Diamante Returns With New Album “American Dream”

It generally takes over a billion years for a diamond to form, and yet, in just 24 years, Diamante has really begun to sparkle.

With her sapphire hair, a show-stopping voice, runway-ready fashion swagger, and empowering message, the Boston-raised and Los Angeles-based Mexican-Italian-American siren brings a new (and blue) fire to rock and alternative music.

Today, the singer has announced the May 7 release date for her upcoming independent album American Dream. Pre-save it here

She has also shared the female-empowerment themed video for first single “Ghost Myself,” which exclusively premiered at Alternative Press

Diamante spent her teenage years cutting her teeth at local gigs on the Sunset Strip to become the powerhouse performer she is today. A disciple of both P!nk and Guns N’ Roses who doesn’t fall into rockstar excess tropes or even sport tattoos, she devoted every waking minute to honing a signature “hard rock sound with a modern alternative edge.”

Her unique and undeniable approach caught the attention of Better Noise Music, which signed her in 2015. She hit the studio with super producer Howard Benson [My Chemical Romance, Halestorm, Kelly Clarkson] to record what would become her full-length debut, Coming In Hot. With the release of her first album, Diamante undeniably stormed the scene in 2018 with a #1 song at rock radio (her collaboration “Hear Me Now” with Bad Wolves), along with a Top 15 song with her own single “Haunted.”

Now three years later, and after extensive touring with bands like Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Chevelle, and Shinedown, Diamante is back in full force and shining brighter than ever before.

In 2019, Diamante parted ways with Better Noise and re-teamed with Howard Benson and Neil Sanderson of Judge & Jury as an independent artist to make her sophomore album American Dream. Diamante capitalized on her newfound and ultimate creative freedom and independence by being her own CEO throughout every facet of the album process. On working with Benson and Sanderson, Diamante praises that they were instrumental in “bringing my stories to life and pushing me to embrace my vulnerabilities.”

American Dream shows exponential growth from Coming In Hot — both sonically and with its raw authenticity, proving now more than ever that Diamante’s fearlessness to bare her soul in her music is what truly sets her apart.

“With American Dream, I was given the ultimate artistic freedom to express my most personal moments, stories, confessions, flaws, fears, hopes, mistakes, desires, vices, heartaches, and redemption in a way I have never been able to in the past,” Diamante shares. “Every word on this album is my personal diary screaming in your face. This album has no limitations, restrictions, or filter, really. That’s why the music video for ‘Ghost Myself’ had to be equally raw and purposely gritty; it’s a song about being at war with myself. I knew there would be no better way to show this internal battle than through an underground fight club scene between me, myself, and I.”

Metal Legends Scott Ian, Corey Taylor, Lzzy Hale, Dave Lombardo & Tina Guo Join Composer Fil Eisler On New Track “THUNDER FORCE”

Milan Records today releases the title track and lead single from Netflix’s upcoming superhero comedy Thunder ForceAvailable everywhere now, “Thunder Force” was written by composer Fil Eisler for the film alongside Scott Ian (Anthrax) and Corey Taylor (Slipknot & Stone Sour) and features a star-studded lineup of metal legends Lzzy Hale (Halestrom), Dave Lombardo (Slayer) as well as dynamic electric cellist Tina Guo. The track features as the end credits song to the new action comedy from writer/director Ben Falcone and starring Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer, which premieres on Netflix Friday, April 9. It features as the lead single to the film’s original soundtrack by composer Fil Eisler, which will be released by Milan Records in conjunction with the film’s debut next Friday, April 9. Watch the lyric video for “Thunder Force” here or by clicking the image below.

Of the track, composer FIL EISLER says, “One of the great things about scoring movies is that I get to play in a lot of different musical sandboxes and occasionally the opportunity comes up to invite in some special guests. Anthrax and Slayer played a huge part in my childhood and I’ve been a fan of both Corey [Taylor] and Lzzy [Hale] for years, so when the idea of doing an orchestral metal score came up, it was a perfect excuse to go straight to the source. Why fake it when you can work with the real originals! It was honestly one of the most outright fun experiences of my scoring career so far.”

“’Thunder Force’ kicks fucking ass,” adds the song’s cowriter and featured musician SCOTT IAN.

“It was awesome to work on this track with Lzzy and be a part of the film Thunder Force. It is always nice to be creative and work with other artists in the community, especially during this extended time at home. I’m excited for everyone to hear the song and see the film!” says the song’s cowriter and featured musician COREY TAYLOR.

“I’m beyond excited to be included on the Thunder Force soundtrack, surrounded by friends, representing the genres I love so much, Rock and Metal! You won’t know what hit you! Remember, LIGHTNING NEVER STRIKES IF YOU CAN’T FORCE THE THUNDER!” adds featured musician LZZY HALE.

“I have had the privilege of working in the music industry for over 35 years,” says featured musician DAVE LOMBARDO“There is something incredibly exhilarating about performing on stage, specifically the edge that comes with the off the rails style of music I play. Working with Fil Eisler on Thunder Force somehow captured that same feeling. This score is a powerful musical engine. It was a pleasure to be a part of the team that helped this come to life.”

“Working with living legends on this soundtrack for a film that features two ordinary women turned superheroes has been incredible. I feel the same way whenever I pick up my electric cello and feel my own transformation from causal nerd to screaming banshee. I cannot wait for everyone to hear it!” concludes featured musician TINA GUO

In a world where supervillains are commonplace, two estranged childhood best friends reunite after one devises a treatment that gives them powers to protect their city.

CHERRY BOMBS Present ‘Macabarét’ Cinematic Experience

CHERRY BOMBS bring an entire new way to experience rock and roll music by combining daredevil arts with feminine power. Their fearless and dynamic performances feature “jaw-dropping aerials, intense fire sequences and dialed-in choreography.” (Knotfest). Founded in 2013 by ALICIA TAYLOR, the troupe have performed at the largest motorcycle rallies such as Sturgis and Daytona, as well as opening for cross-country tours with Buckcherry and Stone Sour. With the halt of live events due to the pandemic, CHERRY BOMBS reimagined their live show into a unique cinematic experience billed as MACABARÉT.

MACABARÉT is a next-step evolution of the CHERRY BOMBS’ high-octane show which combines the group’s daring skillsets with a visually stunning and sonically intense storyline captured on film and backed by a soundtrack featuring staple rock tracks from the genre’s most prominent artists. Filmed at various locations in Nevada by cinematographer Nathan Mowery (Kind Punk Film), MACABARÉT’ follows the story of an out-of-luck man entangled in a delicious web of torment and retribution. When he finds himself stranded in the middle of nowhere, he makes his way to the unassuming White Dog Saloon, hoping for help. What he finds there is a taste of his own medicine. Watch the trailer streaming below or HERE.

“Macabarét was certainly a labor of love–starting with the legend of the goddess Pele, of which I learned about while living in Hawaii,” shares ALICIA TAYLOR. “I found her to be wonderfully intriguing and inspiring, and I wanted to pay homage in a modern way with a story that combines horror and fantasy told through the visual art that Cherry Bombs is known for. The story expands to take place in the White Dog Saloon, a casual looking watering hole in the middle of the desert, where unbeknownst to its visitors, karma serves an ice-cold dish of comeuppance.”

“This show was meant to be debuted on our very first headlining run, scheduled for spring 2020–however, as well all know, COVID hit and that washed everything away,” TAYLOR further explains. “In order to adapt, I decided to have Nathan Mowery of Kind Punk Film tape an ‘extended trailer’ of the show, to tease what I thought would be an inevitable tour later that year. Alas, that tour did not happen either, so we switched gears again once we realized the pandemic was going to last much longer than anticipated. I decided to film the entire production in full-length cinematic format–as if it were a movie–from start to finish. I handpicked the locations, we brought in lighting, staged the scenes to fit the script– everything filmed in a way to take the viewer through the story as they were experiencing it for themselves. I wanted this virtual show to feel immersive, bringing the viewer inside and through the White Dog Saloon.”

Experience the MACABARÉT show in the comfort of your own home during one of its upcoming livestream showings on April 23, 24 & 25 at 12:00 PM (PT) / 3:00 P.M. (ET) and 6:00 P.M. (PT) / 9:00 P.M. (ET) exclusively via VEEPS. Tickets are on-sale now at www.cherrybombs.veeps.com.

In advance of the MACABARÉT streams, CHERRY BOMBS will launch Season 3 of their docuseries ‘Girl Gang’ which will allow viewers to see a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into a CHERRY BOMBS production. The four-part web series will air weekly via CHERRY BOMBS YouTube channel at 12:00 P.M. starting on Wednesday, March 31. Subscribe now at https://www.youtube.com/c/CherryBombs.

CHERRY BOMBS will return to stages with their explosive performance this May as direct support for Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) on a month-long jaunt across the country from May 18 to June 19. Tickets and further information about the COVID safety compliant shows can be found HERE.

Staind Announce First Album In 9 Years

Multi-platinum rock band STAIND has announced that they will be releasing their first album in nine years, Live: It’s Been Awhile,May 7 via Yap’em / Alchemy Recordings. Pre-order the album HERE.

STAIND’s massive single “It’s Been Awhile” spent 20 weeks at #1 and continues to be one of the most played songs in modern rock history. Check out the live version of the iconic track from the upcoming album HERE.

The Live: It’s Been Awhile album will be accompanied by The Return Of Staind: A Two Part Global Streaming Seriesin partnership with Danny Wimmer Presents. The series launches with STAIND’s Live: It’s Been Awhile (From Foxwoods) concert, which streams globally on May 1. The Live: It’s Been Awhile album and concert were recorded at the band’s comeback show at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT in October 2019. The never-before-seen concert celebrates the band’s reunion after a five-year hiatus.

“These were the first grouping of shows we played together in 2019, when we were gearing up for what was to be a very busy 2020…that never happened,” says STAIND lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, Aaron Lewis. “I’m glad we captured that energy here and can share it with those who couldn’t be at Foxwoods.”

STAIND will also be performing their iconic multi-platinum 2001 album Break The Cycle in its entirety for a May 8 streaming event, exactly 20 years after the album’s release. The 20th Anniversary Of Break The Cycle, Performed In Its Entirety takes place at Mill 1 in Open Square in Holyoke, Massachusetts, bringing the band back to their Western Mass roots. Please note, this is a fully virtual event, with no in-person attendance.

“Our first show together in 1995 was at a now defunct bar called the Waterfront in Holyoke,” says Aaron. “We played mostly covers, because that’s what you had to do back then. Turns out The Waterfront is two miles from where we did this. Here we are, two miles down the road, 26 years later, celebrating the anniversary of the album that helped us break though 20 years ago and altered our lives forever.”

Both global streaming events debut at 2:00 PM PDT / 5:00 PM EDT / 10:00 PM BST / 11:00 PM CEST on their respective days and will be available on-demand for 72 hours. Watch the official trailer for The Return Of Staind: A Two Part Global Streaming Series here:

Purchase tickets for one or both of the STAIND global streaming events at StaindLive.com. Fans can also purchase bundles and VIP experiences, including exclusive merchandise, a custom STAIND guitar autographed by the entire band, and a virtual meet & greet with the band.

After a five-year hiatus, STAIND roared back on the scene in 2019 with a series of electrifying live performances, including DWP’s Louder Than Life and Aftershock festivals.

Break The Cycle was huge – in 2001 it debuted at #1 with over 700,000 copies sold in its first week – but it’s more than just a hit record. It’s a defining moment for the genre, the way it flows from beauty to heaviness – and Aaron Lewis was the perfect instrument for those melodies, those lyrics. Nobody in the genre could match the dynamics of Aaron’s voice,” says Danny Wimmer, founder of Danny Wimmer Presents. “When Staind came back in 2019, they sounded as good as ever, and the fan demand for what the band had planned for 2020 was through the roof. Now in 2021, there’s no way we were going to miss this opportunity to celebrate 20 years of such a pivotal record, and carry that momentum into the next era of Staind.”

In 2020, Danny Wimmer Presents entered the digital content curation space, promoting pay-per-view livestreams and creating the popular digital series Offstage with DWP. DWP is known worldwide for their stellar portfolio of music and lifestyle events, which includes Aftershock, Bourbon & Beyond, Epicenter, Hometown Rising, Louder Than Life, Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival, and Welcome To Rockville.

Mammoth WVH Release Two Tracks From the Upcoming Self-Titled Debut

On the heels of “Distance” reaching #1 at Active Rock radio, Mammoth WVH is releasing two new tracks to the masses. “Don’t Back Down” is the anthemic new single for rock radio and is destined to cater to the fans of the harder sound of Mammoth WVH. An official music video is also being released that showcases Wolfgang Van Halen performing the song on all of the instruments – something he did throughout the entire debut album. It also illustrates his lighthearted side that fans following him on social media have already experienced. The video for “Don’t Back Down” can be seen below. The other track being released is “Think It Over” – a song that Wolfgang wanted to share to showcase the diversity of the album. It shows a different side of Mammoth WVH as he ventures in to a more pop-rock world with that track.

The long-awaited, self-titled debut album from Mammoth WVH will be available worldwide on June 11th via EX1 Records/ Explorer1 Music Group. A pre-order for Mammoth WVH in various configurations – including a recently announced limited orange color vinyl available via the band’s online store – can be found here. Fans that pre-order the album digitally will receive instant downloads of the #1 single “Distance,” the Howard Stern premiered track “You’re To Blame” and both “Don’t Back Down” and “Think It Over.” All 4 tracks are now available via all global digital streaming partners as well as the ability to pre-save the album.

Writing all of the songs and performing all of the instrumentation and vocals for the debut albumWolfgang Van Halen set out to establish his own musical identity. From the rocking opening guitar riff on album opener “Mr. Ed” to the driving bass and drums on album closer “Stone,” Mammoth WVH showcases the various musical influences that have inspired Wolfgang. Songs like “Resolve,” “The Big Picture” and “Think It Over” are all sonically different from each other but unique to what Mammoth WVH is. Mammoth WVH made their television performance debuts of the first single “Distance” last month as an electric performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and an exclusive acoustic arrangement on NBC News TODAY.

Beartooth Announce New Album “Below”

After thrilling their legion of fans by surprise dropping the blistering and brand new track “Devastation” —see above for early press praise— gold-selling, Columbus, Ohio-based rock band Beartooth have announced details regarding their fourth studio album Below

Fans can pre-order the album, which will arrive on June 25 via Red Bull Records, here.

Below is by far my favorite album I’ve made to date,” says frontman Caleb Shomo. “It covers the dark side of dealing with mental strain during the last year. I gave it all I had — musically and lyrically. Is it too dark? Possibly, but it was as honest as I could be about how I felt. I hope everyone is ready to strap in for a wild ride of head banging and rocking.”

To celebrate the announcement, the band has shared the video for the new song “The Past Is Dead.” The video features the band in performance mode, which is its most natural state. The members are surrounded by stunning pyrotechnics and an otherworldly demon, who can be spotted in the album cover art pictured below.

“‘The Past Is Dead’ was one of the first songs written for the album,” Shomo explains. “Various versions have been in the bank for about two years now and it really set the tone for the whole album writing process. The video is meant to depict the beginning of the journey to the deepest and darkest parts of my mind, which was the fuel used to make Below.”

Beartooth harness the sacred and profane, purging inner darkness with a dizzying light. The fearlessly determined and boundlessly creative Midwest powerhouse perfects a sound sought by a generation of bands. Their marriage of colossally catchy choruses and post-hardcore, soaked in sweaty metal, is without rival. Its effect is evident by their religiously dedicated global audience; tours with Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, Architects, and A Day To Remember; and a RIAA-certified plaque for their hit single “In Between.”

Their latest release Below is a pure distillation of rage — weaponizing its deceptively radio-ready bombast to deliver stone cold truth missives, each packed like a bomb with noisy rock chaos.

Below also revels in the darker underbelly of traditional metal, soaked in stoner rock tones and doomy dirge. Beartooth offer no cure. The recovery comes in the process; the journey is the destination. As long as the dueling dichotomy of anguish and cathartic creative expression remain bound together, Beartooth will be here to oversee the show.
