Dolores O’Riordan’s Children Honored With Check From Proceeds Of Bad Wolves’ “Zombie”

THE CRANBERRIES’ DOLORES O’RIORDAN’S CHILDREN HONORED WITH

QUARTER MILLION DOLLAR CHECK FROM BAD WOLVES

BAND PLEDGES THEIR PROCEEDS FROM HIT COVER OF “ZOMBIE”

Last night at a sold out Gramercy Theatre in New York City, Bad Wolves presented a $250,000 check to Dolores O’ Riordan’s family onstage prior to a performance of “Zombie”. O’Riordan’s two sons, Donny Jr. and Taylor Burton, alongside their father, Don Burton, were presented with the gift in an emotional moment. The check was also accepted on behalf of their younger sisters, Molly and Dakota Burton.

O’Riordan was set to record her iconic vocals on the track on the day of her tragic passing. In advance of their debut album, Disobey, the band released “Zombie” as a single, with the commitment to bestow their proceeds to her four children. The unprecedented global success of“Zombie” lead to the raising of $250,000, with a promise for more.

Our sadness the day Dolores passed was nothing compared to that of her children and her family. In light of the tragedy, donating our proceeds to her children was the only thing that made sense. The ultimate goal is to present them with a $1,000,000 check – and the fact we’re a quarter of the way there is beyond incredible,” reflects Bad Wolves frontman Tommy Vext. The connection that people have to this song, the stories, the memories and the kids who are hearing this song through Bad Wolves for the first time – it’s a true testament to the timelessness of their mother’s songwriting that will live on forever, and we are so grateful to be able to do this for them.”

Bad Wolves’ “Zombie” has been certified Gold in the United States and Australia, as well as gaining Platinum status in Canada. The track has topped charts worldwide, including the U.S. iTunes overall and rock chartsBillboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs chart, Spotify’s Global Viral 50 chart, while also reigning atop the Active Rock radio chart for three straight weeks . Bad Wolves have also earned the #1 spot on the Billboard Emerging Artists chart. Additionally, the single has been planted atop the iTunes Metal chart in the U.K. and Germany for five straight months. The official music video, a tribute to O’Riordan and an homage to the original, has garnered over 125 million views across platforms.

Their debut album, Disobey, released in May via Eleven Seven Music, achieved the #22 spot on theBillboard Top 200, #2 on the Hard Rock Chart#4 on Rock, and #8 on the Top Current AlbumsChart. Consisting of vocalist Tommy Vext (ex-Divine Heresy), drummer John Boecklin (ex-DevilDriver), guitarist Doc Coyle (Vagus Nerve, ex-God Forbid), guitarist Chris Cain (Bury Your Dead), and bassist Kyle Konkiel (ex-In This Moment), Bad Wolves have proven themselves to be the global breakout band of 2018.

Bad Wolves will be touring extensively throughout the rest of 2018, with the “What’s In Your Head” tour continuing through July 6th with label mates From Ashes to New and special guest Diamante. They will also be joining Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin and Nothing More on their massive amphitheater tour this summer. All tour dates listed below. For tickets, VIP packages and more information, visit www.badwolvesnation.com.

PERFORMING AT VANS WARPED TOUR 2018

EUROPEAN HEADLINE TOUR SLATED FOR THE FALL

MISERY ARRIVES ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 24TH

Roadrunner Records band The Amity Affliction have unveiled details of their widely anticipated new album, MISERY which arrives worldwide Friday, August 24th (see album art / track listing attached).

MISERY is available for pre-order today, with all orders joined by an instant grat download of the album’s electrifying first single, “Ivy (Doomsday),” which is streaming now accompanied by a cinematic official music video at www.theamityaffliction.net. Written and co-directed by the band’s own Joel Birch, the official video for “Ivy (Doomsday)” marks the first chapter of a three-part short film chronicling a dark tale of three friends and their quest for vengeance. Additional chapters will be unveiled in the weeks to come – for regular updates, please visit www.theamityaffliction.net.

The Amity Affliction will celebrate MISERY with an epic tour schedule, beginning this week with a North American run as part of the milestone final Vans Warped Tour 2018. Those dates begin tomorrow, June 21st at Pomona, CA’s Fairplex and continue through early August (see attached itinerary). From there, The Amity Affliction will head to Europe for a headline tour slated for stops in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Norway, and Belgium. Support on select dates will come from DREAM STATE, The Plot In You, Endless Heights, and others. For complete details and ticket information, please visitwww.theamityaffliction.net/tour.

Recorded earlier this year in Baltimore, MD with producer Matt Squire (Panic! At The Disco, Ariana Grande, Underoath), MISERY is the long-awaited follow-up to The Amity Affliction’s acclaimed fifth studio album, THIS COULD BE HEARTBREAK. That LP made a spectacular chart debut upon its 2016 arrival, entering among the top 30 on the U.S. SoundScan/Billboard 200 while also charting at #1 in their native Australia – The Amity Affliction’s third consecutive time topping the ARIA Album Chart.

THIS COULD BE HEARTBREAK – which includes the singles/videos, “This Could Be Heartbreak,” “I Bring The Weather With Me,” “All F*cked Up,” and “Fight My Regret” – earned ecstatic acclaim and press attention along with its popular success, including a cover feature in Rolling Stone AustraliaKerrang! awarded the album four Ks, hailing it as the band’s “personal-best” while noting, “This is heartbreak, and The Amity Affliction have rendered it more magnificently than ever.” “(The Amity Affliction’s) ear for an unstoppable melody demands respect,” declared Metal Hammer, while Blunt noted, “(THIS COULD BE HEARTBREAK) strikes from a darker angle…its melancholy burns fervent.” “Synth-soaked tracks and lyrical masterpieces dominate the album,” raved Vulture Magazine, “showing the Amity boys have an ability to provide a definitive yet ever-evolving sound, tying in new fans while still catering to the old.” “(THIS COULD BE HEARTBREAK) glistens with vivid memories and brutal honesty that is unapologetic,” wrote Outburn, while Alternative Presssummed it best: “The Amity Affliction are at their strongest.”

THIS COULD BE HEARTBREAK followed The Amity Affliction’s ARIA platinum-certified #1 album, LET THE OCEAN TAKE ME, which proved an international breakthrough for the group. LET THE OCEAN TAKE ME marked The Amity Affliction’s second consecutive time topping the ARIA Album Chart following2012’s gold certified CHASING GHOSTS. More recently, the band released SEEMS LIKE FOREVER, the #1 ARIA gold certified documentary chronicling The Amity Affliction’s history up through their epic “Let The Ocean Take Me World Tour,” which saw the band performing in front of sold-out crowds around the globe, including shows at New York City’s Irving Plaza and London’s KOKO.  Furthermore, the single, “Shine On” came in at #25 on Triple J’s “Hottest 100” of 2016. For more than a decade, The Amity Affliction has confronted the very darkest edges of man’s existence through their music and with SEVERED TIES, 2008’s full-length debut, and 2010’s ARIA gold-certified follow-up, YOUNGBLOODS, The Amity Affliction instantly established themselves as leading force in the heavy music world.

The Amity Affliction is Joel Birch (vocals), Ahren Stringer (bass, vocals), and Dan Brown (guitar).

Real Friends Announce Third Album Composure

REAL FRIENDS ANNOUNCE THIRD ALBUM COMPOSURE

Out July 13 Through Fearless Records

Single “Smiling On The Surface” Out Today On Billboard

Music Video For “From The Outside” Is Out Now, Boasting 230k+ Views

Headlining The Final Vans Warped Tour, Kicks Off June 21st

Over the weekend, Illinois rock-group REAL FRIENDS announced that their third studio album Composure is set to release on July 13 through Fearless Records. This past Friday, June 15, a select group of Chicago fans listened to the album in full after attending surprise listening parties at Sip Of Hope, Evolution Music and Rowboat Creative. Footage from the event can be viewed here.

Billboard announced the album today, noting the album’s, “polished pop-rock sound allows Lambton’s voice to soar as the group dives into their most emotionally mature content yet, addressing mental health, acceptance and, most importantly, learning to love yourself.

Fans can listen to singles “From The Outside” (video now boasting 230k+ views on YouTube) and “Smiling On The Surface”, out today. Pre-orders are available here: http://found.ee/composurebundles. The news of Composure comes out ahead of the bands headlining run on the Vans Warped Tour, which kicks off June 21 at the Pomona Fairplex Grounds in Pomona, CA.

It’s been two years since the band released The Home Inside My Head, which earned a Billboard Top 200 chart placement. When approaching Composure, the band found themselves working harder than ever on what they wanted to say with this album. “We have never put this much time and effort into a record,” explains bassist, Kyle Fasel. “Composure is everything we’ve always come up short on. We focused more on melodies than ever before. We focused more on the overall emotional climate of each song than ever before. I truly think that every song on the record stands on its own. But when all the songs come together it creates our best effort to date.”

Produced by Mike Green (The Aces, All Time Low, The Mowgli’s, Paramore), the album features 10 tracks filled with unforgettable pop-rock hooks that showcase the band’s progression from a pop-punk band to full-fledged pop-rock juggernaut. Even with the pop hooks, the songwriting throughout the album explores an emotionally mature side to the rock group, touching on mental health, being accepted, and above all, learning to love yourself.

Composure is available for review upon request. The band is available for interviews, and will be having a Los Angeles press day on June 25. Please reach out to Maria@reybee.com regarding album review and interview requests.

REAL FRIENDS is Kyle Fasel (Bass), Dave Knox (Guitar), Dan Lambton (Frontman), Brian Blake (Drums), and Eric Haines (Guitar).

at Pop’s on June 12th, 2018

This was my first time seeing Flogging Molly live.  During their set, Dave King told a story about a time years ago when he came to the St. Louis area and went to the same strip club that was in the area of Pop’s.  My favorite part being that his lovely wife was standing right next to him while he told the story.

I loved it and the crowd did also.  Click on any photo below to open the gallery and scroll below the photos to watch the music video for “Reptiles (We Woke Up)” as well as upcoming tour dates for their tour with Dropkick Murphys.

at Pop’s on June 12th, 2018.

It might have been a  very warm night just outside of St. Louis but the environment could not have been better for the return of Dropkick Murphys to the area.  On the set of Pop’s outdoor concert stage, the band performed songs through twenty years of music including tracks from their latest album 11 Short Stories Of Pain & Glory.

One of the highlights came when the question from the stage was asked: “How many of you have been with us since 1994?”  After a few people in the crowd cheered, a reply came on the microphone saying “We weren’t around in 1994!   You all lied!  Get out of here!”  It was a special moment and a genuine laugh from everyone in the crowd.

Generation X is known as being the generation of slackers, cynical and disaffected, but they’re also the MTV Generation, and they demand excellence in their music. As the traditional industry has deconstructed, fame increasingly narrowed to a small minority of bands, this generation of fans have continued to support and eagerly anticipate the raw, unfiltered experience of their rock Gods. Now, as a new rock music culture emerges, one defined by fans and artists rather than labels and MTV, LOUDWIRE’s GEN-X SUMMER WITH BUCKCHERRY, P.O.D., LIT and ALIEN ANT FARM is set to remind us that rock never died.
