February 10, 2017 – Los Angeles, CA – Orange County ska-punk band SAVE FERRIS first burst into the music scene 20 years ago with their classic, game-changing record, It Means Everything, which led to worldwide notoriety and mainstream success. Now, two decades later the band has returned with their first new record in 17 years, Checkered Past, which has been released by WITHYN Records. The new EP is available now for purchase at iTunes and Amazon and is streaming at Spotify and Apple Music.
17 years after their last release, SAVE FERRIS’ 5 track EP, Checkered Past, finds the band at their creative heights with a revitalized sound that melds their signature ska roots with contemporary influences for a non-stop party. The band, led by the inimitable frontwoman Monique Powell, takes fans back to the skankin’ reign of ska while keeping things fresh and surprising listeners at every turn.
