Interview with vocalist Abel Abarca of Big Ass Truck I.E. talking about the new EP Found On Road Dead, the vibe of SoCal Hardcore, making the music video for “Dragging Meat” and more.
“BIG ASS TRUCK I.E. are putting the pedal through the floor with their upcoming EP, FOUND ON ROAD DEAD, a fresh blast of Inland Empire hardcore built on absurdly heavy riffs, bone-rattling breakdowns and the band’s unmistakable vehicular chaos. Fueled by the same reckless energy that has made their live shows increasingly notorious, FOUND ON ROAD DEAD is loud, destructive and proudly over-the-top—hardcore engineered like a lifted diesel truck with the accelerator stuck to the floor.
“Inland Empire purveyors of vehicular hardcore mayhem BIG ASS TRUCK I.E. have announced their catastrophic debut EP, FOUND ON ROAD DEAD, arriving digitally and on limited edition vinyl October 20th via Nuclear Blast Records. FOUND ON ROAD DEAD marks the first full statement from the Southern California wrecking crew, expanding on the vehicular destruction introduced with the band’s previous singles “BACK WHEEL STOMP” and “PUSHED BEYOND THE BRINK.” Assembled in Inland Empire, the band has quickly established its own absurdly heavy lane, welding hardcore aggression, gigantic riffs and breakdowns built for maximum pit damage.” (Press Release)
