Whitechapel Releases Music Video For “When A Demon Defiles A Witch”

Whitechapel Launches Video For New Single,
“When A Demon Defiles A Witch”

On March 29th, Whitechapel will release their 7th full-length, The Valley, via Metal Blade Records. Mixed by David Castillo, mastered by Ted Jensen, and produced once again by Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder), The Valley is a reference to the part of Hardin Valley (west of Knoxville, Tennessee) where vocalist Phil Bozeman grew up. Set against this backdrop, he approaches his subject matter unflinchingly, building upon everything that came before, making it clear that he has survived that which he was forced to endure and is not afraid to confront it. “Phil has been upfront in his lyrics in the past about hardships he endured in his life as a child, and I believe with this record we tried to paint a better picture of that,” says guitarist Alex Wade, who alongside his bandmates, stands 100% behind everything their vocalist has to say. “I feel our music is Phil’s release from his past, being able to get it out and speak about it, and hopefully anyone who hears it that may have gone through similar experiences can find some release in it as well.”

For a preview of The Valley, a video for the new single, “When a Demon Defiles a Witch” (directed by Mathis Arnell – http://www.naughtymantis.com), can be viewed at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuRZYB9EEZM

Anyone throwing The Valley on for the first time will immediately recognize it as the work of Whitechapel, yet as has been the case with each release, there is also evolution in play. “Sound-wise, it’s all over the place,”Bozeman states plainly. “There’s aggression, and then you’re hit with ominous and emotional guitar riffs. It’s mean, but then transfers to soft and inviting. It’s a whirlwind of emotions throughout.”

Last fall, CHEVELLE released 12 Bloody Spies: B-Sides and Rarities – a comprehensive compilation of sought-after B-Sides and rarities. The album contains music from 2002-2016, spanning their acclaimed career and remastered on one brand new collection for the very first time. Get it HERE! One of the most creatively fearless bands in hard rock, CHEVELLE‘s 12 Bloody Spies: B-Sides and Rarities reveals a treasure trove of under-the-radar ‘finds’ and hidden gems, as well as other enlightening musical detours that deserve to be considered alongside CHEVELLE‘s incomparable body of work.

ABOUT CHEVELLE:

Since the release of their full-length debut Point #1 in 1999, CHEVELLE have stood at the forefront of hard rock, consistently evolving and progressing while delivering a series of ubiquitous and inescapable anthems. 2002’s breakout Wonder What’s Next would go platinum, yielding smashes such as “The Red” and “Send the Pain Below, while its follow-up This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In reached gold status. In 2011, Hats Off to the Bull landed at #9 on the Billboard Top 200 and delivered “Face to the Floor. La Gárgola crashed into the Top 5 at #3 and boasted “Take Out the Gunman.” 2016’s The North Corridor represented new heights for the group, marking its fourth Top 10 bow on the Billboard Top 200.

When a relatively unknown Swiss band released their debut album ‘Illuminance’ in 2016, only insiders suspected the massive impact it would stir. Yet it was on the strength of this release that VIRVUM were offered to sign on Season of Mist. Now their new home is reissuing ‘Illuminance,’ which is to be available on vinyl for the first time.

VIRVUM were founded by childhood friends in 2007 and since then the aspiring and hard-working musicians continuously fine-tuned and honed the tracks of their first full-length to match their burgeoning skills.

VIRVUM first got noticed when guitarist and main songwriter Nic Gruhn happily took the offer to join a European tour with California’s progressive death metal pioneers FALLUJAH while also opening for such renowned bands as SUFFOCATION and CEPHALIC CARNAGE in 2013. On the return of their guitarist, VIRVUM immediately set out to perform as many shows as possible in order to establish the band in Europe.

In 2015, a first single, entitled ‘Internal Howl,’ attracted immediate attention and, that same year, VIRVUM were picked to internationally support big names such as DYING FETUS, FLESHGOD APOCALPYSE, and DEFEATED SANITY among others.

In advance of their self-released debut full-length, VIRVUM received a massive response for the song premieres of “Ad Rigorem” and title track in 2016, while the album was highly acclaimed by critics and fans alike.

With their professional attitude, the exceptional technical prowess of each individual musician, and last but never least the outstanding collective songwriting skills, the Swiss are now ready for the next step. While VIRVUM create a new monstrous record in studio, their amazing debut ‘Illuminance’ is made available again.

For more than a decade, alt rockers Lullwater have been blazing their way to the top of the industry thanks to their gritty, Southern-infused sound and straight-up, raw performances.

Formed in 2007 in Athens, GA, the foursome was born from the indelible mark that the godfathers of grunge left on music. The convergence of this inspiration, mixed with a healthy helping of swagger, defines this critically acclaimed alternative rock band.

The group released its debut, self-titled album in 2012 to solid reviews and were immediately invited to join some of the biggest tours that same year, as well as had the single “Albatross” featured on Sirius XM Octane Radio. Since that time, Lullwater has spent the majority of their career on the road sharing the stage with such A-list acts as CandleboxTheory of a DeadmanFlyleafPassafireAmarantheButcher Babies, and more. The band released their critically acclaimed sophomore album, Revival, in 2015, followed by a live EP, The Seattle Sessions, in 2017.

Voodoo, their latest effort and arguably their best work to date, was recorded at the end of 2017 in New Orleans at Marigny Studios by Swedish producer and engineer Jakob Herrmann, co-produced/engineered by Justin Davis, and mixed by Jakob Herrmann at top floor studios, is scheduled for a Winter 2018 release; this record promises an even bigger, more explosive sound that will shake you to your core.

Of Mice & Men Release New Song “How to Survive”; Extensive Tour In 2019

Of Mice & Men Drop New Song “How To Survive”
Band To Tour The U.S. Extensively
With Nothing More And Beartooth

Of Mice & Men spent much of the fall hunkered down in the studio working on new material with producer Josh Wilbur. They have stormed out of the gates with a brand new, battering ram of a song entitled “How to Survive.”

“‘How to Survive’ is an anthem for those who have been the receiving end of unmerited and targeted hatred and abuse,” said singer and bassist Aaron Pauley, offering a deeper insight into the impactful song. “It’s for the kid who was bullied, beat up, and ignored in school. It’s for the teenager who was told that they’ll never amount to anything and that their thoughts, feelings, and opinions don’t matter to the world. It’s for the person who has been told that they’re worthless, useless, or not good enough, time and time again. It’s for the person who’s repeatedly been targeted by those who only seek to tear others around them down.”

He further stated, “This song is for them. This song is for me. I am them, and I’m still standing. So, turn it up. Feel the rage. If you, too, are that person, you will know it well, and it will greet you like an old friend.”

The song is the first taste of new music from the Southern California quartet since last year’s much-praised Defy album, which Loudwire proclaimed “delivers the sound fans have come to expect (big hooks, monster grooves and singalong melodies) while still breaking some new ground.” RockSound labeled it “a lean beast of a record that gets right to the point.” AllMusic declared it an “album warrants attention for its melody, power, and pure catchiness — a new and satisfying lease on life.”

2019 is going to be a busy year for OM&M. The band will hit the road for back-to-back U.S. tours, hitting the road with Nothing More beginning next week. The band will then tour with Beartooth this spring. All upcoming OM&M dates are below.
