SEPTEMBER MOURNING Release Music Video for New Single “Kill This Love”

Hard Rock, Graphic Novel Art Project SEPTEMBER MOURNING storms into 2021 with a visually stunning music video for their newest single, “Kill This Love.” Originally premiered on Metal Injection the video was created by Rich Juzwick and is the follow up to “Wake The Dead” in preparation for the band’s upcoming full length release, Volume IV; “Kill This Love” is their second single partnered with Legend Recordings & INgrooves.

“’Kill this Love’ is the musical adaptation of a specific feeling…. the heaviness one feels in their heart when it becomes the obvious prey of someone or something they cannot escape from.

The music alternates back and forth from heavy to sparse in an almost agitated way as to depict the emotional rollercoaster of the lyric.

As pertaining to the comic, ‘Kill this Love’ depicts the inner struggle of the protagonist September as she looks back on her battle with Fate and the strange pull he seems to have over her. She struggles internally with her desire to fight for what she loves and the pain it brings her.” – SEPTEMBER

Greta Van Fleet Releases “Heat Above” Music Video

Today, Greta Van Fleet presents a brand new music video for the song “Heat Above” from the band’s upcoming sophomore album, The Battle at Garden’s Gate, produced by Greg Kurstin (Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Adele) and due out April 16 (Lava/Republic Records).  According to the band:

“‘Heat Above’ is theatrical, eloquent, and exaggerated.  This is a dream in the clouds, a moment of peace in the storm.  Thematically, we are dead center in the cult of Heaven, surreal, strange and free.”

The band debuted the song last week in an interview with Zane Lowe who said, “You aren’t ever going to hear anything like this today and probably in the near future, Greta Van Fleet doing it like nobody else.”

The Battle at Garden’s Gate has an elevated elegance unseen yet from the young band.  With string orchestras, explorative songs, and the band building a visual story with every track, it explores the boundaries of the group’s artistry.

ANDREW W.K. Reveals “Babalon” Music Video

At the beginning of February 2021, Napalm Records and the inimitable God of Partying, ANDREW W.K., announced the impending release of a massive new single, “Babalon”, and today, that new single is officially released and available worldwide (listen/order here), in both physical and digital formats, with an accompanying music video.

On the “Babalon” track, ANDREW W.K.’s path of partying takes a sharp left-hand turn, making for a triumphant and explosive new showcase for his prowess as a multi-instrumentalist. Swinging drums and a sinister guitar riff open the song’s heavenly gates, veering into organ-driven, hermetical verses. This enormous sonic conquest descends like an angel, lowered by W.K.’s rich and dynamic vocal delivery, that at last builds up to a spine-tingling climax – leaving Andrew’s partiers clamoring for more.

When asked to comment on the “Babalon” music video, the project’s conceptual director, Michael R.C., offered the following:
“With ‘Babalon’, we wanted the audience to slink back down Andrew’s tower and storm the gateway to the city of pyramids with him, or someone who looks like him. We had all been working really hard to lay thee gagging monster down, so it would dwell forever in the chasm of frivolous forming. All these images come from there, from where it’s going. That’s where we put Andrew.”

He added:
“Consciousness hasn’t opened reality, only nightmares. Zone-out now.”

Stay tuned for more upcoming Andrew W.K. music news as it arrives.

Myles Kennedy to Release Sophomore Album on May 14

Never a musician to waste any precious time, Alter Bridge and Slash and the Conspirators vocalist Myles Kennedy used the recent pandemic to finalize his sophomore solo album. During his time at home due to all touring being canceled, Myles created the framework for the song ideas that would make up The Ides Of March. He then called up his cohorts from his Year Of The Tiger debut – longtime friend and drummer Zia Uddin and bassist/manager Tim Tournier – and the three musicians drove to Florida to record the album with longtime producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette. The finished result is the exciting album that incorporates Myles’ love of rock/blues/country – slated for release on May 14th via Napalm Records.

From the slide guitar riffs of the album opener “Get Along” to the pensive blues style of closer “Worried Mind,” it is clear that Myles has crafted a formidable follow up to his debut solo album. While Year Of The Tiger was more of an acoustic exploration through Myles’ mind, The Ides Of March finds him strapping on his electric guitar and pushing himself as a guitarist/songwriter. Tracks like “A Thousand Words,” “Wake Me When It’s Over” and “Moonshot” showcase the diverse music arrangements that has garnered Myles fans globally across all of his projects. The epic “The Ides Of March” clocks in at over 7-minutes and Myles, Tim and Zia showcase their musical chops on the track. The first single , “In Stride”, opens with Myles showcasing his slide playing before delivering a lyrical message to “take it all in stride.” The video for “In Stride” marks a return by Stefano Bertelli (who created the “Native Son” video for Alter Bridge) and shows an animated Myles as he takes the end of the world in stride.

“Chill out. That pretty much sums it up,” explains Myles Kennedy about the single. “The lyric paints a picture of a survivalist preparing for an impending zombie apocalypse. It was inspired by the first wave of lockdowns as everyone was buying vast amounts of toilet paper and supplies. I started to ask myself if it might be wise to try and gain some perspective and not overreact… keep calm and carry on.”

Ice Nine Kills Put Blood-Soaked Spin On “Can’t Help Falling In Love”

Roses are red, violets are blue and Ice Nine Kills have a blood soaked, Valentine’s surprise for you. The horror-themed, theatricore pioneers have put their uniquely hellish spin on a cover of the Elvis classic “Can’t Help Falling In Love” accompanied by a suitably undead, gore filled video. Listen to the track here and watch the video here or by clicking below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQwto3HADo0+&feature=youtu.be

Speaking on his band’s bloody Valentine’s offering, Ice Nine Kills fearless leader, Spencer Charnas shares,

“I’ve always been a big Elvis fan so the idea of taking this classic and splattering it with some signature INK bloodshed struck me as a match made in hell!”

Ice Nine Kills had a bumper year in 2020. When the pandemic hit and their touring plans got cut short, the band, guided by their prolifically creative leader, Spencer Charnas, quickly pivoted and got to work finding new ways to continue to engage with and entertain their fans. Starting with the ingenious, “Jason’s Mom“, a Friday The 13th themed cover of “Stacey’s Mom” by Fountains of Wayne and going on to include a mini-documentary ‘The Disney Revenge Show, a full-length live album ‘I Heard They Kill Live!!’ recorded at their 2019 sold-out show at the Worcester Palladium, a killer live stream event featuring concert footage cut with an original slasher movie co-written by Spencer and starring horror icon Chop Top Moseley and the hugely successful launch of their killer new fan-based community and app – The Psychos Only Club. The band also saw staggering, record breaking merch sales with their continuing monthly Nightmare On The Ninth themed capsules.

Ending the year with a bang, Spencer guested on the Hollywood Undead hit “Heart Of A Champion” along with Jacoby Shaddix and appeared as part of the Hollywood Undead House Party Live Stream. Continuing this momentum in 2021, Spencer has also guested on the rabble rousing new Hyro Da Hero track “Retaliation Generation“.
