Knuckle Puck Share Addictive New Single “Tune You Out”

Chicago five-piece, Knuckle Puck, have released their new single, “Tune You Out,” today. Produced by Seth Henderson (State Champs, Real Friends) and mixed by Vince Ratti (The Wonder Years, Title Fight, The Menzingers), the song is a cathartic yet upbeat track, saturated with punchy guitar riffs and a massive, addictive chorus. According to Nick Casasanto(guitar/vocals), “Tune You Out” is about “giving yourself and others the appropriate time and space to grow.” Listen to the single on all DSPs HERE, and watch the visualizer below:

Knuckle Puck spent almost all of 2019 off the road working on their highly-anticipated third full-length studio album for Rise Records, which serves as a follow up to their beloved previous LPs, 2017’s Shapeshifter and 2015’s Copacetic. The group will be debuting songs from the forthcoming effort on their underplay headline tour across North America, which kicks off tonight with a hometown show at Chicago’s Beat Kitchen. Nearly every date on the 20+ city run is completely sold out, and the remaining tickets can be purchased HERE. After this batch of shows, Knuckle Puck will also head over to the U.K. in May for a performance at Slam Dunk Festival.

This summer, Knuckle Puck will be supporting Simple Plan and New Found Glory on the “Pop Punk’s Still Not Dead Tour,” which kicks off on Friday, May 29 in St. Petersburg, FL and wraps in Austin, TX on Sunday, June 28. The run of dates also hits major cities including New York, Boston, Chicago, and more. Fans can grab tickets HERE, with VIP upgrades available HERE. This new batch of dates also adds to Knuckle Puck’s already impressive global touring history, where they’ve shared the stage with acts such as Mayday Parade, The Maine, and The Wonder Years. A full touring itinerary for the group can be found below.

Dance Gavin Dance Announce Ninth Studio Album, “Afterburner”

Sacramento’s own Dance Gavin Dance have announced the release of their much-anticipated ninth full-length studio album, Afterburner, on Friday, April 24 via Rise Records. Produced by longtime collaborator Kris Crummett (Issues, Sleeping With Sirens, Mayday Parade) and Drew Fulk a.k.a. WZRD BLD (Lil Wayne, Motionless in White, Bad Wolves), the LP is a landmark mission statement for the band and encompasses DGD energy past, present, and future. It’s a killer and dynamic demonstration of what the five-piece does best, and is equal parts aggressive, melodic, and unrestrained. Pre-order the record HERE. In anticipation of Afterburner, DGD have also released “Prisoner,” the first single from the album. Listen HERE, and watch the official music video below:

According to Will Swan (lead guitar), “‘Prisoner’ is a captivating piece of the eclectic puzzle that is Afterburner. It showcases yet another leap in our constant evolution, and I can’t wait for people to hear what this album has in store.”

In celebration of the upcoming LP, Dance Gavin Dance will be heading out on a massive North American headline run next month, kicking off at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium on Thursday, March 12. This batch of shows follows their entirely sold out North American headliner in 2019, where the band sold over 90k tickets in one year alone.

At the end of the tour, DGD will return home to Sacramento for Swanfest, the one-day festival headlined and curated by the band. The event will take place on Saturday, April 25 at Papa Murphy’s Park. Labelmates Crown The Empire and Issues, along with Animals As Leaders, Knocked Loose, Movements, Fall Of Troy, I See Stars, Veil Of Maya, Hail The Sun, Covet, Tillie, Royal Coda, Eidola, and Wolf & Bear will also join DGD on this year’s lineup. The first ever Swanfest took place last year at the City National Grove of Anaheim, CA, which proved to be a phenomenal sell-out success, a rare feat for a festival in its first year. “With last year’s Swanfest selling out in Southern California, it only made sense for us to bring this year’s show to our hometown in Sacramento. We are thrilled to have the chance to headline our biggest venue in the very city where it all began,” says Will Swan. Tickets and VIP packages for Swanfest 2020 are on sale now HERE.

Dance Gavin Dance will also head over to the U.K. in May for a performance at Slam Dunk Festival, followed by four headline shows across Europe. A full touring itinerary can be found below, and all tickets are available for purchase HERE.

Ozzy Osbourne – Ordinary Man | Album Review

A video album review on Ordinary Man, the twelfth solo studio album from the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne.  Regardless of the generation, we all love Ozzy.

John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is an English singer, songwriter, actor, and television personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which he adopted the nickname “The Prince of Darkness”.  Osbourne was fired from the band in 1979 due to alcohol and drug problems, but he went on to have a successful solo career, releasing eleven studio albums, the first seven of which were all awarded multi-platinum certifications in the United States. Osbourne has since reunited with Black Sabbath on several occasions. He rejoined the band in 1997 and helped record the group’s final studio album 13 (2013), before they embarked on a farewell tour which culminated in a final performance in their home city, Birmingham, England, in February 2017. His longevity and success have earned him the informal title of “Godfather of Heavy Metal“.

Ordinary Man is the upcoming twelfth studio album by English heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne. The album has a release date of 21 February 2020, with its ten-year gap being the longest between two albums from Osbourne to date. The first single off the album titled “Under the Graveyard” was released on 8 November 2019.  Its second single is “Straight to Hell” and it was released on 22 November 2019. Its third single is the title track featuring singer Elton John and was released on 10 January 2020. #OzzyOsbourne #Ozzy #OrdinaryMan #PostMalone #EltonJohn #Rocked

The Amity Affliction Drop “Forever” Video

The Amity Affliction Share Video For New Song “Forever”

New Album Everyone Loves You…Once You Leave Them
Arrives February 21 via Pure Noise Records

ARIA-certified Australian metalcore trailblazers THE AMITY AFFLICTION have just dropped the video for “Forever.” Watch it here.

The song appears on the band’s upcoming album Everyone Loves You… Once You Leave Them. The album arrives tomorrow, February 21, and is the band’s Pure Noise Records debut. Pre-order it here.

“‘Forever’ is a song about the dueling internal narrative while in the depths of a depressive episode,” says singer Joel Birch. “On the one hand, love and support, on the other hand, thoughts of suicide, while also grappling with the follow on effect it would have. I made a promise to myself to make it to my son’s eighteenth birthday when he was three, and I intend to keep it. Hopefully by then I will have figured out how to properly cope with what is likely a lifelong battle with Bipolar II.”

The Amity Affliction — Joel Birch [vocals], Ahren Stringer [vocals, bass], Dan Brown [lead guitar], and Jon Longobardi [drums] — previously released the video for  “Soak Me In Bleach.” Watch it here. The band also premiered the new song “Catatonia” over at Loudwire. Listen here. Prior to that, the band roared out of the gates with “All My Friends Are Dead.” “This album is a result of our re-found love for heavy music,” The Amity Affliction said upon announcing the record. “We wanted to make a heavier album to back up our most recent releases to let our fans know that we understand what the majority want to hear from us. We have experimented creatively over the years and are now able to apply what we’ve learned to what we consider the perfect blend of Amity new and old.”

The Amity Affliction will support Beartooth in Europe from February 16 through March 6. The band will return to the U.S. this spring on a co-headline run with Sleeping With Sirens. The Amity Affliction North American tour dates are below.

Poppy Shines At Sold-Out St. Louis Show | Photos

“St. Louis…Missouri…I love you.”

Those were the words given by internet sensation and post-genre artist Poppy. This show in St. Louis sold-out several months in advance and was by far one of the most unique entities to come to Delmar Hall in quite some time.

Opening with “Concrete’, Poppy hooked everyone in with a wild delivery of music and vigor that is hard to describe in words but even harder to compare with other artists. In all of the best ways, this genre-bending artist has become something “fresh” in many stale music scenes.

“Concrete”

As the night went on Poppy proved she is much more than shock value and quick audio/style transitions in her music. Everything about the performance felt genuine toward giving a great show and the all ages crowd (seriously, this show had a range of EVERYONE in attendance) were able to enjoy everything at Delmar Hall. Some of the song delivery was excellent and sold me on the music featured in the latest album I Disagree. Hearing “Play Destroy” and “Sit Stay” made me appreciate these tracks even more than just hearing them on Poppy’s latest release.

These are the artists that I feel should have the biggest of spotlights shown on them. Musicians and writers who are intentionally trying to think outside of the box and not cashing in on trends. The artists who are working to create something new. Over the past few years, rock and metal has been starving for music like this. It may feel odd that a YouTube star once known for pop music is now fusing heavy elements into her music and THAT getting the spotlight, but it’s undeniably working.

Poppy will be going on tour with Deftones and Gojira later this year. You can find tour dates and more info on Poppy’s Facebook page by clicking here: Poppy on Facebook

Full production, full set, stacked line up, no excuses. We have been waiting, building, grinding for so long to give you guys the chance to experience this event in its full, uncompromising entirety and ladies and gentlemen, that moment has arrived,” says vocalist Winston McCall. “You think you know what’s coming, you think you know what we are capable of, be warned. Up until this point, you have only scratched the surface. This is just the beginning. We’ll see you soon. Be ready.”

Recently, Parkway Drive announced Viva The Underdogs, the soundtrack to the band’s documentary film by the same name, to be released March 27. Featuring 11 live tracks from the band’s 2019 headlining set at German heavy metal festival Wacken, the soundtrack also includes 3 studio tracks recorded in German; “Vice Grip”, “The Void”, and “Shadow Boxing” which features German rapper Casper. Yesterday, the band shared the live video for “Wild Eyes,” which you can view here.

The documentary, ‘Viva The Underdogs, features over a decade of behind the scenes personal footage, coupled with unprecedented access to the band’s most explosive live tours and world’s biggest music festivals.
