ROYAL TUSK RELEASES “AFTERMATH” MUSIC VIDEO

ROYAL TUSK RELEASES “AFTERMATH” MUSIC VIDEO EXCLUSIVELY VIA BILLBOARD MAGAZINE

BAND TO SUPPORT POP EVIL IN CANADA THIS FALL

ALL NEW LP, TUSK II, DUE OUT OCTOBER 26, 2018

ROYAL TUSK have released a music video for their current single, “Aftermath” today exclusively via Billboard Magazine. Directed by Evan Dennis, this is the first music video the band has released off their upcoming album due out later this month.

“‘Aftermath‘ was inspired by the idea that our culture (especially youth culture) is being desensitized to violence through an overload of media and information,” says vocalist Daniel Carriere. “While wrestling with ideas of isolation, violence, tragedy, and authoritarianism, ‘Aftermath’ asks what we may see looking back when this ever-volatile present has become a distant memory.”

ROYAL TUSK will soon hit the road with new label-mates POP EVIL throughout Canada this fall. The tour kicks off on November 17 at Lee’s Place in Toronto. Dates will hit both coasts before wrapping up in Saskatoon on December 3.

ROYAL TUSK will release their eOne debut TUSK II on October 26, 2018. All pre-orders are available now. Fans who pre-order the LP on iTunes will get “Aftermath” as an iTunes instant grat track. “Aftermath” is also available on all streaming platforms.

Blue-collar troubadours from the Great White North, ROYAL TUSK are steadfast champions of the majesty of kickass riffs, meaty hooks, a thick bottom end, and loud guitars. The four-piece band born in Edmonton, Albertamount a high-octane assault on the lazy security-blanket, self-aware irony of hipsters and the disingenuous commercial pandering of rock poseurs alike.

This is music with meaning, sometimes even a message, that’s always built around a powerful vibe and uncompromising passion. Royal Tusk is a deeply soulful celebration, brimming with working-class optimism and tempered by renegade realism. On their sophomore-slump-smashing TUSK II, the group summons the effortless energy of an era of rock music when bands weren’t content to merely reverse-engineer hit-making formulas to move units.

Royal Tusk is a band with more in common with Deep Purple and Aerosmith than anything on commercial radio. TUSK II arrives on the heels of their well-received debut, DealBreaker (2016), and their first EP, Mountain (2014).

Trailblazers like Soundgarden, Mudhoney, and Pearl Jam defined success on their own terms, putting artistry and authenticity first. Royal Tusk follows in that fine tradition, reveling in unbridled creativity that is provocative, nuanced, and captivating. The laidback charisma of stoner groove, the polished melodicism of classic and progressive rock, and the energy of punk all collide within Royal Tusk, earning them a steadily building buzz as big as their riffs.

The latest release is the follow up to their highly successful 2016 album “XI”, which saw the return of legendary frontman Mike HoweDamned If You Do is a cross between the band’s iconic Blessing In Disguise and The Human Factor. This new offering features ten fully-charged, classic-metal influenced songs that showcase the sound that has garnered the band a solid fanbase for over 3 decades.

Kurdt Vanderhoof comments, “I feel this album is a very powerful statement to what Metal Church has always been about. A tough and aggressive old school metal album while maintaining a level of musicality and melodic sensibilities”.

Damned If You Do also features new drummer Stet Howland (ex WASP / Lita Ford). Stet first arrived after the departure of long-time drummer Jeff Plate, but soon after joining the band was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Miraculously his treatments for the aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma worked and he was able to begin recording the new album.

Speaking of the new album Stet Howland comments, “From the minute we started tracking this new CD, I had the feeling that it was going to be something special. I knew that I was going to do my best to deliver a top drum performance, not only because of the high standard set by past Metal Church drummers, but also because this is my first CD release after being sick. I’m beyond happy with all aspects of this CD, great songs, great performances, great production, just an overall great CD! I love it!”

The songs are powerful, precise, and Metal Church’s musical vision is unified. From the haunting opener “Damned If You Do” to the final hard-edged track “The War Electric,” this new album is sure to resonate with fans from the band’s early years while garnering new ones. Enter Shikari Reveal ‘CONTENT 2.0’ Documentary

Today, huge British band Enter Shikari have revealed ‘Content 2.0’, a 1 hour+ documentary movie and track-by-track breakdown of their fifth critically-acclaimed, award-winning, UK Chart Top 5 album The Spark.

‘Content 2.0’ is an in-depth exploration of the record, charting the path from early demos to full-blown album recordings of many of the key tracks on the album, featuring interviews with band members, candid in-the-studio footage shot during the recording of the album, and never-before seen live footage taken on tour following The Spark release.

‘Content 2.0’ was shot over a twelve month period, and then pieced together in a fevered, sleepless burst of editing genius by the band videographer / photographer. Tom Pullen, for the first anniversary of the album’s release.

Frontman Rou Reynolds says:

“Normally, you’d release one of these track-by-track things in order to bolster the marketing around the release of an album (we don’t knowingly title these recent releases “Content” by accident) but with the nature of The Spark’s lyrical content and what could be construed, by the casual listener, as the “departure from the normal Enter Shikari sound” (whatever that is), we wanted people to be comfortable with their own interpretations and perspectives of what the album is before we started crushing their dreams with our insights and expositions into the arcane technical aspects of the recording. We hope there’s something in the documentary for rabid fan and passing-interest viewer alike. Mr Pullen has excelled himself in putting it together”.

As part of the one year anniversary of The Spark, Enter Shikari also released a new remix of the first single ‘Live Outside’, mixed by their own alter-ego project the Shikari Sound System. The track is available via all download and streaming services worldwide: http://smarturl.it/LiveOutsideRemix The remix was accompanied with a vertically formatted remix of the original video, reimagined by the band’s longtime Ukranian visual collaborator Oleg Rooz.

In addition was the announcement of new book The Spark – Lyrics & Exegesis of Rou Reynolds, a companion paperback book to 2017’s Dear Future Historians hardback (now out of print, and still in high demand), which compiles lyrics and essays relating to the band’s past decade of releases, including the first four albums and stand-alone singles. The limited edition book is published by Faber Music and available from all good bookstores from November 26, or by pre-order now from Enter Shikari’s store: https://www.entershikari.com/store

Enter Shikari are on tour in the UK, Europe and Russia from Dec 2018 through to mid-April 2019. This week they announced Toronto, Canada’s Palaye Royale main support for the 2019 UK dates (Milk Teeth have previously been announced as the main support for the UK / Scandinavia 2018 run of touring), with plans to announce the European main support and all openers soon.

Jonathan Davis ‘The Black Labyrinth’ Tour To Kick Off This Weekend

Jonathan Davis ‘The Black Labyrinth’ Tour To Kick Off This Weekend

20 Date Headline Tour To Play 20 Dates Across The USA Starting on 10/6 in El Paso

Support From The Birthday Massacre And Julien-K

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osLa8Eg40cU&feature=youtu.be

Singer, songwriter, composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, Korn frontman and one of the most inimitable voices in music, Jonathan Davis is set to hit the road for his ‘The Black Labyrinth Tour’ this Saturday (10/6). The 20 date tour kicks off in El Paso, TX at the El Paso Downtown Street Festival and will continue across the country, playing 19 further dates with special guests The Birthday Massacre and Julien-K. Tickets and VIP packages are available from jonathandavis.com

The tour comes in support of Jonathan’s critically acclaimed solo album ‘Black Labyrinth’ released earlier this year viaSumerian Records. Speaking on his solo offering, Jonathan says:

“This time, I’m pulling something out of the audience. I’ve bared my soul for so fucking long I thought it’d be really cool to pull listeners in a different direction for once. I’m taking them out of that dark place and into somewhere that’s spiritual, positive, and makes them really think! It’s just art. I’ve changed lives with Korn, but I wanted to open minds with this shit.”

The lead single from the album – ‘What It Is’ – peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Charts earlier this year and has garnered 3.1 million streams on Spotify and 6.6 million views on YouTube. Digging deeper into the track’s meaning, Jonathan says

“No matter how hard you try to fight bad things in your life, life will be what it is. It’s up to you to accept that, combat it, and move forward, or it’s up to you to be in denial. Then, it becomes a thorn in your side until you finally deal with it. This is it. Just deal with it.”

The making of each track on the album was documented with a YouTube mini-series ‘Though The Black Labyrinth’ where Jonathan talks through the process behind each song on the album – how they were written, recorded and the meaning behind them.

The music of ‘Black Labyrinth’ represents a natural step for Jonathan. A true original, the overpowering figure he casts behind that H.R. Giger-made microphone remains just as iconic as his signature scream does. His output in Korn encompasses two GRAMMY® Award winsworldwide sales of 40 million-plus, and countless sold out shows in nearly every corner of the globe. Throughout over 20 years in music, his presence coursed through film scores to popular video game franchises, and official remixes for the likes of Steve Aoki and more. Along the way, he lent his voice to tracks for everyone from Linkin Park to Tech N9ne.

Jonathan Davis is one of rock’s most iconic and prevalent frontmen and one of modern music’s true geniuses. The Black Labyrinth Tour provides fans the opportunity to watch him bring these complex, thrilling and emotive tracks to life. You definitely don’t want to miss this one.

Amaranthe Release New Song & Music Video For “Countdown” From Upcoming Album Helix

MELODIC METAL TRAILBLAZERS AMARANTHE RELEASE “COUNTDOWN” SINGLE + VIDEO
NEW STUDIO ALBUM HELIX OUT OCTOBER 19 VIA SPINEFARM RECORDS

With their electrifying fifth album HELIX due out October 19 through Spinefarm Records and armed with new singer Nils Molin, the almighty Amaranthe are taking another leap forward in their sonic evolution.

The band has dropped the video for the new single “Countdown.”

Watch the video, directed by longtime collaborator Patric Ullaeus, here.

“As the days and weeks are getting closer to the release of HELIX, what better way to illustrate our excitement and veritable impatience than by releasing our second single titled ‘Countdown’?,” asked Amaranthe guitarist and composer Olof Mörck. “Drawing upon a darker theme and subject matter than your typical Amaranthe song, the sonic landscape itself forms a perfect counterpoint to this more serious side of the band. The contrasts have perhaps never been stronger, the ambitions never higher, and confidence never more solid — Amaranthe in 2018 in its purest, most distilled form is ‘Countdown.'”

Four albums into their career, Amaranthe have racked up north of 118 million YouTube views and half-a-billion song streams, have landed at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart three times, and possess a panoply of gold and platinum discs for albums and singles alike.

HELIX proves the band has refined its melodic sensibilities ever further while retaining a cutting-edge metal assault. The video and single for “Countdown” once again showcase the band’s unique musical sound and vision.

Fans can stream and download “Countdown” here.

Elize Ryd — Vocals
Henrik Englund Wilhelmsson — Screams
Nils Molin — Vocals
Olof Mörck — Guitar, Keys

All That Remains Announce New Album “Victim of the New Disease,” Drop New Song “F**k Love”

ALL THAT REMAINS ANNOUNCE VICTIM OF THE NEW DISEASE
NEW ALBUM ARRIVES ON NOVEMBER 9 VIA FEARLESS RECORDS

Clinging to airtight songcraft, knifepoint precise metallic instrumentation, and stadium-size hard rock hooks, All That Remains are cutting right to the chase on their ninth full-length album Victim of the New Disease.  The album arrives on November 9 via Fearless Records.

The quintet— Philip Labonte [lead vocals], Oli Herbert [lead guitar], Mike Martin [rhythm guitar], Jason Costa [drums], and Aaron Patrick [bass, backing vocals]— has shared the punishing and patently pummeling new track “Fuck Love.”  Listen here.

The song leaked a week ahead of schedule, with critical gate keepers like MetalSucks enthusing that the track is “easily the heaviest thing they’ve released in years (maybe ever??)” and Loudwire proclaiming that it’s a “straight-forward brutalizer centered around a beefy pendular rhythm, making it an instant pit-starter when it eventually sees the stage.”

Labonte offered this insight into the album, saying, “We decided to throw a curveball… and do the heaviest record since For We Are Many in 2010! It was the perfect way to follow-up Madness, where we did some different styles and songs and even covered a country song. People might’ve expected something more experimental, but throwing curveballs is what we do.”

Victim of the New Disease is available for pre-order here.

VICTIM OF THE NEW DISEASE TRACK LISTING:
1. “Fuck Love”
2. “Everything’s Wrong”
3. “Blood I Spill”
4. “Wasteland”

ABOUT ALL THAT REMAINS:
Since their formation in Massachusetts during 1998, All That Remains have built an undeniable legacy upheld by airtight songcraft, knifepoint precise metallic instrumentation, and stadium-size hard rock hooks. As a result, they’ve outlasted trials, tribulations, and trends to stand tall as as one of this century’s most consistent purveyors of heavy music with a bulletproof canon of arena-worthy anthems. All That Remains’ discography is highlighted by success at Active Rock including radio hits in the top 10 such as “Two Weeks,” “What If I Was Nothing,” and their first number one “Stand Up.”

The band averages 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify (an unprecedented feat for a metal band in any era), while cumulative sales eclipse 1 million albums worldwide. Not to mention, they’ve earned five consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart and four in the Top 5. Most recently, 2017’sMadness spawned the smash cover of Garth Brooks’ “The Thunder Rolls,” which trended on VEVO and generated 21 million plus total views and 8 million Spotify streams in under a year’s time. In addition to packing houses as a headliner, they’ve practically burned down the festival stages everywhere from Rock on the Range to Welcome to Rockville.

Shaman’s Harvest opened up a special USO show in their homestate of Missouri this past weekend to a sell out crowd.  The band has been touring this fall promoting their latest album Red Hands Black Deeds from last year.  It was good to see the Jefferson City boys live again as this is a band with a raw sound and that continuously work hard.

Fight The Fury to Release “Still Breathing” EP on October 26 via Atlantic, Drop New Song “My Demons”

FIGHT THE FURY TO RELEASE DEBUT EP STILL BREATHING THROUGH ATLANTIC RECORDS ON OCTOBER 26
LISTEN TO NEW SONG “MY DEMONS”
BAND IS THE NEW METAL PROJECT LAUNCHED BY SKILLET’S JOHN COOPER
GROUP TO TOUR RUSSIA + MORE IN DECEMBER

Fight The Fury, the newly announced and eagerly awaited metal project fromSkillet frontman and bassist John Cooper, have shared more details about their upcoming debut EP.

Still Breathing will be released on October 26 via Atlantic Records. To herald the release, the band has shared the new song “My Demons.” Listen here.

The song is available as an instant grat track for all fans who pre-order the album. The pre-order is live here.

The band also features Skillet guitarist Seth Morrison, along with drummer Jared Ward, and guitarist John Panzer III.

“‘My Demons’ is the first song that I wrote for the project about five years ago when I first had the idea to start Fight the Fury,” Cooper shared, offering some insight into the track. “It’s a good first taste for fans because it’s got all of the ingredients of the band: aggression, melody, screaming, angst, a touch of progressive rock, and frenzied chaos. It touches on some dark themes that can be related in general to most people’s individual struggles in life.”

He finished, “However, I wrote it specifically for those who have been victims of abuse. Some scars run so deep that we never fully heal. My hope is that through the lyrics, people will vent their anger and see that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.”

Cooper previously commented on the genesis of Fight The Fury, explaining, “I am so pumped about the release of Fight The Fury! This is a side of me and my music that I don’t get to show very often. It takes me back to when I first heard metal and the reason I fell in love with music. It’s raw and unfiltered and emotional.”

Cooper continued, “Fight The Fury is for all of the fans out there who like the heavy side of Skillet, but want a super heavy album. I hope they feel the emotion of the songs that we have put together because this project is for them.”

While the Grammy-nominated Skillet have proven to be one of the most successful rock bands of the 21st century, having sold more than 12 million units worldwide, Cooper wanted to flex his creative muscles outside of his main outfit with Fight The Fury. The music crackles with a metallic, anthemic, and riff-driven intensity, along with unforgettable hooks. The songs that populate Still Breathing will take up residence in your brain for days at a time.

Fight The Fury will embark on their first-ever tour in Russia this December — see attached itinerary. Details regarding future North American tour plans will be announced in the coming weeks.
