Atreyu Announce New Album “In Our Wake,” Drop Two New Songs

ATREYU ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM IN OUR WAKE OUT OCTOBER 12 VIA SEARCH & DESTROY/SPINEFARM

BAND DROPS TWO NEW SONGS — LISTEN TO “IN OUR WAKE” + “ANGER LEFT BEHIND

Orange County mainstays Atreyu are pleased to announce their upcoming seventh studio album In Our Wake. The record is due out October 12 via Search & Destroy/Spinefarm.

The band has shared two brand new songs from the album — the title track, which is also a video, and “Anger Left Behind.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Qv8u07pcGo

“With this music video, we wanted our longtime director friend Sean Stiegemeie to come up with something completely unlike anything we’ve done before,” states bassist Porter McKnight, offering some insight into the visual. “We wanted to leave the viewer with a feeling of ‘What the fuck did I just watch!?’ and then play it again to deduce what went down.

“Most of our videos have been story-based or life-based. But with this, we just wanted the subtle thread of humanity’s growth and decline. It starts with water, then earth, nature, cityscapes, then slowly decaying humanity. We have a choice as a species to start giving a shit about ourselves and the world around us, and what we choose to make of this life.”

Following a two-year tour cycle for 2015’s Long Live, Atreyu regrouped in Southern California and started sharing ideas for what would become offering number seven. Ceremoniously, they all agreed it would be the right time to reunite with producer John Feldmann who famously helmed Lead Sails and Paper Anchor.

In Our Wake sees Atreyu once again evolving. The first single and title track hinges on a slow burning, but bombastic percussive buildup before charging ahead with an undeniable chant and fiery fretwork.

“It’s a deep one,” says singer Alex Varkatzas. “We looked up to Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington, and their deaths were fresh during the writing process. It made us think of what we’ll leave in our wake. We have a choice to change the lives of others for the better.”

“The album title In Our Wake comes from the idea that every day we humans have two roads we can go down,” furthers McKnight about the deeper meaning rooted within the album. “Do you choose to inspire, uplift, and enhance each others lives? Or do you prefer to belittle, shit talk, and tear down each other down? With each choice made you leave a ripple that reflects across your community, then onto your city, to your nation, and eventually all across the globe. Who do you leave in your wake?”

“This album is sort of a happy place for Atreyu,” says drummer/singer Brandon Saller. ‘We’ve gone down many roads. We’ve always been a diverse band that tried new things but this is different. This is a whole new level.”

ATREYU ARE:
Alex Varkatzas — Vocals
Brandon Saller — Drums/Vocals
“BIG”Dan Jacobs — Guitar
Travis Miguel — Guitar
Porter McKnight — Bass

Starset To Release Vessels 2.0 on September 28, 2018

STARSET TO RELEASE VESSELS 2.0 ON SEPTEMBER 28

ALBUM INCLUDES REIMAGINED TRACKS FROM ORIGINAL RELEASE

Visionary media collective STARSET have announced that they will release Vessels 2.0 on Friday, September 28. The deluxe version of last year’s sophomore effort Vessels will include several reimagined, acoustic, and remixed versions of songs, along with an unexpected cover, for a total of nine new tracks.

Vessels 2.0 is the expanded edition of the band’s Fearless Records debut and builds upon a schema where futurism has become fact and imagination is opportunity. The deluxe collection is a prolific precursor to the band’s third album, due out next year.

The first song, an epic reworking of “Bringing It Down” was released to all DSPs today.

Listen here.

In addition to the digital release, a 3-LP deluxe vinyl addition will also be available.

Starset will be sharing a new track from Vessels 2.0 each week until the release — opening up a sonic treasure trove for fans to discover.

Vessels has proven to be a watershed moment for Starset. Upon release in January 2017, it debuted at #11 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, while the first single “Monster” was the second most played song of the year at rock radio. Since then, the album has been streamed 100 million times. Additionally, the band’s slate of YouTube videos have amassed over a billion cumulative views.

It’s the unique vision and goals of founder, frontman, and aural architect Dustin Bates that have truly allowed Starset, who are part-cinematic rock band and part-conceptual storytelling unit, to flourish and to stand head and shoulders above the rest. Bates is not only an audio alchemist but also a PhD candidate in electrical engineering. He has conducted research for the U.S. Air Force and has also taught at the International Space University in France — he is actively dedicated to promoting science to a wider audience. The band was also the subject of its own Marvel graphic novel The Prox Transmissions.

Thanks to the music and the sci-fi concept, along with the videos, novels, websites, and “can’t miss” live shows, Starset are blurring the line between art and science, offering fans a fully immersive experience that is truly unlike any other.

Black Mirrors Release Their Third Single “Burning Warriors” – Album Look Into The Black Mirror Out On August 31st

Black Mirrors – Release Their Third Single “Burning Warriors”!

Album Look Into The Black Mirror Out On August 31st!

Belgium’s BLACK MIRRORS release the third single “Burning Warriors” from their upcoming album Look Into The Black Mirror. After the soulful “Moonstone,””Burning Warriors”shows another side of the band, highlighting singer Marcella Di Troia. The song starts as a straight forward Rock’n’Roll song, veers towards floating post rock and ends with a heavy outburst. It’s this versatile mix of different styles from traditional blues rock to modern stoner styles that make these newcomers from Brussels rising stars.

Singer Marcella Di Troia and guitarist Pierre Lateur on “Burning Warriors”:
“We are pleased to announce the release of our new single “Burning Warriors”. This song is super dear to our hearts as it talks about one of the biggest native American slaughters, known as ‘The Wounded Knee Massacre’. By writing the song, we wanted to pay tribute to all indigenous people who, this very day, are still fighting to preserve their culture and tradition. They are a big influence for us personally in our daily lives.

Music-wise the idea was to write a kind of “mini stoner symphony” with a lot of different parts to avoid the usual verse-chorus structure. The end of the song is more instrumental and came to life by jamming on stage. This part is probably the heaviest moment of the entire album. We recorded multiple guitars for the end to make it sound really powerful. Marcella’s scream at the end resembles an echo of the chorus. We always end our live shows with this track as it ends with a big bang!”

Bad Wolves “Zombie” Certified PLATINUM By The RIAA

BAD WOLVES “ZOMBIE”CERTIFIED PLATINUM IN THE US

FIRST ROCK BAND TO REACH PLATINUM FOR A 2018 RELEASE

Bad Wolves have officially achieved platinum status for their intergenerational, global smash debut single, Zombie.” The RIAA certification marks a major milestone for the band, making them the sole rock band to obtain a platinum certification for a 2018 release. The plaque was presented to Bad Wolves by their co-manager, Zoltan Bathory, Eleven Seven Label Group CEO Allen Kovac, and promoters Larry and Fred Frank of Frank Productions/Live Nation prior to their set at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ.

Bad Wolves vocalist Tommy Vext states, “We are deeply humbled and overwhelmed by the continued success of our rendition of “Zombie”. For many artists reaching platinum status in and of itself is a dream come true. But the greater story here is YOU.” All the fans on every single continent – without your passion and enthusiasm none of this would be possible.”

He continued, “This year the global rock community came together to support our efforts to turn a tragic loss into something hopeful. This resounding effect with music fans around the world for the better part of a year now is a strong testament of Dolores’ timeless song writing and the message of the song being as relevant today as it’s ever been. We are truly grateful”

“Without getting too far into tree-hugger territory, I believe there is a pattern to the Universe and there is a pattern to success. When I put on my ‘manager hat’ – that’s what I’m looking for, and that’s what I saw in Bad Wolves,” the band’s co-manager and Five Finger Death Punch founder Zoltan Bathory adds, “You have to have the right personas, the right songs, the right sound, the right work ethic, and endless determination.”

“Zombie is a timeless song that has now had global success twice. From a tragedy, a wonderful outcome. Thank you, Dolores O’Riordan.” says Eleven Seven Label Group CEO Allen Kovac, who managed The Cranberries during the original release of “Zombie”.

Bad Wolves released “Zombie” earlier this year as a tribute to the late The Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan, who was set to record and reprise her iconic vocals on the track the day she tragically passed away. On June 19th, the band presented her kids with a $250,000 check, donating their proceeds from the massively successful and incredibly resonant track.

“Zombie” is not only a definitive moment for Bad Wolves — but it has also proven to be the breakout rock song (and story) of 2018.” The single has also previously reached platinum status in Canada and gold in Australia. To date, “Zombie’s official music video for the song has racked up over 165 million views via Facebook and YouTube. The track hit #1 on Spotify’s viral chart in over 40 countries countries, went to #1 on the iTunes overall songs chart and iTunes rock and metal charts, and reigned atop the US Rock radio chart for three straight weeks. The unprecedented success of “Zombie” lead to Bad Wolves’ debut album Disobey achieving the #22 spot on the Billboard Top 200, #2 on the Hard Rock Chart, #4 on Rock, and #8 on the Top Current Albums Chart.

Bad Wolves are currently on the road with Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin, and Nothing More as part of the biggest U.S. summer amphitheater rock tour of 2018. The band will continue to tour extensively throughout the end of the year, including a trek across Europe with Three Days Grace this Fall, joining Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin and From Ashes to New on their U.S. Fall arena tour, and an arena tour through Canada this winter with Three Days Grace and Nothing More.
