September Mourning Release “Unholy” Music Video

September Mourning Release “Unholy” New Music
Tour with FLAW & Smile Empty Soul

The genesis of September Mourning started in a dark New York basement, where a young girl discovered her father’s old comic book collection and quickly became enraptured by the stories, especially the characters and arcs in the Batman series.

“Those resonated with me the most” says band leader and creative driving force Emily Lazar(AKA September). “The Killing Joke’ is still my favorite comic book”.

The stories and characters helped turn Lazar into a life-long artist across several mediums – including ballet, story-telling, visual art, and music.  She has combined those various talents into a living and breathing, graphic-novel-come-to-life with her band of Reapers in September Mourning.   With the release of their new single and video “Unholy,  they continue to forge ahead with their aural and visual extravaganza.

September Mourning released a full-length album in 2016 (“Volume 2”) whose lead single “Eye of the Storm” has more than 1.6 million plays on Spotify, and more than 2 million over all.  The band released 2 singles in 2018: “Empire” and “Glass Animals”.   They will be releasing additional singles and an EP in 2019, with more new music to follow in the 1stquarter of 2020.

Behemoth Drop Video For “Sabbath Mater”

Behemoth Drop Video For “Sabbath Mater”
Ahead Of Slipknot Knotfest Roadshow Tour

Behemoth are hitting the road this summer with Slipknot on the Knotfest Roadshow Tour. All dates are below. The band has shared the video for “Sabbath Mater” from its latest album I Loved You At Your Darkest. Watch it here.

“We bring you the new video for ‘Sabbath Mater,'” the band said. “The energy and vibe was made for performance and that’s exactly what we accomplished in the video. Oh, and some ungodly imagery — it is a Behemoth video after all. As always, we are fortunate to have the mighty Grupa 13 helping us to manifest our nefarious visions. Enjoy it and we’ll see you very soon.”

I Loved You At Your Darkest is a crushing salvo of black metal majesty replete with hellish riffs, thundering drum cannonades, and soaring liturgical choirs reminiscent of classic horror cinema. It’s Behemoth‘s most dynamic record yet — extreme and radical on one hand, but also more rock-oriented than any other release. Produced by the band itself, with drum co-production by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames), mixing by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children oof Bodom) mastering by Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson), and a 17-piece Polish orchestra arranged by Jan Stoklosa, I Loved You At Your Darkest is available here

Static-X & Devildriver
Announced Second Leg of
Wisconsin Death Trip
20th Anniversary Tour

STATIC-X and DEVILDRIVER are continuing their onslaught of North America this fall with a second leg of the massively successful Wisconsin Death Trip 20th Anniversary tour! With several sold out shows from the first leg under their belts, STATIC-X and DEVILDRIVER will once again be joined by support acts DopeWednesday 13 and Raven Black, kicking off the second leg on November 8 in Austin, TX.

The full line-up will tour through December 8. Then, from December 9-18, STATIC-X will headline solo shows in the Pacific Northwest with Wednesday 13 as direct support.

Tickets are available now via individual venues and their websites. Additionally, North American meet & greets are available now via www.static-x.org. See below for a full listing of tour dates.

Tony Campos of STATIC-X says, “We are so honored and grateful to all the fans who came out and supported the Wisconsin Death Trip 20th Anniversary tour! The response was absolutely overwhelming! There were a number of places that were left out of the first leg, so we are very excited for the opportunity to circle back and celebrate all the good times we had with Wayne. We look forward to giving those fans an opportunity to pay their respects with us and to experience Wisconsin Death Trip once again before 2019 comes to a close. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all!”

Masked STATIC-X vocalist Xero adds, “The first leg of the tour was absolutely insane! Almost every single show was SOLD OUT! Thank you to everyone for being so supportive! We are very excited to be able to get out there and hit a bunch of cities that didn’t appear on the first leg.”

Dez Fafara of DEVILDRIVER adds, “The last tour was so successful, with most dates sold out or close to it, that of course we are honored to be part of this package again.”

Edsel Dope of Dope offers, “The first leg of the tour came and went so fast. Every night was a massive celebration of Wayne and of 20 years of Wisconsin Death Trip, and Felons and Revolutionaries. Hearing Dez singing “Loco” nightly has just been crazy! It’s like a fucking time warp and it’s just been so sick! The package is amazing! The fans are loving it… I’m so glad that we get to do it all again before 2019 comes to a close.”

Wednesday 13 says,“We are excited to announce that we are part of the second leg of the Wisconsin Death Trip 20th Anniversary tour with STATIC-X and DEVILDRIVER. This tour has been amazing so far, and we can’t wait to do it again. Look for an all new album and show from us the second time around.”

Raven of Raven Black adds, “It has been an honor and privilege to have shared the stage with so many legendary bands we each have grown up listening to as fans. We have been overwhelmed by the love we’ve received by their fans. It has been an amazing and life changing experience for us and we are so excited to be on part two of this tour this fall. Diamante Made A Shining Impression | Photos | St. Louis, MO

Photos of Diamante at
Hollywood Casino Amphitheater.
All photos taken by Luke Spencer
in St. Louis, MO on July 23rd, 2019.

Diamante is starting to impress people. After a high charting song with Bad Wolves in “Hear Me Now” and the album Coming In Hot from last year, the singer proved in St. Louis that she is ready to take the big stages and start stealing the show.

At a 10,000+ sold concert headlined by Breaking Benjamin, Diamante won new fans over. Not only was the set solid with her backing band but in 95 degree weather the woman went out to amphitheater grounds between other band sets to meet with fans and take photos. She didn’t charge anything for a meet and greet and fans were able to take their own photos. That’s rare to see for rock stars now.

This is the type of artist who has a unique voice in rock and knows how to write a hook. The song “Haunted” is proof of that. It’s clear she has a flare for standing out in the right ways and here’s hoping we see many big things for Diamante in the future, along with more new music.

Diamante will be touring with Breaking Benjamin through the rest of summer and into fall. You can find upcoming tour dates and more info on D’s Facebook page here: Diamante on Facebook. Scroll below to watch the music video for “Haunted”.

Chevelle Return Strong In 2019 | Photos | St. Louis, MO

Photos of Chevelle at Hollywood Casino Amphitheater.
All photos taken by Luke Spencer
in St. Louis, MO on July 21st, 2019.

2019 marks a big year for Chevelle as the band is supporting Breaking Benjamin on a huge summer tour and has been in the studio recording their latest album, also scheduled for this year.

On a 95 degree afternoon, the Chicago band took the stage in front of warped mirrors at Hollywood Casino Amphitheater filled with over 10,000 in attendance.  I had missed both opportunities to see Chevelle earlier this year at their festival performances at Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple (due to inclement weather). It felt good to finally catch up with hearing the band live for my first time since 2017.

This set felt like a great selection of tracks from the past 20 years. When talking with Patrico of 105.7 The Point earlier in the day, the band said that they normally don’t have a static setlist. Chevelle knows the first few songs to start with, but then just play what they feel. That is impressive. In a scene where setlists are calculated and repeated like clockwork every night for many bands, here comes Chevelle doing whatever they want.

I feel like Chevelle sounded the best in this entire night, featuring big names like Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Dorothy, and Diamante. Age has had no effect on the band and it only proves to show that their true drive is the music itself. No gimmicks, no wild antics, just rock. Here’s hoping they continue with that in their new album.

Setlist:
Young Wicked
Get Some
Face to the Floor
An Island
Door to Door Cannibals
Hats Off to the Bull
The Clincher
Send the Pain Below
The Red
I Get It

Chevelle will be continuing on tour with Breaking Benjamin throughout the summer and into fall. You can find upcoming tour dates and more info here: Chevelle on Facebook. Click on any photo above to open the gallery.

Breaking Benjamin Kick Off Headline Tour To Huge Audience | Photos | St. Louis, MO

Photos of Breaking Benjamin
at Hollywood Casino Amphitheater.
All photos taken by Luke Spencer
in St. Louis, MO on July 21, 2019.

St. Louis loves Breaking Benjamin as much as they love toasted ravioli and their Stanley Cup winning hockey team. I’ve seen it with my own eyes and every time this band comes to the gateway to the west, fans show up in droves.

This was the start of a huge summer headline tour featuring Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Dorothy, and Diamante. BB’s 2019 tour is by far one of the biggest runs going through the summer in the hard rock scene and is worth the money based on these names alone.

After Patrico from 105.7 The Point introduced the band and hyped the crowd with a slow cap, the curtain fell revealing Breaking Benjamin already in place on stage and roaring into “Red Cold River”. Featured throughout the set were hits from the early 2000’s all the way up to their most recent album Ember.

What stood out to me most was the medley that the band is now known for playing, featuring many rock and metal classics. The band performed this same medley a year ago at the same venue on a co-headline tour with Five Finger Death Punch. It’s impressive, it’s fun…but it takes a long time to get through and we’ve all heard it before. The fans were losing their minds when the band started playing “Sugarcoat”. That’s the type of moments Breaking Benjamin fans are going to remember and be glad they spent their money on, not a collection of one minute clips from 90’s and 2000’s hits by other artists. Hearing the crowd sing along to “So Cold” and “Failure” helped prove this.

All that being said and even in the crazy heat from a 100 degree weekend, Breaking Benjamin still delivered a strong show. There was pep in Benjamin’s step and you could see his countenance was raised a bit while performing. After the song “Never Again” Benjamin Burnley stood right in front of his AC tubing and addressed the crowd saying “Maybe we shouldn’t have started this tour in St. Louis, because now every other show after this is going to suck.” Ben has called StL his home away from home, and it’s clear that the city wants him as a permanent resident.

BB will be continuing their headline tour through the rest of the summer and into the fall. You can find upcoming tour dates and more info on the band’s Facebook page here: Breaking Benjamin on Facebook

Setlist:
Red Cold River
I Will Not Bow
Never Again
Breath
Sugarcoat
Polyamorous
Medley (The Imperial March / Cowboys From Hell / Smells Like Teen Spirit / Bohemian Rhapsody / Enter Sandman / Bulls On A Parade / Drum Solo)
Sooner or Later
Blow Me Away
Tourniquet
So Cold
Angels Fall
Dance with the Devil
Failure
Torn in Two
