Vans Warped Tour to Celebrate 30 Th Anniversary in 2025

The Vans Warped Tour, recognized as one of the most successful and longest-running festivals of its kind, is making a triumphant return in 2025, marking its 30th anniversary and catalyzing the platform for the future. Featuring three two-day day festivals in Washington, D.C., Long Beach, CA, and Orlando, FL, Vans Warped Tour 2025 makes its return in partnership with Insomniac, the experience creators behind some of the world’s largest music festivals and live events, to revive the magic for both longtime fans and newcomers alike.

After concluding its final cross-country tour in 2018 and hosting a memorable 25th anniversary event, the iconic festival will have a continued focus on community and nurturing the next generation of artists, musicians and skateboarders.

Each stop will showcase 70 to 100 bands, reflecting a wide range of genres including but not limited to rock, punk rock, alternative, pop punk, emo, and more. The return of Vans Warped Tour will combine beloved festival favorites from the last 30 years of Warped Tour as well as a diverse lineup of newer acts. Fans in Washington, D.C. can kick off the summer at the Festival Grounds at RFK Campus on June 14 and 15. Then, the festival will head to Long Beach, CA, where it will take place on July 26 and 27 at Downtown Long Beach Shoreline Waterfront. Finally, the tour will wrap up the year in Orlando, FL, with performances at Camping World Stadium Campus on November 15 and 16. Each location promises an unforgettable experience filled with music, community, and nostalgia.

The festival has a rich legacy of hosting renowned artists such as Blink-182, Katy Perry, Fall Out Boy, NOFX, Green Day, The Used, Paramore, Good Charlotte, Sum 41, Machine Gun Kelly, The Black Eyed Peas, My Chemical Romance, Neck Deep, Pierce The Veil, and many more. The 2025 edition will honor the tour’s iconic history while shining a spotlight on the next generation of artists, with full lineup details to be announced at a later date.

MYLES KENNEDY Releases Lyric Video for “Saving Face”

With the release of his third solo album, The Art Of Letting Go, just days away, vocalist/guitarist/songwriter MYLES KENNEDY – known for his work with rockers Alter Bridge and Slash and the Conspirators – is releasing his final pre-release track “Saving Face.”  The song is a blazing rock track that is built around Myles’ driving guitar riff as Tim Tournier’s distorted bass and Zia Uddin’s drums push the verses towards an unforgettable chorus. The song talks about continuing to mark your place in the world today regardless of what others around are doing to drag you down. It is the life lesson that wisdom you gain after being on the planet for a while is every bit as important as youthful exuberance is.

From the opening guitar riff of the title track “The Art Of Letting Go” to the haunting melody of album closer “How The Story Ends,” MYLES KENNEDY is back with a collection of songs that is sure to cater to old and new fans alike. Songs like “Mr. Downside,” “Miss You When You’re Gone,” and “Eternal Lullaby” showcase the memorable storytelling that has become synonymous throughout all of Myles’ projects. The Art Of Letting Go marks the return of Myles, backed by his band comprised of Zia Uddin on drums and Tim Tournier on bass. The debut single – the upbeat rocker “Say What You Will” – brought Myles his highest solo chart position ever and is the most spun single of Myles’ solo career.  The album is scheduled for release via longtime label home Napalm Records on October 11, 2024.

Lacuna Coil Announces New Album, ‘Sleepless Empire’

Italian metal titans Lacuna Coil announce their 10th studio album Sleepless Empire – their first collection of new songs since 2019’s Black Anima – with their new single “Oxygen”. “Oxygen” comes with a mesmerizing music video, filmed in Latina and directed by Daniele Tofani, that shows singer Cristina Scabbia in the lead role.

Cristina Scabbia commented on the track and her experience filming the video: “‘Oxygen’ is a powerful exploration of emotional struggle and inner conflict. The lyrics convey a sense of drowning in a toxic environment, both literally (in the video) and metaphorically, where attempts at salvation, represented by ‘oxygen’ are somehow futile. This song encapsulates the feeling of struggling to break free from what holds us down, when the journey is filled with difficulty. It’s a raw anthem of vulnerability, resilience, and the courage to face what seems insurmountable. Having to stay in the water for so many hours during the video shoot was cathartic for me, the realisation that the pleasant sensation of floating could in an instant become dangerous and deadly if I wasn’t careful was very fitting with the song’s theme.”

Inspiration to create Sleepless Empire came during the sessions for Comalies XX (2022), the acclaimed remake of their breakthrough record of the same title. Writing and recording took place in northern Italy between Milano (the band’s hometown) and Como, where SPVN Studios are located. As with their previous albums, production was done in house with Marco “Maki” Coti Zelati at the helm, and artwork was hand curated by the talented Italian artist Roberto Toderico. Two other very special talents enrich the album, namely the guest vocalists: Lamb of God‘s Randy Blythe on the song “Hosting the Shadow” and New Year’s Day‘s Ash Costello on “In The Mean Time”.

As a token of the band’s love for the gaming world (which we’ve seen in past endevours such as their card game “Horns Up” and their collaboration with Zombicide for which they wrote the track “Never Dawn”), the band have created an oracle “game” to be played with custom made dice available only in the box set version of Sleepless Empire. 

The new album is comprised of 11 tracks; each one is a richly textured soundtrack to a specific time and place. With Sleepless Empire, that place is dark, cinematic, and unmistakably true to the unique characteristics that have given Lacuna Coil such a celebrated entry in the annals of heavy music. The band shares: “‘Sleepless Empire’ captures, through our eyes, the chaos of a generation trapped in a digital world that never stops, where social media consumes identity and every day pushes us one step closer to becoming soulless zombies. We find ourselves in between, having witnessed a full analogic world and the modern one, confronting the evolution and searching for a true meaning of it all. Throughout every song, the journey is an undercurrent of rebellion, a desperate cry to reclaim oneself in an era that seems to have lost its sense of time and reality.”

It’s as if Motley Crue were desperate to prove how edgy and cool they used to be forty years ago, tried to remind us, but actually don’t know how embarrassing they’ve become in 2024. Putting aside a hilariously cringe filled Beastie Boys cover, The Crue try everything from complaining about TikTok, January 6th riots, and the woke crusade. The EP works around Neil’s lack of vocal prowess, the music is like YouTube’s royalty free hard rock library, and the title track makes sure everyone know’ the worse thing about life is not being able to be bad because the internet will call you out on it. The efforts of John 5 are absolutely wasted here. We need to make a rescue mission to get him out of this nightmare, while Mick Mars laughs hysterically somewhere. The music and writing are not even out of touch, they are straight up outdated.
