PSYCHOSTICK Set to Distract & Lift Spirits with FREE, Live-Stream “Cabin Fever Concerts”!

Legendary Comedy Metal Band PSYCHOSTICK are looking to relieve the anxiety and boredom of social distancing with a series of FREE, live stream “Cabin Fever Concerts” every Thursday at 5:00 pm EST. In true form, the foursome will be performing and interacting with fans in real time, providing a unique interactive experience!

The Chicago based rockers are also reminding music fans to continue to support bands by listening to streaming services, watching videos on YouTube, and buying merch online to support their favorite bands to ensure we all make it through by fighting back with humor, music, and cautious optimism!!

RELAX!

…and wash your hands…

“We recently started poking around at the idea of performing over the internet, live, all while interacting with the fans and viewers. Our amazing fans showed up and supported us right back, and it’s so amazing that this sort of thing can be done in such strange times. Any band can do this, and I encourage those performers out there who are unable to tour or play regular shows to look into live streaming. You just might surprise yourself at how well you’d do.”
-Rawrb

“If people can’t go out to shows, then we’ll come to them in their homes… so heat up a bowl of ramen noodles and let’s have some damn fun. Just because we’re not supposed to leave the house doesn’t mean we aren’t allowed to have fun.”
-Joshy

“Psychostick’s ‘Cabin Fever Concerts’ are fun because THE WHOLE WORLD is invited! No matter how far apart we are, we can all get together safely to have a kick-ass time online! You don’t have to worry about parking or how you’re gonna get there/home (all drinking, NO driving!) You can watch a Psychostick concert from ANYWHERE in your underwear, your birthday suit, BDSM gear, etc… It doesn’t cost you anything and there’s no hidden fees (lookin at YOU Ticketmaster / Live Nation). If you like what we’re doing and feel like supporting us, anything helps, even just watching us for free and having a good time. Who knew brutal riffs and crunchy metal could be so positive?”
-Matty J

“Streaming live concerts offers musicians a chance to perform for people all over the globe in real time. To me, it seems like a fantastic opportunity to help the world develop a global mindset to not only work together, but to enjoy art together as well. If you agree with that, then you have to agree that songs like “Scrotal Torment” and “Thinkin’ With Yer D” are indeed…art.”

Grey Daze (Chester Bennington) Move Amends’ Release To 6/26

Grey Daze, Chester Bennington’s pre-Linkin Park band, in partnership with Loma Vista Recordings, have re-scheduled the release of Amends to June 26.

The 11-song album, which was created to honor both the legacy of Bennington and to see one of his final dreams, the reunion and re-recording of the band’s long out-of-print and largely undiscovered catalog, to completion. With an abundance of concern for those that need to spend time with their loved ones over the coming weeks due to Covid-19, the band and label came to the difficult decision to postpone the album’s release.

“This album means so much to Chester’s family, and to us and our families, that we didn’t want to release it in the midst of this crisis,” explained Grey Daze co-founder, drummer Sean Dowdell. “Having said that, we know there are a lot of fans who pre-ordered the album, have been watching the various videos and behind-the-scenes footage we’ve been sharing and we didn’t want to let them down either, so we came up with the idea of an April 10 worldwide listening session.”

Amends will be live streamed in its entirety via a series of fan-hosted, worldwide listening parties on April 10, across a variety of online platforms. Tune-in times and additional information for these listening parties will be revealed over the coming weeks via the Grey Daze socials. People who previously pre-ordered the album will receive their order on, or by, June 26.

The Phoenix-based band re-launched their website this morning, offering a unique glimpse into Chester Bennington’s original band and offering fans an opportunity to get early access to downloads by signing up for the band’s newsletter, dive into the deluxe CD, LP and merch offerings and learn more about the story of Chester, Grey Daze and the making of Amends.

Since the band announced the forthcoming album release, they have released a pair of singles: “Sickness,” the accompanying video, which tells a story from Dowdell and Chester Bennington’s long-running friendship can be seen here:

“Sickness” is expected to enter the top 10 on the Active Rock radio chart this week.

Amends is the origin story of one of modern rock’s most recognizable voices and also a full circle moment among friends. The album is the fulfillment of a planned Grey Daze reunion that Chester had announced prior to his untimely passing. The remaining band members – Dowdell, Mace Beyers (bass) and Cristin Davis (guitar) – along with Talinda Bennington (Chester’s widow) and his parents, made it their mission to see the project through with assistance from Tom Whalley, the founder of Loma Vista Recordings and former Warner Bros. Records Chairman during Linkin Park’s tenure at the label. Dowdell, Beyers and Davis selected the tracks from the band’s mid-90s, but largely unknown, catalog and re-recorded the music in 2019 to accompany Chester’s re-mastered vocals. Produced by Jay Baumgardner, several musicians leant their time and talent to the album, including Korn’s Brian “Head” Welch and James “Munky” Shaffer, Page Hamilton (Helmet), Chris Traynor (Bush, Helmet, Orange 9MM), LP (Laura Pergolizzi), Jaime Bennington, Jasen Rauch (Breaking Benjamin), Marcos Curiel (P.O.D.) and Ryan Shuck (Orgy).

Amends is available in a variety of collectible formats with several iterations available exclusively via the band’s website. The CD comes as a 16-page case-bound book; a first pressing, ruby red vinyl variant exclusive to the band’s webstore; and a numbered deluxe edition featuring both a CD and LP, which includes the first ever disc tray designed for vinyl, a 60-page book with never-before-seen photos, 180g red and white splattered vinyl, and a collectible set of band memorabilia dubbed the “Grey Daze Archive.” Digital and other standard versions of the album are available here. Pre-orders include instant downloads of “What’s In The Eye” and “Sickness.”

We need music, and each other, now more than ever as we all are witnessing a global pandemic unlike anything we have ever seen in many generations. Myself, Barry, Zach, Eric, and our Shinedown family want the entire world to know that we are in this together, and we must all do our part and continue to encourage love, respect and taking care of each other. Now is the time to put our differences aside so that we can truly lift each other up. We have partnered with an incredible organization Direct Relief who are doing important work globally to help the medical community receive the resources they need in order to save lives. Years ago during the writing and recording of the Amaryllis album there was a song that meant a great deal to me and the band titled “Atlas Falls.” Although the song did not make the album, I always felt that one day the world would hear it…It has never been more clear to me than right now that the time has come for ‘Atlas Falls’ to arrive,” says Shinedown front man Brent Smith

Thank you to everyone who joined us live with Rock Coliseum VII and a special thanks to those who contributed Superchats! Link to ALL Superchats is below the video.

We had a lot of fun doing this one and really appreciate everyone’s support. It’s uncertain times right now and this was our attempt to distract everyone a bit with music talk, bands we love/hate, and terrible impressions.

So long as people keep wanting us to do these, we will keep doing them. And Crash will continue to do bad impressions. He doesn’t have a choice on that one.

Speaking on their cover of ‘Listen To Your Heart‘ and the enormous impact Marie had on millions of music fans around the world, Through Fire have released the below statement:

“Roxette’s music has served as a soundtrack and inspiration for so many people. When recording our new album earlier this year, we decided to cover their classic “Listen to Your Heart”. We always intended on the song being our second single, so went to L.A. several months ago to shoot the music video.

“We were so excited to pay tribute and honor a legendary artist who had such a positive impact on us. We released the video on Monday morning, Dec 9th. However, the next day we were absolutely shocked and saddened to hear the news of Marie passing from cancer just hours after our video was released.

“We dedicate the track and video to Marie’s memory and have decided to donate a portion of the songs sales to St. Jude’s (www.stjude.org) in hopes of creating awareness and finding a cure for cancer.

We’re so incredibly sorry about the loss of such a music icon, our deepest condolences go out to her family, friends and fans around the world. Marie’s music is timeless and her memory will live forever.”

Paradise Lost Release New Single & Video For “Fall From Grace”

The book has been closed but the story is not over: PARADISE LOST sharpen their pens and add another chapter to their dark, glooming history of death doom and gothic metal. In difficult times, the British legend from Halifax is the drug that numbs the pain , the lover that takes away the sorrows, the story that craves to be told.

“Obsidian”, the new album from PARADISE LOST, will be released on May,15th.

You can order “Obsidian” now in various formats here.

Nick Holmes states: “As a global crisis, it goes without saying Covid 19 has affected everyone and everything, including every aspect of the music industry. As a result, our record label Nuclear Blast offered us the chance to postpone the launch of our latest album ‘Obsidian’ to a less volatile time later in the year.
Taking this into consideration, and the fact the live music circuit is currently in lockdown, we think it’s unnecessary to postpone the release as we think our fans wouldn’t want to wait. Music can be enjoyed in practically any environment, so therefore we are going ahead with the same release date 15.5.20, and we sincerely hope our new album helps to lift your spirits, and is a beacon of light in the dark during these uncertain times! Thanks for your continuous support through the years and see you on the road!”

Today, the band releases their first single “Fall From Grace” that comes with a breath-taking, catching music video.

Watch the video here:

Nick Holmes states: “This is a song about struggling through difficult times, and a point blank refusal to accept that the end is within range.”

Guitarist Greg Mackintosh adds: “The first song written for ‘Obsidian’ so probably one of the closest in style to the previous album ‘Medusa’.
It has quite a few different elements to it but is essentially a classic PL song. Doom laden, but hopefully heartfelt and subtle in places.”

Purchase/stream the song here.

The sixteenth PARADISE LOST studio album, „Obsidian“ eschews its immediate predecessors’ gruesome, myopic approach in favour of a richer and more dynamic deluge of black shades. From the deceptive elegance and dual atmospheres of opener ‚Darker Thoughts‘ through to the crushing, baroque doom of war-torn closer ‚Ravenghast,„Obsidian“ reveals a band in masterful control of a broad array of vital ideas. Most noticeably, the record boasts several songs that draw heavily from the much-loved, Kohl-encrusted days of ‘80s gothic rock: in particular, newly-minted PARADISE LOST anthems ‚Ghosts‘ is a guaranteed dancefloor-filler at any discerning goth nightclub.

PARADISE LOST – “Obsidian” Tracklist

1. Darker Thoughts
2. Fall From Grace
3. Ghosts
4. The Devil Embraced
5. Forsaken
6. Serenity
7. Ending Days
8. Hope Dies Young
9. Ravenghast

New England metal titans THE ACACIA STRAIN have just dropped “E,” a new seven inch and digital release today through Rise Records. It’s available here.

It features two tracks — “Solace and Serenity” and “The Lucid Dream.”  The latter track features vocalist Jess Nyx of Mortality Rate.

“I’ve been a fan of Jess since Judiciary introduced me to her voice, and I’m extremely happy to have her on a song,” says singer Vincent Bennett. “Solace, serenity — enter the lucid dream. The second chapter is here. We descend further and further into our own undoing.”

The band previously issued the “D” seven inch and digital single. It included “Feed A Pigeon, Breed A Rat” and “Seeing God,” the latter of which features Aaron Heard of Jesus Piece/Nothing.
