Tarja Drops “Railroads” Video New Album In The Raw Out August 30
Tarja
Some things are worth waiting for. Tarja‘s official video for the new song “Railroads” is one such example.
The clip features members of Winter Storm, which is Tarja’s official fan club. Over 100 members submitted both heartfelt and fun videos while singing, dancing, performing, and sharing the lyrics in creative ways. Tarja joins her dedicated fans for a video that is not to be missed.
Brace yourself for what is the singer’s most emotional video to date. Watch the video for “Railroads” here.
“Railroads” is the heavy and melodic second single from Tarja’s upcoming new album In The Raw, which arrives August 30 via earMUSIC. It draws inspiration from the book Aleph by Brazilian writer Paulo Coelho. In it, the writer travels on the Trans-Siberian Railway and begins to better understand his own spiritual condition through his journey.
The album finds Tarja’s beautiful voice sounding as stunning as ever. She has managed to embrace the energy of rock and metal without diluting her signature melodic style. The music matches the feelings Tarja was having from the very beginning of the process, and the album finds Tarja going to personal places in her lyrics.
Opening herself up more than ever before, In The Raw is gold-plated work of wonder.

On the heels of the recently announced US co-headline tour with Skillet, Alter Bridge has released the first song and music video from their upcoming sixth studio album, Walk The Sky.“Wouldn’t You Rather” has already started to make noise at radio and the companion video is now available. The clip, directed by Dan Sturgess, is a performance video that showcases the quartet comprised of Myles Kennedy on vocals/guitars, Mark Tremonti on guitars/vocals, Brian Marshall on bass and Scott Phillips on drums. The video for “Wouldn’t You Rather” can be seen below:
For over 15 years, Alter Bridge has been a band known for blurring the line between hard rock and heavy metal. Recorded in a way never done before, the album was born from complete song ideas created by Kennedy and Tremonti.
These songs would then be worked on by the entire band to create the fourteen songs that would make Walk The Sky the listening experience it is. This varies from the band’s previous method going back to their sophomore release Blackbird where Kennedy and Tremonti would combine individual ideas and riffs alongside producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette to form some of the band’s most revered songs.
From the opening vocal melody on “One Life” to the moving finale of “Dying Light,” Alter Bridge have created a formidable addition to their music catalog. Songs like “Godspeed,” “Native Son” and “Walking On The Sky” are sure to be early additions to the live set. “Forever Falling” also marks a lead vocal return from Tremonti with Kennedy taking the chorus as done previously on the Fortress favorite “Waters Rising.”

Power Metal Band NIVIANE Reveals Epic New Music Video for “The Berserker”
Latest Album, The Druid King, Available via NIVIANE Webstore or Spotify
Niviane
Pitch Black Records recording artists NIVIANE recently released their new music video for the epic song, “The Berserker”, cut from from their latest release, The Druid King. The video, directed by Ryan Adams of award-winning production company RAAD House Films, was shot on location in the Sierra Foothills of California.
Vocalist Norman Skinner comments on the production of NIVIANE‘s video: “We wanted to do something above and beyond your standard band rocking out video shoot. Our vision was to do a music video with more of a cinematic vibe. Ryan Adams understood exactly what we were going for. We had to come to terms very quickly that to do a full casted movie production would be costly but luckily, we have some of the greatest fans in the world. All actors in the video are fans that answered our open casting call, and did I mention they are all volunteers?
We spent our band funds to have costumes made and to purchase all props but aside from the outfits, weaponry and effects the actors really brought this video to life. All day long on a mountain top they braved extremely cold temperatures, rain, lightning and hail without complaining once. We are very proud of how this video came out and do hope that our fans enjoy it as much as we do.”
NIVIANE is an American power metal band formed
in 2014 hailing from Sacramento, California consisting of guitarists Mark Miner
and Gary Tarplee, along with bassist Rick Stallkamp, drummer Noe Luna &
vocalist Norman Skinner. The five members created the band’s sound by melding
together their collective influences of classic heavy metal fused with modern
European metal stylings.
The Druid King is available to
download/stream via the band’s webstore or via Spotify.
What is up next for NIVIANE? Skinner adds: “We
spent much of 2018 touring, so this year we concentrated on writing and
recording for our next album, titled The Ruthless Divine. Zack
Ohren (Machine Head, All Shall Perish) is currently mixing this beast of
an album and it should be released hopefully by the end of the year.”
Niviane recently completed US tours in support of their release The Druid King alongside Sirenia and Threat Signal, as well as another North American tour with Vicious Rumors.

Killswitch Engage Announce Atonement New Album To Be Released August 16 Band Drops New Single “Unleashed”
Killswitch Engage
Grammy-nominated and Gold-selling hard rock heavyweights Killswitch Engage have announced their eighth album Atonement, out August 16 on Metal Blade Records. The album is available for pre-order here.
The band has also shared the first song “Unleashed,” which premiered on SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal and Octane. Watch the visualizer for the song here.
“‘Unleashed’ is about inner passion and rage coming up to the surface,” said singer Jesse Leach. “We all have that wild within that often stays dormant until a tragic event triggers and awakens it. This song is about that awakening within. I feel we were able to capture something raw and intense on this song and I’m stoked for everyone to hear it! The new album Atonement is a reflection of perseverance and passion through the trials and suffering of our existence.”
Indeed, Atonement is the culmination of a trying and turbulent two-year period. KsE started kicking around ideas for the album as early as 2017. The band recorded the bulk of the material separately on both coasts. However, in the middle of the process, a polyp developed scar tissue in Leach’s throat, forcing him to undergo surgery. The intense three-month recovery ended with speech therapy, vocal therapy, and scream therapy. The band ultimately emerged with an album that is further evidence of their undeniable legacy as one of the most enduring metal bands of the last two decades and beyond.
The elaborate illustration on the Atonement album cover was created by none other than talented UK based artist Richey Beckett (Metallica, Mastodon) with the band’s own Mike D’Antonio handling art direction and layout duties.
Atonement
ATONEMENT TRACK LISTING: 1. “Unleashed” 2. “The Signal Fire” [Featuring Howard Jones] 3. “Us Against the World” 4. “The Crownless King” [Featuring Chuck Billy] 5. “I Am Broken Too” 6. “As Sure As the Sun Will Rise” 7. “Know Your Enemy 8. “Take Control” 9. “Ravenous” 10. “I Can’t Be the Only One” 11. “Bite the Hand That Feeds”
KsE will spend the summer on a co-headline tour with Clutch followed by a just-announced fall Europe headline tour.
