Reel Big Fish & The Aquabats Announce Co-Headline Tour

Reel Big Fish &  The Aquabats
Co-Headline Tour, July 2-19
W/ Special Guest Dog Party

Two legends of Orange County ska punk, Reel Big Fish and The Aquabats, are joining forces on a 14-city co-headline tour which kicks off July 2 and runs through July 19.

Local pre-sale tickets will go on sale Thursday, May 2nd from 10am to 10pm local time, with general admission tickets on sale beginning Friday, May 3rd at 10am local time.

The Aquabats’ Christian Jacobs (the MC Bat Commander himself) says, “We haven’t been on the road for a while so… this is going to be most fun! We’ve been friends with Aaron and the Reel Big Fish-ermen for over 20 years now and after all this time, it still feels like we’re just goofing around, playing music and having fun with no other motives than to goof around, play music and have fun! We can’t wait to see everyone again!”

Reel Big Fish frontman Aaron Barrett adds, “Come out and party like it’s 1997 with two bands who have been making fools of themselves on stage for YOUR entertainment for over 20 years!! If you don’t have a good time, it’s because you HATE FUN!!! “

TV’s punk rock superheroes The Aquabats formed in 1994 in Orange County as a way to have some harmless fun in a music scene that took itself too seriously. Their Paul Frank designed “power belts,” trademark blue rash guards, black eye masks, “anti-negativity” helmets and onstage antics quickly caught on, earning the group a fiercely loyal following that spans generations. Their line-up and music is continuously evolving, including Blink 182’s Travis Barker as former drummer “Baron Von Tito.”

2019 marks the band’s 25th year and promises to be one of their best yet. In addition to the release of The Aquabats Super Show! Television Soundtrack Volume 1 on June 7th and a full touring slate this summer, the year will round out with West and East Coast headlining tours in the fall to coincide with the release of their first fan-funded full-length studio album in October.

As one of the key mid-90’s ska-punk bands to emerge out of Southern California’s third wave ska scene, along with acts like No Doubt and Sublime, Reel Big Fish’s popularity hasn’t faltered over the years. Distinguished by their hyperkinetic stage shows, sarcastic humor, ironic covers of new wave pop songs, and metallic shards of ska, the group continues to tour the world playing shows to a hardcore fanbase that’s as devoted as ever.

Reel Big Fish’s 9th studio LP, ‘Life Sucks…Let’s Dance’ was released in late- 2018 and has garnered some of the best reviews of their lengthy career.
