Ice Nine Kills Put Blood-Soaked Spin On “Can’t Help Falling In Love”

Roses are red, violets are blue and Ice Nine Kills have a blood soaked, Valentine’s surprise for you. The horror-themed, theatricore pioneers have put their uniquely hellish spin on a cover of the Elvis classic “Can’t Help Falling In Love” accompanied by a suitably undead, gore filled video. Listen to the track here and watch the video here or by clicking below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQwto3HADo0+&feature=youtu.be

Speaking on his band’s bloody Valentine’s offering, Ice Nine Kills fearless leader, Spencer Charnas shares,

“I’ve always been a big Elvis fan so the idea of taking this classic and splattering it with some signature INK bloodshed struck me as a match made in hell!”

Ice Nine Kills had a bumper year in 2020. When the pandemic hit and their touring plans got cut short, the band, guided by their prolifically creative leader, Spencer Charnas, quickly pivoted and got to work finding new ways to continue to engage with and entertain their fans. Starting with the ingenious, “Jason’s Mom“, a Friday The 13th themed cover of “Stacey’s Mom” by Fountains of Wayne and going on to include a mini-documentary ‘The Disney Revenge Show, a full-length live album ‘I Heard They Kill Live!!’ recorded at their 2019 sold-out show at the Worcester Palladium, a killer live stream event featuring concert footage cut with an original slasher movie co-written by Spencer and starring horror icon Chop Top Moseley and the hugely successful launch of their killer new fan-based community and app – The Psychos Only Club. The band also saw staggering, record breaking merch sales with their continuing monthly Nightmare On The Ninth themed capsules.

Ending the year with a bang, Spencer guested on the Hollywood Undead hit “Heart Of A Champion” along with Jacoby Shaddix and appeared as part of the Hollywood Undead House Party Live Stream. Continuing this momentum in 2021, Spencer has also guested on the rabble rousing new Hyro Da Hero track “Retaliation Generation“.

Serj Tankian Releases “Elasticity” Music Video

Serj Tankian’s eagerly-awaited Elasticity EP arrives on March 19 via Alchemy Recordings/BMG. A preview of the five-song release comes via the Vlad Kaptur-directed video for the EP’s title track, “Elasticity.”

“When I conceived possibly doing another record with the guys from System of a Down a few years back, I started working on a set of songs that I arranged in rock format for that purpose,” Serj explains. “As we weren’t able to see eye to eye on the vision going forward with an SOAD album, I decided to release these songs under my moniker.” With his trademark eclecticism and one-of-a-kind vocal style, Serj delivers a collection that runs the gamut from hard-driving, electronically enhanced anthems like the title track, a rallying cry for his beloved Armenia (“Electric Yerevan”), the tongue-in-cheek political mash-up of “Your Mom,” the piano-laden “How Many Times?” and “Rumi,” a song that Serj wrote both about his son Rumi and Rumi the poet.

One of the most multi-dimensional figures in modern music, the GRAMMY Award winning artist is profiled in the upcoming film, “Truth to Power” (Oscilloscope Laboratories/Live Nation Production; trailer: https://youtu.be/8yI6v9n0eqo). With exclusive interviews, adventures, and original footage personally filmed by Serj, “Truth To Power” (Feb. 19, truthtopowerfilm.com) allows audiences backstage access to an international rock star whose faith in music not only revolutionized heavy metal, but also world events. Throughout his life, the musician has pursued social justice, harnessing the power of his songs and celebrity for real political change. Serj’s voice is equally likely to take on American corporate greed as lambast the corrupt regime of his homeland. His decades-long campaign for formal U.S. recognition of the Armenian Genocide was finally approved by Congress in December of 2019.

Pre-orders, including limited-edition indie retail purple vinyl variant and a galaxy vinyl web exclusive, as well as an Elasticity-themed collection of merch, are available now.

Bad Omens Release “Burning Out (Unplugged)” Music Video

Los Angeles-based rock sensation Bad Omens have released their first video of 2021, “Burning Out (Unplugged)” taken from their FGBGFM Unplugged EP (via Sumerian Records).

Speaking on the release, Noah Sebastian shares:

“Toward the end of last year, we went to Yosemite with our roommates and our good friend Dana to clear our heads and get away from the madness that is LA, even more so in a pandemic. After what felt like the shortest year ever once touring was shut down, it was a breath of fresh air (literally) to get out of the house again and to such a beautiful place, no less. On our last day we drove around Bass Lake and found a pull off with an amazing fall view. Still having an acoustic video to shoot, as well as Orie and Dana and their cameras, and an acoustic guitar, we figured what better way to immortalize the memory of that moment and trip than to shoot it there on the spot.

We’re also very excited to launch our first new merchandise of 2021. We’ve been more hands-on than ever through every step of the process from production to fulfillment and hope that people will be as excited about these items as we are.”

Also being released today is the first Bad Omens merch drop of this year. Fans can get their hands on exclusive merch tonight at 6pm PST (9pm EST) at http://badomensmerch.com/ or by clicking the image below.

It was founded by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl as a one-man project following the dissolution of Nirvana after the suicide of Kurt Cobain. Over the course of their career, Foo Fighters have won 12 Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Album four times.

Medicine at Midnight is the upcoming tenth studio album by American rock band Foo Fighters. Originally scheduled for 2020, the album was delayed to February 5, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
