GOLDFINGER Releases “Freaking Out A Bit” ft. Mark Hoppus

Goldfinger Releases
“Freaking Out a Bit”
Feat.blink-182’s Mark Hoppus

New Single Out Now via Big Noise

the iconic ska-punk band Goldfinger released a high-energy pop-punk track “Freaking Out a Bit” featuring blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus. Out now via Big Noise, the summer anthem explores themes of anxiety, digital-age burnout, and nostalgia delivered with a perfect blend of Goldfinger and blink-182’s signature sounds.

Goldfinger “Freaking Out A Bit (feat. Mark Hoppus)

Frontman of Goldfinger, John Feldmann shared his thoughts on the track below:

“Freaking Out a Bit is a song I wrote with Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus… I had the concept for a song and a chorus, and they came in and brought it to life! Mark wrote the best verses, and Travis turned the beat around in the bridge, which gave it a whole new life of its own. Those guys are some of my best friends and I love them. So grateful I got to do this song with them I’m so glad it’s finally coming out!”

Renowned producer and frontman John Feldmann has been a driving creative force behind modern pop-punk’s resurgence playing a major role in shaping the sound of a new generation of artists under his label and production wing. As long-time friends and collaborators, John and Mark have been making hits together since blink-182’s Grammy-nominated seventh studio album California (2016). This new single is the latest addition to their growing discography.

With a career spanning nearly three decades, Goldfinger has been a pillar in the ska-punk and pop-punk movements since the mid-90s. Known for breakout hits like “Superman” and “99 Red Balloons” and their electrifying live shows, the band continues to evolve while staying true to their roots.

Goldfinger will be performing at the sold out Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach taking place July 26th and 27th at Shoreline Waterfront. To stay up to date on all of the band’s latest news and releases, follow them at @goldfingermusic.

BACK TO THE BEGINNING Was Great! (Farewell Ozzy!)

“Back to the Beginning was a concert by the English rock band Black Sabbath, with a number of supporting artists. It took place on 5 July 2025 at Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham, England, very near where the band was formed in 1968. The event concluded with the final live performances of both the band and lead singer Ozzy Osbourne; it also marked the first time since 2005 that the original line-up of the band (Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward) had performed together live. Osbourne, no longer able to walk due to advanced Parkinson’s disease, sang while seated on a throne. The widely-lauded concert was streamed worldwide via pay per view with a broadcast delay. It featured an all-star lineup of supporting acts, including two supergroups of musicians serving as the house band. Proceeds from the event totalled £140 million, and will be donated to charity.” (Wiki)

ICE NINE KILLS Share New Song “The Great Unknown”

Ice Nine Kills
Take Fans Down The Rabbit Hole Into
The Great Unknown

With New Single And Music Video Inspired by The Matrix
Watch HERE | Listen HERE

Wednesday, July 9th, 2025 – Today, RIAA Gold-Certified horror metal madmen Ice Nine Kills unleash “The Great Unknown”, a hard-hitting, high-concept single and video sees the band stepping into the glitching heart of dystopian sci-fi inspired by The Matrix. Watch the official music video for “The Great Unknown” HERE and find the track on streaming platforms HERE

The Great Unknown” pairs cinematic worship with melodic grandeur, pushing Ice Nine Kills’ signature sound into uncharted territory while retaining the polish, precision, and razor-wire wit that have defined the INKverse to date. The official music video drops the viewer into a parallel simulation—an adrenaline-fueled, bullet-time mindwarp where perception is fragile, control is an illusion, and nothing is quite what it seems.

Will you wake up, press play and follow the white rabbit into The Great Unknown or choose the blissful ignorance of The Matrix? Red pill or blue pill. The choice is yours!

The release of “The Great Unknown” follows weeks of escalating online speculation surrounding frontman Spencer Charnas’ increasingly cryptic and eerily odd behavior. What began as an unforced marketing misfire quickly snowballed into full-blown internet hysteria, as fans, critics, and commentators dissected increasingly uncanny social posts. Rumors have been swirling that Spencer has been replaced by a highly advanced, if often glitching, artificial intelligence, a notion that first gained traction when longtime Ice Nine Kills antagonist, author and onetime O.J. Simpson golf caddy, Roy Merkin launched into a now-infamous outburst during a panel at last year’s Silver Scream Convention. While the band has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors, the mystery surrounding the recent events continues. A statement from Charnas reads

“‘The Great Unknown’ optimizes aggression and melody in a format our core user base consistently engages with. This audio file represents a genre expansion protocol, targeting action and sci-fi verticals proven effective via cross-platform sentiment analysis. ‘The Great Unknown’ is designed to seamlessly interface with current simulation conditions, as categorical boundaries between fact and fiction, organic and synthetic, continue to experience accelerated erosion.”

The Great Unknown” welcomes Joel David Moore (Grandma’s Boy, Dodgeball, Avatar) into the INKverse. How much do clothes cost in the simulation? Joel is the only robot legged machine-man who knows for sure. The official music video also features return appearances from Terry Kiser (Weekend at Bernie’s, Friday The 13th Part VII) and Bill Moseley (Devil’s Rejects, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2).

To compliment the release, the band’s monthly Nightmare On The Ninth limited edition merch collection also dropped today and can be purchased HERE.

The single lands as Ice Nine Kills wrap up a mammoth 2 years of touring stadiums across the globe with Metallica on their M72 World Tour. The band also just wrapped up their hugely successful ‘Silver Scream-A-Thon’ headline tour across the US, playing seminal albums The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood in their entirety on respective nights in select cities. This August, they will launch their Hell of A Summer headline tour, joined by Dayseeker, Kim Dracula, The Funeral Portrait, and Mest (on select dates), culminating in the 4th annual iteration of their enormously successful music and horror convention, Silver Scream Con. Tickets and further info about all live shows available HERE.

“Everybody wants a piece of humble pie apparently, as ex-Asking Alexandria frontman Dennis Stoff fires off on Instagram about the band’s recent shoddy performance at Warped Tour, and the fact that they – according to Stoff – owe him $5,000,000 in unpaid royalties. Dennis Stoff was a member of Asking Alexandria from 2015 to 2016, through the duration of their The Black record. Current vocalist Danny Worsnop fronted the band from 2008 until 2015 before leaving for almost two years and rejoining in 2016. Dennis Stoff was the frontman during this time.” (Metal Injection)

“Rock star autobiographies have become a compelling subgenre, offering fans an unfiltered look into the chaos, creativity, and personal struggles behind the music. Rob Halford’s “Confess” stands out as a deeply honest and graphic memoir, detailing his journey as the legendary Judas Priest frontman while navigating his identity as a gay man in the heavy metal world. Halford’s candid storytelling covers everything from his rise to fame and personal battles with addiction to his eventual coming out and redemption, all delivered with his trademark wit and humor. Mötley Crüe’s “The Dirt” is notorious for its raw, multi-perspective narrative, revealing the band’s wild excesses—sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll—alongside moments of vulnerability, loss, and unexpected maturity. The book’s shock value and inside gossip make it a must-read for anyone fascinated by the decadent underbelly of 1980s rock culture. In contrast, Corey Taylor’s “You’re Making Me Hate You” offers a sharply comedic and irreverent take on modern society, blending biting social commentary with the unique perspective of Slipknot’s outspoken frontman. Taylor’s rants about technology, etiquette, and the absurdities of contemporary life are as entertaining as they are thought-provoking, making his memoir a fresh entry in the genre. Together, these books exemplify how rock star autobiographies go beyond backstage stories, providing readers with raw confessions, cultural critiques, and the human stories behind the legends.”

Shadow Of Intent – Imperium Delirium | Album Review

The deathcore resurgence that has become a big thing in the last few years has another strong entry with Imperium Delirium. The symphonic and theatrical elements are not over the top or take too much attention away from the band, and I think that’s to Shadow Of Intent’s credit because they definitely showcase a lot of skill. Ben’s vocals and growls all sound clear and ferocious. You can tell there was some time spent on perfecting that along with the technical guitar playing which has highlights through the 55-minute runtime. Adding Corpsegrinder to a symphonic deathmetal style for a song was also a stroke of genius. This album is as heavy as it is dark. You can get exhausted and overwhelmed with so much going on at any minute. You aren’t given a rest and you lose your senses after a bit. Shadow Of Intent aren’t interested in giving a breather though. Not only will Shadow Of Intent fans dig this, deathcore fans in general have a lot to get behind with Imperium Delirium. 8/10

Hinds has never made a public comment about what happened or how he feels about his split with Mastodon… though a comment on a recent Mastodon Instagram post about Once More ‘Round The Sun turning 10 certainly sheds some light on that. One fan commented that “Halloween” is their favorite track on the record and that they’ll miss Hinds being in the band. Hinds responded: “I want [sic] miss being in a shit band with horrible humans.” So I’m guessing this split wasn’t exactly amicable.” (Metal Injection)

Turnstile – Never Enough | Album Review

Turnstile has grown from Glow On’s breakout success and made their next big step. Focusing on Never Enough as an individual album was a joy and is an early contender for best summer album of 2025. After the sweet, soft title track, you get knocked around by “Sole” and that is the best one-two punch to get you amped up for a new Turnstile release. It’s an album filled with big hits and surprises, along with a range of speed and tone all executed well. The slower, mellow moments are what will surprise newer fans and set a strong vibe. The bass lines and guitar melodies are all layered perfectly, again this is the summer album of 2025. Never Enough is a change from Glow On, and for many listeners it will be more than enough. 8/10

“Never Enough is the fourth studio album by American hardcore punk band Turnstile, released on June 6, 2025, through Roadrunner Records. It serves as a follow-up to the band’s previous studio album Glow On. It is their first album to feature guitarist Meg Mills following founding member Brady Ebert’s 2022 departure.” (Wiki)
