ABOUT THROUGH FIRE
The Omaha, NE quartet—Justin McCain [lead guitar, songwriter], Grant Joshua Kendrick [lead vocals], Kyle LeBlanc [bass], and Grant Brooks [drums]—fuses hard-hitting riffs, electronic provocations, and contagious melodies. As a result, this impactful, immediate, and infectious fusion defies categorization and incites energy as boundless as the style itself. Additionally, the approach transformed the quartet into a phenomenon with chart-topping radio successes and over 20 million Spotify streams and 48 million YouTube views in under two years.

They set the stage to take such action on their 2016 full-length debut, Breathe. Not only did the breakout single “Stronger” clock millions of streams and spend 26 weeks on Billboard’s Rock Charts, it also spent five weeks at #1 on Octane’s popular Big Uns Countdown. Proclaimed “Breakout Artist of the Year,” Sirius Octane named “Stronger” among the Top 3 songs of the year, placing them in a league of their own next to none other than Metallica and Highly Suspect. On iTunes, “Stronger” quickly went to #1 and outsold the bulk of bands in the Hard Rock and Heavy Metal genres. The single soundtracked various mixed martial arts matches for NBC Sports and the Stanley Cup Finals. It also served as the theme for WWE’s Backlash.

Their second single “Breathe” repeated this success, landing the band their first top 10 single at rock radio and then reaching #1 on Billboards Mainstream Rock Indicator Recurrent Chart.

Reclaiming the top spot, “Breathe” also ascended straight to #1 on Big Uns Countdown. As the band crisscrossed the country on tours with Seether, Fozzy, Nonpoint, Sick Puppies, Black Stone Cherry and performed at festivals such as Chicago Open Air, Louder Than Life, Sonic Boom, and Rock Fest, among many others, they amassed a fervent fan base which helped them continue to sell an impressive amount of singles.

ABOUT BRKN LOVE
Lines still stretch around the block at clubs, warehouses, and theaters on a nightly basis worldwide. Amplifiers still blare out of suburban garages everywhere. Guitars, drums, and bass still translate the emotion and energy of a generation better than anything. No matter what prevailing opinion may be, rock music still maintains its foothold just behind the pop culture curtain—as if in the wings waiting to return.
BRKN LOVE carry on this tradition, while evolving it. Toronto singer and guitarist Justin Benlolo envisions a fresh future for the genre on the band’s 2019 full-length debut for Spinefarm Records produced by Joel Hamilton [Highly Suspect, Pretty Lights].

“When I first thought about starting a band, it needed all of the elements of rock ‘n’ roll that I respond to—big guitars, big drums, and big vocals,” he explains. “I didn’t want it to be too complex. It had to be something everybody could digest in a short and sweet format. It’s alternative, but it’s also heavy. I try to get right to the point. There are so many of these kids still showing up to shows and moshing to real rock music. That’s refreshing. There’s still a place for something authentic. That’s what I want to provide.”

Born and raised in Canada, Justin cut his teeth by obsessing over the likes of Soundgarden and Led Zeppelin in his youth, while learning how to write music. With the advent of bands such as Royal Blood and Highly Suspect, he recognized the potential for a “different kind of band—that’s not too macho and slick, but edgy enough for the punks.” Justin started tracking demos for BRKN LOVE and shortly after determined that Joel Hamilton was the perfect producer. Joel responded to the tracks by inviting him to Brooklyn to record at Studio G. Together, they cut the 13 tracks that would comprise the album as the band landed a deal with Spinefarm Records after a New York showcase.

Recorded live to tape in the studio, the sound preserves “a raw, real, and alive” feeling in the riffing tempered by “relatable and emotional lyrics.”

Now, the first single “Shot Down” hinges on thick guitars before Justin’s howling takes hold. It seesaws between dirty blues verses and a skyscraping refrain as he chants, “Landslide, shaking the crowd…Shot down in the bottom of a valley!”
Written at the infamous Mate’s Studio in North Hollywood, CA, it captures all of the seedy, glorious grit of the San Fernando Valley.

“It’s got a lot of sexual innuendos,” he goes on. “On the contrary, it can be interpreted as a massive disaster song. There’s a landslide shaking the ground, and we’re in the middle of the valley. The world’s ending as we’re playing away. You could also interpret as about a girl.”

The airy harmonies and syncopated riffs of “I Can’t Lie” take dead aim at West Coast fakery and “friends who stabbed me in the back for no reason” with a hypnotic and heartfelt chorus. Everything culminates on “In Your Hands,” which slides from a clean intro towards a wall of fuzz and his most impressive vocal performance. The latter serves as “an ode to life that we’re going to ride the universe’s wave without worrying.”

In the end, BRKN LOVE represent a new era for rock music that’s as powerful as it is emotional.

ABOUT SAUL
SAUL is the result of a profound passion for music shared by brothers Blake and Zach Bedsaul. They always knew music would be their life and worked tirelessly to develop a sound that pushes the boundaries of modern rock music. SAUL places a great amount of focus on writing songs that mean something. Forming their sonic inspiration listening to bands like Tool, Pearl Jam, Nothing More, and Tesseract, the band went through a few lineup changes after high school, but the sound was starting to take shape. Blake and Zach had a vision and kept writing and working tirelessly until they brought that vision to life. That vision is a sound that is both modern and precise, but also chaotic and turbulent. Everyone shares the same passion and the music reflects their chemistry as a band.

SAUL is already gaining massive amounts of attention in their home state of Iowa and beyond. Bringing in new fans with every performance, you can hear the soul of the music and get lost in its timeless, aggressive, and haunting melodies.

ABOUT DEAD POSEY
A brew of rough-and-tumble guitars, melancholy lyrics, and femme fatale vocal invocations, Dead Posey casted a sonic spell that seduced as it scorched. The Los Angeles based band- vocalist/co-producer Danyell Souza and producer/multi-instrumentalist Tony F (formerly of EVE 6) – immediately enchanted on their debut EP Freak Show released in 2018.

While forming Dead Posey, the two tapped into an intense creative chemistry while quietly working in the studio for nearly a year to hone in on their sound rather than diving into the live show circuit. Beyond early acclaim from Huffington Post and more on their first ep they landed high-profile syncs everywhere from Fox’s Lucifer, MTV’s Teen Wolf, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, Macy’s, Sony Playstation and more.

Dead Posey is currently anticipating the release of their second EP as they continue to tour domestically and abroad.

TOM KEIFER Releases “Waiting On The Demons” Video Highlighting Awareness For Addiction, Depression, Mental Health

TOM KEIFER with #keiferband–Savannah Keifer, Tony Higbee, Billy Mercer, Kendra Chantelle, Jarred Pope, Kory Myers—has released the stirring concept lyric video for “Waiting On The Demons” from his highly anticipated album, RISE. It’s a poignant song about dealing with inner demons and personal issues.

“Demons come in many forms and are different for everybody,” KEIFER explains. “Young or old, we all face them at some point in life. They are the things that can take hold of our lives and prevent us from reaching our full potential and happiness. We as humans, have a tendency to put off or wait to take that first step toward healing. ‘Waiting On The Demons,’ simply stated, is a song about taking that step. Life is far too precious of a gift to wait. Be it addiction, depression, abuse, mental illness, grief… We hope that the ‘Waiting On The Demons’ video will inspire and empower anyone struggling in the dark to find the strength within to overcome. It’s also a reminder that if you can’t find the strength within yourself, there are many organizations and people in the world who can and want to help.”

“Waiting On The Demons” was written by TOM KEIFER and Savannah Keifer, and the video was produced and edited by Joshua J Smith. View the video now on Cleopatra Records’ YouTube page.

Released September 13 on Cleopatra Records, RISE is available on all formats at Orcd.co/TomKeiferRise, including CD (digipak), vinyl (in your choice of red, blue, or green) and digital. It quickly jumped into the Top 40 on Amazon’s “Best Seller” list within hours of its release, and debuted at #10 on Billboard’s “Hard Rock Album Sales” chart, #17 on the “Independent Albums” chart, #19 “Internet Albums” chart, #21 on the “Rock Album Sales” chart, #41 on the “Top Current Albums (Sales)” chart and #46 on the “Top Album Sales” chart.

Produced by TOM KEIFER, Savannah Keifer, and Kyle O’Connor, RISE scales renewed sonic heights. From the tasty slide work that stamps “Touching the Divine,” the nontraditionally arranged, heavy, dark jam of “Untitled,” the breakneck thrust of “All Amped Up” to the tender coda of “You Believe in Me,” RISE signifies the ongoing evolution of the former Cinderella frontman as a person, songwriter, and bandleader. It’s the aural portrait of an artist who, to borrow a phrase, is still climbing.

RISE was recently praised by KNAC.com as “…a return to form for KEIFER and company. RISE features a cross section of tunes that cull inspiration from NIGHT SONGS and LONG COLD WINTER with a potent, modern age punch that will please diehard and casual fans alike. There’s riffs a plenty, gritty, powerful vocals, and well-crafted ballads, making for a well-balanced listening experience…On RISE KEIFER is showing the kids and his contemporaries how it’s done. Well done KEIFER BAND. 5.0 Out Of 5.0” While Ink19.com hailed, ““In sum, with RISE, TOM KEIFER succeeds in proving (once again) to be an artist who knows no creative boundaries and remains in a league of his own.”

Three videos have already been released from the new album: “The Death Of Me” (written by KEIFER and his wife Savannah, and directed by Vicente Cordero), a lyric video for “Touching The Divine” (written by TOM and Savannah KEIFER, and Kendra Chantelle) and “Rise,” the title track (written by TOM KEIFER, Savannah Keifer with Keifer and Shawna Thompson of Thompson Square and directed by Vicente Cordero).

In touring news, TOM KEIFER and #keiferband have been on a vigorous trek ever since the 2013 release of his debut solo album, and they’re not slowing down anytime soon. Their current headlining tour began July 30 in Nashville, TN and continues through the end of 2019, with more shows being added in the coming weeks and already being planned for 2020.

Halestorm Celebrate On Stage At Aftershock | Photos

in Sacramento, CA on October 11th, 2019.

Jose Mangin from SiriusXM walked onto the Kolas stage to introduce Halestorm but it wasn’t the typical introduction. The man asked that the entire band walk out and take front and center in front of the Aftershock crowd in stead of the group taking the stage as normal.

It turned out that Jose had a birthday surprise for Lzzy Hale. Following the band was a birthday cake wishing the best to Lzzy and the band, which then led Jose to ask the crowd of tens of thousands to sing Happy Birthday to the iconic frontwoman. After the singing, Lzzy took to the mic and said “Thank you. No one ever sings to ME.”

I’ve been saying my praises of Halestorm live for years and have turned people onto the band who weren’t on board the hype train yet by telling everyone to see them live. They won over more fans at Aftershock. Whether it’s new material from the band’s latest album Vicious or their biggest songs like “Love Bites (So Do I)”, you are guaranteed to be wowed when you them perform. Do what it takes to see their show.

Setlist:
Do Not Disturb
Love Bites (So Do I)
I Get Off
Familiar Taste of Poison / Amen

Korn End Tour In A Big Way At Aftershock| Photos

in Sacramento, CA on October 13th, 2019.

It was a celebration for Korn in Sacramento. After a big year of touring with Alice In Chains and the release of the band’s thirteenth album The Nothing, the nu-metal icons closed out the Kolas stage on the final day of Aftershock festival to tens of thousands.

As dusty as Discovery Park might have been at sunset, the crowd did not appear to care as everyone lost it in the opening minute of “Blind”. Featuring songs throughout the years of Korn’s tenured career, Jonathan Davis and company had one of the best sets from the entire three day festival on Sunday night.

With many of the band’s friends and family watching from soundboard, it felt like a true celebration for the group and capping it off the right way. Closing out with “Falling Away From Me” as night had fallen during their set, Korn reminded everyone why they are band now 25 years into a career that is still storming on.

Korn will be heading overseas next year for European festivals. You can keep up to date with the band on their official Facebook page here: Korn on Facebook

Saint Asonia Share New Song “This August Day”

Saint Asonia Share Intensly Personal New Song
“This August Day”. Listen here.

New Album Flawed Design Out October 25th

“Two years ago this August, I went through the single most trying time of my life,” says singer Adam Gontier about the intensely personal track. “I had gone to a very, very dark place, and, to be honest, I didn’t know if I would make it back. Not only me, but people who know me and love me didn’t know if I’d ever be back. After a long and very difficult relapse with alcohol and substance abuse, and with the help of some very close family and loving friends, I found myself at a treatment center in Nashville. Not only that, but I found myself in an emergency room, hanging onto life by a thread.

“At that exact moment, on the other side of the continent, my life was changing in the best possible way. My son was being born. Not being physically present the day my son came into this world is something I will look back on and regret for the rest of my life. Albeit I didn’t have a choice. For me, to be the father, the son, the brother, the husband, and the person I want to be, I had to go through that darkness, to finally live in the light. ‘This August Day’ is about all of that. It’s about that one day in August that completely changed me — forever.”

The band previously dropped new video for “The Hunted,” featuring Godsmack’s Sully Erna. Watch it here.

The band will release their Spinefarm Records debut Flawed Design on October 25. To herald the release, the band has also dropped the new track “Beast.” Exclusive pre-order bundles are available here.

ABOUT SAINT ASONIA:Saint Asonia – named Loudwire’s Best New Artist of 2015 –sparked into life four years ago when former Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier and Staind guitarist/founding member Mike Mushok decided to turn their joint ambition to make music that is “raw, real, and straight from our hearts” into a new band and a fully-fledged studio outing. The result was their acclaimed self-titled debut, released in 2015, which charted Top 10 in Canada and entered the Billboard U.S. Rock Albums chart at #2. The album was driven by the Top 10 radio tracks “Better Place” and “Let Me Live My Life,” as well as the high-concept video to the featured track “Fairy Tale.”

Collectively responsible for 28 Top 10 U.S. Rock Radio hits, including 17 #1s — the demand was immediately there for Saint Asonia to take to the road. Following an inaugural main stage appearance at Rock on the Range in 2015, the band set off on U.S. amphitheater tours with Breaking Benjamin and Disturbed and will follow the release of Flawed Design with an extensive tour schedule which will be announced shortly.

Aftershock Wraps Up Three Day Festival With Crowd of 97,000+

Aftershock Festival wrapped up a rocking weekend in Sacramento, CA. The sold out festival, with 97,500 total tickets sold, took place October 11-13 at Discovery Park for its 8th year. Rock fans from all over flocked to the park to take part in all the madness.

For the first time, Aftershock took place over the course of three days, as opposed to the scheduled two days in previous years. The strong and intense lineup included headliners Slipknot, Blink-182, and Tool, as well as other powerhouse acts, such as Lamb of God, Rob Zombie, Korn, Marilyn Manson, and many others. Each day of the festival was bursting with performances, ranging anywhere from A Day to Remember, to Dropkick Murphys, to BABYMETAL, offering enough variety for everyone.

The weather was exceptionally perfect, going from warm afternoons to chilly evenings. Unlike at Louder Than Life, another DWP festival that took place only two weeks prior where the Kentucky humidity was suffocating, the California heat was not at all unbearable. Only one issue arose for festival goers, which was the amount of dust kicked up by the multitudes of feet trampling the park grounds. Unfortunately, that’s just how the park is; attendees, for the most part, were aware of this and brought face masks to block out inhaling any extra dust.

Aside from music, the festival provided countless food and drink options, such as Dippin Dots, Mac Attack, Angry Bird Grill, and the always popular Island Noodles. Other vendors, such as Zippo, Take Me Home, Monster Energy Experience, and the Caduceus Wine Garden were also ready and waiting for concert goers. There was even a section of vendors called “The Green House” dedicated entirely to cannabis.

As the last of the DWP festivals for 2019, Aftershock ended the season on the right note. With the announcement of Metallica performing at numerous DWP festivals in 2020, rock fans everywhere are waiting with anticipation for the next festival season to begin.

Dead Posey Open The Main Stage At Aftershock | Photos

Photos of Dead Posey at Aftershock.
All photos taken by Luke Spencer
in Sacramento, CA on October 12th, 2019.

Two weeks before Aftershock I was introduced to Dead Posey and from the first few songs I heard live, it felt like something special. Now that I’ve seen the band open the main stage at one of the biggest festivals in the nation, it reinforced my belief that this is a band people should not be sleeping on.

Dead Posey is a group from Los Angeles consisting of Danyell Souza and Tony F. In there sound is a gritty, raw rock and roll style with plenty of deep reverb and tone resonating throughout their music. It’s not about gimmicks or onstage antics, it’s about the sound. In that delivery is something almost hypnotic that latches onto anyone who hears them.

The group will be heading overseas later this year and are hoping to have a new EP out by the end of 2019, with a potential album in 2020 if things pan out. You can hear Danyell and Tony discuss future plans more in an interview after there set by scrolling below.
