault of Sandro Sanchioni on drums. From the defiant and empowering “Sticks & Stones” and the incredibly anthemic “Til Death Do Us” to the circle-pit inducing “Tomorrow May Never Come” and the eerily heartwrenching ballad “My Soul To Keep”, Death At My Dooris a diverse and addictive album from a genre-defying band who are at the very top of their game… Don’t sleep on this one, because you never know what’s waiting for you just outside your door.

Veil of Maya Announce Highly Anticipated Album Release False Idol Out October 20th on Sumerian Records

False Idol

Out October 20th on Sumerian Records

Veil of Maya has announced the release of their highly anticipated new album False Idol due out October 20, 2017 via Sumerian Records. What’s to be their heaviest, most hypnotic, and hardest album yet, Veil of Maya is breaking new ground with this record and False Idol is available for pre-order HERE.  Additionally, the band recently premiered their new video for their first powerful single off of the record “Overthrow” which is available to listen and watch HERE.

Lead vocalist Lukas Magyar shares, “The whole album is told from a first-person perspective. You’re following this character rise to power and he is not the nicest man. You’ll have to listen in order to find out how it ends. The storyline is very dark.” Veil of Maya formed back in 2004 in the suburbs of Chicago, IL, and has been a staple in the metal genre for the past 13 years. They keep fans on their toes and craving more by pushing boundaries through their ability to mix progressive, melodic death, thrash and hardcore metal together in a seamless and effective way.

The band’s approach to recording this record differed from previous, as this was the first time they were writing with Magyar’s voice in mind. Magyar was writing on spot with vocal producer Brandon Paddock (The Used, Panic! At The Disco, Escape the Fate), while the rest of the band teamed up with producer Max Schad in another studio, and then merged forces. Magyar explains that they “wanted to create something fresh,” and they “didn’t recycle the same old thing – it’s a new beginning.”

Marc Okubo, guitarist and original band members shares, “False Idol is our most dynamic release as of yet. This is the largest amount of material we have ever packed into one album and we are so proud to share it with everyone. We feel that there is something for fans of all the various genres of metal, while still continuing to build on the classic Veil of Maya sound.”

The band has also announced that they are going to be hitting the road later this month for a North American tour accompanying The Devil Wears Prada, Silent Planet, and Thousand Below, kicking off in Millvale, PA on September 29, and ending in their hometown of Chicago, IL on November 4 hitting 31 cities over the course of the tour. Tickets are now on sale through various retailers.

Reputable outlets such as Alternative Press and New Noise Magazine have recognized the band’s previous workVeil of Maya‘s last album Matriarch came in at #2 on the Billboard US Hard Rock Chart, and #3 on the Billboard Independent Album Chart. They have shared the stage with bands in the metal genre such as Animals As Leaders, Upon a Burning Body, Chelsea Grin, in addition to other large names when the band hit the road with Warped Tour in 2016.
