The album was again produced by Markus Dravs.[4] It was preceded by the singles “The Bandit” and “100,000 People“, both released on January 7, 2021. The studio album crowned Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart (dated March 03, 2021) debuting at No. 1. It was the first chart-topper for Cooper in the 29-year history of the Top Album Sales chart.

The Future Bites is the sixth studio album by British musician Steven Wilson. The album was initially set for release on 12 June 2020 through Caroline International, but later was pushed back to 29 January 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected the marketing and production related to the album. It was co-produced by Wilson and David Kosten and recorded in London

Erra (stylized in all caps) is the fifth studio album by American progressive metalcore band Erra. It was released on March 19, 2021 through UNFD. The album was produced by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland. It is the band’s first studio release with the label.

Myles Kennedy Releases Topical Animated Music Video For “Get Along”

With the release of his sophomore solo album a few weeks away, Myles Kennedy is unveiling another official music video from The Ides Of March. The new video is for the album opener “Get Along” and is an animated short film based on an idea created by Kennedy and brought to life by director/animator Ollie Jones. Animators Jake Lava and Sam Clark worked with Jones to tell the story of how society is affecting the animal kingdom. The video depicts a group of animals that live in a forest banding together to fight an increase in pollution in their homes as well as corporate expansion through  deforestation as Kennedy sings the poignant lyric “Why can’t we all just get along?” A bear, beavers, deer and even a ninja turtle among others band together with the help of a wise owl to protect their land to relay a message that everyone needs to work together for the benefit of a better world.

The video for “Get Along” can be seen here and below:

“Get Along” is the third track released from the upcoming Napalm Records album The Ides Of March – scheduled for release on May 14th. While Year Of The Tiger was more of an acoustic exploration through Myles’ mind, The Ides Of March finds him strapping on his electric guitar and pushing himself as a guitarist/songwriter. Myles also released the album’s title track “The Ides Of March” last month to fan and critical acclaim alike. “The Ides Of March” is the longest song on the album clocking in at 7:39 and showcases the musicianship of Kennedy and cohorts – longtime friend and drummer Zia Uddin and bassist/manager Tim Tournier. Light the Torch Announce New Album “You Will Be the Death of Me”

LIGHT THE TORCH — Howard Jones [vocals], Francesco Artusato [guitar], and Ryan Wombacher [bass] — will release their new album and second full length You Will Be the Death of Me on June 25 via Nuclear Blast. Pre-order it here.

The band has dropped the video for the first track, “Wilting in the Light,” which was directed by Ramon Boutviseth in L.A.

Pre-save and listen here.

You Will Be the Death of Me has been a journey — even without the pandemic,” says Jones. “This album has been emotional and rewarding in every way, and we couldn’t be more excited to finally release it. Maybe there was a bit of desperation writing and recording these songs.”

He shares, “Going through personal turmoil and watching Francesco deal with injuries, we knew this could change things drastically for us. The album was a welcome distraction, and we dumped every emotion we had into YWBTDOM. To watch Fran heal and become an even more complete artist in front of my eyes has been amazing to watch. Everything we went through individually and together with this album drew Fran, Ryan, and I together. I couldn’t be more proud of this album knowing I made it with my family.”

Artusato opens up about his experiences, saying, “This record is special to me in a different way. From writing the music during one of the toughest times of my life while dealing with a bad injury due to a car accident to being obsessively involved with every aspect of its production, recording, and creating the artwork. It’s hard to describe how I feel, and to finally see this record getting ready to be released.”

He continues about the redemptive power of the album, offering, “We are all very satisfied with how this record showcases the evolution of our band and our evolution as individuals. Without our brotherhood, this music could not have happened. Music is what kept us strong together during our toughest times. There’s nothing like art that expresses pure and deep emotions, and that’s what I feel when I listen to Howard’s performance on this record.”

Wombacher concurs, “I think this album shows the growth the band has experienced after years on the road together, and a friendship that has continued to thrive doing what we love together.”

The guys returned to Sparrow Sound in Glendale, California to once again work with the production team of Josh Gilbert and Joseph McQueen [Bullet for My Valentine, As I Lay Dying, Suicide Silence]. This time around, they also welcomed Whitechapel’s Alex Rudinger on drums. “He’s incredible,” says Artusato. “He was exactly what we needed.”

Upheld by head-spinning seven-string virtuosity yet anchored to skyscraping melodies, Light the Torch crafted 12 metallic anthems, including an unexpected and awesome cover of the ’80s hit “Sign Your Name” by R&B singer Terence Trent D’Arby. The group shot out of the gate as a contender on their full-length debut, Revival. It bowed at #4 on the Billboard US Independent Albums Chart and at #10 on the Hard Rock Albums Chart in addition to receiving acclaim from RevolverOutburn, and many more. “Calm Before the Storm” racked up a staggering 14.5 million Spotify streams, while “The Safety of Disbelief” remains one of SiriusXM Octane’s all-time most requested songs. They also crisscrossed North America and Europe on tour with the likes of Trivium, Avatar, In Flames, Ice Nine Kills, Killswitch Engage, and August Burns Red to name a few.

You Will Be the Death of Me finds Light the Torch firing on all cylinders and ready to take things to the next level.

“The Royal Guard” comes with an impressive music video setting new standards for all releases to follow.

The limited 12-inch vinyl edition of “The Royal Guard,” which features the new track and the Swedish version “Livgardet,” comes with a beautifully etched
B-side, noble gold foil prints, and embossed artwork.  For the strictly limited edition, the band has even visited the pressing plant and created a special vinyl that will contain real gunpowder.  This very special edition was sold out immediately after its announcement.  The other configurations of the vinyl edition are mostly sold out as well, with only a few copies left.  Get one of the last few copies of the vinyl here.

In wrestling, a face is a character who is portrayed as being moral or approving (that is, faces are “good guys” or “crowd favorites”). The vast majority of wrestling storylines (though not all) place a heel (“bad guy”) against a face. The term face began as an abbreviation of babyface, and up until the mid 1990s, the two terms meant essentially the same thing.

Rise Against Drops New Performance Video for “Nowhere Generation”

Armed with a blistering, aggressive new single, “Nowhere Generation,” the multi-Platinum, politically imbued punk rockers RISE AGAINST celebrate the track’s catapulting into the Top 25 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart and Top 30 on Billboard’s Alternative charts in only its third week of release.  The song is a David-and-Goliath call-to-arms directed primarily at Millennials, Gen Ys, and Gen Zs to preserve and defend the fact that people, not politicians, hold the real power and that our younger generations need to reclaim that power to ensure the future of American Democracy.   In its debut week, “Nowhere Generation” was the #1 Most Added track at both Rock and Alternative radio, an accomplishment that only Foo Fighters’ #1 smash “Shame, Shame” also achieved in the past year.  Additionally, in the short time since its debut, “Nowhere Generation” has contributed   2.3-million streams to the band’s global total of nearly 4-billion.

Today, at 11AM PT – 1PM CT – 2PM ET, Rise Against will perform their new hit single “Nowhere Generation” for the first time, culled from their “Nowhere Sessions.”  The performance will be preceded by the entire band – Tim McIlrath/vocals, guitar, Joe Principe/bass, Brandon Barnes/drums, and Zach Blair/guitars – on a live video chat that starts at 10:45 AM PT.   Hosted by the Grammy-nominated creative director Brian Roettinger (Jay-Z, Florence and the Machine, No Age), who crafted the cohesive cross-campaign visual designs, the group will discuss the overall project’s thematic visuals, from the album artwork to band photos to music videos, and eventually to Rise Against’s on-stage tour production.  Check out the live chat and the new performance music video of “Nowhere Generation” HERE.

“Nowhere Generation” is the title track from what may be the most consequential album of Rise Against’s 20-year career, due out June 4 on Loma Vista Recordings.  The eleven songs on  Nowhere Generation call out today’s social, economic, and political factors that are undermining and redefining one of the core tenants of being an American:  that despite your race, place of birth, or societal class, if you apply yourself and work hard, you can achieve your vision of a fuller, richer and better life, The American Dream.  What is tantamount to a sell-out of the Middle Class is the thread that runs through the album.  Said vocalist/lyricist/rhythm guitarist Tim McIlrath, “The brass ring that was promised by hard work and dedication no longer exists for everyone.  When the privileged climb the ladder of success and then burn it from the top, disruption becomes the only answer.”

Red Fang Returns with ‘Arrows’

Red Fang, the beloved Portland-based “riff-heavy” (NPR) rock band, return with their highly-anticipated new album, Arrows, on June 4 via Relapse Records.

“It was so gratifying to put these songs on tape with Funk!” says guitarist/vocalist Bryan Giles of the album that was produced by longtime collaborator Chris Funk (Murder The MountainsWhales and Leeches). It felt very comfortable with a loose schedule. We didn’t take it one song at a time, but added guitars, vocals, or general weirdness whenever an idea sprang to mind. We busted out a hurdy gurdy! It was that fun.

Long live Rock!!”

“WOW! We are SO EXCITED to finally release this record to the world! We finished the album way back in December 2019 and then… something happened that is not worth discussing…,” adds vocalist/bassist Aaron Beam. “Making this record felt totally loose and easy. It felt like we were just doing whatever the fuck we wanted, and not overthinking anything. That attitude reminded me a lot of what it felt like to make Murder the Mountains. The result doesn’t sound anything like MTM, but it has more of that vibe.”

News of the eagerly-awaited album, the band’s first collection in five years, arrives with a new chapter in the band’s unparalleled canon of Whitey McConnaughy-directed music videos as the foursome unveils a clip for “Arrows” (https://youtu.be/lwQPJ1G2n5o). “Arrows” finds Red Fang once again exploring creative ways to spend the label’s music video budget in a subtle nod to the band’s classic “Wires” video.

“His way of presenting us really works,” says guitarist David Sullivan of the band’s relationship with Whitey. “That first video he did for us for ‘Prehistoric Dog’ gave us a big jumpstart as far as the band getting popular. And we love working with him.”

Arrows Tracklist:
Take it Back
Unreal Estate
Arrows
My Disaster
Two High
Anodyne
Interop-Mod
Fonzi Scheme
Days Collide
Rabbits in Hive
Why
Dr. Owl
Funeral Coach

Pre-orders for the 13-song album are available now, with Arrows available in a variety of formats, including standard versions of the LP, CD, cassette and digitally, as well as, a limited-edition liquid filled LP, deluxe CD (exclusive to Europe and Relapse.com), and two collectible bundles: LP with a limited Arrows blacklight poster and a Red Fang x Psycho Las Vegas limited-edition Texas Hold’em themed box set. Dubbed the Fortune Hunter Gamblers Pack, the poker-themed package includes branded casino-quality playing cards, dice, collector’s coin, custom boxing, and a card of authenticity (all featuring custom artwork by Ian Colazzo), as well as the LP, and t-shirt. Physical pre-orders are available via Relapse’s webstore, while digital downloads and streaming links can be found here.

Red Fang is Aaron Beam (bass/vocals/guitar/keyboards), Bryan Giles (guitar/vocals), John Sherman (drums) and David Sullivan (guitars). Over the course of their 16-year career the Portland, Oregon-based band has released four studio albums (Red Fang (2009), Murder the Mountains (2011), Whales and Leeches (2013), and Only Ghosts (2016), joined Fred Armisen in an epic battle against invading zombie hordes, were joined by Paul Shaffer during a standout performance on The Late Show with David Letterman, and have created the best music videos in recent history.
