“You know, I liked them [Metallica]. If the friendship was restarted, it wouldn’t bother me. I would accept, and I think it would be nice to revisit some of those times. But I just think because there was a lot of hurt and misunderstanding around our time together that it would be difficult not to keep bringing up the past. I think what needs to happen is there needs to be a Megadeth/Metallica tour. Period. That would, I’m sure, make everything right. We could hang out. Spend time together. But I know they don’t really tour like we do. I mean, when we go out on tour, we play many, many shows.” (Revolver)
Thrash Metal Legends EXODUS Announce 12th Studio Album, Goliath, Out March 20, 2026 via Napalm Records Pre-Order NOW
Massive First Single “3111” Unleashed | Listen HERE
The Official Video Was Too Brutal for YouTube Watch Gary Holt’s Statement HERE
EXODUS have announced their 12th studio album, the follow up to their highest charting record ever and Napalm Records debut, Goliath, out March 20, 2026! Today, the band reveals the massive opening track “3111” – the sinister single strikes dissonant chords before careening into breakneck thrash intensity. This album standout showcases EXODUS‘ ever-increasingly dynamic approach, even decades into their historic reign.
Emerging hungrier than ever in 2026, with Goliath, EXODUS reinforces their eternal foothold at the top of thrash metal’s hierarchy with 10 of their most diverse, anthemic emissions to date. Further fueled by the widely embraced return of iconic late-era frontman Rob Dukes – first appearing on 2005’s Shovel Headed Kill Machine – the album boasts what the band describes as the performance of his life. Goliath is EXODUS’ most collaborative record in their four decade-plus history, featuring songs written by several band members and guest contributions from Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, Pain) and violinist Katie Jacoby.
EXODUS on “3111”: “We decided to go hard with the leadoff single, ‘3111’. The song is about the narco killings in Juarez, and ‘3111’ is the estimated number of murders for 2010 alone.”
Goliath wastes no time proving as massive as its name, with a sinister introduction opening “3111”. Ode to owning one’s own volatility “Hostis Humani Generis” features a palpable lyrical delivery from Rob Dukes that cuts like crystal amid frenetic riffs, before rolling into “The Changing Me”. The track’s introductory notes cascade into hair-raising rhythms, forming one of the band’s most anthemic offerings – blending menace and melody with the cleans of guest Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, Pain) together with Tom Hunting and at the end both Peter and Robb scream off the song. Harmonic dual axe acrobatics from resident guitar legends Gary Holt and Lee Altus. “Promise You This” incites mosh pit treachery with explosive energy, cyclonic riffs and turbocharged soloing from Holt and Altus, prior to colossal title track “Goliath” simmering the tempo down with winding, malevolent leads, towering drums and ominous string work from Katie Jacoby coupling with intricate guitars. The album standout showcases the band’s ever-increasingly dynamic approach, even decades into their historic reign. Tracks like “Beyond The Event Horizon” and “2 Minutes Hate” provide EXODUS’ trademark deadly dose of thrash theatricality – the latter boasting one of the album’s most grimacing, grooving pit primers – while undeniably 90s-tinged metallic charm attacks alongside drummer Tom Hunting and bassist Jack Gibson’s unmistakable rhythmic rage on tracks like “Violence Works”. The nearly eight-minute epic “Summon Of The God Unknown” turns the danger dial to max capacity, setting the stage with a wicked introductory passage before traversing a variegated passage of trudging riffs and heavy metal melody. Power packed closer “The Dirtiest Of The Dozen” wraps the album on a manic high, showcasing EXODUS pulling out all the stops on all instruments. Flurried dueling solos, an isolated bass excursion, rigorous drum dexterity and a blend of both gritty vocal passages and cutting chants combine to serve as yet another prime example of the band’s ever-evolving musical mastery.
Produced by EXODUS, mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis (Whitechapel, Nile, Undeath), Goliath beams with the explosive authenticity that has set EXODUS eons apart from their peers since the release of their debut, 1985’s groundbreaking thrash blueprint Bonded By Blood. 40 years later, EXODUS are steadfast in their refusal to settle for the safety of mediocrity, fearing nothing and no one and continuing to forge their trademark just as resolutely as they did in their fruition.
EXODUS on the new album Goliath: “Are we excited for this record? That’s an understatement. We put everything we had into this record (and it’s 80 percent complete follow up, but we’ll save that conversation for another day!) and it’s one of our proudest accomplishments. Wildly collaborative, the most band centric album to date with four songs written by Lee, lyrics by Gary, Rob, Lee and Tom, and just killer all the way around. The time to let the monster loose is coming! Bow Down!”

I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, out now via Century Media Records, is Lorna Shore’s fifth album and the first in three years since 2022’s Pain Remains and continues the band’s reputation as one of the most impressive extreme metal acts to emerge in recent memory.
The quintet, also including lead guitarist Adam De Micco, drummer Austin Archey, rhythm guitarist Andrew O’Connor and bassist Michael Yager, have hit the viral Spotify charts, racked up hundreds of millions of streams, embarked on highly successful tours and in the process, galvanized a significant fanbase that hangs onto the band’s quest for stylistic inversion. But by virtue of physical onslaught and wanting to divine truth from their music, Lorna Shore have kept themselves fired up by torching the metal rulebook at every turn, practically demanding that other genres step up their game.

Kami Kehoe Reimagines A Modern Rock Classic “SEX ON FIRE“
Alt-rock star on the rise, Kami Kehoe, has returned with a smoldering, slow-burn cover of, “SEX ON FIRE“, arriving via Atlantic Records, Coup D’Etat Recordings and 10K Projects. Channeling the ache of the Kings of Leon original, Kami transforms the rock anthem into a darker, more atmospheric version thats powerfully her own. Listen to “SEX ON FIRE“, the fan-demanded cover born from live performances and teasers that drew in millions of views, HERE.
Coming off the back of her latest single, “FADE OUT,” and a nationwide tour supporting Daughtry, Seether, and POD (which saw her regularly invited to join them on stage), Kami continues to cement her place as one of the genre’s most magnetic rising voices. Named as one of Pandora’s Artists to Watch in 2026 (The Pandora Ten) and continuing to rack up spins on Sirius XM’s Octane, Kami is entering the new year with undeniable momentum.
Standing at the start of a new year and reflecting on the “KANDY” era, “FADE OUT“, the stages she’s hit along the way, and this brand new cover, Kami Kehoe shares:
“Starting 2026 with this release feels really special to me. I actually started working on my cover of “SEX ON FIRE” 4 years ago, and the way fans connect with it has never left my mind. It feels really good to finally give it a proper release and let this version live in the world. I’ve been pouring everything into new music, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear what’s next.”
Expanding her footprint across the rock world, Kami‘s breakout “KANDY” EP is also being celebrated with her very first vinyl pressing, limited to 500 copies as a Revolver-exclusive. Side A features the physical exclusive production masters sequenced as one long continuous track, pressed on Blue & Silver Sparkle vinyl with a silk-screened B-side. Fans can find more details and purchase the exclusive variant HERE.
Kami‘s growing profile extends beyond the music itself, with a feature in the winter issue of Revolver, spotlighting her rise at the intersection of heavy, alt, and modern rock. As she continues to build on the viral success of tracks like, “DOPAMINE” and “SLEEP WHEN I’M DEAD”, Kami‘s “SEX ON FIRE” cover stands as a smoky, emotionally charged statement of where she’s headed next.
On stage, Kami‘s 2026 is already packed with high moments, including a performance supporting Godsmack as a part of WMMR’s MMRBQ and her set at Rock Fest (WI), placing her alongside some of rock’s most established names.
To begin her 2026 live run, Kami will also return to Los Angeles for a special headlining show at the Roxy on February 19. Fans can find Kami’s full touring schedule HERE.
With signature gritty guitars, atmospheric production, and Kami‘s evocative vocals, her latest single, “FADE OUT” closed out 2025 as one of her most emotionally charged releases to date. The track capped off her “KANDY” EP era that documented the full arc of heartbreak and healing, garnering millions of streams, 100 million views in short form content, and viral popularity worldwide. Her hit single, “DOPAMINE“, earned over 30 million streams and hit #11 on Sirius XM Octane’s “Big Uns” Countdown, spotlighting her growth in the modern rock landscape.
Carving out her own space in the alt-rock world, Kami Kehoe has impressively amassed over 105 million streams and more than 2 million social media followers by blending a sultry, velvety vocal with a hard-charged rock energy. Since breaking out with the viral hit “SLEEP WHEN I’M DEAD”, she has continued to evolve her sound—infusing shoegaze, metal, and hip-hop influences into her music while remaining unapologetically authentic.
Be sure to stay tuned for more Kami Kehoe news coming very soon.
Nailed Shut MA Announce A Promise Made, A Promise Kept EP Arriving March 5, 2026
NAILED SHUT MA consistently bring raw energy and thoughtful disorder to each and every performance, delivering a sonic force that pushes New England’s hardcore/deathcore scene to the next level. Forming in 2022, the Boston five-piece — Asher Thomas (vocals), Joel Arnall (guitar/BGV), Mason Roth (guitar/BGV), Owen Chepow (bass), and Jake Thompson (drums) — are pleased to announce the March 5 release of their new EP, titled a promise made, a promise kept. Artwork is pictured above.
Pre-order the EP here. The vinyl version is also available for pre-order here. It is a citrus-colored variant and limited to 250 copies.
“This EP has been such a long time coming for us, and we couldn’t feel more fulfilled,” the band says. “With a promise made, a promise kept, we really felt as if we’ve begun to lean into a signature sound that can only be described as ‘an eeriness of self-inflicted violence.’ This EP contains intense themes of mental health awareness and personal harm. We’ve truly poured our all into this record as we take from personal experiences of loss and the departure of self-control. Ultimately, a promise made, a promise kept isn’t in any way a pretty listen. But it’s here to drown out the dread that may be eating at you and it’s here to help in any way it can.”
A PROMISE MADE, A PROMISE KEPT EP TRACK LISTING: “A Promise Made” (Instrumental Intro) “Devoured“ “Broken & Curled“ “Centipede“ “Heaven Below Earth” “Dust To Dust” “A Promise Kept” (Instrumental Outro)
Regarding the new song, the band says,”‘Centipede’ is truly a stand out track on a promise made, a promise kept, as it was definitely our biggest writing challenge on this EP. We wanted a song that combined groove, complexity, atmosphere, and intensity all into something fresh for audiences of our genres. We’ve been debuting this song live on a few prior shows and it’s been cool to watch franticity become still for a moment during the ambient intro as an audience prepares for what’s to come and more disarray awaits.”
NAILED SHUT MA have also announced a forthcoming headline tour of the northeast. It kicks off with an EP release show on MARCH 5 at The Sinclair. Slamwich, Frog Mallet, and Multiple Pieces will serve as support.
NAILED SHUT MA ON TOUR: WITH GODSEYES: 3/5 — Cambridge, MA — The Sinclair* 3/6 — Brooklyn, NY — Wood Shop 3/7 — Binghamton, NY — Bundy Museum and Annex* 3/8 — Cleveland, OH — The Foundry 3/10 — Albany, NY — Empire Underground 3/13 — Pittsburgh, PA — Preserving Underground 3/14 — Washington, DC — DC9 3/15 — Hartford, CT — Webster Underground *No Godseyes
Lamb of God have set a MARCH 13 release date for their new album, Into Oblivion (Epic Records), marking the band’s first full-length release in four years.
Into Oblivion finds Lamb of God embracing their position as modern metal veterans, beholden to no one, with nothing left to prove. The 10-song collection references the band’s roots, doubles down on their signature groove, and expands their approach, resulting in an album that feels both deliberate and untethered.
News of Into Oblivion’s March arrival is accompanied by the debut of its title track, “Into Oblivion,” alongside a video (https://lamb-of-god.lnk.to/IntoOblivionOfficial) directed by Tom Flynn and Mike Watts. Aggressive and as unforgiving as ever, the song pairs the band’s musical ferocity with psychologically charged lyrics.
Lamb Of God “Into Oblivion”
“For me, the album is about having the space to breathe creatively and not feeling like we have to keep up with any trend or expectation,” guitarist Mark Morton shares. “It feels nice to be untethered from any agenda beyond rallying around the notion of, ‘Let’s just make music that we think is cool,’ which is really where it all started.”
Vocalist Randy Blythe doesn’t mince words on why the band decided to name the album Into Oblivion, saying candidly: “Because that’s where we’re heading. In general, the album is about the ongoing and rapid breakdown of the social contract, particularly here in America. Things are acceptable now that would’ve horrified people just 20 years ago.”
In the months leading up to today’s announcement, the metal veterans released a pair of blistering singles that offered listeners a taste of the album’s range. “Sepsis,” the band’s first new song since 2022, paid homage to the early ‘90s Richmond underground that shaped Lamb of God’s formative years. Consequence, in their Heavy Song of the Week feature, noted the track’s fresh approach, saying “Morton’s riffs are bruising at this slower pace,” and adding that Blythe bellows “like a heavy metal Nick Cave.” “Parasocial Christ” followed, evoking classic Lamb of God with a three-minute onslaught that Revolver dubbed an “anti-tech thrasher.”
Produced and mixed by longtime studio collaborator Josh Wilbur, Into Oblivion was recorded across multiple locations tied closely to the band’s identity. Drums were tracked in Richmond, Va., with guitars and bass recorded at Morton’s home studio. Blythe recorded his vocals at the legendary Total Access studio in Redondo Beach, Calif., the birthplace of seminal punk records by Black Flag, Hüsker Dü, and Descendents.
Album pre-orders, including multiple limited-edition vinyl variants and signed copies, are available now (https://shop.lamb-of-god.com/collections/into-oblivion). An unannounced first pressing of the album was quietly posted on the band’s website earlier this week, and sold out immediately.

Converge “We Were Never The Same”
“It’s this simple. Rock The Country isn’t just a music festival; it’s a movement,” says Kid Rock. “In 2026, as America celebrates its 250th anniversary, this is a place for hard-working, God-fearing patriots to gather as one and celebrate freedom, music and the party of the year” We here at The Podcast That Rocked would like to remind anyone to not listen to Kid Rock. His music or anything he says in general.

Avatar Announce Spring 2026 Headline Tour New Album Don’t Go In The Forest Out Now
The heavy metal visionaries collectively known as AVATAR — vocalist Johannes Eckerström, guitarists Jonas Jarlsby and Tim Öhrström, bassist Henrik Sandelin, and drummer John Alfredsson — unleashed their latest masterwork Don’t Go in the Forest last year on Halloween — how fitting! Listen and get the album HERE.
Avatar then hit the road for their massive North American headline run. And that was just the beginning of their Herculean international touring schedule. Avatar will spend the foreseeable future (if not forever) on the road.
Today, the band announces a Spring 2026 headline tour of North America. It kicks off on April 16 in Sacramento and runs through May 20 in Hampton Beach, NH. It includes stops at Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple.
Fleshgod Apocalypse and Frozen Soul will serve as support.
Regarding their return to the States, Eckerström offers, “USA. It started off innocently enough. Hiking along on a trail. Sunny. Pleasant. Safe. Then night came, and the trail slowly faded. You can’t go back, as you don’t know where you came from. You don’t even dare to turn around, as you can feel someone, or something, watching. What you were, all the way back in the warm embrace of civilization, doesn’t matter. Here. it’s just you and the trees.”
He adds, “We will be seeing you.”
Tickets go on sale on Friday, January 16 at 10am local time. Get tickets here.
