Wage War Premiere New Song & Video “Low”

WAGE WAR PREMIERE NEW SONG + VIDEO “LOW”

Florida’s Wage War are preparing to enter the studio to record their third album and the follow up to 2017’s well-received Deadweight. In the meantime, the band has teamed up with Revolver to premiere the video for the menacing yet melodic new song “Low.” The track is a glimpse of what fans can expect from the next record.

“‘Low’ is one of the first full songs we completed after Deadweight,” said singer/guitarist Cody Quistad. “It started as most songs do with the main riff. We recorded the first demo of it on our bus on Warped Tour this past year. We went back to Andrew Wade and Jeremy McKinnon for the production and engineering side of things and were honored to have metal legend, Mark Lewis, mix it! The song went through many structure changes before landing on what it is today. ‘Low’ represents everything you’ve come to expect from Wage War, but in its most refined state.”

He continued, “Lyrically, the song is centered around experiences with depression and anxiety. I think it’s a conversation that is finally being brought to light and deserves to be so. I’ve always found solace in listening to dark songs that find me exactly where I’m at. There’s something comforting about knowing that someone has been through exactly what you’re feeling, and hopefully that’s what ‘Low’ is for someone.”

Behemoth launches new video for “Ecclesia Diabolica Catholica”

Behemoth launches new video for “Ecclesia Diabolica Catholica”
Set to kick-off European tour with
At the Gates, Wolves in the Throne Room

After recently completing a North American headlining tour with At the Gates and Wolves in the Throne Room, Behemoth will be bringing this must-see show to Europe, starting tomorrow! In anticipation of the trek, the band has also launched a new video for “Ecclesia Diabolica Catholica” (directed by Grupa 13 / http://www.grupa13.com), taken from their latest album, I Loved You At Your Darkest. To watch the clip, please visit: https://youtu.be/HKWqzjQAv14

Orion (bass & vocals) comments: Behemoth Legions! As this ‘ILYAYD‘ adventure continues onwards, we want to share a new video with you! Since we began the writing process, ‘Ecclesia Diabolica Catholica’ was a stand-out contender to be featured as a single and music video. As the song evolved during rehearsal and recording, it gained this lively, furious vibe…which you hear now – thus, it includes live performance elements which we’ve not done in quite some time. We are happy to work with Grupa13 once again – and once again, they showed their super-professional approach at every step of the shooting and video production. Two separate locations, hours of preparation, but it was all worth it. In absentia dei, we evangelize! Enjoy!”

I Loved You At Your Darkest is a crushing salvo of black metal majesty replete with hellish riffs, thundering drum cannonades and soaring liturgical choirs reminiscent of classic horror cinema. Behemoth‘s most dynamic record yet, the album is extreme and radical on one hand, but also more rock-oriented than any other release. Produced by the band themselves, with drum co-production by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames), mixing by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children Of Bodom) mastering by Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson), and a 17-piece Polish orchestra arranged by Jan Stoklosa, I Loved You At Your Darkest can be previewed and purchased now at: http://behemoth.lnk.to/ILYAYD

September Mourning Release Music Video For “Glass Animals”

SEPTEMBER MOURNING Release Official Music Video
for New Single, “Glass Animals”

Hard Rock Graphic Novel Art Project SEPTEMBER MOURNING has released the official music video for their newest single, “Glass Animals.”

“‘Glass Animals’ is about the fragmented soul. It’s about the realization that we are all broken. Something or someone has broken us and within that broken state we ultimately find the strength to survive. Musically, it’s a little bit of a tribute to one of our favorite bands: The Deftones. The song ties into the comic book as well…. Hannah is a broken soul who, through the help of September and Claire, finds the strength to face her personal demons and live again.” – Emily Lazar (Founder)

Shortly after Glass Animals drops, Image Comics is releasing September Mourning The Complete Collection co-created by Lazar and Marc Silvestri, co-written by Mariah McCourt and David Hine, illustrated by Sumeyye Kesgin and Tina Valentino and published by Top Cow. “In a world where Reapers prey on the souls of the living, imprisoning them in the shadow-land of Mortem, there is one last hope for humanity…. September Mourning” describes Lazar. The graphic novel will be sold in comic stores, books stores (Barnes & Noble) nationwide and on Amazon.

To support the release of the graphic novel and new music, September Mourning will be hitting the road, supporting Smile Empty Soul. Before and after the dates, the band will also be doing a handful of headline shows that will be announced soon. Doing this tour the band will also be stopping by local comic retailers for special meet and greets and acoustic performances.

ABOUT MOVEMENTS:
Music and emotion share a timeless physiological, psychological, and spiritual bond. A chord, a melody, or a lyric can lift spirits and inspire. Movements achieve that sort of reaction on their full-length debut, Feel Something[Fearless Records]. Threading together spacey guitars, evocative and introspective lyricism, ponderous spoken word, and tight songcraft, the Southern California quartet—Patrick Miranda [vocals], Ira George [guitar], Spencer York [drums], and Austin Cressey [bass]—immediately connect by opening up. That musical empathy quietly launched Movements on an upward trajectory in 2015. Formed by longtime friends, the group landed a deal with Fearless Records after just one local gig. Produced by Will Yip [Tigers Jaw, Title Fight, Turnover, Citizen], their debut EP, Outgrown Things, became a fan favorite. Acclaimed by the likes of Alternative Press and New Noise Magazine, songs like “Nineteen” and “Kept” each respectively amassed over 800K Spotify streams and counting as they have toured nonstop.  Along the way, the boys started working on what would become Feel Something before returning to the studio with Yip in February 2017. In the sessions, their signature style crystallized and coalesced. Ultimately, Movements bring emotion to life in each note.

Them Evils set to tour with Pop Evil, appearing on Shiprocked Cruise

Them Evils set to tour with Pop Evil,
appearing on Shiprocked Cruise.

Southern California based Them Evils are heading back out on tour to kick off the New Year in direct support for Pop Evil.  Along the way they will be setting sail on the Shiprocked Cruise, where two live performances are slated.  The band continues to promote their “Rollin’ Stoned and Livin’ Free” EP as they add the track “Practice What You Preach to their live shows and put the finishing touches on a new song to be released in the late 1st quarter of 2019. The band played more than 100 dates in 2018, including a national tour with stops at Welcome To Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, and main stage @ Rock On The Range.

Them Evils had a breakout year in 2018 with 1st single and video “Got Me Rockin‘”, which premiered @ Loudwire. Key playlist adds including Spotify Rock Hard, & Riffsplaylists, Alternative Press Discover, and Loudwire Wired WeeklyApple Music Breaking Hard RockPandora New Rock channelGoogle Play Music Rock Hotlist and Hard Rock Hotlist radio, and Slacker radio New Rock Now helped the band gain momentum.  Press looks have included Kerrang, LoudwireAXS, Rock Revolt, Alternative Addiction and others that added to the bands critical acclaim.

Them Evils’ late-night joyride through Rock N’ Roll’s seedy underbelly was born in the shadows of neon vice and nocturnal living in Las Vegas, when Jordan and Jake met in High School.  They started writing and playing together and knew that they had a chemistry that was undeniable. In 2013 they made the move to Southern California to pursue their music professionally – with nothing to fall back on other than their drive and belief in their music and each other. They connected with David through a friend that worked at a bar with Jordan and who knew they were looking for a permanent drummer. Delaney auditioned for Griffin and Massanari, and all 3 knew it was a good fit immediately. The nasty energy befitting their name grew from there.

Inspired by equal parts of rock giants like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Queens of The Stone Age, among others, the band pays tribute to their roots while carving out their own unique sound.  Them Evils music is at times throwback without being too derivative and is thoroughly modern. “We pretty much made our own scene,” Griffin says. “We started out doing straight up rock and roll, and that’s what we’re still doing… That said, we’re always evolving.”

The band has previously released Two EPs: their debut Cold Black Love (2015) and the self-titled Them Evils (2016). They made inroads @ Active Rock Radio in 2017 with “She Got Nothin“, which peaked @ #22 on the BDS Rock Indicator chart.

They were born for the stage and have been road warriors for the past 4 years – the band have caught the ear of no less an icon than Zakk Wylde, who had them open for Zakk Sabbath in 2017.  They regularly does Club tours, as well as toruing with The Pretty Reckless, Alter Bridge, Red Sun Rising, and 10 Years, among others. The band plans to continue touring, with breaks to finish recording additional new music to be released in the latter part of 2019.

High On Fire Canceles “Electric Messiah Tour 2019” Due to Medical Emergency

HIGH ON FIRE CANCELS “ELECTRIC MESSIAH TOUR 2019”
DUE TO MEDICAL EMERGENCY

High On Fire will not participate in the 2019 “Electric Messiah Tour” sponsored by Revolver Magazine. Fans can refund their tickets through the point of purchase.

This is an unfortunate blow as I was wanting to see them again as well as hearing some of their latest Electric Messiah live.  The album was listed as one Rocked’s Top 10 Best Albums of 2018.

Here’s hoping Matt can get back on his feet soon and push forward for festival season.  Frontman Matt Pike has provided a statement:

“Dear Friends and fans,
To my brothers, my crew, and anyone else this affects. I do apologize for the inconvenience of this cancelation. I feel as though I’m explaining lightning striking twice. I wanted nothing more in the world to play these songs live, nor ever cancel something I say I’m gonna do.
“I am a warrior for our art, and have endured some painful things to what we do. The timing and repeating nature of this is my nightmare and almost impossible. Nevertheless, to save yet another toe, my big one, I have been grounded by circumstances out of my control. I will have more of a medical report to come but right now I’m at great risk of losing it, and/or a bigger portion of my foot due to Diabetes. Which I have been managing very well.
“It just shows how this disease can affect our lives. Please forgive me, and if you know anything about me, you know this is not like me. We will be back!”

On the very fun video, the band shares the following note:

We are all big fans of Demi. We’ve tried to @ her on Twitter but to no avail! So we took the logical next step and made a video devoted to winning her attention. Set It Off Share New Song “Midnight Thoughts”

SET IT OFF SHARE NEW SONG “MIDNIGHT THOUGHTS”
NEW ALBUM MIDNIGHT OUT ON FEBRUARY 1 VIA FEARLESS RECORDS
HEADLINE TOUR KICKS OFF ON FEBRUARY 15

Set It Off have shared another new track from  their forthcoming Fearless Records debut Midnight, out February 1.  Listen to “Midnight Thoughts” here.

The band released the song on New Year’s Day via a New Year’s Eve countdown clock.

“I, like many people in our generation today, have a tremendously terrible time falling asleep at a decent hour,” said singer Cody Carson. “I find myself lying awake in my bed and reflecting on so many things at once that sometimes they overlap and attack me. The good, the bad, the what could have been, the what should have been… they are very present. This song is about learning to deal with these thoughts and feelings, not letting them consume you and just living with it. Somethings you cannot control, you just have to tolerate it.”

The brand previously dropped two tracks — “For You Forever” and “Dancing With the Devil” — before the holiday break. Before that, the band shared the  music video for the upbeat and effervescent new track “Lonely Dance.” Watch the clip, which takes place on a spaceship and features the band as astronauts, here. ICYMI, check out also-released “Killer In The Mirror.”

Midnight was produced by Mike Green (Neck Deep, All Time Low, State Champs) with additional production by Brandon Paddock (Panic! At the Disco, Papa Roach, The Used, Daughtry).

Midnight demonstrates a depth and breadth of musicianship. Carson played clarinet and guitarist Dan Clermont played trumpet on the record, while the band also incorporated live strings, live horns, and a live gospel choir into the album. Midnight also includes intricate, instrumental features by Reel Big Fish’s Matt Appleton and Issues’ Skyler Accord, as well as a vocal feature by Wayfarers.
