See you all soon!”

ABOUT THE PRETTY RECKLESS: Since forming in 2009, The Pretty Reckless quietly made history, sold out shows, and fiercely claimed a place at the forefront of modern rock music. The group’s 2010 debut, Light Me Up, ignited this rise. However, 2014’s Going to Hell set the whole genre ablaze. It debuted in the Top 5 of the Billboard Top 200 and spawned three #1 hits—the gold-certified “Heaven Knows” (the biggest rock song of 2014), “Fucked Up World,” and “Follow Me Down” — a feat that had not been accomplished by a female-fronted group since The Pretenders in 1984. Their third opus Who You Selling For boasted a diverse set of standout tracks, including “Oh My God,” Back to the River,” and “Take Me Down.” It also garnered press praise from Vogue, Nylon, and Billboard. Along the way, the group toured with the likes of Soundgarden and Guns N’ Roses and tallied half-a-billion streams. They maintain their place as rock outliers and leaders in 2020.
STATIC-X Releases Official Video & First Single “HOLLOW”
PROJECT REGENERATION VOLUME 1 Out May 29th, 2020!
STATIC-X has released the first single “HOLLOW,” while announcing that their long Awaited, 7th Studio Album PROJECT REGENERATION will consist of more than 20 tracks, which will appear over 2 volumes, to be released separately, with Volume 1 releasing May 29th, 2020.
The track was premiered by Jose Mangin on Liquid Metal on Feb 6th, while the official video was premiered on Billboard and is available HERE and the album preordered online HERE. Visit https://static-X.com for exclusive merchandise and limited edition pre-order products.
PROJECT REGENERATION Volume 1 will feature 12 brand new STATIC-X tracks, containing many of the final vocal performances and musical compositions of Wayne Static, along with the original Wisconsin Death Trip lineup of bassist Tony Campos, drummer Ken Jay, and guitarist Koichi Fukuda.
Both volumes are being mixed by longtime STATIC-X producer Ulrich Wild.
“Today is a very exciting day, as we are finely releasing the first STATIC-X single and video in more than 10 years.” Says Tony Campos. “The band, our producers, and most importantly Wayne’s family are incredibly happy with the way that the album is turning out and we know that Wayne is looking down on us all with a big smile, as we begin sharing his final works with the world.”
“We have been working on allot of material over the last year and a half and while selecting the songs to move into the final mix phase, it became clear that there is just too much material and too little time for this to be a single album.” Says drummer Ken Jay.
“The last thing that we wanted to do was make the fans wait any longer.” Adds Tony Campos. “We also didn’t want to abandon the remaining material, because it is very close to being complete and we know that the fans are going to want to be able to hear and experience all of it. We also recognize that all of this music is part of the same body of work, which marks this very important chapter of STATIC-X, so it is only logical to release all of the music under the same banner, PROJECT REGENERATION.”
The vocals for the song HOLLOW were originally recorded in 2005 for the STATIC-X album Start A War, but Wayne and I never felt like the music on the original HOLLOW demo was fully realized”. Tony explains. “That is why it didn’t appear on Start A War or any STATIC-X album that followed. The vocals sounded great, but some of the musical compositions from that time period felt a bit experimental. The band was going through a lot of changes at that time and, in retrospect, it felt like we’d strayed away from that authentic STATIC-X sound that really defined us.”
Ken Jay adds, “When we began working on PROJECT REGENERATION our producers advised us to ignore any of the old demo music, so we opted for the original band to re-enter the studio with nothing more than Wayne’s isolated vocal tracks and to just be ourselves, to be STATIC-X, and to make Evil Disco. The vocals sound really great and I think that Wayne would be extremely happy with what we’ve done with the music and to know that these tracks have finally realized their full potential.”
In total, PROJECT REGENERATION Volume 1 & 2 will consist of more than 20 brand new / unreleased Static-X songs and will feature all of the remaining works left behind by Wayne Static, along with the original Wisconsin Death Trip band lineup. The individual albums are expected to contain creative packaging elements that will allow fans to marry the 2 volumes together.
“Right now we are finalizing the mixes for the first batch of songs, which will appear on Volume 1, while we continue to finish up the tracking for the rest of the music, which will appear on Volume 2. Volume 1 will be released at the end of May and the goal is to release Volume 2 as soon as possible.” says Ken Jay.
STATIC-X is including the names of all fans who pre order PROJECT REGENERATION Volume 1 in the liner notes of the album art. The cut-off date for names to appear in the liner notes is March 1, 2020.
“This is a very unique album” adds Koichi Fukuda. “Usually when someone passes away and leaves unfinished material behind, the end result will still sound incomplete. That is not the case with this. We have really taken the necessary steps and committed the time and resources for this to become a legitimate Static-X album.”
2019 was absolutely incredible for STATIC-X. The whole 20th Anniversary touring process was a very unique and healing experience for the band, the fans, and also for Waynes family,” adds Tony. “Wayne’s family has been involved with every decision that we have made. They came out to see us on multiple shows last year and having there blessing and support was something that was essential throughout the process. We wouldn’t be doing any of this without their full support and consent.”
“We are so grateful to the fans who have made 2019 such an incredible year for STATIC-X,” adds Ken Jay. “We have toured the world and celebrated the life and work of our dear friend Wayne, while playing our platinum selling debut album front to back every night. The fans have really exceeded our expectations and again, we are just so grateful! We can’t wait to share all of this music with you!
It has been more than 20 years since Wisconsin Death Trip was released to the world and we are incredibly honored to be able to say that on May 29th, 2020, Wayne, Tony, Ken and Koichi will once again be releasing another STATIC-X album together.”
The band recently wrapped up a world tour comprised of nearly 100 primarily sold out dates in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their platinum selling debut album Wisconsin Death Trip. The shows also served as a traveling memorial for the bands late front-man Wayne Static who passed away in 2014.
STATIC-X has also announced a limited number of shows for 2020.

Christened “Best New Band” at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards upon emerging and streamed and viewed millions of times, five Japanese women shock power metal to life like never before as LOVEBITES. Cemented as the most promising force in the Japanese heavy music scene, the band returns with the much-anticipated new single “Signs of Deliverance” today. They teamed up with Consequence of Sound’s Heavy Consequence to premiere the track.
“‘Signs of Deliverance’ is a song we were playing at shows in July last year even though it didn’t have a title yet,” says guitarist Miyako. “We performed the song at the UK tour supporting DragonForce in November last year, as well. Listen carefully to the intro where the sounds of the string instruments are piling up together, and the guitar solo part.”
The track is a fiery, fleet-fingered display of power metal mastery from the hands and minds of a quintet about to take the world by storm. It also heralds the release of the group’s new album Electric Pentagram, out April 24 via Red River Entertainment/BFD, in partnership with JVCKENWOOD Victor Entertainment Group and distributed by The Orchard in North America. The album is available for pre-order here.
“We are very excited that our new album Electric Pentagram will be released in the U.S. and Canada,” Lovebites says. “This new album has made our bonds as a band stronger than ever. Lovebites is an electric pentagram. A pentagram is a five-pointed star consisting of five lines. It’s been an emblem that’s adorned amulets and talismans since ancient times as a symbol of protection. That’s why we felt Electric Pentagram is the perfect title for this album. We are five points brought together to protect heavy metal. We hope you will enjoy the album!”
The band has also shared the video for the new song “When Destinies Align.” Watch and listen here.
It’s a sign that metal is changing — and LOVEBITES are leading the way.
Inspired by western metal masters, LOVEBITES boast powerful twin guitars, soprano vocals, and a tight rhythm section. After debuting in 2017, they entered the world stage and began performing overseas. In 2018, Lovebites won the “Best New Band” award at Metal Hammer‘s Golden Gods Awards. They have performed at some of the biggest metal festivals, including Wacken Open Air (Germany), Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium), and Download Festival (UK, Spain). In fall of 2019, they performed as a special guest for DragonForce’s UK tour.

After landing the biggest song of their 25-year career, selling out shows worldwide, and finishing the victory lap of an intense three-year cycle, Nuclear Blast artist Hatebreed return with their first new single in four years with “When The Blade Drops.”
“This is just a taste of what’s to come and we’re definitely going hard on this one,” says frontman Jamey Jasta. “The speed, intensity, and brutality that people have come to expect from us is on full display. Can’t wait to play this one live and see the pit erupt.”
At just under three minutes, “When the Blade Drops” is an absolute ripper that reaffirms the GRAMMY® Award-nominated quintet’s status as one of the most relevant and impactful acts in hard rock and heavy metal. This standalone single also heralds the start of a new chapter in Hatebreed’s history that is guaranteed to be marked by the same ruthless breakdowns, pit-stirring anthems, and poignant lyrics that have made them one of heavy music’s most unshakable institutions. “When the Blade Drops” effectively crystallizes the energy and fury of Hatebreed’s legendary live gigs into a sharper-than-a-guillotine anthem.
The anthemic track is a special treat for fans as Hatebreed finish their new album, due out later this year. While “When the Blade Drops” won’t appear on the forthcoming album, it certainly sets the table for what’s to come. Stay tuned for more details on Hatebreed’s eighth studio album.
“When the Blade Drops” arrives hot on the heels of the sold-out anniversary shows that Hatebreed embaked on throughout 2019 and the unprecedented success of 2016’s The Concrete Confessional. Not only did the latter tally 42 million total Spotify streams, but single “Looking Down The Barrel of Today” also clocked 25 million-plus Spotify streams. The band also covered Revolver and The Guardian bestowed a 4-out-of-5 star rating on the album.
Hatebreed will be touring Europe this spring with Parkway Drive. More U.S. touring is also planned. All confirmed dates are below.

GREEN DAY – FATHER OF ALL…Album Review || Crash Thompson
Sweden’s hottest metal export is just finishing their European arena tour with SABATON and are ready to present a very special Valentine’s Day gift: AMARANTHE spice up the day with a brand-new song featuring Angela Gossow, the former singer of ARCH ENEMY!”Do Or Die” shows AMARANTHE’s heavier side and comes with a dystopian horror video filmed in Spain, featuring Fardou Keuning‘s stunning creatures.
Angela Gossow about the breathtaking collaboration sincerely spicing up your Valentine’s Day: “It was thrilling to join AMARANTHE for a more extreme track and shooting a cutting edge video for it! This is no cozy studio performance, but real ice cold winds, sewages, cadavers and pouring rain – the reality we live in, the devastating legacy we leave to our future generations. Time to wake up, turn – and bang – some heads! Watch out for these guys and killer lady, they are going to crush you this year with a new album and some heavy touring!!!”
Guitarist Olof Mörck states,
“While AMARANTHE‘smusic is often uplifting, energetic and positive, sooner or later everyone needs to deal with the obvious fact that the world is literally crumbling around us – and it is crumbling fast, thanks to the short sighted abuse of our common Mother Earth! We talked to legendary Angela Gossow of ARCH ENEMY fame to do an entire package of a video and a song, outside of any normal album cycle, and let our different perspectives on metal collide in a massive explosion; and it resulted in Do or Die! Together with Overbeck Media who shot the video, we delivered something really quite special, and Angela brings in a fresh strength to the trademark AMARANTHE sound that is sure to resound all across the metal world! Death and Fire!!!”

Bay Area titans MACHINE HEAD have shared the brand new song “Circle the Drain.”
Guitarist/vocalist Robb Flynn describes it as an anti-Valentine’s Day song, saying, “The song is inspired by an acquaintance of mine who returned from Afghanistan only to have his relationship fall apart with his girl. She had messed around on him, then got paranoid about him messing around on her, and drove him crazy. We had a conversation on Valentine’s Day and he said to me, ‘They were just circling the drain…’ The phrase struck me. A few days later, I incorporated it into the song I’d been working on.”
Flynn continues, “It was a strange parallel with my life at the time, having recently had two band members quit, and even more bizarrely, two long-time couple friends of my wife and I, also divorced. It was breakup season, and it played out with friends taking sides, people not being invited to certain events anymore, social and emotional pressure, and all the typical stuff that happens when a relationship goes bad.”
He furthers, “Watching this guy pull through it helped me pull through my own upheaval. The lyrics to ‘Circle the Drain’ came out of that frustrating time. It’s a sad song about relationships gone bad, but accepting that it’s over, and making yourself move on. I wrote it in a more metaphorical tone, as I didn’t want it to be about my life, but to be about anybody’s life who may be going through a rough time like that. It may not be a song that connects with everyone, especially those in a solid relationship. But if the day ever comes when your life goes awry, this song will be a lifeline for you, something to help pull you up out of that dark place. The irony that he and I had the original conversation on Valentine’s Day, and we are now releasing it on Valentine’s Day isn’t lost on me. It really is the anti-Valentine’s Day song.”
The song was produced by Robb Flynn (Machine Head’s Through the Ashes of Empires, The Blackening, Bloodstone & Diamonds), and co-produced by Zach Ohren (All Shall Perish, Suicide Silence, Machine Head) at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland. Joel Wanasek (Attilla, Bloodline) once again handled post-production duties, while Russ Russell (At The Gates, The Wildhearts, Dimmu Borgir) over at Parlour Studios UK handled the beefy, guitar-heavy song mix. Finally, the track was mastered by the same gentleman who mastered Through the Ashes of Empires — Greg Grimaldi at Oasis Mastering. “Circle the Drain” features the drumming of Navene Koperweis (Entheos, Whitechapel, Animals As Leaders, Animosity).

Single art was created by Christian Sampson, based on his photography-project based around mental disorders. Sampson compiled a list of 12 mental disorders, ranging from depression to schizophrenia to insomnia. The purposefully dark visuals are emotively powerful in their narration of the mental illness and the image chosen for the single art is called “Panic.”
In late 2019, Machine Head dropped the video for the new song “Do or Die” through Imperium Recordings x Nuclear Blast. Watch and listen here.

Enter Shikari Announces New Album Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible
It was all leading to this. The definitive Enter Shikari albumNothing Is True & Everything Is Possible is set for release on April 17, 2020 through So Recordings. First single “{ The Dreamers Hotel }” premiered as Annie Mac’s “Hottest Record” last night and is available here.
Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible is produced to dazzling effect by renowned frontman and visionary Rou Reynolds from a band at the peak of their creative output with a unique story, underlining their 13-year succession as a pioneering and uncompromising musical force. This is an album about possibility, the unnerving irony of endless possibility, the band asking themselves what they can achieve as the world questions “What is possible?”
Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible is a lucid soundtrack for a new decade with a poignant social commentary that expertly leads the listener from pure pop to scorching punk-rock fury, through four-to-the-floor beats and beautiful orchestral composition. “Waltzing Off The Face Of The Earth(I. Crescendo)” and “Waltzing Off The Face Of The Earth (II. Plangevole)” draws you into the madness of modern life, “You can’t trust your own eyes, and you only hear lies / Our future’s been denied and there’s nowhere to hide now that nothing is true and everything is possible.” “Elegy For Extinction” is a classical gem recorded in Prague with the City Of Prague Symphony Orchestra and arranged by renowned film and television soundtrack composer George Fenton (Gandhi, Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Groundhog Day, My Name Is Joe), and the first single “{ The Dreamer’s Hotel },” a lavishly-produced anthem.
The inspiration for Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible came while putting together their book Dear Future Historians published by Faber, which charts the lyrical creativity of the band. Reynolds comments:
“Looking at all we had achieved gave us a better sense of perspective and confidence… What are we capable of? What is possible? These questions are part of Shikari’s DNA. But now, we reflect a society where possibility itself has drifted from something of optimistic opportunity to something quite frightening.” Rou Reynolds is post-punk’s renaissance man; a musician, producer, composer, published author, and campaigner, who has spent much of the last few years as an advocate of mental health charities following his well-documented struggles on Enter Shikari’s critically acclaimed album The Spark (2017). Alongside Reynolds stands the vital Rob Rolfe (drums), Chris Batten (bass) and Rory Clewlow (guitar), making up one of the UK’s truly great British bands, almost uniquely the same four friends that started Enter Shikari at school,16 years later still united by a shared vision.
The last decade has seen Enter Shikari increase their stature year on year, a rare career story which has taken them to four UK Top 10 albums, millions of streams, huge sell-out world tours (most recently in Russia and two American), as well as multiple awards, last year crowned Best British Band by Rocksound, with Best Album from Kerrang! for The Spark at 2018’s Awards.
