Sum 41 Enters Top 40 Active Rock Chart With “Never There”

“Never There” from Sum 41
Debuts In Top 40
On Active Rock Chart

Sum 41 are celebrating another Top 40 Active Rock Chart add with recent single “Never There.” The emotionally charged ballad was released earlier this Fall to incredible reception from fans and press alike. Dedicated to single parents everywhere, the song is a personal letter from lead singer Deryck Whibley. “Never There” is one of the band’s heaviest songs to date, but in an entirely different way. Fans can watch the music video for “Never There” now at http://smarturl.it/NeverThereVideo.

“I never wanted to write this song, it just kind of poured out of me”, said Whibley. “I tried to fight it at first but there was no stopping it. I could tell I was writing about my dad, who I’ve never met and throughout my life it has always been a subject that I don’t really think about or care about. It has never really bothered me and when I started thinking about why it never bothered me, I realized it was because my mum was so great and I have such a loving relationship with her. She was so strong as a single mother for my whole life that I never needed to think about my dad.”

“Never There”is taken from the band’s most recent release Order In Decline, which dropped in July via Hopeless Records. The album secured the#2 spots on both the Current Rock and Hard Music Album, #3 on both the Alternative and Record Label Independent and #8 on the Top Current Albums charts here in the US. Order In Decline is available to stream and purchase today via Hopeless Records at http://smarturl.it/OrderInDecline.

The band kicked off the Order In Decline World Tour last month with The Amity Affliction and The Plot In You while making appearances at festivals like Menace in Minneapolis, Aftershock Festival, Louder Than Life Festival and The 27th Annual Halloween Howler. Sum 41 is currently on the road in their home country of Canada with The Offspring and Dinosaur Pile-Up and will be coming back to the States next month to round out a very busy 2019 touring season. A full list of upcoming tour dates is below with all tickets and more information available at http://www.sum41.com/

I Prevail Nominated For Two Grammy Awards

I Prevail Nominated
For Two 2020 Grammy Awards
For Best Rock Album Trauma
and Best Metal Performance “Bow Down”

Capping off a banner year highlighted by over 100 million streams, sold-out headline shows, a Top 15 debut on the Top 200, and acclaim from Billboard and more, rock music’s biggest breakout band I Prevail garner their first-ever GRAMMY® Award nominations. The band garnered two nominations this year in the categories of Best Rock Album for Trauma and for Best Metal Performance for “Bow Down.”

The 62nd Annual GRAMMY® Awards broadcast on CBS Sunday January 26, 2020.

“Bow Down” stands out as the lead single from the group’s critically acclaimed second full-length, Trauma—out now via Fearless Records

This milestone further affirms the platinum-certified Detroit quartet as 2019’s biggest breakthrough rock band, inching its way towards mainstream domination. The group sold out its largest headline tour to date in the Spring and Summer and currently serves as direct support to A Day To Remember in arenas across the country on the Degenerates Tour. The band opened up about the story behind Trauma in a deep Billboard article. Plus, Loudwire named it among the “Best Rock Albums of 2019…So Far.” These accolades and more position the record as a favorite for year-end lists.

The videos for “Bow Down,” “Breaking Down,” “Hurricane,” and “Gasoline” have accumulated almost 25 million combined views.

The story of I Prevail hits even harder than the music. They took a mental health breakdown, turned it into a powerful body of work, and made an audience connection online and I.R.L. on par with that of a pop or hip-hop act. These numbers—100 million streams and 100 million views and a Top 15 debut on the Billboard Top 200—remain unprecedented for rock. Trauma shocked the system quietly and continues to do so.

I PREVAIL ON TOUR:
WITH A DAY TO REMEMBER + BEARTOOTH:

11/21 — Duluth, GA — Infinite Energy Center
11/22 — Nashville, TN — Nashville Municipal Auditorium
11/23 — Fayetteville, NC— Crown Coliseum

I PREVAIL ARE:
Brian Burkheiser [clean vocals]
Eric Vanlerberghe [harsh vocals]
Steve Menoian [lead guitar]
Dylan Bowman [rhythm guitar]

ABOUT I PREVAIL:
Gold-certified Michigan quartet I Prevail refashion, re-up, and recharge rock music on their anxiously awaited 2019 sophomore offering, Trauma [Fearless Records]. If anybody can elevate the genre to mainstream ubiquity once more, it’s this band. Since their 2014 arrival, they set a precedent to catalyze rock’s evolution. The band put up astounding numbers rarely synonymous with the genre or their peers, for that matter. Nearing half-a-billion streams and 115 million YouTube views, they moved over 500,000 albums worldwide, notched three #1 singles on SiriusXM Octane, and played 500-plus shows in just three years. Not to mention, they achieved a gold single in the form of their take on Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” from the Heart Vs. Mind EP. On the mega-anticipated 2019 offering Trauma, they uplift rock to a plateau where soundscapes can unpredictably toss and turn between heavy metal, alternative, hip-hop, and electronic moods without warning, boundaries, or rules. Meanwhile, the lyrics team with confessional emotionality as if ripped from the pages of a secret diary. Vulnerable, vital, and visceral, the 15-track opus illuminates the future, and it’s as bright and bold as the singles “Breaking Down” and “Bow Down.” Rock may never be the same after this Trauma.

Apocalyptica Announce North American Dates For 2020 “Cell-0 World Tour”

Today, Finland’s multi-Platinum cello-rock band Apocalyptica – classically-trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Perttu Kivilaakso, and Paavo Lötjönen, and drummer Mikko Sirén – announces the Spring 2020 North American leg of the “Cell-0 World Tour.”   This tour leg will launch on Sunday, May 3 in Orlando, FL, and see the band performing in 20 cities over a three-week period wrapping up on May 26 in Boston, MA.  With a set list that will likely vary night to night, Apocalyptica’s performances will be comprised of new songs from Cell-0 as well as the band’s rich catalogue.  Lacuna Coil will support on all dates.  Ticket pre-sales and access to VIP packages begin tomorrow, November 20 at 10AM (local); public on-sale starts Friday, November 22 at 10AM (local).  Go to https://www.apocalyptica.com for all pre-sales, VIP packages, and ticketing  details.

In concert, Apocalyptica is known for its moving and bombastic live performances with sparse production but an abundance of head banging.   Anyone who might think that there wouldn’t be a deluge of excitement with three cellists should think again…these are symphonic rock stars who know how to shred their bows.

These tour dates are in support of the band’s new album Cell-0, set for a January 10 release (Silver Lining Music).  Produced by Apocalyptica, mixed by Andrew Sheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lana Del Rey, Metallica and Black Sabbath), and recorded at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki, the recording of Cell-0followed a four-year break between albums that gave the band a fresh perspective and affected the way they approached the new music.  Cell-0is the quartet’s first instrumental album in 17 years and found the musicians challenging themselves to discover new flavors and colors in their respective instruments.  For pre-order options, go to this location.  View the band’s new music videos, “Ashes Of The Modern World” and Rise” here.

Dirty Honey Announces “Rolling 7s” 2020 US Tour Dates

Having commanded the #1 spot at Rock Radio with its debut single “When I’m Gone,” and its sophomore track “Rolling 7s” already a Top 30 track at Active Rock Radio, the blazing-hot rock band Dirty Honey announces the first leg of its 2020 “Rolling 7s” U.S. tour. The 25-date, coast-to-coast trek kicks off January 17 in Austin, TX at The Parish and wraps up six weeks later in Los Angeles at the El Rey Theatre on February 28. Hotly-tipped UK rock outfit The Amazons will open on all dates.

VIP packages go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday, November 20 at 10AM (local); tickets go on sale to the public this Friday, November 22 at 10AM (local); go to https://www.dirtyhoney.com for all VIP, pre-sale and additional ticketing information.

Dirty Honey celebrated the breakout success of its song ‘When I’m Gone’ with a performance rich in both riffs and rock-star vibes.” — Rolling Stone/Exit 111

To call 2019 a “breakout year” for Dirty Honey – Marc LaBelle/vocals, John Notto/guitars, Justin Smolian/bass and drummer Corey Coverstone – would be an understatement. Over the course of the past year, Dirty Honey has opened for The Who, Guns N’ Roses, and Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, been named Canadian Rock Radio’s #1 International Breakout Artist of 2019, made history as the only unsigned artist in Billboard’s near four-decade history to hit #1 on the magazine’s Mainstream Rock Chart, been chosen as iHeart Radio’s “On The Verge” rock artist, and racked up more than 10-million total streams.

“It didn’t take the crowd very long to realize they were seeing stars in the making.” — Down South Magazine

The “Rolling 7s” tour is in support of Dirty Honey’s self-titled debut EP that was recorded last Fall by producer Nick DiDia (Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine) at his studio in Byron Bay, Australia. The band is currently on its first-ever U.S. headline tour, playing to SRO houses every night. This tour wraps up this Friday, November 22 with a sold-out show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles.

“A rock band can fake it in the studio. A rock band can fake it on the Net. But a real rock band can’t fake it where it counts the most – on stage. That’s “sink or swim’ territory, baby. And Dirty Honey proves to certainly be the real deal onstage – oozing the authentic spirit of rock and roll with the greatest of ease.” — Ink 19

EMAROSA Release New Song “Ready to Love”

Emarosa have released “Ready To Love,” a song that frontman Bradley Walden told Billboard is about “that bite that’s too hot. You know it’ll hurt, you know it’s not ready, but it takes the pain to learn your lesson” – PRESS HERE to listen and PRESS HERE to read the first listen of the song over at Billboard.

Their first single since the release of Peach Club, “Ready To Love” continues the path Emarosa traveled with Peach Club to put their scuzzed-up riffing in the rearview mirror. Juxtaposing subtle riffs and glittering hooks with candid and heavy-handed storytelling, Peach Club is weaved together with spirited chimes, synths and infectiously danceable bass riffs.

Speaking of Peach Club, starting in November, Walden and the boys bring their atmospheric album of dreamy dance floor bops, including “Get Back Up,” “Cautious,” “Givin’ Up,” and “Don’t Cry,” on the road in its entirety. “We’re performing Peach Club front to back,” Walden said of the tour. “We’ve never done anything like this. It’ll be special.” Fans have responded to the tour emphatically, with all but four dates selling out prior to the tour’s launch on November 29th

You’ve experienced the cultural and musical experience of Knotfest. Now, for the first time ever, witness rock history when the Knotfest At Sea cruise sets sail. Here’s Clown with a teaser.

Slipknot returned to the top of the ‘Billboard Top 200’ in August with the debut of their new albumWE ARE NOT YOUR KIND, marking the GRAMMY® Award-winning group’s third consecutive #1 album on that chart. Furthermore, the album made an impact worldwide with #1 debuts in the United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, Australia, Canada, Japan, Russia Ireland, Belgium, Portugal and Finland, as well as Top 5 debuts in Germany, France, Norway, Italy, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Poland, Spain and New Zealand.

WE ARE NOT YOUR KIND is highlighted by the current single “Nero Forte”, “Solway Firth,” and the LP’s first single “Unsainted.” The latter two have come with an M. Shawn Crahan directed official music video, and each has trended worldwide on YouTube (all videos, not just music) – “Unsainted” at #1 worldwide for a full 24 hours. Combined, videos for the new album have amassed over 87.2 million views in only three months.

While WE ARE NOT YOUR KIND clearly resonated with rock fans on a massive global scale, it also tapped into universal demand for unapologetic and groundbreaking heavy rock across a diverse media landscape: NME called it “an astonishing record”, Forrbes called it “a Masterpiece”, The Fader proclaimed “Slipknot is a band whose music will always be relevant”, and Vice wrote “Slipknot have become a pop culture phenomenon.”.

Stay tuned for further information on Knotfest’s continuing global domination coming soon.

Ozzy Osbourne & Marilyn Manson To Tour In 2020

Ozzy Osbourne To Be Joined By Marilyn Manson
For Rescheduled 2020 North American Dates

When OZZY OSBOURNE relaunches his “NO MORE TOURS 2” in 2020, he’ll be joined by special guest Marilyn Manson for the North American shows. These dates are OZZY‘s first shows since he announced earlier this year that all his 2019 performances would be postponed allowing him to heal from an injury sustained while dealing with pneumonia.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter and 2019 Grammy® Special Merit Award recipient fell at his Los Angeles home and trapped his spine aggravating years-old injuries (from his 2003 ATV accident) that required surgery.   The “NO MORE TOURS 2” kicks off May 27 in Atlanta and concludes July 31 in Las Vegas.

Next up, OSBOURNE will head overseas in October for the rescheduled European dates; Judas Priest will remain as support on the tour as part of their “JP/50 Heavy Metal Years” anniversary tour. “Marilyn is killer live,” OZZY says. “He’s so f****** out there, and if I think that, then look out, we’re all fucked. “I’ve toured with Ozzy many times and it’s always been f****** spectacular,” says Marilyn Manson. “I’m honored to do it again. This is one not to miss.” OZZY‘s 2020 dates are below:

Caspian, the symphonic Massachusetts-based band who have been dubbed “the most regal of the instrumental new rock school” (Pitchfork) and post-rock cosmonauts (Spin), return with their first album in over four years, releasing On Circles on Jan. 24 via Triple Crown Records.

The band gives fans an early preview of the eight-song, 46-minute album, streaming the song “Flowers of Light” (http://smarturl.it/caspiantheband). Pre-orders, which include a highly limited 180 gram black vinyl variation as well as a green/blue offering, are available now via the Triple Crown Records’ webstore (https://store.triplecrownrecords.com/oncircles).

“I’ve grown weary of reading about bands discuss the renewing, rehabilitative properties their most recent [album] has had on them,” says guitarist/keyboardist Philip Jamieson of the mindset the band had going into recording On Circles. “They incur corrosion, come close to running out of gas, descend into the dark abyss, and finally emerge on the other side with a record that has given them crystal clear perspective and a confident path forward. On Circles is not that record.”

Instead, this majestic collision of post-rock, metal, shoegaze, electronics, noise, minimalism and ambient music is an existential meditation, an acceptance of the cyclical nature of both life and career. Recorded at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, Pa., by producer Will Yip (Code Orange, Defeater, Quicksand, Turnstile), On Circles marks the most organic writing and recording sessions in Caspian’s 15-year history. Together for four weeklong songwriting sessions, the band opted for music gleaming with visceral impact instead of over-thought tangles, over-arching concepts and drawn-out crescendos.

The news of On Circles’ impending release finds Caspian preparing for the most extensive touring the sextet has done in recent years: heading to China in December, followed by the band’s first visit to Western North America in three years and a newly announced swing down the east coast.
