There was literal screaming in the night at Discovery Park. It was coming from the crowd as they waited for the curtain to fall, revealing Slipknot on stage. It was the perfect way to cap the first day of Aftershock 2019.
We Are Not Your Kind has become one of the key albums of 2019 for metal fans. The music is welcomed at every live show and hearing it mixed with Slipknot’s biggest songs makes a seamless flow that all belongs together. The connecting songs of “Solway Firth” to “The Heretic Anthem” to “Psychosocial” feels like an amazing Slipknot playlist and hearing it live provides of adrenaline to wake the dead.
It was announced a few weeks ago that the Australia/New Zealand Tour with Metallica has been postponed indefinitely. Here’s hoping that much more touring for Slipknot comes in 2020. Whether it’s at the big DWP festivals featuring Metallica or heading overseas, everyone needs to experience Slipknot live on this tour. It’s worth your time and money.
