TOOL Announces Spring 2020 Tour Dates Following Sold Out Australasian Tour
TOOL, who recently took home the GRAMMY Award® for Best Metal Performance for the song “7empest,” has added an extensive Spring tour for North America.
The tour news arrives as the Los Angeles-based band wraps up a sold out Australasian tour, with the final two shows of the trek, back-to-back sold out performances at Auckland’s Spark Arena, happening later this week. The Sydney Morning Herald described the live offering as “an immersive art-rock experience that forced you to feel a little of everything. It was an intricate collage of light, sound and imagery.” The Fear Inoculum tour, which has seen the band performing in some cities for the first time in over a decade, has received widespread accolades with the Los Angeles Times calling it “impeccable,” the Chicago Tribune describing the performances as a “twisting multimedia rollercoaster of a concert” and The Arizona Republic describing the shows as “a visually breathtaking night of dystopian art-rock spectacle.”
The newly announced TOOL tour dates are: April 16 Miami, FL American Airlines Arena April 17 Orlando, FL Amway Center April 19 Tampa, FL Amalie Arena April 21 Charlotte, NC Spectrum Center April 22 Charlottesville, VA John Paul Jones Arena April 24 Baltimore, MD Royal Farms Arena April 25 Uniondale, NY Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum April 28 Montreal, QC Bell Centre April 29 Quebec City, QC Videotron Centre May 1 Wilkes Barre, PA Mohegan Sun Arena May 2 Buffalo, NY KeyBank Centre May 4 Toledo, OH Huntington Center May 5 Grand Rapids, MI Van Andel Arena May 29 Tacoma, WA Tacoma Dome May 31 Vancouver, BC Rogers Arena June 2 Edmonton, AB Rogers Place June 4 Winnipeg, MB Bell MTS Place June 6 Minneapolis, MN Target Center June 7 Sioux Falls, SD Denny Sanford Premier Center June 9 Madison, WI Kohl Center June 10 Moline, IL TaxSlayer Center June 12 Manchester, TN Bonnaroo Festival June 13 St. Louis, MO Enterprise Center June 16 Wichita, KS INTRUST Bank Arena June 17 Oklahoma City, OK Chesapeake Energy Center June 19 Colorado Springs, CO Broadmoor World Arena June 22 Sacramento, CA Golden 1 Center June 23 San Francisco, CA Chase Center

Fear Inoculum (http://smarturl.it/TOOLFIa) arrived on Aug. 30 following years of anticipation. The album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200, shattering sales and radio records while also earning widespread critical praise. NPR said, “Fear Inoculum was worth the 13-year wait,” The Atlantic declared the release “precise and devastating,” Revolver dubbed the 10-track album “a masterpiece that will be dissected for years to come” and Consequence of Sound said Fear Inoculum finds “TOOL in peak performance.”
One of heavy metal’s all-time greats, Judas Priest will be celebrating their 50th anniversary this year with a world tour coming to the US in the fall.
The 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour will also feature Sabaton as openers and is being fueled by the highest charting album of Priest’s career ‘Firepower’ which peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200.
“Judas Priest are primed and ready to deliver the goods with our 50 Heavy Metal Years anniversary celebration stage show spectacular! Performing a blistering cross section of songs from our lives in metal – we can’t wait to raise horns with you again at this once in a metal lifetime event!” – Judas Priest
Judas Priest originally formed in 1970 in Birmingham, England (an area that many feel birthed heavy metal). The original nucleus of musicians – Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, KK Downing & Ian Hill (along with several different drummers over the years) would go on to change the face of heavy metal. Throughout the 70’s Priest were responsible for helping trail blaze metal with such classic offerings as ‘Sad Wings of Destiny’ (1976) ‘Sin After Sin’ (1977) and ‘Hell Bent for Leather’ (1978) as well as one of the genre’s top live recordings ‘Unleashed in the East’ (1979) among others.
But it was during the 80’s that Priest conquered the world, becoming a global arena headliner on the strength of such all-time classics as ‘British Steel’ (1980) and ‘Screaming for Vengeance’ (1982), as well as being one of the first metal bands to be embraced by the then-burgeoning MTV, plus performing at some of the decades biggest concerts (1980’s Monsters of Rock, 1983’s US Festival, and 1985’s Live Aid) and being the first to exclusively wear leather and studs – a look that began during this era and would eventually be embraced by metal heads throughout the world. Priest’s success continued throughout the 90’s and beyond with the addition of drummer Scott Travis, as evidenced by such additional stellar offerings as ‘Painkiller’ (1990) ‘Angel of Retribution’ (2005) and ‘A Touch of Evil: Live’ (2009) the latter of which saw Priest win a Grammy Award for a killer rendition of the classic ‘Dissident Aggressor’
In 2011 new guitarist Richie Faulkner came in to replace the previous guitarist who had left in 2010 – the move seemed to have reinvigorated the band, as evidenced by a show-stealing performance on the ‘American Idol’ TV program that also served as Faulkner’s debut performance with the band (also in 2011 was the release of a new compilation ‘The Chosen Few’ which included Priest classics selected by some of metal’s biggest names) and the ‘Epitaph’ concert DVD in 2013.
Priest’s next studio effort would arrive in 2014 ‘Redeemer of Souls’ which was supported by another strong tour.
In 2017 (and again in 2019) Judas Priest received a nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and got ready to unleash their latest studio album ‘Firepower’ (produced by Andy Sneap and Tom Allom) which received global success and critical acclaim.
Few rock or metal acts remain as much of a must-see live attraction as Judas Priest. And the forthcoming 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour will undoubtedly drive this point home.

Chicago five-piece, Knuckle Puck, have released their new single, “Tune You Out,” today. Produced by Seth Henderson (State Champs, Real Friends) and mixed by Vince Ratti (The Wonder Years, Title Fight, The Menzingers), the song is a cathartic yet upbeat track, saturated with punchy guitar riffs and a massive, addictive chorus. According to Nick Casasanto(guitar/vocals), “Tune You Out” is about “giving yourself and others the appropriate time and space to grow.” Listen to the single on all DSPs HERE, and watch the visualizer below:
Knuckle Puck spent almost all of 2019 off the road working on their highly-anticipated third full-length studio album for Rise Records, which serves as a follow up to their beloved previous LPs, 2017’s Shapeshifter and 2015’s Copacetic. Sacramento’s own Dance Gavin Dance have announced the release of their much-anticipated ninth full-length studio album, Afterburner, on Friday, April 24 via Rise Records. Produced by longtime collaborator Kris Crummett (Issues, Sleeping With Sirens, Mayday Parade) and Drew Fulk a.k.a. WZRD BLD (Lil Wayne, Motionless in White, Bad Wolves), the LP is a landmark mission statement for the band and encompasses DGD energy past, present, and future. It’s a killer and dynamic demonstration of what the five-piece does best, and is equal parts aggressive, melodic, and unrestrained. Pre-order the record HERE. In anticipation of Afterburner,DGD have also released “Prisoner,” the first single from the album. Listen HERE, and watch the official music video below:
According to Will Swan (lead guitar), “‘Prisoner’ is a captivating piece of the eclectic puzzle that is Afterburner. It showcases yet another leap in our constant evolution, and I can’t wait for people to hear what this album has in store.”
In celebration of the upcoming LP, Dance Gavin Dance will be heading out on a massive North American headline run next month, kicking off at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium on Thursday, March 12. This batch of shows follows their entirely sold out North American headliner in 2019, where the band sold over 90k tickets in one year alone.
At the end of the tour, DGD will return home to Sacramento for Swanfest, the one-day festival headlined and curated by the band. The event will take place on Saturday, April 25 at Papa Murphy’s Park. Labelmates Crown The Empire and Issues, along withAnimals As Leaders, Knocked Loose, Movements, Fall Of Troy, I See Stars, Veil Of Maya, Hail The Sun, Covet, Tillie, Royal Coda, Eidola, and Wolf & Bear will also join DGD on this year’s lineup. The first ever Swanfest took place last year at the City National Grove of Anaheim, CA, which proved to be a phenomenal sell-out success, a rare feat for a festival in its first year. “With last year’s Swanfest selling out in Southern California, it only made sense for us to bring this year’s show to our hometown in Sacramento. We are thrilled to have the chance to headline our biggest venue in the very city where it all began,” says Will Swan. Tickets and VIP packages for Swanfest 2020 are on sale now HERE.
Dance Gavin Dance will also head over to the U.K. in May for a performance at Slam Dunk Festival, followed by four headline shows across Europe. A full touring itinerary can be found below, and all tickets are available for purchase HERE.

A video album review on Ordinary Man, the twelfth solo studio album from the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne. Regardless of the generation, we all love Ozzy.
John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is an English singer, songwriter, actor, and television personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which he adopted the nickname “The Prince of Darkness”. Osbourne was fired from the band in 1979 due to alcohol and drug problems, but he went on to have a successful solo career, releasing eleven studio albums, the first seven of which were all awarded multi-platinum certifications in the United States. Osbourne has since reunited with Black Sabbath on several occasions. He rejoined the band in 1997 and helped record the group’s final studio album 13 (2013), before they embarked on a farewell tour which culminated in a final performance in their home city, Birmingham, England, in February 2017. His longevity and success have earned him the informal title of “Godfather of Heavy Metal“.
Ordinary Man is the upcoming twelfth studio album by English heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne. The album has a release date of 21 February 2020, with its ten-year gap being the longest between two albums from Osbourne to date. The first single off the album titled “Under the Graveyard” was released on 8 November 2019. Its second single is “Straight to Hell” and it was released on 22 November 2019. Its third single is the title track featuring singer Elton John and was released on 10 January 2020. #OzzyOsbourne #Ozzy #OrdinaryMan #PostMalone #EltonJohn #Rocked

We look forward to feasting again this Summer!” Devildriver frontman, Dez Fafara adds; “DevilDriver is extremely honored to be asked to play the first KnotFest At Sea cruise! We cannot wait to sail the high seas together with SLIPKNOT and this killer line-up of bands. So raise the Skull & Crossbones and prepare for a party at sea”.
SLIPKNOT continue to traverse the world to capacity crowds in support of their most recent No.1 album, WE ARE NOT YOUR KIND. Their live show continues to grow, filling ever bigger arenas and blowing minds around the world. Reviews of their current sold-out European arena tour are unanimous in their praise – Kerrang gave London’s O2 Arena show its highest rating, stating “there is no better metal band on earth than this.” Full dates and ticketing info on the band’s upcoming shows are available here.
The KNOTFEST brand continues to expand around the globe, with landmark events held in the US, Japan, Mexico and Colombia, as well as 2019’s debut collaboration with French destination festival, Hellfest for KNOTFEST MEETS HELLFEST. In additional new territory for 2020, the first ever KNOTFEST UK will take place at The National Bowl, Milton Keynes on August 22nd. The event will be headlined by SLIPKNOT, with line-up still to be announced.
WE ARE NOT YOUR KIND is highlighted by the current single ‘Nero Forte’, ‘Solway Firth,’ and the LP’s lead single, ‘Unsainted.’ The three tracks feature an M. Shawn Crahan-directed official music video, each of which trended worldwide on YouTube (all videos, not just music) upon release – ‘ Unsainted ’ at #1 worldwide for a full 24 hours.
