Belzebubs established themselves a cult status in the black metal genre with their self-published debut album Quis Novit Daemonis Astus (2006). The band, originally formed in 2002 as a three-piece by Hubbath, Sløth and Izkariot, found a faster and melodic sound with Obesyx joining the crew. Their second self-published album, Moth of Satanas, followed in 2009, leading the group to sign with Døden Records.

However, due to a series of unfortunate events, the band was forced on hiatus for the better half of the decade. After numerous line-up changes and signing to a new label, Belzebubs is finally ready to resurrect from the dead with the aid of their new drummer Samaël, who’s brought a tight, progressive touch to the rhythm section. The first single Blackened Call came out in June 2018 from Century Media. The full-length album Pantheon of the Nightside Gods was released April 26th 2019.

He Is Legend Releasing White Bat On June 28

North Carolina’s He Is Legend will release the new album White Bat through Spinefarm Recordson June 28.  The album is available for pre-order here.

“White Bat is the purest, most passionate, and the most united He is Legend has been since we wrote It Hates You. I think this album has something for every fan of each chapter in our history,” says singer Schuylar Croom about the album, which is He Is Legend’s sixth full length overall and second for Spinefarm. 

The quartet — the aforementioned Croom, Adam Tanbouz [lead guitar], Matty Williams [bass], and Jesse Shelley [drums] — is bolstered by a cult fan base that includes members of your favorite band. Metal Injection made a salient point in their9-out-of-10-rating of their last album, 2017’s Few, saying, “Let’s cut right to the chase: He Is Legend is one of the most underrated and under-appreciated bands in all of metal.” 

For White Bat, the band diligently worked across the country. Shelley recorded drums in Atlanta at Glow in the Dark Studios with Matt Goldman. Guitars and bass would be tracked at Warriorsound with Al Jacobs. Meanwhile, Croom ventured out West to reteam with Mitch Marlow for vocals in Los Angeles. Inspired by Michelle McNamara’s true crime classic I’ll Be Gone In The Dark, Croom wandered around the shadiest and most shadowy corners of the city of angels. Getting into a menacing mindset for the concept, he visited the grave of Walt Disney, canvased mausoleums, went to the Museum of Death, and “sat in crazy seedy little bars, wrote, and got into this headspace—like preparing for an acting role.”

Ultimately, White Bat “has a moodiness and heaviness we haven’t ventured into in a while,” according to Croom. “It’s conceptual. More than the content and concept, the music is representative of what we are now.”

20 Years Of Sonic Brewtality Tour On Sale Now

Black Label Society, led by American guitar icon Zakk Wylde, has released another new music video today for their song “Bored To Tears” from their upcoming album due out this spring. Once again directed by long-time director and collaborator Justin Reich, this is the second music video we’ve seen from the rejuvenated version of Sonic Brew – 20th Anniversary Blend 5.99 – 5.19 due out next month.

Lollipops, dinosaurs, and dancing turtles.  None of those things have ever been in a Black Label Society music video until now, and the band is not stopping there. Zakk comments,“With the NEW BLACK LABEL SUPAH-EXCITING TECHNICOLOR DREAM COAT HIGH CALORIE BURNING video for ‘BORED TO TEARS,’ I told BLACK LABEL DIRECTOR O’ DOOM & DELIGHT, FATHER JUSTIN REICH, that I wanted to do an ‘EXCITING’ and ‘TOUGH’ looking video in the movie genre style of CLINT EASTWOOD & CHARLES BRONSON.”

Zakk continues,“After seeing the video, apparently FATHER JUSTIN REICH Doesn’t know who these LEGENDARY FILM ICONS are or has them confused with two other actors named CLINT EASTWOOD & CHARLES BRONSON. Every time I watch this video I’m more confused than I was during the previous viewing.“

Los Angeles quintet VOLUMES are primed to set heavy music ablaze in 2019 with their Coming Clean EP, along with an upcoming fourth full-length for Fearless Records.

Following a successful headline tour and run alongside Born of Osiris, Volumes devoted nearly eight months to piecing together their next musical chapter. They recorded throughout Southern California, working out of Butter Studios in Venice, West Alley Recording Studios, and Farias Productions. Self-producing and keeping everything “in-house and organic,” they enlisted Kyle Black [Pierce the Veil, New Found Glory] and Max Schad [Veil of Maya] for an additional perspective.

Ultimately, Coming Clean represents a moment of clarity both personally and artistically.

“Some of us have struggled with depression or drug issues,” admits Soudani. “We’ve battled those demons personally and together and found a nice stability and substance. At the same time, we’re coming clean with ourselves. We’re men now. Life is more precious. The music reflects this honest idea of opening up.”

Volumes introduce this era with the bludgeoning banger “NO LOVE” [featuring Fronzilla] and it’s Volumes’ heaviest declaration yet with an uncanny assist by the Attila frontman and longtime friend. “It speaks on the idea of how we’ve come from the bottom and the dirt, but we’ve been here a long time, so you’re going to have to show some respect,” Soudani states. “We know where we stand. We’re asserting our identity. We’ve found ourselves and know what we’re doing.”

Elsewhere, “ALIVE” slips between the cracks of caustic guitars and punishing growls into a soaring clean refrain, “Am I alive?” Then, there’s “Until the End.” Evocative of what Soudani calls “the original Volumes sound,”it illuminates the dynamic range of their attack, seesawing back and forth from a visceral vocal volley into a harmonic reprieve.

“Coming Clean is an emotional moment for us,” Soudani says. “I hope you feel something when you hear it and gain some perspective. This is Volumes. Coming Clean hints at where we’re headed in the future.”

Legendary rock icons SUM 41 have announced their seventh full-length album, Order In Decline, will be released July 19, 2019 via Hopeless Records. Looking back at the band’s storied 23+ year career, this record is undoubtedly Sum 41’s heaviest and most aggressive album to date, while also being their most dynamic and raw.

During three years of relentless touring surrounding the band’s massive comeback record 13 Voices, frontman Deryck Whibley was feverishly putting together song ideas that would eventually become Order In Decline. Within three weeks of returning home, the majority of the music for the new album was written and then it was time for lyrics.

Unconsciously, Whibley saw lyrics reflecting his reactions to seeing the pervasive division, racism and hate around the world, even more so punctuated by the repulsive social and political turmoil invading his own home nations of the United States and Canada. “The last thing I wanted to do was write a social or political protest record, and Order In Decline is not that,” Whibley clarifies. Instead, Order in Decline is a burst of uninhibited feeling, a page out of his journal, a window into his soul that reflects on extremely personal and vulnerable events, because as he confesses, “It’s also very hard not to have feelings about everything that’s going on in the world.”

Armed with the most honest and personal songs of his career, Whibley poured everything he had into the album. Producing, engineering, and mixing the album in his home studio, he pain-stakingly crafted and fine-tuned each song, highlighted by fast and full riffs, guitar solos from lead guitarist/backing vocalist Dave Brownsound, harmonious chords from guitarist Tom Thacker, and the heavy, heart-thumping rhythm section of bassist/backing vocalist Cone McCaslin and drummer Frank Zummo.

Today’s announcement unleashes the highly anticipated first single and video for “Out For Blood.” It is the epitome of a Sum 41 track, featuring anthemic and echoing vocals, an insane guitar solo and never-ending energy that will captivate you from the very beginning. Produced by C3 Presents and AC Entertainment, the massive footprint of the festival site–known to millions as the home of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival–will be transformed into a rock and roll playground with the all-star line-up appearing on three stageswith 12 hours of music daily, camping and a variety of activities tailored specifically to concert-goers. This marks the first-ever event, beyond Bonnaroo, to utilize the 700-plus acre farm. On site adventures include Paranormal Cirque (an R-rated crazy yet fun fusion between circus, theatre, and cabaret in perfect harmony with the evolution of a show that brings you back to when we dream…and when we had nightmares and fantasies), the first annual EXIT 111 car show, Red Bull motocross demonstrations and a mega sports bar airing full sports coverage throughout the weekend, with more activities announced soon.

For EXIT 111, festival promoters have teamed with Seether frontman Shaun Morgan‘s Rise Above charity. Beyond having one of the festival stages named as the Rise Above Stage, EXIT 111will donate $1.00 from every ticket sold to Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (SAVE). These efforts will assist in raising funds for the charity’s life-saving suicide awareness efforts which started at Rise Above Festival.

EXIT 111 weekend passes and single day tickets go on sale Thursday, April 25 at 12:00 PM (ET). A special pre-sale launches Tuesday, April 23 at 9:00 AM (ET)-Wednesday, April 24 at 11:59 PM (ET) via the festival’s website. Shaun Morgan, founder and frontman of the multi-platinum selling rock band Seether, founded Rise Above in 2012 in honor of his brother who died by suicide. The Rise Above Festival which ran for 5 years in Bangor, ME was the largest suicide prevention event in the world. Morgan was honored in 2016 with the “Artistic Expression” Award from the National Council for Behavioral Health at the Awards of Excellence in Las Vegas.

SAVE is the leading national nonprofit suicide prevention organization working to prevent suicide through public awareness, education and training. They develop best-practice-endorsed materials used around the world and are the only national suicide prevention organization to have developed an evidence-based program for schools. They also work with suicide survivors left behind after a suicide. Led by Executive Director Dr. Dan Reidenberg, SAVE has been certified by Best Charities of America as meeting the highest standards of accountability and responsibility for nonprofits. Of the 1 million charities in the country, only 5% meet the standards and less than 2,000 have been awarded the certification seal. Victorious War Summer 2019 Tour

SKILLET and SEVENDUST will embark on the co-headline Victorious War Tour in August and September. Pop Evil will support, while Devour the Day will open the shows. The tour kicks off on August 11 in Memphis. All dates are below and tickets go on sale on Friday, April 26 at 10am local time.

Both Skillet and Sevendust will be offering presale VIP tickets with meet & greets to their respective fan clubs. Presale tickets are available here.

“We’re thrilled to be touring with Sevendust,” says Skillet frontman John Cooper. “The lineup is incredible and I think the fans will be very happy. We can’t wait to play our new songs on the tour and connect with the Panheads out on the road.” Skillet will be performing songs from their new project, set to be announced on May 7, during this run.
