Taylor Momsen and Ben Phillips of The Pretty Reckless have the windiest interview ever to talk about how raw rock and roll is an experience and what happens on the tour bus, stays on the tour bus.

Seether are on the beginning of their long summer tour hitting up festivals and promoting their upcoming album “Poison The Parish” which will be available May 12th. The band has acquired the help of Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery for this tour and will be traveling relentlessly across the US this summer and then travelling to Europe this fall.
Rise Above fest will also be coming this summer to promote suicide awareness, headlined by Korn and Stone Sour. More information on the festival held in Maine can be found here: http://riseabovefest.com/
Along with all this, Seether still returned to Welcome To Rockville and fried in the sun while performing to 10,000+ on day two at the Metropolitan Stage. In This Moment are embarking on the second half of their “Half God Half Devil” tour and featuring new music from their upcoming album hopefully due later this year. One of the upcoming songs is “River Of Fire” which definitely has the wild delivery that shows up Maria Brink’s range in singing as well as a strong beat. We will be posting more information on the album when available. Upcoming tour dates can be found on their website www.inthismomentofficial.com.
That being said, most people that have ever seen In This Moment live know what a spectacle it is. Different outfits for every song. Smoke cannons and murderous dancers. Randy Weitzel being dragged around by Maria. It’s something to behold. Click any photo below to see the gallery and scroll below the photos to see their most recent music video for “The Fighter”.

I haven’t seen The Pretty Reckless perform live since 2014. Hearing them again years later reaffirmed my belief that they are one of the few remaining bands in rock that are dedicated to strip away the gimmicks and give a real rock and roll sound.
I was able to interview the band later in the day. They will be performing select dates with Soundgarden and then heading off on a world tour through South America and Europe. Their latest album Who You Selling For? is available now. Click any of the photos below to open the gallery and scroll below the photos to see the music video for their single “Oh My God”.
A quick talk with Dustin and Ron of Starset where we discuss the new music video for “Telepathic”, upcoming touring, the inside of Dustin’s brain, and dad jokes!

Soundgarden closed out day one of Welcome To Rockville 2017 with a wall of lights in front of 25,000+ crammed together. For many (including myself), getting to see Soundgarden live felt like an impossibility because we never thought we would be able to see it. But it happened. In all their glory, Soundgarden took the stage on a very hot Florida night.
Before playing “Outshined”, Chris Cornell took to the mic and thanked everyone for coming out. He then said that they’d be playing a lot of songs they haven’t played in a while and that needed to get the dust off.
But from the way they sounded, there was no dust. It was as smooth as anyone could have ever imagined.

Starting their next touring cycle of festivals and concerts along side bands like In This Moment, Starset have built a new stage production and design for their society. The band is promoting their latest album Vessels which is continuously getting radio play for their singles “Monster” and now “Telepathic” which had a new music video released this past week.
It was a sweaty gross but fantastic time in Florida. Ron’s mask almost went flying off while headbanging and Dustin sweat off a good gallon of water during the set, but the massive sunburned crowd loved it.

Stone Sour unleashed their eponymous debut album in 2002 and was immediately confirmed as one of the most significant hard rock outfits of the 21st century. The self-titled release earned RIAA gold certification while singles “Get Inside” and “Inhale” each received GRAMMY® Award nominations for “Best Metal Performance.”
COME WHAT(EVER) MAY followed in 2006 and proved an even greater accomplishment with a top 5 debut on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 and a #1 entry onto Billboard’s “Rock Albums” chart. The acclaimed album spawned still another GRAMMY®-nominated single in “30/30-150” on its own way to RIAA gold certification. COME WHAT(EVER) MAY unleashed a series of rock radio classics, including “Sillyworld,” “Made of Scars,” the #1 hit, “Through Glass,” which spent seven weeks atop Billboard’s “Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks” while also reaching #2 on “Alternative Songs” and the top 40 on the overall “Hot 100.” The song’s companion video was also a favorite, now with over 44 million individual views at YouTube alone.
Stone Sour’s most recent all-original releases, the monumental HOUSE OF GOLD & BONES – PART 1 and HOUSE OF GOLD & BONES – PART 2, both made top 10 debuts on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 just six months apart from one another – the band’s third and fourth consecutive top 10 chart entries. The two-part concept album yielded a string of multi-format rock radio hits, including the top 5 favorites “Absolute Zero,” “Do Me A Favor,” and “Tired,” the latter of which ascended to #1 at Mainstream Rock outlets nationwide.
HOUSE OF GOLD & BONES drew widespread critical applause with ArtistDirect hailing “PART 1” as “a milestone for Stone Sour and for modern rock music. It’s on par with Alice In Chains’ ‘DIRT,’ Metallica’s MASTER OF PUPPETS, Queens of the Stone Age’s SONGS FOR THE DEAF, Soundgarden’s SUPERUNKNOWN, and any other game-changing albums you can think of.” HOUSE OF GOLD & BONES – PART 2 earned equally great acclaim, including placement on Revolver’s “Top 20 Albums of 2013” and Loudwire’s “Top 10 Rock + Metal Albums of 2013” ranking. The Guardian, in its four-out-of-five starred rave, praised Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor’s “remarkable transformation into heavy music’s premier polymath and renaissance man” while further hailing the album’s “towering melodies and moments of radio-friendly majesty, the band’s trademark straddling of the divide between metal and commercial rock sounding increasingly adroit.”
2015 saw the arrival of STRAIGHT OUTTA BURBANK, an unprecedented EP in which Stone Sour take on five immortal songs originally performed by such iconic artists as Bad Brains, Iron Maiden, The Rolling Stones, Mötley Crüe, and Slayer. The EP is highlighted by a stunning rendition of The Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter” featuring distinctive guest vocals from Lzzy Hale of Atlantic recording group Halestorm, STRAIGHT OUTTA BURBANK is available now at all DSPs and streaming services.
Known far and wide as a truly incendiary live act, Stone Sour has built an international fan following through countless headline tours, multi-artist caravans, and performances at such famed festivals as Rock In Rio and the UK’s Download Festival.

Highly Suspect debut official video for anticipated new single: Little One
Sophomore album, The Boy Who Died Wolf available now
“‘Little One’ is about love slipping through the cracks. It’s the feeling you have when you know you just lost your lover, you’re right hand, your best friend.
Our videos try to capture emotion. Standing in an empty room pretending to play instruments is something you’ll never see us do. I grew up watching real music videos. Stories. ‘Thriller’ comes to mind. You already know we’re a band. Why do you need to see a guitar? As artists, we need to continue making art in all aspects. The actual ‘Little One’ in this video is played by the real life woman the song was written about, Madison Parker…and that was the last time I saw her. The irony here, is that the band pulls me away from love. It’s very true to life.”
– Highly Suspect frontman, Johnny Stevens
Highly Suspect today release the official video for their new single, “Little One,” available via 300 Entertainment. “Little One” is the second single from the band’s critically praised sophomore album, The Boy Who Died Wolf, which debuted at #1 on the Current Alternative Album and at #2 Rock Album on the Billboard Charts. To date, the album has spent over 22 weeks on the Billboard charts.
“Little One” is the follow-up to “My Name Is Human” which spent 9 weeks at #1 at Active, reached Top 15 at Alternative Radio and was nominated for a GRAMMY in the Best Rock Song category among legends like David Bowie, Metallica, Radiohead, and also Twenty One Pilots.
Set in the mid-1980’s, the “Little One” video stars band frontman Johnny Stevens as a thrift store manager who is at breaking point, and bandmates Rich and Ryan Meyer as policemen who are hot on his tail. The video was co-directed by DJay Brawner and Johnny Stevens.
Highly Suspect are currently on a sold-out U.S. headlining tour which wraps up on June 3 in Los Angeles. In addition, Highly Suspect will also be performing at a number of festivals this Spring, including Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees, Bottlerock, Bumbershoot the Milwaukee Summer Fest and more to be announced shortly.
Seamlessly blending melody with adrenaline fueled, heavy rock and roll, Blacktop Mojo draws in everyone from old metal heads to people whose radio dials have never left top 40 stations. With soaring, gritty vocals and impeccably blended heavy guitar grooves set around a raucous southern stomp, Blacktop Mojo’s live shows are sure to leave fans’ screaming at the top of their lungs with metal horns in the air.
“It was a blast making this video. We got to do it with a bunch of our friends from our home town of Palestine, TX in the bar where we played our first show. It basically turned into a two day party and the fun we had really comes through in the video.” – Blacktop Mojo
Formed in the final weeks of 2012, Blacktop Mojo began cutting their teeth in the numerous country venues that Texas has to offer, but the guys never quite felt like they belonged. With each song they wrote, the vocals got less twangy and the sound from the amps became more gravelly and distorted until the guys had found their own unique blend of heavy southern rock. Through touring, the band has played with many national acts such as Bon Jovi, Sammy Hagar, Aaron Lewis, Daryl “DMC’ McDaniels, Candlebox, Drowning Pool, Puddle Of Mudd, Smile Empty Soul, Audiotopsy, and Whiskey Myers.
After running the highways for two years in support of their debut album, I Am (2014), in July of this year the band loaded their gear in the van and made a trip to Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville, as well as FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL to make their sophomore effort entitled, Burn The Ships. In addition to the producer of the band’s first record, Philip Mosley, the band brought in co-producer, Jimmy Johnson of the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound studios as well as his long time engineer, Steve Melton (Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Rolling Stones, Bob Seger) to bring a seasoned sonic quality to their brand of raw, grungy rock. Burn The Ships was released March 10th of 2017 garnering critical acclaim in both US and European press outlets including Team Rock’s Classic Rock Magazine, who is quoted as saying “Blacktop Mojo might just be America’s next big rock band.”
