Watch Slash’s Live-Action, Animated Video For “Driving Rain”

SLASH FT. MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS

RELEASE NEW LIVE-ACTION, ANIMATED VIDEO FOR FIRST SINGLE“DRIVING RAIN”

NEW ALBUM ‘LIVING THE DREAM’ AVAILABLE NOW VIA SNAKEPIT/ROADRUNNER RECORDS HEREEXCLUSIVE BUNDLES HERE

SLASH and his band, SLASH FT MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS have released the new video for “Driving Rain”—which features a hilarious live-action, animated adventure with ragdoll puppets–the first single off their new album LIVING THE DREAM today, September 25.  Watch the official video for “Driving Rain” HERE.

LIVING THE DREAM is available now everywhere via SLASH’s own label, Snakepit Records, in partnership with Roadrunner Records. Purchase the songs digitally HERE and order Limited Edition merch bundles of the album HERE.

SLASH describes creating the fun clip here“The idea behind doing an animated video for ‘Driving Rain’ is mostly due to the dark subject matter of the song influencing directors to come up with very dramatic, dark and sullen regular live action treatments that weren’t any fun at all (no offense to those guys). So, I wanted to create something that could be tongue-in-cheek and yet still be dark with live-action animation. We’re all big fans of Stoopid Buddy and they came up with a great concept and treatment. We love the video and it came out fn’ brilliant. Fyi, no puppets were harmed during the making of this video.”

“Our whole team at Stoopid Buddy Stoodios was beyond excited to work with Slash, Myles, and those hard rocking Conspirators,” explains John Harvatine IV, Creative Director and Co-Founder. “We had a blast creating a dramatic heart-pounding music video with rag-doll-like rod puppets and adrenaline-filled RC Jeeps. From this moment forward, ‘Driving Rain’ is now the Citizen Kane of music videos!”

SLASH FT. MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS just launched their North American headlining tour and will visit 20 major cities before ending October 16 back in Los Angeles at theHollywood Palladium (dates below) tickets: HERE.

The first single “Driving Rain,” is Top 10 at Rock Radio this week, #9 and climbing . “Driving Rain” is now the band’s 6th consecutive Top 10 single at radio and SLASH’s fastest-rising single ever in his solo career yet. The band performed “Driving Rain”-which Rolling Stone described as delivering “bluesy riffs and solos throughout the blistering track” (7/25/18) and Revolver hailed as“smoldering” (7/25/18)–on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” HERE and “Mind Your Manners” HERE.

LIVING THE DREAM is the new full-length offering from the group which, in addition to SLASH andsinger MYLES KENNEDY, also includes bassist TODD KERNSdrummer BRENT FITZ and rhythm guitarist FRANK SIDORISSLASH and his band re-teamed with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Alter Bridge, Iggy Pop, Incubus) for their third album resulting in the band’s strongest collective statement to date following World on Fire and 2012’s Apocalyptic Love. From the barnstorming, high-octane riffery of opener “Call of the Wild” to the wah-drenched funk rock of “Read Between the Lines,” the haunting majesty of “Lost Inside the Girl” to the swaggering deep-in-the-pocket Seventies grooves of “Serve You Right,” to the stately, quasi-classical melodic themes of “The Great Pretender,” LIVING THE DREAM packs a compendium of sounds and styles into 12 tightly arranged and sharply executed tracks , all of it shot through with SLASH’s trademark electrifying and dynamic riffing and high-wire, lyrical solos.

Photos: STONE SOUR at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO 9/22/2018

It had been a long time since Stone Sour had come to St. Louis and they came in a big way; performing for a sold out USO show at The Pageant.  Playing a one off show before jumping back on No More Tours 2 with Ozzy Osbourne, Stone Sour performed to the enlisted and veterans of our military.  Corey Taylor said that he loved being back to a city who still has a heart for rock and roll.  The midwest has deep roots in it.

After addressing the crowd while wearing a formal St. Louis t-shirt, he addressed how guitarist Josh Rand had to sit through the performance.  The reason according to Corey was that Josh literally was saving puppies from a burning building and blew out his knee in the process.  When asked if they should cancel, Josh Rand said “No way.  We keep going.”  A true hero all around.

Stone Sour is currently promoting the deluxe edition of Hydrograd, which is available now.  You can find Stone Sour’s upcoming tour dates by visiting their Facebook page here: Stone Sour on Facebook.

Album Review: Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators – Living The Dream

An album review on Living The Dream, the third full album from Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators.

Saul Hudson (born July 23, 1965), better known by his stage name Slash, is an English-American musician and songwriter. He is best known as the lead guitarist of the American hard rock band Guns N’ Roses, with whom he achieved worldwide success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. During his later years with Guns N’ Roses, Slash formed the side project Slash’s Snakepit. After leaving Guns N’ Roses in 1996, he co-founded the supergroup Velvet Revolver, which re-established him as a mainstream performer in the mid to late 2000s. Slash has released three solo albums: Slash (2010), featuring an array of guest musicians, and Apocalyptic Love (2012) and World on Fire (2014), recorded with his band, Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. He returned to Guns N’ Roses in 2016.

Crown The Empire Drop New Video For “what I am”

CROWN THE EMPIRE RELEASE NEW SONG + VIDEO FOR “what i am”
BAND ON TOUR THIS FALL WITH UNDEROATH, DANCE GAVIN DANCE, + THE PLOT IN YOU

Crown the Empire have just shared another new video — this time it’s for the song “what i am.”

“‘what i am’ is the most important Crown the Empire song we have released yet,” said singer Andy Leo. “Throughout the past few years, I have been involved in some rough relationships with various people. I spent a lot of time writing the lyrics to this song because I was not having an easy time being so vulnerable and I HAD to get these words out for my own sanity. It’s hard for anyone to ask themselves, ‘Did I make the right decision here? Am I being selfish or am I finally focusing on myself to be a better and happier person?’ The answer was 100% ‘yes’ and I hope that this song will help anyone who feels the same way.”

Crown the Empire previously dropped the absolutely epic new song + video for “20/20.” Watch + listen here. These tracks mark the band’s first new music since the release of the 2016’s Retrograde.

Introducing Fight The Fury, New Project Launched By Skillet’s John Cooper

INTRODUCING FIGHT THE FURY
NEW METAL PROJECT LAUNCHED BY SKILLET’S JOHN COOPER
DEBUT EP TO BE RELEASED VIA ATLANTIC RECORDS

Fight The Fury is the new metal project from Skillet frontman and bassist John Cooper. The band, which also features Skillet guitarist Seth Morrison, along with drummer Jared Ward and guitarist John Panzer III, will release its debut EP via Atlantic Records later this year, with full details to be announced in the coming weeks. For more information, visit here.

Cooper commented on the genesis of Fight The Fury, explaining, “I am so pumped about the release of Fight The Fury! This is a side of me and my music that I don’t get to show very often. It takes me back to when I first heard metal and the reason I fell in love with music. It’s raw and unfiltered and emotional.”

Cooper continued, “Fight The Fury is for all of the fans out there who like the heavy side of Skillet, but want a super heavy album. I hope they feel the emotion of the songs that we have put together because this project is for them.”

While the Grammy-nominated Skillet have proven to be one of the most successful rock bands of the 21st century, having sold more than 12 million units worldwide, Cooper wanted to flex his creative muscles outside of his main outfit with Fight The Fury. The music crackles with a metallic, anthemic, and riff-driven intensity, along with unforgettable hooks. The songs that populate the band’s forthcoming EP will take up residence in your brain for days at a time.

Fight The Fury will embark on their first-ever tour in Russia this December — see attached itinerary. Details regarding future North American tour plans will be announced in the coming weeks.

“I am so thrilled to announce to Russian fans that Fight The Fury will be playing our first show ever, on our very first tour ever, in Russia,” Cooper enthused. “I’m happy about that because Russian fans are some of the very best in the world. I believe that Russia will embrace Fight The Fury and I look forward to performing! We will have many surprises for you!”
