ABOUT THROUGH FIRE
The Omaha, NE quartet—Justin McCain [lead guitar, songwriter], Grant Joshua
Kendrick [lead vocals], Kyle LeBlanc [bass], and Grant Brooks [drums]—fuses
hard-hitting riffs, electronic provocations, and contagious melodies. As a
result, this impactful, immediate, and infectious fusion defies categorization
and incites energy as boundless as the style itself. Additionally, the approach
transformed the quartet into a phenomenon with chart-topping radio successes
and over 20 million Spotify streams and 48 million YouTube views in under two
years.
They set the stage to take such action on their 2016
full-length debut, Breathe. Not only did the breakout single “Stronger” clock
millions of streams and spend 26 weeks on Billboard’s Rock Charts, it also
spent five weeks at #1 on Octane’s popular Big Uns Countdown. Proclaimed
“Breakout Artist of the Year,” Sirius Octane named “Stronger” among the Top 3
songs of the year, placing them in a league of their own next to none other
than Metallica and Highly Suspect. On iTunes, “Stronger” quickly went to #1 and
outsold the bulk of bands in the Hard Rock and Heavy Metal genres. The single
soundtracked various mixed martial arts matches for NBC Sports and the Stanley
Cup Finals. It also served as the theme for WWE’s Backlash.
Their second single “Breathe” repeated this success, landing the band their
first top 10 single at rock radio and then reaching #1 on Billboards Mainstream
Rock Indicator Recurrent Chart.
Reclaiming the top spot, “Breathe” also ascended straight to
#1 on Big Uns Countdown. As the band crisscrossed the country on tours with
Seether, Fozzy, Nonpoint, Sick Puppies, Black Stone Cherry and performed at
festivals such as Chicago Open Air, Louder Than Life, Sonic Boom, and Rock
Fest, among many others, they amassed a fervent fan base which helped them
continue to sell an impressive amount of singles.
Now, the same fire fuels the band’s 2019 second full-length for Sumerian Records.
ABOUT WILSON Detroit five-piece Wilson released their third full-length album Tasty Nasty summer of 2018 to rave reviews. From the infectious chant of album opener “Dumptruck” to the reflective introspection of closer “Everyone Gets A Round On Me,” it is apparent that Wilson has not lost their ability to tell a great story.
Songs like “My Hustle,” “Summertime Treat (Tasty Nasty)” and “Fuck Up My High” all showcase the diverse musical styles Wilson incorporates in to their latest album. The debut single “Like A Baller” is an instant classic among the band’s devoted faithful. The band has been touring non-stop since the release of their newest full-length album Tasty Nasty, which came out last summer via RED MUSIC. Fans can purchase Tasty Nasty HERE. Wilson is Chad Nicefield (vocals), Jason Spencer (lead guitars), Kyle Landry (rhythm guitars), James Lascu (bass) and Matt Puhy (drums).
ABOUT STITCHED UP HEART Stitched Up Heart recently released their track, “Lost”, via Billboard. In the time since, the band have released three critically-acclaimed albums: ‘Sixteen Tons’ (2002), ‘God Luck And Good Speed’ (2007), and ‘Jason… The Dragon’ (2011), and toured around the world with the likes of DOWN, SAINT VITUS, HIGH ON FIRE, and THE MELVINS, HANK III, EARTH, SUNN O))) and more. Founding KISS guitarist and Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame member Ace Frehley has released the music video for “Mission to Mars.”
Ace Frehley – “Mission To Mars”
The music video is entirely animated by artist Christopher Fequiere, a first for Frehley. Chock full of KISS fandom easter eggs, this video is the second music video that we’ve seen from the Spaceman LP. “Mission to Mars” follows the release of “Rockin’ With The Boys” that was released last year.
Ace Frehley released Spaceman last year via Entertainment One (eOne) to much critical praise such as Associated Press claiming that Frehley “oozes classic rock style and six-string chops that sound as good today as they did in 1975.”Spaceman debuted at #5 Rock, #5 Vinyl and #9 on Billboard’s Current Album Sales Charts and has gone on to sell more than 10,000 pieces of vinyl alone.
“No need to worry, I’ll be home soon, ’cause I’m rockin’ with the boys,” Frehley sings on“Rockin’ With the Boys,” which tells the tale of life on the road. Ace says he wrote the original version of the song back in KISS’s heyday in the ’70s. Both “Rockin With The Boys” and “Bronx Boy” are available on all streaming platforms today and are iTunes instant grat tracks for fans who preorder the album.
In addition to Ace’s distinctive guitar sound on each track, Ace played bass on all of the songs on Spaceman except for two. The listener might recognize the mighty dinosaur growl of a bass tone belonging to Gene Simmons on the album opener, “Without You I’m Nothing,” which Gene also co-wrote, and “Your Wish Is My Command.” Both songs were recorded at Frehley’s home studio in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
Ace’s reconnection with Simmons and fellow KISS vocalist-guitarist Paul Stanley (who joined Ace on a cover of Free’s “Fire and Water” for 2016’s covers LP Origins, Vol. 1) might be chalked up to the fact that Frehley has been sober for more than a decade (he celebrates 12 years of sobriety in September). Ace’s clean living no doubt has a lot to do with his productive streak, which began with the release of his top 20 Anomaly album in 2009.
Spaceman (a title suggested by Simmons, himself) serves as the first collection of all new Frehley-penned material since 2014’s Space Invader, which debuted at #9 on the Top 200 Chart. The LP scored the highest charting position of any former or current KISS band member ever and marked Frehley’s first return to the Top 10 since KISS’s 1998 Psycho Circus reunion album.
Space Invader received praise from critics. Rolling Stone wrote, “Gene Simmons has claimed Ace Frehley doesn’t deserve to wear Kiss’ Kabuki clown paint, but the former Spaceman’s first solo LP in five years says otherwise,” while Associated Press hailed, “…the original Kiss lead guitarist has recorded his best solo album since his groundbreaking self-titled album in 1978.”
Widely known as the original “Space Ace” and founding guitarist for 16 cumulative years (over 2 tenures) of the multi-platinum selling rock band KISS, Frehley is demonstrably the most popular original member. In addition to having the best-selling solo album career (vintage or current) among the original foursome, Frehley’s self-titled Ace Frehley, released in 1978, went on to sell over one million copies, producing the only Top 40 single, “New York Groove,” from any of the legendary KISS solo albums (peaking at #13).
Backstage at Sonic Temple Festival, Jon from ARTV demanded an interview while the show was being halted for dangerous weather conditions. What started with concern over his behavior turned into exposing Jon for being a monster in public settings.
Interview with ARTV at Sonic Temple
This is the worst interview I have ever, Ever, EVER done! How am I even supposed to describe this to people? My credibility is shot now. Jon found me during the code yellow at Sonic Temple when the show was at a halt, grabbed one of my microphones and demanded to be interviewed.
At first I thought he was joking, but then I realized he wanted to be taken serious. He then started talking about hurting people in circle pits and throwing trash at someone. Why would anyone do that?!
It was also a mess because random people started interrupting and bombing the camera. It’s like those lame news reports where drunk people try to get themselves on TV. How is that still a thing?
You can subscribe to ARTV’s channel below if you want…but don’t enable his bad behavior.

The Glorious Sons at Sonic Temple 2019
The Glorious Sons barely escaped before the wind storm and torrential down pour in Columbus, being able to perform at Sonic Temple and sound great in the process. Many bands were unfortunately cut due to inclement weather on day three of the festival, but everyone still got to sing along with the Canadians.
This is a band that truly is about the music. No gimmicks, no personas, just solid rock that has an infections vibe. It’s the type of music that makes you want to sing with after just one listen.
While it would have been awesome to hear “Heavy” live, I have to admit this was a perfectly fit set. The weather was brewing and stage equipment was malfunctioning behind them, but the band knew how to make it all work. Thi band knows how to make everything fun.
Setlist: My Poor Heart Mama Godless, Graceless, and Young S.O.S. (Sawed Off Shotgun) White Noise Ruby

Bad Wolves at Sonic Temple 2019
Bad Wolves have had a wild ride since 2018 when Disobey was released. Several recent headline dates along with opening for big names like Breaking Benjamin and Five Finger Death Punch over the past 12 months have put a big spotlight on the band. Fortunately, they are shining in that spotlight.
On day one at Sonic Temple, the band performed on the Echo Stage to a massive amount of people who ventured from the main building. The sing-along to “Zombie” was booming and I have to show respect to Tommy Vext who went crowd surfing himself while singing.
Anyone who is an active rock listener is well aware of the “Zombie” cover that has now gone Platinum, but hearing the other songs that the band has on Disobey is worth your time. They are much heavier and energetic than the cover song would elude.
Setlist: Learn To Live No Masters Remember When Better The Devil Hear Me Now Officer Down Zombie
Bad Wolves will be touring through Europe this summer and then joining Papa Roach on the Who Do You Trust Tour. More info can be found on the band’s Facebook page here: Bad Wolves on Facebook

Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown Share New Song “Shock & Awe” New Album Truth & Lies Out June 28
Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown have shared the brand new song “Shock & Awe.” Listen to the track, an all-out, gritty riff fest anchored by bluesy vocals, here.
“When we first chose the cover art for the record, I loved listening to the album while staring at that image,” Bryant said. “It would set off my imagination and uncover new layers in each song. For the ‘Shock & Awe’ video, we decided to take it one step further and re-create the scenario that is scene on the cover of Truth & Lies. With the snakes and the glitter, I think this rock ‘n’ roll wedding party is visual candy for the imagination.”
The song is the opening salvo on the band’s third album Truth & Lies, out June 28 via Snakefarm Records and available for pre-order here. The record crackles with intensity, exploring Bryant’s blues heritage (“Ride”), heartfelt balladry (“Out There”), southern roots (“Trouble”), love of the ’90s rock ‘n’ roll movement (“Eye to Eye”) and more.
The band previously dropped the track “On to the Next” over at Guitar World. Listen here.

Backstage at Sonic Temple, Emerson of Palaye Royale talks about the recent arrest of Sebastian while protecting his dog, selling mugshot t-shirts, and a crazy fan who came on the band’s bus.
Palaye Royale is a Canadian rock band originally formed in Toronto, now based in Las Vegas. The brothers formed their band in 2008 under the name Kropp Circle, later changing their name to PR in the summer of 2011. Their name was taken from the dance hall Palais Royale in Toronto, where their grandparents first met. Their single “Get Higher” peaked at #27 on the Billboard Modern Rock Charts and they were the first unsigned band to win MTV‘s Musical March Madness awards, beating out artists such as Linkin Park.

Boston Manor at Sonic Temple 2019
Some bands hate opening up a festival but Boston Manor proved how to do it in a big way. On day two at the Wave Stage, Blackpool’s band demanded a circle pit be opened and everyone wake up. The crowd responded.
Singer Henry Cox said in an interview later that a new record had been set with the size of a circle pit at any of their shows. It looked like temple attendees were running track.
The band is currently supporting their latest album Welcome To The Neighbourhood that dropped September 2018. The band is about to go back to the UK to perform at Slam Dunk Fest. It appears that this band is going to live on the road for the next few months, and good for them. They are doing everything they can to work hard and make a name for themselves.
Boston Manor will be going on tour in the US with A Day To Remember. You can find more info on their Facebook page here: Boston Manor on Facebook
