After the final passengers were boarded and everyone had lunch, the passengers of Shiprocked gathered to the main stage on the deck for Seether to play us out as we sailed to The Bahamas.  After an hour wait due to stage difficulties, we finally heard the band start many passenger’s first band experience of 2018.  Seether had a very successful 2017 with their album Poison The Parish posting several charting songs as well as Rise Above Fest and consistent touring for a majority of the past year.

Ded Release Video For “Hate Me” – Single On Sale For $.69

2017 SiriusXM Octane “Artist Discovery Of The Year” Ded have released a new horror-themed video for 3rd single “Hate Me”. To celebrate the release, the single is now on sale everywhere for just .69 cents.

The clip finds the band playing inside a spooky looking house with a bit of a supernatural vibe going on as they deliver their energetic performance of the track.

Singer Joe Cotela says, “What’s up world! We’ve just released the video for our new single “Hate Me”! This song is all about self-empowerment. It’s about following your gut and being who you know you truly are, without being influenced by all of the bullshit around you. It’s about not succumbing to negative energy from negative people.”

He continues, “There are people that do nothing with their lives, but talk shit about someone who is on their grind. You can hate my hustle all day – but you will not stop it. This isn’t a song for boneheads that think it’s cool to be an asshole. It’s about doing something positive for yourself and going hard in your life in the face of adversity. I firmly believe that the power of the mind is infinite and with the right focus and determination, anything and everything is within your reach.”

Cotela reveals the band shot the video with director Shan Dan Horan, who has previously worked with DevilDriver, Exodus, Buckcherry and more. In addition, fans can look for a guest turn from SiriusXM host Jose Mangin, who makes a cameo in the video. Cotela also credits Oliver Porter and Oddities by Oliver for their use of real human skulls and taxidermy items, which help give the clip that special extra creepy feel.

“It was rad to switch up directors for our third video to try something new. Filming the whole thing with new and longtime friends in our home state of Arizona was killer,” says the vocalist. “We hope you guys enjoy this bad boy.”

2017 was a break-out year for Tempe, Arizona based Ded.  In addition to the honor from Octane – which also placed first single “Anti-Everything” in their Top 10 for the year – Ded’s debut album “Mis-An-thrope” bowed at #1 on the Billboard Alternative New Artists album chart and was named one of the Top albums of the year by Loudwire – who also nominated Ded for Best New Artist. They made an appearance at the Alternative Press Awards and received accolades from Amazon Music, Google Play Music, Metal Nation, and more. 2nd single “Remember The Enemy” also charted Top 20 @ Active Rock radio.  The band played more than 100 dates including every major US Rock festival during 2017 and toured with Korn, Stone Sour, and Pop Evil, among others.

Ded have kicked off 2018 to support “Hate Me” by touring with In This Moment, New Years Day and P.O.D. They had two feature performances on the just completed Shiprocked Cruise and will be playing the Las Rageous Festival in April.  Follow the band and find tour dates in your city below.

Less than a month before the Grammy’s (of which they are nominated for three), Nothing More took to the open water for their second performance on Shiprocked.  After their opening of songs from their self-titled album and their latest album The Stories We Tell Ourselves, the band also played the closer “Fadein/Fadeout” live for the first time.  Hearing it and knowing that the band had family on the boat made it memorable for several reasons.  This was Nothing More’s first time on Shiprocked and they soaked up every second.

The sea forgives all sins, which fits perfectly in the lyrics of “Oh Lord” from In This Moment.  Performing twice, the band’s first set closed out night one as we sailed away to The Bahamas.  On an extremely windy and dark night in the Atlantic Ocean, Maria Brink and company braved the elements to the point of even climbing a ladder for the song “Whore” with the ocean waves rocking us all.  The deck stage performance was a stripped down version of their full stage production due to the wind, but it still opened everyone’s eyes to the theatrical presentation of In This Moment.  Click on any photo below to open the first gallery.

In This Moment’s second performance on the cruise took place in Carnival Liberty’s theater.  In here was that the full stage production and ritualistic performance was presented with full effect.  Maria cut loose in her performance including singing “Sick Like Me” directly to fans in the front row.  Click on any photo below to open the gallery for their second Shiprocked 2018 performance.

In This Moment’s latest album Ritual is available on Amazon.  You can check out a few songs from the new album below.

Shaman’s Harvest performed on the 9th floor deck of Carnival Liberty while we sailed to Nassau.  With Shiprocked being their final performances before taking a much deserved break, the band helped set the mood with rock under stars in the middle of the Atlantic.  Click any photo below to open the gallery and scroll below the photos to watch the music video for “The Come Up” from the band’s latest album Red Hands Black Deeds.

Captain Corey Taylor and the rest of Stone Sour headlined the ninth voyage of Shiprocked.  Heading to The Bahamas and back, Stone Sour performed twice to a crowd of Shiprockers who swayed with the band every song.  Below are two separate photo galleries from each set.

The first performance was on the second night of the cruise in the ship’s theater.  Opening with “Taipei Person/Allah Tea”, Stone Sour lit up the costumed up crowd with Taylor addressing the crowd to finally cut lose, even to those who had already had no idea where they were from the abundance of alcohol given from the cruises’ many bars.  Click on any photo below to open this gallery.

The band’s second performance closed out Shiprocked on the final night.  On an extremely windy voyage that went on past midnight, Stone Sour played a collection of songs from Hydrograd all the way back to 2002’s debut.  It marks 16 years since Stone Sour hit the scene and it’s been a big ride ever since.  Featuring an encore with “Gone Soverign/Absolute Zero” and “Fabuless”, the band gave everyone a night to remember.  Click on any photo below to open the gallery.

Stone Sour will be on tour with Halestorm and Red Sun Rising on specific dates for the next few months until festival season starts.  Hydrograd is available now and you can check out some of the songs from the album below.

Myles Kennedy burst on the music scene in 1990, but it wasn¹t until 1995, through his band The Mayfield Four, that he gained some notoriety. It was when the Mayfield Four toured opening for hitmakers Creed that Myles Kennedy would meet Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips. This meeting would eventually lead to the formation of Alter Bridge, the band that would become Myles¹ calling card to the world. The band released their debut album One Day Remains that would end up being certified Gold by the RIAA and the band would go on to sell millions of records worldwide over the course of 5 studio albums with the band. In 2008, the legacy of Myles Kennedy was circling the music industry and eventually found its way to members of Led Zeppelin. A now legendary story, Myles was asked to jam with Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham for a potential project that never materialized. In 2009, Guns N¹ Roses guitarist Slash was working on a solo project and tapped Myles Kennedy to do vocals on 2 songs on that release. That partnership would lead to Myles becoming the vocalist for his other rock band, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. They have released 2 albums under that moniker. This relationship would also lead to Myles Kennedy singing for the iconic Guns N¹ Roses at their Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction in 2012 after band founder Axl Rose was unable to attend. Through Myles’ various projects, he has appeared on The Tonight Show; Jimmy Kimmel Live; Conan; has had music used by the WWE, Major League Baseball and NASCAR to name a few; and appeared in the motion picture Rock Star. 2018 will mark a new chapter in Myles¹ career as he will be releasing his long-awaited debut solo album Year Of The Tiger. The album is a whole new direction for Myles creatively and showcases the talent that has made him one of the premiere frontmen in modern music today.
