Keyboardist Janne Björkroth comments on the track, “The song tells a story about living up to other people’s expectations and becoming a kind of a sidekick in one’s own life. Hollywood conventions and media set unrealistic expectations and narrow ideals about such things as beauty and happiness, and it’s easy to get lost while trying to fit the mould. The song claims that there isn’t a universal pattern for happiness, but everyone has a right to be respected as they are and live a life that suits for themselves. It’s a hymn to individuality.”

Greek metal trailblazers ROTTING CHRIST have unveiled a video for the new song “The Raven,” which is the third single from their highly-anticipated forthcoming release, ‘The Heretics.’ The track, which is certain to thrill you and fill you “with fantastic terrors never felt before,” can be found HERE.

ROTTING CHRIST were founded by Sakis Tolis and his brother Themis in the year 1987. Starting out on a basis of death and grind, the Greeks had already embarked on a darker musical journey by the time their debut full-length ‘Thy Mighty Contract’ (1993) was revealed. On the following seven albums covering a ten-year period from ‘Non Serviam’ (1994) to ‘Sanctus Diavolos’ (2004),ROTTING CHRIST steadily defined their own distinct style by experimenting with elements from death, heavy, and gothic metal without betraying their black roots. At the same time, the band went from underground heroes to headliner status. With the highly acclaimed ninth album, ‘Theogonia’ (2007), the Greek stalwarts added an unmistakable native element to their sound, which has remained with them as a signature trademark ever since.

Exploring the mythical legacy of cultures around the globe lead to ROTTING CHRIST‘s massively successful latest release, ‘Rituals’ (2016). Royal Tusk Release “Reflection” Video, Announce EU Dates with Monster Truck

ROYAL TUSK have released a new music video for their track “Reflection” today. Directed by Keenan Kirk, this is the second music video we’ve seen from the band from their latest LP, TUSK II.

“The video for Reflection was a blast to make,” says the band. “We wanted to show the pure rawness that is a Royal Tusk live show, no bells or whistles. We avoided the usual quick edits and stylized after-effects you often see in performance videos by constructing a practical effect which was really challenging to pull off.” 

“Without giving too much away, We only had one chance to shoot it, so what you get is an inspired, genuine, and raw performance, flaws and all. Just like a live rock show should be. What better time to drop it as we set out for our first American tour. Give it a spin, then come see it for yourself.”

ROYAL TUSK has also announced a new batch of European tour dates in support of Monster Truck. “Since the release of ‘Tusk II,’ we’ve been shown nothing but love and support from our European fans,” says bassist Sandy MacKinnon. “Y’all have raised the bar high, so now it’s time for us to bring it. We couldn’t be more excited to be alongside our rock n roll brethren, Monster Truck. One thing is for sure, this tour is going to rock, rock real hard!”

Dates kick off on April 18 in Bristol, UK and continue on to the Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, Austria, Denmark, Norway and finally culminate on May 23 in Stockholm, Sweden. This is the first time the band will embark on a full-fledged European tour.

Royal Tusk is about to embark on a batch of U.S. tour dates on the first ever SiriusXM “Accelerator Tour.” The band will be supporting New Zealand rock band LIKE A STORMalongside AFTERLIFE. Dates kick off on January 23 in Anaheim, CA and stretch coast to coast before wrapping up in Beaver Dam on February 23.

Finally, Royal Tusk has confirmed their participation in the 2019 Rock USA Festival taking place on July 18, 19, 20, 2019 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Tickets are on sale now, click here for more info.

ROYAL TUSK recently released a music video for their current single, “Aftermath” exclusively via Billboard Magazine. Directed by Evan Dennis, this is the first music video the band has released off their LP that came out on October 26, 2018.

“‘Aftermath‘ was inspired by the idea that our culture (especially youth culture) is being desensitized to violence through an overload of media and information,” says vocalist Daniel Carriere. “While wrestling with ideas of isolation, violence, tragedy, and authoritarianism, ‘Aftermath’ asks what we may see looking back when this ever-volatile present has become a distant memory.”

ROYAL TUSK released their eOne debut TUSK II on October 26, 2018, to some high critical praise. Loudwire said that “In an era overlong albums, it’s refreshing to hear a band dive in, kick some ass and leave the listener wanting more.” Beatroute Magazine called Tusk II “an impressive new album that promises to shake us out of conformity with a potent dose of authentic rock music.”

Progressive death metal masters Beyond Creation have partnered up with Metal Injection to release the official live music video for the song, “In Adversity!” The track is taken from their latest effort, Algorythm, which is out NOW via Season of Mist.

Feel the onrush of sweeping arpeggios, crushing waves of fretless bass, complex rhythmical patterns and erupting scales peppered with jazzy feeling and masterful execution under the mark of ‘Algorythm,’ which names the third full-length of BEYOND CREATION. 

The French part of Canada is home to a vibrant culture of technical Death Metal fostered by outstanding acts such as GORGUTS, CRYPTOPSY, MARTYR, and NEURAXIS. This illustrious family tree has produced many sprouts in the past, yet none of them are as brilliant as Quebec’s amazing scion: BEYOND CREATION!

BEYOND CREATION saw the light of day in 2005 in Montreal, Canada but it wasn’t until 2010 that the band was ready to hit the stage with their original line-up consisting of Simon Girard, Kevin Chatré, Guyot Bégin-Benoît and Dominic ‘Forest’ Lapointe. A year later, the band self-released their debut full-length album ‘The Aura’ (2011), which quickly became a highlight in the genre. Since then, BEYOND CREATION has been known as the progressive, innovative and exciting new metal sound of their homeland, Quebec.

In late 2012, the band had Philippe Boucher (Ex-FIRST FRAGMENT, INCADESCENSE, CHTHE’ILIST, DÉCOMBRES) take Guyot’s place on drums and things started moving at a faster pace in 2013, when they joined Season of Mist, re-releasing ‘The Aura’ and touring North America and Japan. In 2014,BEYOND CREATION released their second masterpiece ‘Earthborn Evolution‘.

After the addition of Hugo Doyon-Karout (BROUGHT BY PAIN, EQUIPOISE, CONFLUX) on bass, the band focused on touring as much as possible on the ‘Earthborn Evolution’ album cycle compiling 3 North American tours, 3 European tours, countless shows in Canada, appearances in Mexico, Colombia and Dubaï, sharing the stage with heavy weights like ARCH ENEMY, HATE ETERNAL, MISERY INDEX, DYING FETUS, PSYCROPTIC and OBSCURA. They also took part in multiple large-scale music festivals such as Hellfest (FR), 70 000 Tons of Metal (US), UK Tech-Fest, Montebello Rockfest (CA), Heavy MTL (CA) and Damnation Fest (UK).

In 2018, BEYOND CREATION recorded their highly-anticipated third album ‘Algorythm’ at The Grid Studio in home land Canada, which is set for release on October 12th, 2018. With the new album, BEYOND CREATION delivers a ferocious blend of technicality, melody, and brutality aided by fang-filled growls, which is interwoven with beautiful progressive interludes. “We had fun making the video with some of our good friends from our hometown acting out the main parts. We felt like the father-son dynamic in the video really reflected the song’s theme. The song is sort of autobiographical. It’s about the experience of growing up in a small town and always talking about ‘getting out’ one day. No matter where or how far you go, though, you always have a little bit of where you came from that you take with you.” – Matt James

A hard-driving Southern rock unit based out of Palestine, Texas, Blacktop Mojo’s fiery blend of post-grunge, classic rock, and metal falls somewhere between Soundgarden, Black Stone Cherry, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Founded in 2012 by frontman Matt James and drummer Nathan Gillis, the band eventually morphed into a five-piece with the additions of bass player Matt Curtis and guitarists Ryan Kieferand Chuck Wepfer. They released their debut album, I Am, in 2014, followed by a heavy bout of touring that saw the group sharing the stage with a wide array of heavy hitters, including Bon Jovi, Sammy Hagar, Candlebox, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Black Stone Cherry, Shaman’s Harvest, Pop Evil, Puddle of Mudd, Drowning Pool and many others.

In 2017, the band teamed up with Muscle Shoals producer Jimmy Johnson for their highly anticipated sophomore outing Burn the Ships. The album was released via the band’s label, Cuhmon Records, in March of that year to critical acclaim. The record yielded two Top 40 hits on the Billboard Active Rock charts, with singles, “Where The Wind Blows” (#27) and the band’s cover of Aerosmith classic, “Dream On” (#31)

Throughout the rest of 2017 and 2018, the band toured heavily around North America in support of their record, getting added to major rock festival bills such as River City Rockfest, Louder Than Life, Rock Allegiance, The 25th annual Rockfest, Shiprocked, and many more. The band continues to all live together in “The Mojo Mansion” in Palestine, writing songs, recording and preparing for their 3rd full-length studio album entitled “Under The Sun” for release in 2019.

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have announced the release of their third album, End Of Suffering, on May 3 via International Death Cult.

News of the release arrives with the debut of a video for new single “Crowbar” (https://fcatr.lnk.to/EndOfSufferingPR) as well as the announcement of an intimate UK and European tour (dates below). North American tour dates will be announced soon.

Recorded in just six months over the heatwave that engulfed London last year, End Of Suffering – named after the Buddhist term for enlightenment – is the sound of a band entering an entirely new realm of the senses, a 40-minute rock’n’rollercoaster of molten-hot bangers, scorched-soul ballads and grunge lullabies laced through with a lacerating lyrical honesty.

With Cam Blackwood (George Ezra/Jack Savoretti) at the helm and legendary mixer Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails/Queens Of The Stone Age) sprinkling sonic stardust, the resultant album sees Carter, co-songwriter and guitar player Dean Richardson and co. not so much spreading their wings as running and leaping headfirst into heretofore uncharted waters. Opener “Why A Butterfly Can’t Love A Spider” finds Frank at full stretch, singing: “When I’m high I’m in heaven/When I’m low I’m in hell,” while the first single “Crowbar” is tauter than a highwire and relentlessly sharpened to a razor’s edge, a sonic Molotov cocktail of a track delivered with the anarchic zel of the gilets-jaunes rioters. “I saw an amazing bit of graffiti during the Paris riots which said: ‘We’ve cut off heads for less than this,” enthuses Frank. “I loved that attitude. People are sick of being force fed doom and gloom.” It also comes complete with a video directed by longtime collaborator Ross Cairns (Biffy Clyro/Queens Of The Stone Age) and acts as a blistering clarion call to arms.

When the fury is dialed down, however, even more startling shades start to surface. “Anxiety” is a paranoiac festival anthem in waiting, while “Love Games” is an absolute beauty; a distortion-heavy nod to Amy Winehouse’s finest moments. “Angel Wings” is as bleakly poetic as Charles Bukowski.

The album also features Tom Morello as a guest guitarist on “Tyrant Lizard King.” The two re-connected after many years at Resurrection Festival in Spain last summer, where Frank infamously sang the Rage classic “Killing In The Name” to a 40,000 strong crowd.

Indeed. In an age of say-nothing pop and codified corporate rock, End Of Suffering does what all great music should: lift the spirits and stir the soul.

Premier independent U.S. music festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents proudly announces the lineup for the SiriusXM Comedy & Spoken Word Tent at the first-ever Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival, Friday, May 17, Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, 2019 at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

In addition to headliners including standup comedian and actor Andrew Dice Clay (most recently appearing in A Star Is Born), spoken word artist and former Rollins Band / Black Flag frontmanHenry Rollins, and comic Pauly Shore (Encino Man), the lineup includes special appearances from guitarist and activist Tom Morello, Pussy Riot member Nadya, and Eleanor Kerrigan (Dice,Women Of Wrestling). The SiriusXM Comedy & Spoken Word Tent will also feature sets fromMark Normand, Shapel Lacey, Carmen Lynch, Craig Gass, Bill Squire, Joe Deuce, Adrian Cosby and more to be announced soon.

The previously announced music lineup also offers one of America’s most diverse festival offerings this spring. Headlined by multiplatinum artists Foo Fighters, System Of A Down andDisturbed, Sonic Temple will also feature performances from Bring Me The Horizon, The Prodigy, Ghost, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Chevelle, Joan Jett And The Blackhearts, The Cult, and many other chart-topping and up-and-coming music artists on three music stages. Rocklahoma is set to take place on Friday, May 24, Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26, 2019 at “Catch The Fever” Festival Grounds in Pryor, Oklahoma, just outside Tulsa. Now in its 13th year, America’s Biggest Memorial Day Weekend Party will feature performances from some of today’s top rock artists, including: Ozzy Osbourne, Disturbed, Shinedown, Bush, Seether, In This Moment, Steel Panther, Jackyl, Asking Alexandria, and many more.

Produced by AEG Presents, the three-day camping festival features the best new rock artists and classic bands performing on three stages, to keep the music going all night long. With onsite camping amenities and unparalleled VIP packages, Rocklahoma lives up to its motto of  “Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Rock.”

Early bird weekend Festival Passes, as well as weekend VIP Packages, will be available for purchase starting on Thursday, January 17 at 10:00 AM CT at www.Rocklahoma.com. Early bird pricing will last through Thursday, January 24 at 12:00 PM CT, when prices will increase. A Payment Plan option will be available which allows purchasers to split the cost into four monthly payments. Fans are encouraged to buy early and save.

The campgrounds are a unique part of the Rocklahoma experience, with an endless party running around the clock. The Rocklahoma campgrounds will be open from Sunday, May 19 at Noon CT through Tuesday, May 28 at Noon CT. Festival doors open at 2:00 PM daily on May 24, 25 and 26. Note: Camping is only available with weekend ticket purchases.

The Roadhouse will feature the D&B Processing Stage where fans can rock out with local Oklahoma favorites, top tribute acts, and will be headlined each day with national legends like Lita Ford and Ace Frehley. The Roadhouse will also feature food trucks, a full-service bar, and a great place to hang with your friends throughout Rocklahoma.
  • Burgers, Brews, & Barbecue: A new destination at Rocklahoma, Burgers, Brews & Barbecue will be a place to sit down, relax, and enjoy some great local food from the best burger and barbecue joints from around the Southwest. And what better way to wash down that great food than with a cold craft beer?
  • The ROCK 66 Market: The ROCK 66 Market will be a new destination for fans to connect with friends, shop for unique one-of-a-kind items, charge your phone, or grab a cold beverage. The ROCK 66 Market will feature quirky items, artists, jewelry makers, and other unique vendors from the local are and from around the country.
