DELAIN Releases New Track & Video “Ghost House Heart”

While fans eagerly await DELAIN’s sixth full studio album, Apocalypse & Chill, scheduled for release on February 7, 2020, the band has generously offered a fourth single, “Ghost House Heart”. The track showcases the delightful diversity of DELAIN’s upcoming album – an offering that truly takes you on an amazing journey. In contrast to the bombast of “Masters of Destiny”, the epic highs of “Burning Bridges” and the cool modern vibes of “One Second”DELAIN takes it back to raw essence with the hauntingly beautiful “Ghost House Heart”, the first ballad to be released by DELAIN since “See Me In Shadows” from their debut album released in 2007.

Charlotte on “Ghost House Heart”:
“Going back to such an intimate song after the bombast of “Masters of Destiny” and “Burning Bridges” feels a bit like switching gears, but I enjoy every minute of it. Singing this song is almost meditative, and I love the way voice, piano and violin weave together in the track. I hope our fans will love this change of pace as well, and I can’t wait to perform this song live on stage during our upcoming UK tour, and our Valentine’s Day release show in Utrecht.”

Martijn on the creation of the new song:
“This song was created while spontaneously playing and singing together with Charlotte. It seemed to create itself. It’s also a nice change of pace in relation to the other songs we have written for the new album. As a pianist, of course it is fun to play a piano song for a change. We worked with violinist Shir-Ran Yinon and I think the way the violin intertwines with the vocal lines is mesmerizing. The video was a lot fun to make and it was a beautiful set with a lot of history.”

“Ghost House Heart” was filmed in the dead of winter at Woolton Hall in Liverpool, which was built in 1704 and left to decay for the last few decades. Woolton Hall’s alleged haunted halls provided the perfect backdrop for “Ghost House Heart”.

Musing feelings of loss, homesickness and hope, “Ghost House Heart” is sure to bury itself deep inside the heart of its listeners.

DELAIN’s newest full-length offering, Apocalypse & Chill, will hit the stores on February 7, 2020 via Napalm Records. The upcoming release explores topics of impending doom and human indifference, making this their boldest, most daring and undeniable offering yet. Brutal riffs, synth-heavy soundscapes and fully orchestrated compositions with vocalist Charlotte Wessels’ extraordinary vocal potency will enthrall the listener, while the new influences might surprise. Martijn Westerholt valorized the music and direction of the album not just as keyboard player but as producer. The broad soundscapes on Apocalypse & Chill range from anthemic rock to electronic metal and breaks all stereotypes, without losing the special DELAIN trademarked sound! Dance through the burning cities of ash with DELAIN!

Pre-Order Apocalypse & Chill NOW!

DELAIN on Apocalypse & Chill:
“We think Apocalypse & Chill will surprise our listeners. It is heavy with new influences and we’re really curious to find out how our audience will respond to that.”

COLONY HOUSE Album “Leave What’s Lost Behind” Out Now

Nashville indie rockers Colony House are thrilled to release their  studio album Leave What’s Lost Behind out today. The Nashville quartet stitch together a singular folklore between threads of stadium rock scope, alternative experimentation, and indie spirit, making a bold statement in the process. From a three part narrative that evokes American folklore to deeply personal tracks confronting faith, purpose, and the insecurities that exist inside it all, Colony House’s third album is an endeavor designed to be experienced in its entirety. PRESS HERE to listen or purchase album.

‘Leave What’s Lost Behind’ is a bit of an experiment. After a confusing season of trying to figure out what Colony House was supposed to sound like next, we put that on hold and began focusing on what Colony House wanted to communicate. We scrapped nearly everything we had written for the last couple of years and started from scratch. When all the voices, real or in your own head are silenced, an amazing new perspective takes shape. That empty space we call writer’s block quickly turns into a space bursting at the seams with new ideas and inspiration.– Caleb Chapman of Colony House

The band gave fans a first taste of the upcoming album with the release of their single “Original Material” as well as “Looking For Some Light.” Colony House recently released the music video for their single “Original Material.” Directed by Caleb Chapman of Colony House and Jon Steingard, the video set out to be a parody of themselves as a band trying too hard to be “original” only to realize it’s just not working out.

Colony House quietly steamrolled into the mainstream on their 2014 full-length debut, When I Was Younger, with its lead single “Silhouettes” becoming the #1 most-played track on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation for four consecutive months. In between constant touring and performances on Late Night with Seth MeyersCONAN, and Today, 2017’s Only The Lonely yielded fan favorites “You Know It” and “You & I.” After nearly two years of solid touring without recording, the musicians found themselves at a crossroads in 2018. They transitioned out of the major label system and went back to the beginning, to their roots.

Tying into the upcoming album, the band will embark on their 2020 Leave What’s Lost Behind Headline Tour. The band will hit major cities across the U.S. with special guest Tyson Motsenbocker. PRESS HERE for more details and to purchase tickets.

AWOLNATION Announce ‘Angel Miners & The Lightning Riders’; New Song “Mayday!! Fiesta Fever”

AWOLNATION is preparing to release the new album,
ANGEL MINERS & THE LIGHTNING RIDERS,
via Better Noise Music on April 24, 2020.

Pre-orders begin today for the full-length, which features the fastest-growing song at Alternative Radio – “The Best” and the more recent single, “California Halo Blue,” that singer / songwriter Aaron Bruno penned about the California fires that ravaged his studio and nearly his home as well.  The album features guest appearances from Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo and Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.  Ebert’s collaboration on the AWOLNATION single “Mayday!! Fiesta Fever” is out today.

Song and Pre-Order can be found HERE

“I was absolutely honored that an old friend of mine named Alex Ebert agreed to do a feature on this song.  He played in a band called Ima Robot and of course Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, and now he has his own solo project he’s doing, and he’s just an incredible artist,” says Bruno. He explains of “Mayday!! Fiesta Fever” “This track is kind of an old school throwdown party song. It was influenced by a feeling I’ve always had, which is that this [music] industry isn’t, and wasn’t for me, an easy place to get into or be accepted by. It felt like in some way I had to kick down the door to get in. So the song is an anthem of sorts for those of us who have never been invited to the cool party, or the exclusive club.  It has an energy and attitude that imagines the feeling of once you are able to crash inside that cool party, you just go wild and do stuff like spray paint the walls a little bit to disrupt things.”

The NHL’s biggest ‘party’ of the year – the 2020 Honda NHL ® All-Star Game – has invited Bruno to perform during the player introductions.  He will appear on the NBC telecast on 1/25/2020 from the Enterprise Center in St Louis, MO.

The band’s current single at Alternative Radio, “The Best,” just hit the Top 10 at the format.  Driven by strong fan engagement, the song is being featured at major market stations like ALT 92.3 in New York, ALT 98.7 in Los Angeles and 101 WKQX Chicago, among others.“The Best” is the band’s first Top 10 Alt Radio smash with Better Noise Music.  Label CEO Allen Kovac said of the track “If you liked ‘Sail’you’re going to love ‘The Best.’  It is sure to be a Grammy contender in 2021!”

Bruno, the songwriter and architect behind AWOLNATION, wrote and recorded one of the most influential songs of the previous decade with the chart-topping, record-breaking track “Sail.”The first single off the platinum Megalithic Symphony (2011), “Sail”is certified Diamond (10 million) and holds the record for the most weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by an independent artist, the second longest for any artist.  The debut album also produced the Gold certified “Not Your Fault” and two other Top 10 US singles.  AWOLNATION released the sophomore album Run in 2015 and 2018’s follow up Here Come The Runts. Across the span of 3 albums, AWOLNATION has notched seven Top 5 Alternative Radio hits, including two #1’s, and has accumulated millions of sales, downloads and over 1.5 billion streams globally. The music has been used in dozens of films, television shows and commercials around the world, and songs have been the genesis of viral sensations garnering hundreds of millions of streams and views across platforms like Instagram, Vine, TikTok, YouTube, etc.

Dirty Honey Unleashes Cover of Aerosmith’s “Last Child”

Dirty Honey, one of the hottest new bands in rock today, offer up a brand new Amazon Original, a soul-and-swagger-filled cover of Aerosmith’s “Last Child,” written by Steven Tyler and Brad Whitford and originally released on the iconic band’s 1976 album, Rocks. Click HERE to check out Dirty Honey’s cover version, available now only on Amazon Music.

Dirty Honey – Marc LaBelle/vocals, John Notto/guitars, Justin Smolian/bass and drummer Corey Coverstone – recorded the track on December 21 at the historic RCA Studio B in Nashville, TN, the same studio where The King of Rock & Roll himself, Elvis Presley, recorded more than 250 songs. Six-time Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, John Prine, and the Lady Gaga/”A Star Is Born” six-million selling “Always Remember Us This Way”) produced the track.  Fans can go HERE to check out the in-studio, behind-the-scenes video footage of the recording, as well as Labelle discussing the track, Dirty Honey’s connection to Aerosmith, and working with Cobb.

Said Labelle, “Aerosmith has been a huge influence on our band, and ‘Last Child’ is a staple in our live set, so to be tipping our hat to the band is really special.  Plus, we’re all big fans of the way Dave makes records.  He does it live, he tracks live, he does minimal overdubs, and we love that.  Our goal has always been to make music that has soul, that has a live feel, and has a performance element to it instead of perfectly in-tune vocals and perfectly played guitar solos.  That’s our philosophy for everything we do, we’re trying to capture performance, not perfection.”

Launched in September 2019, Amazon Music HD provides customers with the highest quality, with more than 50 million songs in High Definition, millions of songs in Ultra HD, and a growing catalog of 3D Audio.  Dirty Honey’s “Last Child” is available in Ultra HD, (better than CD quality), with a bit depth of 24 bits and a sample rate of 96 kHz.

Amazon Music listeners can find “Last Child” on the Rock Scene playlist  Customers can also simply ask, “Alexa play the Amazon Original by Dirty Honey” in the Amazon Music app for iOS and Android and on Alexa-enabled devices. In addition to “Last Child,” Amazon Music listeners can access hundreds of Amazon Originals featuring both emerging and established artists across numerous genres, available to stream and purchase only on Amazon Music.

To say that 2019 was a breakout year for Dirty Honey would be an understatement.  Recorded in Byron Bay, Australia with producer Nick DiDia (Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine), the band released its self-titled debut EP in March 2019.  Over the course of the year, Dirty Honey opened for The Who, Guns N’ Roses, and Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, performed at more than a dozen major summer festivals including Welcome to Rockville, Louder Than Life, Heavy MTL,  Rocklahoma, Sonic Temple and Epicenter, and played to SRO crowds at every show on its first-ever headline tour in December.  Dirty Honey also made music history when it became the only unsigned artist ever to hit #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart with its debut track “When I’m Gone.”  Additionally, the band was named Canadian Rock Radio’s #1 International Breakout Artist of 2019, Loudwire cited “When I’m Gone” as one of the “66 Best Songs of the Decade,” the UK’s Louder/Classic Rock magazine hailed Dirty Honey as one of the “20 great bands to shake up the 2020s,” and the band was just named a nominee as Best New Rock/Alternative Artist for the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards.  “Rolling 7s,” Dirty Honey’s sophomore single, is already a Top 20 track at Rock Radio, and the band has racked up more than 14.4-million total streams.
