The Glorious Sons will release a roaring collection of immediate, stadium-ready rock songs – the six-piece band’s most mature and reflective work to date.
From the album opener “Panic Attack” – a brutally honest track about anxiety’s all-encompassing grip – to the “turbulent guitar licks” (Billboard) on “The Ongoing Speculation Into The Death Of Rock and Roll,” the album bursts with bulletproof energy, while frontman/lead songwriter Brett Emmons’ trenchant, brutally honest lyrics offer searing insight into universal truths about anxiety, sadness and isolation in the 21st century. It’s no wonder Loudwire named The Glorious Sons an up-and-coming rock band “you need to hear.”
You can also check out the music video for The Glorious Son’s big song “Panic Attack” below.
Produced by Frederik Thaae (Kate Nash, Atlas Genius), ‘A War On Everything’ marks the start of a new chapter for the “dirty, sweaty rock” (Alt Press) band, who in 2019 alone landed their first Billboard #1, played massive shows with The Rolling Stones and Twenty-One Pilots, and toured with The Struts.

Grayscale Premiere “Baby Blue” Video At Rock Sound New Album Nella Vita Out September 6
Philadelphia’s Grayscale will release their second album Nella Vita on September 6 through Fearless Records.
The band premiered the video for “Baby Blue,” featuring an epic hospital room dance party, at Rock Sound. Watch it here and here.
“This is a song about saying goodbye to someone after years of silence,” the band said. “It’s about regret and realizing in the moment that what kept you apart was dumb and wasn’t worth the exile of one another.”
Grayscale previously premiered the video for the new single “In Violet” at PopCrush. Watch and listen here.
The band also dropped the song “Painkiller Weather.” Watch the video here.
Grayscale recently wrapped a whirlwind week of coast-to-coast pop-up shops in five cities — Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, and Brooklyn. The fan-centric experiences included exclusive merch and quality time with the band.
Grayscale will embark on a headline tour in September and October. Belmont, Bearings, and Rich People will also appear. All confirmed dates, including the record release show which wraps the tour in the band’s hometown, are below.
Under a heavy influence of everything from ’90s rock to funk, as well as a rotation of modern hip-hop and R&B, Grayscale dove headfirst into writing Nella Vita. At the top of 2019, the band traded its hometown of Philadelphia for Austin, Texas, holing up in the Machine Shop alongside producer MACHINE [Lamb of God, As It Is, Armor For Sleep, Four Year Strong]. The resulting collection of tracks is one that sees the band chronicling life, its many facets, and its many complications, as they themselves have experienced.
Throughout Nella Vita, the quintet explores themes of sex, drugs, death, despair, and everything that embodies life, through a lens that, though far from rose-tinted, finds a lot of positivity in surviving the darkest of experiences. The title of the record and its 12 tracks are a veritable journey that’s both pensive and cathartic. Grayscale manage to bring out the light in the dark and much of the album taps a pop sensibility that will have you singing along and empathizing with the lyrics in no time.

Jinjer Return With New Album, Macro, Out October 25, 2019!
The wait is over! Following up on the release of their most recent full-length album, 2016’s King of Everything, and this year’sMicro EP, Ukrainian modern metal frontrunners JINJER return with their game-changing new album, Macro. The album is set to be released via Napalm Records on October 25, 2019. Punishing riffs, aggressively blended vocals and astonishingly deep lyrics make Macro their most advanced and undeniable album yet – taking the listener on a journey of trauma, power struggle and greed with a progressive groove metal backdrop.
JINJER on Macro: “Going from small things to bigger ones is the natural order of things, and we’ve paved a path from “Micro” to “Macro”, carrying the weight of feelings, emotions and experience. This is a monumental point in the story of JINJER, the quintessence of what makes us what we are now as the people and as a band. We are proud of every single note sung and played on “Macro” and can’t wait for you to give it a listen!”
In addition to announcing the release of their new album, JINJER have released a new single and official video, entitled “Judgement (& Punishment)”. “How many times have we reacted harshly to something just because we simply do not understand it? It seems like there is an innate human trait in all of us, when there is something unknown or unfamiliar that we tend to question the substance, to attack and finally to destroy it … just like primitive apes. But when it strikes back it might be too much to bare. Every action causes a reaction. Judgement (& Punishment) is a reaction. Just keep that in mind.”
While January 2019’s Micro EP proved to be a short exercise in madness and technical brilliance, fans still aren’t prepared for what JINJER has in store with the absolutely unbridled Macro. Defying all boundaries, the aptly titled opening track, ‘On The Top‘, features the band`s eclectic trademarks and obeys one law only – their own. Frontwoman Tatiana Shmaylyuk defines the unique character of the Ukrainian act with menacing whispers, enthralling clean vocals and brutal growls whilst lethally groovy riff cascades melt into twisted songwriting. There is space for a microscopic bit of reggae “Judgement (& Punishment)” in all the heaviness, the double bass is beautifully out of control on ‘Pausing Death’, and technically superior tracks like ‘Home Back’ defy gravity.
Tracklist 1. On the Top 2. Pit of Consciousness 3. Judgement (& Punishment) 4. Retrospection 5. Pausing Death 6. Noah 7. Home Back 8. The Prophecy 9. IainnereP

Toothgrinder Announce New Album I Am Out October 11
Touring
With All That Remains + Lacuna Coil This Fall
New Jersey’s Toothgrinder have announced
their third album I AM. The album, produced by Matt
Squire (Ariana Grande, Panic! At the Disco, Underoath), drops October
11 via Spinefarm Records. It’s available for pre-order here.
The band has just shared the new song and video for the title track. Watch and listen here.
“I AM… a mantra, a prayer, a mediation, a belief, a value, an all encompassing way of life. The title speaks of unity and presence. Becoming comfortable in one’s own skin. To endure whatever life throws at you with grace and gratitude. To love the ones who surround you and accept the things you can’t control. I AM... two of the most powerful words, for what you put after them shape your reality.
All of my life I have felt out of place, left out, a ghost, a phantom, a whisper in a sea of noise. I covered those deafening screams with abuse. Abusing others, friends, family, strangers, and most of all myself. I hurt the ones I love while still loving the one’s I hurt. I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t dream, I couldn’t bleed, I couldn’t breathe. I have yet to right my wrongs, but I hope to start with a song.
The anger, the tension, the narcissism, the callousness, the ego were nothing but amplified in my previous words. The despair was covered up in anger and ego, the void was filled with things, all types of things. Bright things, dark things, shiny things, needless things, but never the right thing, never the real thing.
I do my best to traverse through the negative and reach out a loving hand to those in need. This record’s words give hope rather than facade. This record’s words speak truth rather than perceived truth. This record exposes myself and the lies I have told myself and other’s. If I could accomplish one thing with this record, it would be to help one person in need. One person struggling with alcoholism, addiction, depression, anxiety, loss, guilt, shame, delusion, denial, perfectionism, co-dependency, suicidal thoughts and the list goes on. I am an open book, reach out to me with whatever you are struggling with, I have most likely been there.
We traverse the dark, we traverse the light, but by the end of the record we breathe. This is who I AM. This is who we are. I speak my mind, sometimes the shadow, sometimes my plight. If there is one word that can describe this record it is love. Not the facade, but the kind that cuts wood and carries water.
Like many fly fishermen in western Montana where the summer days are almost Arctic in length, I often do not start fishing until the cool of the evening. Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise. Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world’s great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of those rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I AM haunted by waters. — Norman McLean
My name is Justin and I AM an alcoholic, addict, and co-dependent. We are Toothgrinder and this is I AM.
I AM TRACK LISTING: “The Silence Of A Sleeping WASP” “ohmymy” “My Favorite Hurt” “No Tribe” “no surrender in The House Of Leaves” “shiVer” “The New Punk Rock” “too soft for the scene, TOO MEAN FOR THE GREEN” “Can Ü Live Today?” “The Fire Of June” “I AM”

As the debut single “Wouldn’t You Rather” continues to climb the Active Rock charts and on the heels of the recently-released, fan favorite “Pay No Mind,” Alter Bridge have unveiled another track from their upcoming releaseWalk The Sky (October 18th via Napalm Records).“Take The Crown” is now available on all digital service providers around the globe and an inspiring lyric video for the track can be seen here: https://youtu.be/YG3QxwA7i34.
The song, which is sure to be an addition to the band’s live
set, opens with the rallying cry lyric “So sorry, so sorry, but you’re going
down.” The song is quintessential Alter Bridge and showcases
the musicianship that has won Myles Kennedy on vocals/guitars, Mark Tremonti on
guitars/vocals, Brian Marshall on bass and Scott Phillips on drums, fans around
the globe.
For over 15 years, Alter Bridge has been a band known for blurring the line between hard rock and heavy metal. Recorded in a way never done before, the album was born from complete song ideas created by Kennedy and Tremonti.
These songs would then be worked on by the entire band to create the fourteen songs that would make Walk The Sky the listening experience it is. This varies from the band’s previous method going back to their sophomore release Blackbird where Kennedy and Tremonti would combine individual ideas and riffs alongside producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette to form some of the band’s most revered songs.
From the opening vocal melody on “One Life” to the moving finale of “Dying Light,” Alter Bridge have created a formidable addition to their music catalog. Songs like “Godspeed,” “Native Son” and “Walking On The Sky” are sure to be early additions to the live set. “Forever Falling” also marks a lead vocal return from Tremonti with Kennedy taking the chorus as done previously on the Fortress favorite “Waters Rising.” The debut single “Wouldn’t You Rather” currently sits in the Top 25 at Active Rock. The video for the single has been viewed over a million times and can be seen here: https://youtu.be/bAz1vYAwVKE.

Photos of Gojira at Knotfest Roadshow. All photos taken by Luke Spencer in St. Louis, MO on August 18th, 2019.
Gojira have become icons within the metal community but at the same time never get enough credit or praise. France’s heavy metal band have stormed through Europe and the US many trips over and every time I see them, they impress me that much more.
This was the second time I had seen Gojira perform live in 2019. The first was at Sonic Temple Festival where Christian was immolated to the metal gods on stage but continued on even after being burned by a stray pyro flame. I have to say I prefer the band members not on fire and safe to the alternative. They put on a better show that way.
Hearing songs like “Stranded” and “Toxic Garbage Island” get blasted to thousands is always mesmerizing. It’s rare that St. Louis gets to see Gojira in all their glory but Knotfest Roadshow was a special occasion and the Frenchmen delivered. As it has been several years since Magma, I think I can speak for many when I say that we are hoping for new Gojira music soon.
Setlist: Toxic Garbage Island Backbone The Heaviest Matter of the Universe Stranded Love The Cell Silvera The Gift of Guilt
Gojira will be continuing on the Knotfest Roadshow through the summer as well performing at Aftershock Festival later this year. You can find upcoming tour dates and more info on the band’s Facebook page here: Gojira on Facebook
ATREYU will celebrate 20 years of rock with an anniversary tour this fall. The tour features support from Whitechapel, He Is Legend, Tempting Fate, and Santa Cruz. The tour kicks off on October 19 in Las Vegas and runs through November 20 in Ventura, California. All dates are below.
“This year has been a huge one for Atreyu,” said drummer Brandon Saller. “Not only because of the beautiful support we have received for In Our Wake but also because this is our 20-year anniversary as a band. What better way to celebrate than with the reason we are all here…YOU. So here’s how it goes. 20 years. 20 songs. Chosen by YOU…the fans. This will be the longest Atreyu set ever and also the first time the fans get to choose. Let’s do this.”
“We are very blessed to be celebrating our 20th anniversary this year,’ singer Alex Varkatzas concours. “It’s been a long, rewarding road and we are not slowing down anytime soon. We would like the help of our friends and supporters in picking the set they will see on this upcoming coming run with Whitechapel. We owe so much to the wonderful people who support and connect with us. We are very excited for these shows.”
The deluxe version of Atreyu’s latest album In Our Wake is out now.

Killswitch Engage Release Incendiary New Clip For “The Signal Fire”
Video Features Both Current And Former Kse Singers Jesse Leach + Howard Jones Trading Vocals For The First Time In An Official Band Video
New Album Atonement Out Now On Metal Blade Records Hits #1 On Multiple Itunes Charts Around The Globe
Grammy-nominated and Gold-selling hard rock heavyweights Killswitch Engage have just released the video for the song “TheSignal Fire” from their new album Atonement, out now via Metal Blade Records. Current and former KsE singers Jesse Leach and Howard Jones trade vocals in this simple but electrifying performance clip.
Watch the video, directed by the band’s longtime collaborator Ian McFarland (The Godfathers of Hardcore, Meshuggah), here.
“This video is a demonstration of solidarity and
unity,” says Leach. “This is for the fans and this is our testimony
to all who see this video. In these times we live in, I believe this is an
important message — not just for us as a band and our fans but for all of
humanity. This is a call for compassion and understanding! There is strength in
unity.”
Leach continues, “The making of the video was a great
experience as well. Just all of us guys hanging out and having fun
together. Ian McFarland did a hell of a job capturing the vibe and energy
of our performances.”
“It was another silly day at the office,” says
Jones. “Good food, lots of wrestling talk, and hanging with the boys is a
great way to spend the day and get a little work done. Shout out to Ian
McFarland for making everything painless at the shoot. The day was all smiles —
with a hint of metal.”
KsE previously shared the new single “Unleashed.” Watch the visualizer here.
The band also shared the video for “I Am Broken Too.” Watch it here.
ABOUT KILLSWITCH ENGAGE: Killswitch Engage first shook the structure of heavy music upon climbing out of snowy industrialized Western Massachusetts in 1999. A musical outlier, the band pioneered a union of thrashed-out European guitar pyrotechnics, East Coast hardcore spirit, on-stage hijinks, and enlightened lyricism that set the pace for what the turn-of-the-century deemed heavy. 2002’s Alive Or Just Breathing became avowed as a definitive album, being named among “The Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of the Decade” by Decibel and celebrated by everyone from Metal Hammer to Revolver. Not only did they bust open the floodgates for dozens to follow, but they also garnered two GRAMMY®Award nominations in the category of “Best Metal Performance” in 2005 and 2014, respectively, and gold certifications for The End of Heartache [2004] and As Daylight Dies [2006].
The group landed three consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 with Killswitch Engage [2009], Disarm The Descent [2013], and their career high best bow at #6 with Incarnate [2016]. The latter two releases would also both capture #1 on the Top Rock Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. Their total streams have exceeded half-a-billion to date. Along the way, the band has shared stages with some of the biggest acts in the world and have sold out countless headline gigs in six continents across the globe.
