Freddy Kruger, The Crow, and a child abducted by IT took the stage at The
Ready Room in St. Louis, MO. Ice Nine Kills’ latest album The Silver Scream features songs dedicated to horror icons and classic films all befitting of the costumes these Bostonians wore for the show.
Opening with the “Let’s All Go To The Lobby” jingle, the show started with “The American Nightmare” and the strobe lights stayed strong for the entire set. Normally I go crazy when there are too many strobes but it really added to the atmosphere for the music.
Some of the highlights from Ice Nine Kills’ set was them performing “Rocking The Boat” and “IT Is The End”, which really should be featured in the upcoming Part II for IT or else Hollywood missed a huge opportunity.
This band has two great things going for them: 1.) The ability to perform live, and; 2.) The creativity to make something unique. Ice Nine Kills is the type of band that should be playing festivals and getting crowds riled up on big stages now. Here’s hoping they get seen in a bigger spotlight soon.
