The Rocket Summer “Do You Feel” 10th Anniversary Vinyl Charts on Billboard

THE ROCKET SUMMER

Do You Feel 10th Anniversary Vinyl Charts On Billboard

THE ROCKET SUMMER’s vinyl release for the 10 year anniversary of Do You Feel has charted at #20 on the Billboard Vinyl Albums Chart. Released on June 2, this news comes before the start of The Rocket Summer’s 10 year tour for Do You Feel that kicks off next month in Texas.

Do You Feel is a special album within the Rocket Summer community,” says The Rocket Summer’s own BRYCE AVARY. “Fans have been asking since the album’s original release 10 years ago if it would ever finally come out on vinyl. I think I’ve been longing for it maybe just as much… As a vinyl collector myself, there’s just something about the experience of connecting to the music in a more tangible, almost spiritual way,” continues Avary. “So now after 10 years, getting to actually hold it, open the gatefold and know that fans will hear these songs off this white vinyl from their turntables is kind of a cathartic feeling that fills a long-standing void; both a mental one and a physical void on the actual record shelf where there’s been a space right in the middle of the TRS LPs.  It took a long time to get to this point. So to finally see it is wonderful.”

With official support from 888, the Do You Feel 10 Year Anniversary Tour kicks off in his home state of Texas on July 20 at Austin’s Antone’s and circles North America, hitting venues such as Dallas’ Trees (July 21), NYC’s Gramercy Theatre (August 3), Toronto’s The Mod Club (August 8),  Chicago’s The Bottom Lounge (August 12), SF’s Slim’s (Aug. 24), and Los Angeles’ The Roxy (August 25). VIP tickets are sold out across all dates, but general tickets are currently available at http://reybee.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f67b4587af2b2ef9aa80ed984&id=739416dfb5&e=222450d7d1.

Jyrki 69’s Releases New Song & Video “Bloodlust” (Feat Lemmy!)

Goth rock icon Jyrki 69, lead vocalist for Helsinki metal band, The 69 Eyes, has released a video for his macabre new song “Bloodlust” today at RollingStone.com. The track is featured on his debut solo record, Helsinki Vampire, which will be released on June 23rd via Cleopatra Records. Fans can pre-order the album now at iTunes: http://apple.co/2qcHqdV.

Jyrki 69’s new video for “Bloodlust” includes film footage from the upcoming movie “Sunset Society,” which will be released in Spring 2018 and stars the late rock-god and Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister making his last appearance post-mortem. The video also features cameos by Dizzy Reed (Guns N’ Roses), Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns) and adult film legend Ron Jeremy, who also star in the forthcoming movie. “Sunset Society” is a film based on the iconic Sunset Strip about a pack of vampire rockers lead by Kilmister’s character. Jyrki 69’s portion of the music video for “Bloodlust” was filmed in Los Angeles at the historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel. The music video was directed by Vicente and Fernando Cordero of Industralism Films.

Speaking about the video with RollingStone.com, Jyrki 69 says, ““Bloodlust” is “The Lost Boys” movie taken into modern day to the Sunset Strip. Aren’t we all so glad to see that Lemmy’s doing all right? He lives forever!”

Adding on the personal impact of Kilmister, Jyrki 69 says, “Motörhead is naturally always been more than just inspiration musically, it’s a whole lifestyle which Lemmy symbolises. Life suddenly has become harder without a new Motörhead album or tour behind the corner. I met the man many times over the course of decades all over the world. Never bothered him at the Rainbow Bar & Grill! I’m proud to have the General still on board! I actually showed the video to Ron Jeremy (who’s in it too) at the Rainbow Bar & Grill last weekend, he loved it!”

Jyrki 69 recently debuted a new video for his song “Last Halloween” from Helsinki Vampire.

“It’s really a more interesting power metal scene in North America than I think most people are aware of, and it’s nice to contribute to it with this album that pays homage to the immense history of a genre that’s historically thrived in Europe.” – Zoe Federoff

Track List:

2. Act Of Mercy
3. Memory Of A Sapphire
4. Sacred
5. We Are The Grey
6. Phoenix Aflame
7. Not My God
8. Captor And Captive
9. Velvet Road
10. Healer Of Hatred

Insatia is an American/Canadian power metal band with female vocals. Founded in 2009 and fronted by Zoë Federoff, the band has released one self produced debut album and opened for multiple international acts, including Sonata Arctica and Dark Tranquility. In 2014 Fabio D’Amore (Serenity) and his partner Ivan Moni Bidin (Starsick System, Pathosray, Last Warning) announced their positions as producers on Insatia’s upcoming sophomore release, Phoenix Aflame. Joined by producer Staffan Karlsson, known for his work with Arch Enemy, Firewind, Roxette, and many other notable acts, Fabio and Ivan spent the first part of 2015 recording the album at St. Cecilia Studios in Tucson, Arizona, USA, with engineers Steven Lee Tracy and Robbie Williamson. The album’s production then went to Artesonika Studios, Fabio and Ivan’s home base, in Perdenone, Italy. In mid 2015 Insatia’s lineup was further enhanced by the addition of Dave Ablaze (Blackguard) on bass, as album production continued overseas. Kaelen Sarakinis and Daniel Millan were added on guitars and drums in 2016. Phoenix Aflame is set for a 2017 release and features Apollo Papathanasio (ex-Firewind, Spiritual Beggers), Chris Amott (ex-Arch Enemy, Armageddon), Christian Hermsdörfer (ex-Visions Of Atlantis, Serenity), and Erica James (The Erica James Band).

Misery Signals Releasing “Yesterday Was Everything” Documentary

Over the last decade influential hardcore band Misery Signals has undergone overwhelming changes involving the departure of their founding singer and infighting that nearly left the band in complete shambles.  In a new documentary, directed by Matthew Mixon, titled “Yesterday Was Everything,” the band takes viewers on an intimate journey of reconciliation as they find healing in the present by confronting the demons of their past. The documentary will be available on June 30th at iTunes, Google Play and Amazon. The band will be doing an in-theater screening of the documentary in Edmonton, AB on June 20th (7:00pm at Metro Cinema at the Garneau, 8712 109th Street, Edmonton AB) with partial proceeds being donated to Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Filmed during Misery Signals 2014 tour in celebration of the 10th anniversary of their coveted album, Of Malice and the Magnum Heart, “Yesterday Was Everything” follows the band as they reunite with their former vocalist for the first time since his unceremonious ousting a decade prior.  The film explores the fatal tragedy that brought the band together and follows their journey from Vancouver to Toronto as they face old ghosts and attempt to reconcile the past.

“Yesterday Was Everything provides a glimpse into a very tumultuous period in our development as young men, friends and musicians. Without the ups and downs of those formative years it’s hard to say where we’d all be today. I believe this film offers fans of the band intimate information to questions that have otherwise gone unanswered. It allows insight into the story of Compromise; a tragedy that forever changed the trajectory of our lives.” – Stuart Ross (Guitar)

“Matthew Mixon does a fantastic job of portraying the intensity that lies within the story. The good alongside the bad, the uncomfortable moments, the love shared between the five of us that extends to all the friends and fans we have made over the last decade, and the ability to come out of it still being able to call each other friends. I can’t wait for the world to experience it.” – Kyle Johnson (Bass)

“Mixon’s film plays like a love letter to the independent music experience. You get a seat right there in the tour van as we grapple with the challenges of the road and attempt to create authentic music together. For those outside of the band’s audience “YWE” allows an inside look at a scene they might be unaware of. It strikes me that my bandmates and the others in the film bear little resemblance to the “metalhead” archetype.  And you do get an intimate look at us, as scary as that is, you get 3 dimensions that include our failings and flaws. But that’s what I think sets the film apart from other music documentaries I’ve seen. There’s a vulnerability that anyone can relate to, and I think everyone walks away with a better understanding. Especially us.” – Ryan Morgan (guitar)

Misery Signals got their start in 2002 and quickly gained notoriety after the release of 2004’s critically acclaimed record Of Malice and the Magnum Heart; an album which breathed fresh life into the the genre with the band’s signature style of aggressive riffs, melodic bridges and atmospheric elements and went on to be one of the most influential metalcore albums of the last decade.  Following the departure of vocalist Jesse Zaraska, the band went on to release three more albums, Mirrors (2006), Controller (2008) and Absent Light (2013) with Karl Schubach helming vocal duties, which were all praised by fans within the metal/hardcore scenes.

Zaraska reunited with the band in 2014 for an Of Malice and the Magnum Heart 10th anniversary tour and has since performed a handful of shows with the original lineup.
