New Found Glory Premieres Music Video For “This Is Me”
Original Song taken from The Greatest Showman

New Found Glory have taken on one of the biggest film soundtracks in recent history with their cover of “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman. Premiering exclusively with Variety, the track and video maintain the excitement and pride from the original film version while adding an iconic Pop-Punk feel as only New Found Glory can do. In an exclusive interview, guitarist Chad Gilbert shares that this song, more so than any other song from their upcoming record From The Screen To Your Stereo 3, felt like it could have originally been a New Found Glory song. “What’s really cool about ‘This is Me’ is that our friends loved the song. Older punk rock fans don’t know ‘The Greatest Showman,’ haven’t seen the movie. And they hear that song and they’re like, ‘This just sounds like an awesome New Found Glory song. This is a really good song.’” Fans can check out the first listen of the track and brand new music video over at Variety.com.

Due out May 3, 2019 via Hopeless Records, the upcoming album is the third installment of New Found Glory’s critically acclaimed nostalgic movie cover records.  Not only did the band self-record the EP, they also self-produced the music videos for all 7 tracks! Fans can pre-order From The Screen To Your Stereo 3 along with exclusive merchandise bundles today at smarturl.it/nfgmerch.

Featuring today’s release along with fun and energetic NFG versions of movie soundtrack songs including “Let It Go” from Frozen, “Eye Of the Tiger” from Rocky 3, “Power of Love” from Back to the Future, “Cupsfrom Pitch Perfect, “A Thousand Years” from Twilight Breaking Dawn and “Accidentally In Love” from Shrek, this is set to be an album that music and movie lovers of all ages are sure to enjoy. Both New Found Glory and fans alike have been enjoying these re-imagined tracks for nearly 20 years, with the first collection of iconic tracks being released back in 2000.

From Ashes To New Bring Rap Rock Back To St. Louis | Photos | April 2nd, 2019

Just like a phoenix, From Ashes To New has gone through some big changes over the past couple years and now seems to be stronger than they were previously.  Now getting SiriusXM and FM airplay along with Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart success, From Ashes To New’s latest album The Future has proved the band can handle change and keep going.

From Ashes To New is currently on tour with Ice Nine Kills and there were many people at The Ready Room in St. Louis, MO that came just for them.  It was definitely a packed house but it was impressive to see how many fans that FATN had gained over the past few years since Day One.

One of the highlights was between songs when Matt Brandyberry was throwing bars to a slight static feedback.  You can tell he was being sincere about what he was saying.  It’s good to hear that.  Hearing everyone scream the words “AM I GOING CRAZY?” was also a unique moment that I’m pretty sure would have freaked out a few people on the street walking by.

You can check out upcoming tour dates and more info on their Facebook page here: From Ashes To New on Facebook

Ice Nine Kills Get Horrifying In St. Louis, MO | Photos | April 2nd, 2019

Freddy Kruger, The Crow, and a child abducted by IT took the stage at The

Ready Room in St. Louis, MO.  Ice Nine Kills’ latest album The Silver Scream features songs dedicated to horror icons and classic films all befitting of the costumes these Bostonians wore for the show.

Opening with the “Let’s All Go To The Lobby” jingle, the show started with “The American Nightmare” and the strobe lights stayed strong for the entire set.  Normally I go crazy when there are too many strobes but it really added to the atmosphere for the music.

Some of the highlights from Ice Nine Kills’ set was them performing “Rocking The Boat” and “IT Is The End”, which really should be featured in the upcoming Part II for IT or else Hollywood missed a huge opportunity.

This band has two great things going for them: 1.) The ability to perform live, and; 2.) The creativity to make something unique.  Ice Nine Kills is the type of band that should be playing festivals and getting crowds riled up on big stages now.  Here’s hoping they get seen in a bigger spotlight soon.

Sabaton Announce Their New Studio Album, The Great War

Sabaton Announce Their New Studio Album,
The Great War

Today, Swedish heavy metal heroes SABATON reveal the title and artwork for their new studio album that will be released in summer 2019. This ninth full length record, that will see the light of day right in time for the band’s 20th anniversary, will be a concept album named The Great War covering stories from the First World War.

The Great War will be available worldwide through Nuclear Blast Records on July 19th and pre-orders start on April 19th, so watch out for limited and exclusive editions at www.nuclearblast.com.

The band has started the recordings exactly 100 years after the end of the First World War (11/11/1918) and took 3 months of intensive work to complete the album together with their long-term producer and partner Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge Studios. Furthermore, the album has been mastered by Maor Appelbaum and the artwork was once again created by Peter Sallai.

“This is not the first time we sing about stories from this period in time, but now we felt the timing was right to make a full concept album about this war,” the band comments.

In addition, SABATON posted this trailer revealing more details about the amazing artwork – watch it here:

Side by side with the album, the Swedes have worked hard to make their 20th anniversary a very exciting year, and also started the SABATON History Channel – a unique collaboration between the band themselves and multimedia historians Indy Neidell and Timeghost, capturing the power of social media to tell stories about the wars, battles and heroes behind SABATON’s songs. Subscribe to the YouTube channel via this link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaG4CBbZih6nLzD08bTBGfw

“This is the biggest album we have taken on so far, there is so much depth and story around the songs that we never had before,” Pär Sundström announces. “Expect many surprises as we have tried new things and we also went back in time to a concept we know a lot of you love. The Great War has been created side by side with the Sabaton History Channel to make 2019 the most exciting year in our 20 year history.”

Ghost Announce “Ultimate Tour Named Death” 2019 North America Tour with Nothing More

Ghost Announces Fall 2019 North American Dates
The “Ultimate Tour Named Death”
GRAMMY Nominated Rockers Nothing More to Provide Support

With “Dance Macabre” becoming the band’s third #1 single at Rock Radio, GRAMMY Award-winning artist Ghost announces a six-week North American headline tour that will see the Swedish rock band’s elaborate rock theatre presentation metamorphose into a full-on arena production.  Billed as the “Ultimate Tour Named Death” and produced by Live Nation, the tour is due to kick off Friday, September 13 in at the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, CA, following Ghost’s Special Guest summer slot on Metallica’s 25-date “WorldWide” European Stadium Tour.  A series of ticket pre-sales begins tomorrow, April 2 at 10AM local; tickets for the “Ultimate Tour Named Death” go on sale to the general public beginning this Friday, April 5 at 10AM local.  Log on to http://ghost-official.com for all pre-sales, VIP packages and ticketing details.  Confirmed dates are below.

San Antonio’s three-time Grammy-nominated alt/rock band Nothing More, who earned three Top 10 singles from their most recent album The Stories We Tell Ourselves, will provide support for the tour. *

Ghost’s widely acclaimed live performances are known for raising an ungodly ruckus, and that will only be amplified as the band brings its stage production to arenas.  Cardinal Copia and the seven Nameless Ghouls will perform for more than two hours on a striking stage set resembling a medieval cathedral with a backdrop of illuminated stained-glass windows that pay tribute to the three now-departed Papas.  In addition to rich costumes, special effects, and a spectacular light show tailored-made for arenas, the Cardinal and the band will take advantage of a series of multi-level platforms and walkways to prowl around on while performing some of Ghost’s fan-favorite songs from the band’s albums and EPs catalogues.  The set list will include favorites “Square Hammer,” “Cirice,” “Ashes,” “He Is,” “Year Zero,” “Rats,” “Mummy Dust,” “Life Eternal,” “Dance Macabre,” and many more.

Twenty-eighteen proved to be a transformative year for Ghost.  The band’s album Prequelle debuted at #3 on Billboard’s 200 chart, was named Revolver’s #1 Album of the Year, earned a Grammy nomination in the category of “Best Rock Album,” and accumulated 400,000 album sales and 200-million streams since its June release.  Prequelle’s first radio single, “Rats,” held the #1 spot on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart for a record-setting eight consecutive weeks and received a “Best Rock Song” Grammy nomination, and the most recent radio track, “Dance Macabre,” became the band’s third #1 song at rock radio, a position it held for three weeks.  In addition, Loudwire named Ghost its “Artist of the Year.”

Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown Premiere New Song “On To The Next”

Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown Premiere New Song “On To The Next”
Band Touring With Black Stone Cherry On Co-Headline Run

Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown have shared the brand new song “On to the Next” over at Guitar World.  The riff-roaring track is the first taste of new music from the band’s next album, tentatively due this summer. The song and the forthcoming album were recorded with Joel Hamilton (Highly Suspect, Pretty Lights).

“‘On to the Next’ was inspired by the Shakedown’s live show,” guitar virtuoso Tyler Bryant said, offering some insight into the tune. “We show up, we leave it all on the table, and we get gone. We’ve done this regardless of any obstacle since we formed the band. This is something I’m incredibly proud of as I’ve always valued resilience. The ‘we’re here no matter what’ mentality has inspired me to stick to my guns and charge forward.”

He shared a deeper look into the personal and universal meaning behind the song, saying, “With that said, I’m often confronted with self-doubt and anxiety. That’s natural when you go wholeheartedly all in, with anything. Over the course of the new recording sessions, these feelings are key players behind a lot of the lyrics. However, they aren’t welcome in ‘On to the Next.’ The lyrics were born from the attitude of the music and for me, this is purely a song of empowerment.”

Bryant finished, “When I walk on stage, I wanna feel like the biggest badass in the room. No matter how many awesome Shakedown fans show up, 10 times out of 10, I’m the only one who can make me feel like that. I want this song to make someone else feel like they’re the one if they need it while they’re going through their day. ‘On to the Next’ is me making a conscious decision to leave every stage I step on a pile of bricks. That’s just me, though. When I find myself in that vicious feedback loop of doubt and anxiety, I know I’m not the only one who struggles with that. Everyone has their own mountains to climb and we’ve all got to harness our own unique mojo and use it to our advantage. The song exists purely to make whoever is listening to it feel like a total badass.”

TBSD are touring with Black Stone Cherry on a co-headline run this spring. All dates are below.

Joyous Wolf is a Rock band from Southern California formed in 2014 by vocalist Nick Reese, guitarist Blake Allard, bassist Greg Braccio, and drummer Robert Sodaro. Reese and Sodaro met on their first day of 6th grade during student orientation. They went to different high schools where Sodaro would go on to befriend Braccio. During that time Reese, by chance, met Allard in the acoustic room at Guitar Center where they would jam CCR’s “Born on the Bayou”. There was an immediate dynamic between the two that ultimately led to an exchange of information. Months later Reese reached out to both Sodaro and Allard with the interest of starting a new project with them. Braccio would soon follow suit.

In the waning months of 2014 early jam sessions would yield the foundation of what Joyous Wolf has become. Fusing together influences ranging from Heavy Metal to Delta Blues, Joyous Wolf creates an expressive, high-energy fingerprint that separates themselves from their contemporaries in the realm of Modern Rock.

Album Review: Devin Townsend – Empath

A review on Empath, the ninth solo album
and eighteenth studio album by Devin Townsend.

Devin Garrett Townsend is a Canadian musician, songwriter and record producer.  Across all his bands and projects, Townsend has released twenty-three studio albums and three live albums. Townsend’s trademark production style, featuring a heavily multitracked wall of sound, has been compared to the styles of Phil Spector and Frank Zappa. His vocal delivery ranges from screaming to an opera-esque singing. Townsend’s musical style is rooted in metal, and his albums are written to express different aspects of his personality.

Empath is the upcoming eighteenth studio album by Canadian metal musician Devin Townsend, released on his own label HevyDevy Records on March 29, 2019. It is his first solo album since Dark Matterswhich was a part of the 2014 double album Z, and his first release to act solely as a solo album since 2007’s Ziltoid the Omniscient.  #DevinTownsend #Empath #Metal
