Dirtyphonics & Sullivan King Team Up for New EP “Vantablack” – Listen To The New Single “Sight Of Your Soul” Here

Dirtyphonics crash-landed into dance music’s consciousness in chart-topping fashion, releasing their 2008 debut single “French F***” to the tune of a Beatport #1 hit. Since then the trio, consisting of Charly Barranger, Julien ‘Pitchin’ Corrales and Julien Lignon, have become a forward-thinking, worldwide Bass phenomenon who’ve made their name on defying labels and limitations. The group has become a hot commodity in the remix world, lending their talents to tracks by the likes of Skrillex, the Bloody Beetroots, Marilyn Manson, Steve Aoki, Nero, Kaskade, The Chainsmokers, Knife Party and Linkin Park. In 2013, Dirtyphonics released their debut album Irreverence on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records label, showcasing their stylistic gamut ranging from anthemic electro to frenetic Drumstep as well as incorporating thrash guitars, pounding drums and other vestiges of the fierce heavy metal music that influences their art and characterized their past. Most recently they’ve been shaking up the Bass world with releases like ‘Watch Out’ with Bassnecatar and ‘Got Your Love’ with riot, both garnering millions of online streams as well as their “Night Ride EP”a Bass music hybrid masterpiece.

Melding his influences of post-hardcore and emo/screamo with a found love for EDM, Sullivan King is today at the helm of a burgeoning musical movement. As one of the few artists to successfully marry heavy metal and electronic music, he’s birthed a new creative space all its own. King boasts an inimitable style and sound with no regard to genre confines. His original tracks, remixes and reimagined renditions take the vitality of dance music and run it through the metal machine. The result is a bold, forward-pushing sound that’s equal parts electric and heavy. “If DJs are today’s rock stars, then Sullivan King is forging his own rock galaxy,” agrees LA Weekly (2/19/16).

Dirtyphonics Tour Dates:

Nov. 3 – Beta Nightclub, Denver, CO *

Nov. 18 – Dreamland, San Juan, PR

Nov. 24 – Site 1A, Milwaukee, WI

Nov. 25 – Venu, Buffalo, NY *

Story of the Year

Premiere New Song

“I Swear I’m Okay”

Exclusively with Billboard

From Upcoming Album

Wolves

Out December 8, 2017

“Successfully transitioning the sound and fury of their past into the modern alternative rock arena.” – Billboard

November 9th, 2017 – St. Louis, Missouri – Story of the Year is giving fans another dose of new music with the premiere of“I Swear I’m Okay” with Billboard today! The track mixes the catchy lyrics and hooks that fans have come to expect from Story of the Year with the addition of 80’s synth that blend together seamlessly for a truly special track. Singer Dan Marsala shares “There’s definitely something special about ‘I Swear I’m Okay’.  As soon as Ryan sent the demo over, ideas just started pouring out.  I sat down to record some vocal ideas and the first thing that came out of my mouth was the line, ‘I Swear I’m Okay.’  It’s something that people say, to hide the fact that things aren’t truly okay.  A mask that you wear when you don’t want to be honest with others or yourself.  This song means that and so much more to me and it’s one of my proudest moments on the record.” Fans can check out the track, here.

On the track, Billboard shares “‘I Swear I’m Okay’ sports the same adrenalized hooks that fans have come to expect from Story of the Year, deftly blending clean vocals and cathartic screams in the song’s climactic final chorus. But the band also expands their sonic palette with vintage synthesizers and electric drums, successfully transitioning the sound and fury of their past into the modern alternative rock arena.”

The single comes from upcoming album Wolves, due out December 8th, 2017. Produced by Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, New Found Glory, Acceptance) and mixed by Tom Lord-Alge & J Hall, their first full-length album since 2010 is a testament of how inspired and committed they are to making their best record yet. The upcoming album is full of depth as the band continues down a supercharged anthemic road of alternative rock/hard rock songs while remaining consistent to their classic Story of the Year soaring sound. Wolves is available for pre-order via Pledge Music now.

Recently, Story of the Year premiered “Bang Bang” exclusively with Alternative Press, who called the track a “sure-fire crowd-pleaser”and continued on by saying “it’s the perfect way of reminding fans why they fell in love with the band in the first place.”

Story of the Year fans have been singing along for the past 17 years to hit songs like “Until The Day I Die,” “Anthem of our Dying Day,” “Take Me Back,” “Wake Up” and more.  The album pre-order and other exclusive early access to behind the scenes videos, upcoming singles and more can be found here: http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001GvbOSa9Z1v4XCkq0w3vMGeaQVp17M7XibW_1fMe71jNAi6S1O54XLEy8vEkR6fVsMDdFStNI72Dv7mKDG1cMkp1UXx23fv9xXGZBVrgDZ1ZPHjeCDbyWIcREYvkpaAl4M7ZJJ90_l48GFyw3LnO_bhkxKd77g–buskkzhFEoSfcURdAzx8hlKspE9svGR13O1MeM3bbUSPINCHMDuRaBw==&c=GNqYyamBifKeqCZKlhSCDWdL7ftyGiIsNqaMySq-M10U83F7i5yBLQ==&ch=SU-nVn3ZgBmWFDPrUzINm0owcpqJG0DtYysMFu4aP8ShPgGelY0Q8A==.

Billboard Gets Rocked | October 2017

A look at the top 10 songs on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart.

This video covering the week ending October 28, 2017.

10 Second Songs’ Anthony Vincent Takes on Halloween with “12 Songs in the Style of The Nightmare Before Christmas”

10 Second Songs’ Anthony Vincent Takes on Halloween with

“12 Songs in the Style of The Nightmare Before Christmas”

10 Second Songs’ mastermind Anthony Vincent has taken a deliciously spooky turn with his newest video, “12 Songs in the Style of The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Taking on not only a broad range of songs–from Screamin’ Jay Hawkins “I Put A Spell on You” to Rob Zombie’s “Dragula”–and creating individual pieces from the ‘voices’ of specific Nightmare Before Christmas characters, Vincent has taken on some of the most iconic Halloween party favorites and brilliantly filtered them with iconic Danny Elfman orchestration.

“This was my first attempt at tackling an orchestral sound for an entire piece/video, and it was a challenge, a lot of fun and something I’m interested in exploring more as I go. But in this case, I had a lot of fun because I love Halloween and anything Danny Elfman/Tim Burton. ” – Anthony Vincent

“Among the songs getting a fresh spin with Vincent’s vocals are a very theatric rendition of Slayer’s ‘Dead Skin Mask,’ a spooktacular but brief nod to Rob Zombie’s ‘Dragula’ and Type O Negative’s ‘Black No. 1’ as more of a melodic ballad. And what would a medley of songs covered in the style of The Nightmare Before Christmas be without the singer taking on a song from the composer, revisiting Danny Elfman’s work in Oingo Boingo with ‘Dead Man’s Party.'” – Loudwire

“The Nightmare Before Christmas contains one of the most iconic Halloween soundtracks of all time, but what would happen if you took the voices of Jack Skellington or Oogie Boogie and had them sing creepy tracks from Slayer and Michael Jackson?  The results are better than you ever could have imagined.” – Alternative Press

This was the second time I had seen Nothing More live in the past month.  I can honestly say that I still feel that’s not enough.  There is an energy that instantly hits when Nothing More opens up with “Christ Copyright”.  The Stories We Tell Ourselves is an extremely strong album that proves what these Texans are capable of.  Click on any photo below to open the gallery and scroll below the photos to watch the music video for “Don’t Stop” featuring Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix.
