Ice Nine Kills Premiere New Song & Video “Merry Axe-Mas”

ICE NINE KILLS + REVOLVER PREMIERE
NEW SONG + VIDEO “MERRY AXE-MAS”

Ice Nine Kills and Revolver have teamed up to premiere the delightfully devious, holiday ‘n’ horror themed new song and video “Merry Axe-Mas.” Watch the video game and slasher-inspired clip here and here.

SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT is one of my all time favorite slasher flicks,” says singer Spencer Charnas. “In our song and video for, ‘MERRY AXE-MAS,’ I wanted to pay tribute to the film’s brilliant combination of sleaze, holiday cheer, absurdity, and vicious gore. Released in 1984 at the height of the ’80s slasher craze, the film’s axe wielding Santa marketing campaign threw uptight parents and the PC police into an unholy rage.”

He furthered, “Angered families staged protests in front of theaters and PTA groups across the country petitioned for the film’s banishment. Tri Star pictures subsequently caved and SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT was pulled from theaters after only one week.

However, all the negative publicity only fueled the forbidden fruit factor and the infamous film quickly gained cult status. This story just goes to show you that if you try and suppress something, it’s only more likely to rear its (decapitated) head.”

Ice Nine Kills’ The Silver Scream is out now. The album bowed impressively in October, with nearly 19,000 units sold in its first week.

Black Coffee Announce Addition of New Bass Player, Nick Fratianne

Columbus, OH based Bluesy Rock Band BLACK COFFEE
has announced the addition of a new bass player to their line-up, Nick Fratianne.

To introduce the new member, the band released a hilarious new video filmed and created by John Payne of Payne Productions.

“We’re all super happy to have Nick on board with Black Coffee, not only is he a very close friend but also one of the best bassists in Columbus, I’m most excited to see what crazy shit Ehab comes up with now that he doesn’t have to worry about the bass!” – Tommy

“I’ve known Nick forever, he helped introduce me to my first tastes of classic hard rock as well as being a band mate in my formative years of music, we’re super pumped to have him in the Black Coffee family and to see how his talents can help push us even further!” – Ehab

Black Coffee has also announced that they will be performing at both Epicenter Festival in Rockingham, NC (5/10-5/12) and Sonic Temple Music and Arts Festival in Columbus, OH (5/17-5/19)!

Black Coffee formed in early 2017 after drummer Tommy McCulloughintroduced singer|bassist, Ehab Omran, to guitarist Justin Young. Within the first few days, these artists began songwriting and the chemistry was overwhelmingly apparent.

With the release of Black Coffee’s debut album, Take One, on April 21st, the Columbus, Ohio rockers definitely possess the sound, style, confidence and work ethic to drive this album’s success. The original single, “I Barely Know Her,” is already available on all streaming services, and its accompanying video debuts Friday, April 20th.

Fans can expect a diverse selection of original music. From the raw and dominant 1st single to the blistering, “Hurricane,” and funky, “Monica,” . . . along with otherworldly, “The Traveler,” and drive-with-the-top-down classic,“Born To Lie,” Take One proves to be one of the most exciting musical debut’s in modern history.

Black Coffee combines superb musicianship with a high-energy performance that is refreshingly both vintage and ground-breaking. This three-piece collaboration takes inspiration from classic rock bands of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, and fuses it with the root music of blues and rock n’ roll from the 40’s and 50’s. Dedicated to re-inventing modern rock music, Black Coffee parts the proverbial sea for the next generation of artists.

ABOUT KILLSWITCH ENGAGE:
Formed in 1999 out of western Massachusetts, Killswitch Engage are often credited as one of the most influential metal acts in the last 20 years. Twice Grammy-nominated, they’ve sold over 3 million records worldwide, with The End of Heartache and As Daylight Dies both certified Gold in the U.S. The band has enjoyed multiple Top 10-charting albums, with 2016’s Incarnatelanding at #6 on the Billboard Top 200, #1 on the Current Rock Albums chart, and debuting at #1 overall in Canada, #5 in Australia, and #10 in both the UK and Germany, a testament to the band’s international reach.

As co-founders of Killswitch Engage, guitarist/backing vocalist Adam Dutkiewicz, guitarist Joel Stroetzel, bassist Mike D’Antonio, and lead vocalist Jesse Leach (who returned four years ago after a decade-long absence) together with longtime drummer Justin Foley continue to make trend-resistant, timeless heavy music that feeds the soul, touches the heart, and strengthens the mind. Spending much of their career on the road, Killswitch Engage have enjoyed premium slots on major U.S. tours, including OzzFest, Warped Tour, Taste of Chaos, Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest, Music As a Weapon, and Trespass America, as well as countless international festivals around the globe. Having shared the stage with acts ranging from Rise Against to Slayer, the diversity and versatility of their touring is unparalleled.

Their songs have been featured on Guitar Hero III, Rock Band, John Madden, the Resident Evil III soundtrack, and as entrance music for WWE wrestling champ CM Punk. The band’s compelling history can be seen in their latest release, Beyond the Flames: Home Video Vol II, a treasure trove of gripping content, containing 3.5 hours of footage, including a 75-minute documentary that chronicles the return of original vocalist Leach after nearly a decade away from the band he helped form, as well as tons of live footage from around the globe. The band recently announced its signing to Metal Blade Records, with a new album planned for 2019.

ABOUT PARKWAY DRIVE:
The five-piece metal band from Byron Bay, Australia formed in 2002. The band features vocalist Winston McCall, guitarists Luke Kilpatrick and Jeff Ling, bassist Jia O’Connor, and drummer Ben Gordon. Cane Hill Drop New Video For “Acid Rain”

CANE HILL DROP “ACID RAIN” VIDEO
BAND TO RELEASE KILL THE SUN ON JANUARY 18, 2019 VIA RISE RECORDS
BAND TOURING WITH SEVENDUST THIS WINTER

New Orleans four-piece Cane Hill will release a brand new record titled Kill the Sun via Rise Records on January 18, 2019.

The band has just shared the new video for the trippy track “Acid Rain.” Watch it here.

Cane Hill previously shared the video for the title track, which is a brilliant and unexpected artistic left turn. Watch it here.

“We spent the summer working on new Cane Hill music,” the band said. “We’ve embraced the weirder and mellower side of what we do, as it’s something we think is important to our band. With that in mind, we’ve been in the studio with the incredibly talented Kris Crummett, working on music that embellishes those elements. It’s six songs of dark, twisted, and semi-acoustic beauty. We’re incredibly proud of it and can’t wait for you to hear it.”

The band continued, “We wanted to embrace some leftover emotions we’ve been dealing with since getting our shit together while exploring our own musical limitations. We made this semi-acoustic record because we needed to for ourselves — and because honestly, why the fuck not?”

Cane Hill will hit the road again this winter supporting Sevendust. All confirmed Cane Hill dates are below.
