Lorna Shore Releases “Death Portrait” From Upcoming Album “Immortal”

Lorna Shore Releases New Single “Death Portrait”
From Upcoming Album “Immortal”
Out January 31 On Century Media Records

The Lorna Shore forthcoming album, “Immortal”, due for a worldwide release on January 31 2020 through Century Media Records, is nothing short of a shock of blackened, symphonic ambitions and epic intents.

Austin Archey (drums) says: “’Death Portrait’ unveils the intensity and emotion we put behind this entire new record. Paired with a live video featuring footage from our first U.S. headliner, I believe this gives the listener a proper journey through the darkness that was used to create ‘Immortal’ as a whole “ Formed in 2010, LORNA SHORE were quick to surpass “local band” expectations with 2012’s “Bone Kingdom” EP and its follow-up, 2013’s “Malificium” EP. Through each release, LORNA SHORE continues to prove themselves to be an increasingly formidable force and a ferocious live proposition. The 2017 sophomore LP “Flesh Coffin” showed a band that had moved beyond mere “deathcore” trappings and had evolved into a modern metal band, as uncompromising and accomplished as any of their contemporaries or influences. “We became the band we wanted to be, rather than just the product of our early influences,” says guitarist Adam De Micco“’Immortal’ is the latest chapter of that story of us as a band, as players and as people.”

Armed with new vocalist C.J. McCreery (ex-Signs of the Swarm), LORNA SHORE has made a record that stands apart from their earlier works. The earliest hints of that have come with the release of album tracks, “This Is Hell” and “Darkest Spawn,” twin deathly salvos released from LORNA SHORE’s early album sessions with producer Josh Schroeder (Battlecross, King 810, For Today) at Random Awesome Studios in Midland, MI.

Recording for the album “Immortal” is the beginning of another chapter for LORNA SHORE and is available in the following formats:
CD Jewelcase, LP+CD, Digital Album.

The album will also be released on vinyl, including these special editions:
200x clear via CM Distro
200x mint green via Impericon
200x dark green via EMP
For the exclusive North American release, the vinyl edition will be a neon yellow LP

Ozzy Osbourne Releases New Song “Under The Graveyard”

Ozzy Osbourne Releases “Under The Graveyard”
First Single In Nearly 10 Years
From Forthcoming Album Ordinary Man

“This is quite possibly the most important album I have done in a very long time, probably since No More Tears.”–Ozzy Osbourne

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter OZZY OSBOURNE today (November 8) has released “Under The Graveyard,” his first new solo music in almost 10 years. A massive ballad that builds into a searing rocker, it’s the first single from OZZY‘s forthcoming album, ORDINARY MAN, due out on Epic Records in early 2020. Listen to the song here

“This album was a gift from my higher power–it is proof to me that you should never give up,” OZZY says.

Recorded in Los Angeles, the album features producer Andrew Watt on guitars, Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses) on bass and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) on drums. “It all started when [his daughter] Kelly comes in and says ‘do you want to work on a Post Malone song?'” OZZY explains. “My first thing was ‘who the fuck is Post Malone?!’ I went to Andrew’s [Watt] house and he said we will work really quick. After we finished that song, he said ‘would you be interested in starting an album.’ I said ‘that would be fucking great, but now I am thinking I don’t want to be working in a basement studio for six months! And in just a short time, we had the album done. Duff [McKagan] and Chad [Smith] came in and we would go in and jam during the day and I would go work out the songs in the evenings. I previously had said to Sharon I should be doing an album, but in the back of my mind I was going ‘I haven’t got the fucking strength…’ but Andrew pulled it out of me. I really hope people listen to it and enjoy it, because I put my heart and soul into this album.”

A Day To Remember Unite Degenerates In Virginia | Photos

Photos of A Day To Remember at EagleBank Arena
All photos taken by Gretchen Smither
in Fairfax, VA on November 3rd, 2019.

Although it was A Day to Remember performing at the EagleBank Arena on Sunday, November 3, it was most certainly a night to remember. Before this Florida rock band could even take the stage, fans all over the arena were on their feet, screaming at the top of their lungs and throwing fists high in the air.

The scene was memorable, to say the least. It wasn’t long before the sounds of Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What” started echoing through the venue, signaling the band would be taking the stage soon. A large curtain kept the stage out of sight until the first notes of “The Downfall of Us All” blared and the voice of Jeremy McKinnon shouting “Let’s go!” reverberated through the soundboard. Complete with fireworks, the curtain dropped to reveal the already energized band. Crowd surfers had already started making their way to the front before ADTR could even make it through one song.

As someone who had never seen ADTR live, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect from the night’s performance. With their mix of metalcore and pop-punk, the band made sure to provide fans with a wide variety of songs from their discography, including their recent singles “Degenerates” from their upcoming album You’re Welcome, as well as “Rescue Me,” their collab single with iconic EDM producer, Marshmello. I personally have had “All I Want” on repeat since the show.

Nothing about this performance was lacking. The energy levels from the band fed into the crowd, making the evening an exhausting one, but one that was oh-so worth it. The mosh pits that formed were some of the most intense ones I’ve witnessed. Even as fans were getting knocked around by moshers and crowd surfers, they would brush it off and jump right back into the fray. Even those who were less about the pit scene and had seat tickets were up on their feet, jumping to the music’s beat. The night (or rather, day) was one to remember for sure. Plus, who doesn’t love a show that includes fireworks, confetti, pyro, and streamers?

The “Degenerates” tour continues through November 23, where it wraps up in Fayetteville, NC at The Crown Theater.  You can find tour dates and more info on the band’s Facebook page here: A Day To Remember on Facebook
