Soundgarden closed out day one of Welcome To Rockville 2017 with a wall of lights in front of 25,000+ crammed together. For many (including myself), getting to see Soundgarden live felt like an impossibility because we never thought we would be able to see it. But it happened. In all their glory, Soundgarden took the stage on a very hot Florida night.
Before playing “Outshined”, Chris Cornell took to the mic and thanked everyone for coming out. He then said that they’d be playing a lot of songs they haven’t played in a while and that needed to get the dust off.
But from the way they sounded, there was no dust. It was as smooth as anyone could have ever imagined.
