ABOUT MOTIONLESS IN WHITE:
Since 2006, Motionless In White has won over audiences around the globe with their aggressive music and arresting imagery, rapidly rising to the upper echelon of modern rock. Albums such as 2010’s Creaturesand 2012’s Infamous would galvanize a rabid fan base around the band — currently comprised of lead singer Chris Motionless, guitarists Ryan Sitkowski and Ricky Horror, and drummer Vinny Mauro. Motionless In White’s 2014 LP, Reincarnate, reached new heights, bowing at #9 on the Billboard Top 200 and claiming #1 on Billboard’s “Hard Rock Albums” chart. GRAVEYARD SHIFT, the band’s latest album arrived in 2017 to critical acclaim, once again topping Billboard’s “Hard Rock Albums” chart led by the Top 20 Active Rock hit “LOUD (F*ck It),” as well as the thunderous singles “Eternally Yours” and “Necessary Evil.” “Motionless In White make sure to leave no gravestone unturned as they explore the vast underworld of rock,” declared Alternative Press, while Rock Sound avowed, “Every cut brings something new to the table… tugging at the heartstrings one moment and cutting straight to the bone the next.”

ABOUT ATREYU:
Since their formation in 1998, Atreyu have elevated heavy music to melodic heights contrasted by stark hardcore grit, doling out beauty and brutality in equal measure. This delicate balance transformed the Southern California quintet into a gold-selling powerhouse and enduring presence. 2002’s Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses established them as an influential force, while 2004 follow-up The Curse sold 450,000-plus copies. A Deathgrip on Yesterday and 2007’s Lead Sails Paper Anchor both bowed in the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 200 with the latter garnering a gold certification from the RIAA—a highly rare accomplishment for a 21st century rock band. The musicians returned with Long Live in 2015. It crashed the Top 30 of the Billboard Top 200. The boys sold out countless headline shows and shared the stage with Korn, Linkin Park, Chris Cornell, and Avenged Sevenfold. 2018’s In Our Wake reaffirmed their staying power, receiving praise from Metal InjectionNew Noise, and Louder who claimed, “They can still boss a field-filling chorus with the best of them.” Additionally, “The Time Is Now” clocked nearly 10 million cumulative streams as “In Our Wake” and “Anger Left Behind” both surpassed 2 million. Their wake continues to grow.

ABOUT WILSON:
Wilson formed in 2010 when the members came together in Detroit, MI. After two previous full-length releases Fullblast Fuckery in2013 and Right To Rise in 2015, the band is back in 2018 with an all new album, record label, outlook on their career and musical direction combining their unique brand of in-your-face rock n roll with an influence of Hip-Hop and their love of all things ’90s.Tasty Nasty, the band’s most recent LP, was produced by the band and Scott “The Ninja” Stevens (American Authors, Shinedown, Sick Puppies). From the infectious chant of album opener “Dumptruck” to the reflective introspection of closer “Everyone Gets A Round On Me,” it is apparent that Wilson has not lost their ability to tell a great story. Songs like “My Hustle,” “Summertime Treat (Tasty Nasty),” and “Fuck Up My High” all showcase the diverse musical styles Wilson incorporates in to their latest album. The debut single “Like A Baller” is an instant classic among the band’s devoted faithful. Wilson is Chad Nicefield (vocals), Jason Spencer (lead guitars), Kyle Landry (rhythm guitars), James Lascu (bass) and Matt Puhy (drums).

In Flames Celebrate I, The Mask Release In New York City | Photos | March 2nd, 2019

In Flames in New York City

On March 1st, 2019, In Flames released their 13th full album I, The Mask.  On March 2nd, they came to celebrate the release with Within Temptation at the Playstation Theater in Times Square, New York.  This was the first time I had seen In Flames live since 2015 and I have to say that this show in NYC was a fun one.

To give an idea of how much fun people were having at this show, there were fans that started crowd surfing between songs.  Just to silence.  It got to the point where Anders said on the mic, “You know, we can play some music for you WHILE you do that.”  It got a good laugh out of everyone.  This new crowd surfing trend to no music continued after the set was over.

Anders stopped after three songs to take to the mic for another reason, to thank all the fans for being there and how much he loved them.  He said they wouldn’t exist without them there.  The setlist included a variety of songs from their long careers as well as tracks from their latest album.

Whether it’s the earlier material from In Flames you prefer or the later, it really feels like In Flames is there to try and give something to everyone.  Whenever you see a band having fun on stage while they play, it radiates to the crowd.  We need more of that in rock and metal.

You can find tour dates and more information on In Flames’ Facebook page here: In Flames on Facebook.  Click on any photo below to open the gallery and scroll below the photos to watch the music video for “I Am Above”.

Within Temptation Brings The Resistance To New York City | Photos | March 2nd, 2019

Within Temptation in New York City

2019 is a return to form for Within Temptation.  The band have just released the album Resist, their latest in almost five years, and have come to the United States and Canada for a tour to remind people how much fun symphonic metal can be.  The setlist featured many songs from Resist and the stage presentation resembled the feeling of the album as well as the design of the music videos for songs such as “The Reckoning” and “Supernova”.

One note I want to point out is just how well Sharon den Adel can command a crowd.  At a sweaty, crowded venue in Times Square (that had fans previously crowd surfing to no music at all between bands after In Flames ended), Sharon was able to wrangle them all in and get them into the music at her will.  It’s becoming rare that we see the lead of any metal band be able to completely grab the attention of an entire crowd and have them focus on the music rather than moshing into each other’s skulls.

Overall, the sound was excellent and it made up for the brutal cold that many people had to wait in just to enter the venue.  It was a solid show and you can tell the audience was having a good time.

A final note to point out is just how well designed Playstation Theater is.  Regardless of how many name changes and designs the venue has gone through, Sony and Playstation have designed an amazing venue in Manhattan.  No doubt that I would go there more often if possible, and I wish there was a venue this well presented closer to me.

You can find more information and tour dates on Within Temptation’s Facebook page by clicking here: Within Temptation on Facebook.  Click on any photo below to open the gallery and scroll below the photos to see music videos from Within Temptation’s latest album Resist.

Demon Hunter Premiere “On My Side” Video

Demon Hunter + Revolver Premiere “On My Side” Video
New Albums War And Peace Out On March 1

Demon Hunter and Revolver have premiered the video for “On My Side.” Watch it here.

“The video for ‘On My Side’ was filmed in Seattle by Andy Maier,” frontman Ryan Clark told Revolver. “For this — the first video from our new album, War— we wanted to keep things straightforward with regards to the overall approach. Though the video is strictly performance, we did have some fun by filming each setup the same way a number of times using different lighting scenarios in each.”

He continued, “This meant performing it the exact same way — hand motions, body positioning — over and over, but [it] ultimately allowed us to toggle between looks while maintaining the same general positioning, which gives a really cool effect in the end.”

The band will drop two new albums, War and Peace, via Solid State Recordson March 1. The ambitious efforts are the follow-ups to 2017’s Outlive, and were recognized and lauded by Decibel, who said, “metalcore survivors make their best album, ever — twice.” Metal Injection also labeled the new material as “blissful melodeath.”

Demon Hunter recently relaunched their fan-club Blessed Resistance. Further info is available here.
