Photos: HALESTORM at Stifel Theatre in St. Louis, MO 11/29/2018

After seeing the sights in the gateway to the west on November 29th, Halestorm arrived to Stifel Theatre in downtown St. Louis and made sure that everyone who was in attendance knew rock wasn’t dead.  It was a night featuring three strong performances from female voiced bands and it was memorable for having such a strong hard rock concert in the gorgeous theater.

Now with Vicious out worldwide, it feels that Lzzy and company are determined to prove that they can hang with any big name in rock.  Seeing Lzzy perform at WWE’s Evolution and NXT Takeover as well as seeing Halestorm perform at the big festivals in 2018 earlier this year, there is more than enough proof that the name Halestorm has attention even outside the rock scene.

I’m hoping for the best for Halestorm because they can bring that positive attention to the rock world and then everyone wins.  Along with constant radio play and long tours, the band is doing everything right to push forward.

Halestorm is continuing their tour with In This Moment and New Year’s Day for the next few weeks and have been announced for Sonic Temple festival in Ohio next year.  You can find upcoming tour dates on Halestorm’s Facebook page here: Halestorm on Facebook

If more bands put as much effort into their stage production and performance as they do their music, the rock scene would be on a much higher level.

In This Moment is a band that has proven over the years that rock isn’t just about studio sessions.  Whether it’s crafting their own set designs in parking lots while on tour or bringing in dancers and big lighting effects to help with the show, this is a band that has earned their attention.

Seeing the band on stage at Stifel Theatre along with New Year’s Day and Halestorm was a unique experience.  It’s rare that big rock shows get to come to the exquisite theater.  Even more rare is when the night features bands all voiced by female singers.  One of the highlights of this set being Ash Costello of New Year’s Day joining In This Moment to perform “Black Wedding”.

In This Moment is promoting their latest album Ritual which came out last year.  Here’s hoping we will get to hear new music from the band soon.  You can find more info and upcoming tour dates on their Facebook page here: In This Moment on Facebook

Three-Day Immersive Event Promises To Bring
“The Epicenter Of Rock N’ Roll To North Carolina”
With Must-See Music Performances And Expanded Camping Options
Massive Music Lineup To Be Announced Monday, December 10 At 9:00 AM ET

Epicenter Festival–a new 3-day destination music experience from premier independent U.S. music festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents–will debut in the heart of the Mid-Atlantic region, at the newly created Rockingham Festival Grounds in Richmond County, North Carolina on Friday, May 10, Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12, 2019.

Epicenter Festival replaces Carolina Rebellion, which was held in North Carolina from 2011 – 2018. With a move to the new venue, Epicenter Festival offers an enhanced festival experience. The new festival grounds will be developed in coordination with Rockingham Dragway and Rockingham Speedway, with even more music, extensive camping options, and no curfew.

Festival producer Danny Wimmer explains, “We are very proud of what Carolina Rebellion represented, so we understand that our decision to replace it was confusing to people. It took more time than we had hoped to make the final decision and then work out all of the details. Ultimately, we felt that there was so much more that we could accomplish in the right circumstances. The creation of the ‘Epicenter of rock n’ roll’ in the heart of North Carolina gives us the ability to expand on the festival experience with enhanced camping amenities, nighttime entertainment with no curfew, and expanded food and beverage offerings, all highlighted by a massive music lineup covering the spectrum of rock, metal and alternative rock music. There’s always a next level to strive for – and after 8 great years of Carolina Rebellion, Epicenter is that next level.”

Danny Wimmer Presents CEO Danny Hayes adds, “In a project being led by the new owners of the Rockingham Speedway (the Rock), together with Richmond County, Rockingham Dragway and the other local land owners, we are working to develop a first class destination festival site. We are grateful to the Rock’s Dan Lovenheim and Richmond County Manager Bryan Land for spearheading this move and look forward to unveiling the lineup. Trust me, it’s worth the wait.”

The music lineup for Epicenter and further details will be revealed on Monday, December 10 at 9:00 AM Eastern Time.

General Admission, VIP tickets, and hotel and camping packages for Epicenter Festival go on sale Friday, December 14 at Noon ET.

Rockingham Festival Grounds are located at 2153 North U.S. Highway 1, Rockingham, NC, less than two hours from Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham, Columbia and Greensboro.

Hatebreed Announce 25th Anniversary Tour For Spring 2019

HATEBREED ANNOUNCE 25TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR WITH
OBITUARY, CRO-MAGS, TERROR + FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY

FIRST LEGS TO KICK OFF IN APRIL 2019

Hatebreed remain one of the most relevant and impactful acts in the hard rock and metal scenes. The Connecticut band will celebrate 25 years of ruthless breakdowns, pit-stirring anthems, and poignant lyrics across eight albums and consistently sold-out shows in 2019. The band, which has gone from playing basements and backyards to being a featured worldwide attraction on countless festivals and high-profile tours from OZZFest to Warped Tour to Download, will commemorate two-plus decades by embarking on a 25th anniversary tour.

The first leg of the tour will feature support from Obituary and Cro-Mags, two bands that Hatebreed have covered in their career and who have influenced the signature and instantly recognizable Hatebreed sound. Terror and Fit for an Autopsy will round out this “can’t miss” juggernaut of a lineup. The initial trek will kick off in Philadelphia in April, with an additional leg to be announced shortly. All confirmed dates are below.

“I can’t believe it’s been 25 years already,” said Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta. “We’re excited to bring out this massive tour package with some of our favorite bands. Every band on this bill is a headliner in their own right. The show will be run festival-style with bands you don’t want to miss playing early. Activate the pit!”

“Looking forward to this one — 25 years of Hatebreed, celebrated with not only friends, but a couple bands who influenced us so much that we covered their songs on For the Lions. Come celebrate the entire catalog with us!,” said Hatebreed guitarist Frank Novinec.

“All killer, no filler here,” said Hatebreed drummer Matt Byrne. “This April will be a sick tour for Hatebreed. Celebrating 25 years is a big accomplishment for any band. But it’s that much sweeter when you’re doing it with some of your favorite bands in tow. We love Obituary so much that we covered them on our For the Lions record. We love Cro-Mags so much that we covered them on our For the Lions record. We love Terror and Fit For An Autopsy so much that… 😉 See you all in April!”

“We are excited to be invited to Hatebreed’s 25th anniversary U.S. tour and super honored to be a part such an awesome lineup,” stated Obituary drummer Donald Tardy. “Looking forward to throwing down each night with them and bringing some of our southern swamp metal to this tour. Gonna be sick!”

“Hatebreed’s 25th anniversary tour is gonna be a banger — the Cro-Mags are psyched as f*ck to be part of it,” proclaimed frontman John Joseph.

“The lineup for this tour is insane,” said Terror frontman Scott Vogel, echoing all of those sentiments. “We are very much looking forward to being on this run with some of our favorite bands.”

The band is giving fans an early preview of the eagerly-awaited new album with a video for “I Dream In Lines”.

These songs hold a special place in our hearts and we hope that others can find the same solace in them that we have.”

Astronoid’s debut full-length, AIR, was one of the most talked about, and unexpected, releases of 2016. Consequence of Sound, in their year-end best of coverage, said the band “have taken post-metal to stratospheric new heights.” Noisey said AIR is “the happiest dream thrash record you’ll ever hear” while numerous outlets including LoudwireStereogumMetal Injection, and Invisible Oranges, championed the young Northeastern four-piece by placing the album on their year-end best-of lists. MetalSucks declared the nine-song album “an instant classic.” In the months that followed, the band joined Tesseract, Periphery, Animals As Leaders, Ghost, and Zeal & Ardor for multiple North American tours.
