Attention all elder emos! The When We Were Young Festival will be the epicenter of our collective youth and will be taking place on October 22nd, 2022. The festival will take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will have the most impressive lineup since Bamboozle, Taste of Chaos, and most Warped Tours (after 2017) combined.
For starters My Chemical Romance and Paramore will be headlining. The supporting acts throughout the rest of the festival are just as impressive and quite honestly make my heart flutter just as much if not more. The official lineup will also include performances by: AFI, The Used, Bring Me The Horizon, Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Thursday, Alkaline Trio, Manchester Orchestra,Dance Gavin Dance, The All American Rejects, Boys Like Girls, A Day To Remember, Pierce The Veil, The Story So Far, I Prevail, Car Seat Headrest, Sleeping With Sirens, Knocked Loose, Jxdn, Avril Lavigne, Motionless In White, Black Veil Brides, Ice Nine Kills, Senses Fail, Bayside, Mom Jeans, Mayday Parade, The Maine, Neck Deep, Silverstein, Palaye Royale, Bright Eyes, Poppy, Nessa Barrett, Wolf Alice, Acceptance, Story Of The Year, Pvris, Atreyu, Glassjaw, Lilhuddy, TV Girl, The Starting Line, Thursday, Anberlin, We The Kings, The Wonder Years, Hawthorne Heights, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Armor For Sleep, Royal & The Serpent, Jimmy Eat World, State Champs, Four Year Strong, The Ready Set, 3Oh!3, Horrorpops, Kittie, Meet Me @ The Altar, The Linda Lindas, and Prentiss.
To accommodate all of those amazing bands, the festival will be split up into three separate stages. Performances will start at 11 AM and run through 11PM. The pre-sale will be on Friday January 21st at 10AM PST. For those interested, payment plans will be accepted with a $19.99 deposit. Tickets start at $224.99 with three separate tiers within general admission. All of the tiers will be offering access to all the performances throughout the three stages. There will also be VIP, VIP Cabana and Hotel and Ticket packages available for purchase.
Despite this being the second time the festival is taking place with the first one being five years ago in Orange County, this lineup is sure one for the books. For those who can make it out to Las Vegas, make sure to review the festival policies beforehand. I’m pretty sure you don’t want to get your chain wallet confiscated at the entrance. And stock up on Tylenol because I know most of us have back and knee pain by now.
