Slipknot Announce Knotfest Los Angeles 2021

In a show of force for the band and the loud music genre overall, Knotfest, the music and counterculture experience created by the multi-platinum sonic phenomenon Slipknot, has today announced the band’s biggest Los Angeles headline performance yet, Knotfest Los Angeles, at Banc of California Stadium on Friday November 5th. Knotfest Los Angeles will see Slipknot performing at this stadium for the first time, with a stacked line-up also including Bring Me The Horizon, Killswitch EngageFever 333Code Orange and Vended, with a special guest appearance from Cherry Bombs. Check out the trailer below.

Described as ‘A Mind-Altering Collision of Music, Art and Culture’, Knotfest Los Angeles ticket holders will be able to sample Slipknot’s award-winning small batch Iowa whiskies at the No.9 Whiskey Bar, including a soon-to-be-announced surprise for fans. And for the beer drinkers, there’ll be a selection of metal-friendly and band-branded beers pouring at the Knotfest Beer Pit.

Knotfest Los AngelesKnotfest Iowa, and the touring Knotfest Roadshow will all celebrate the 20th year of Slipknot’s iconic and groundbreaking #1 album, Iowa. Fans can expect a special capsule drop of commemorative Iowa-related merchandise, and music, video and other content from this pivotal era will roar to life as the tour and year progresses. This year’s Slipknot Museum, a staple at Knotfests the world over, will feature a jaw-dropping collection of items specifically from this (in)famous period in the band’s history. More details will follow in due course.

Tickets for Knotfest Los Angeles will be available on pre-sale to OT9 and Knotfest.com subscribers from 9am and 10am Pacific time respectively on July 27th, with a general on-sale from 10am Pacific on July 30th, over at KnotfestLosAngeles.com.

The previously announced Knotfest Iowa, the Grammy Award winning band’s triumphant homecoming show, sold out very quickly so the event expanded its capacity to accommodate an additional allocation of tickets. Don’t waste any time in grabbing yours before the Des Moines show sells out completely.
Tickets are also moving fast for the Knotfest Roadshow which sees Slipknot snaking their way across the USA with Killswitch EngageFever 333 and Code Orange in tow for the loudest, most visceral tour of the Summer.

In unfortunate news, due to the ongoing pandemic situation, the previously announced Latin American Knotfest events (Brazil, Colombia & Chile) have all been bumped from 2021 to 2022. Further information is available on the respective festival websites.

Slipknot recently announced their return to the studio, where they’re working on new material to follow 2019’s critically lauded, We Are Not Your Kind album. The current collection is highlighted by the singles, Nero ForteSolway Firth, and the LP’s lead track, Unsainted. The three tracks feature an M. Shawn Crahan-directed official music video, each of which trended worldwide on YouTube (all videos) upon release – with Unsainted at #1 globally for a full 24 hours.

Chevelle Announce Fall 2021 Tour Dates

Multi-platinum rock band CHEVELLE will be heading back out on the road this fall. The band has announced headline U.S. tour dates in support of its ninth album NIRATIAS, out now via Epic Records.

The tour kicks off on September 1 in Kansas City and runs through September 25 in Mankato, Minnesota. The tour resumes on November 4 in Milwaukee before wrapping November 21 in Pittsburgh. All dates are below.

“Well, we have to say we are pretty damn happy about a new year, a new album, and now, a new tour. Here’s to seeing you all out there,” the band says.

Pre-sale tickets are available tomorrow, July 27. The general on-sale is set for Friday, July 30. Go here for more ticket information.

NIRATIAS is one of the band’s most provocative records to date. Teaming with longtime producer Joe Barresi [Avenged Sevenfold, Queens of the Stone Age], Chevelle recorded throughout 2019 and 2020 and ultimately pieced together an inimitable body of work. Over the course of its career, the Chicago rockers have generated nearly half-a-billion streams, notched seven No. 1 hits, and sold out shows worldwide. Their catalog spans the double-platinum Wonder What’s Next, which boasts the double-platinum smash “The Red” and the platinum hit “Send The Pain Below.” This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In) attained platinum status, while Vena Sera was certified gold. Chevelle have landed four Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200, including Sci-Fi Crimes [2009], Hats Off to the Bull [2011], La Gárgola [2014], and The North Corridor [2016]. Between The Buried And Me Drop New Single “Revolution In Limbo”

Grammy Award nominated progressive metallers Between The Buried And Me have have dropped new track, “Revolution In Limbo“, the second song taken from their highly anticipated new album, ‘Colors II’, which will be released on Friday, August 20th via Sumerian Records with pre-orders available now from betweentheburiedandme.com.

Find “Revolution In Limbo” on streaming platform shere and watch the visualizer here or below.

Revolution In Limbo” follows the release of first single “Fix The Error” which spawned a brilliant animated music video, paying homage to the 90s cartoons the band grew up watching. Fix The Error debuted in the top 10 on the iTunes Metal charts and was the third most played track on SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal the week it launched. Fans were so excited by new Between The Buried and Me music and the announcement of ‘Colors II’ that the first pressing of vinyl pre-orders completely sold out in just 24 hours.

Between The Buried and Me built their influential 2007 album, ‘Colors’, on an unwavering commitment to artistic integrity. They’ve only fortified that commitment on its 2021 sequel, “Colors II” [Sumerian Records]. The circumstances surrounding both records bear key similarities, yet the North Carolina quintet—Tommy Rogers [lead vocals, keyboards], Paul Waggoner [lead and rhythm guitar, backing and lead vocals], Dustie Waring [rhythm and lead guitar], Blake Richardson [drums], and Dan Briggs [bass, keyboards]—once again stretch the boundaries of their signature sound and heavy music at large.

Especially with 2020, we really wanted to give it all we could and show the world we’re still here,” explains Tommy. “That’s part of the reason we named it Colors II. We were in a similar spot when we did the first Colors. Back then, we had just gotten done with OZZfest. We were wondering, ‘Where do we belong in this music scene?’ We still struggle with that. At both of these moments in our career, we decided to just be ourselves and write the best album we can. We came out guns blazing, and I feel like it’s some of our most creative material in a long time.

Colors was very much our attempt at a do-or-die statement,” recalls Paul. “We had to establish our identity and be who we really wanted to be in order to have a career. This time around, our industry was shutdown for a year. Once tours were cancelled due to the Pandemic, we were like, ‘We’ve got to write a record, and it’s got to be good’. We had to do something next level.

Bullet For My Valentine Release “Parasite” Video

Bullet For My Valentine have released “Parasite,” the second single from their recently announced self-titled album Bullet For My Valentine

Watch the video for “Parasite” here.

“For ‘Parasite,’ we just wanted to let the song rip,” says director Fiona Garden. “The intensity and fury of the track tears along, pure performance and vitality. Along the way, in a world defined by blinding light and the phenomenal graphic work of artist Carl Addy, we see this new infinite incarnation of the avatar aM cuts being ritualistically infected and drawn further into limitless oblivion. No locusts were harmed in the making of this video.

The Guardian called the first single, “Knives,” a “sonic onslaught,” adding that it displayed “gymnastic guitar riffs, snarling vocals, and more drum hits in four minutes than across most albums.”Rock Sound concurred, calling it “a vicious and violent slab of ferocious modern metal,” while Metal Hammer commented, “BFMV are back in the form of their lives.” Revolver deemed it a “razor-edged ripper” while Loudwire stated that the band has “more than delivered in regards to brutality and technicality.”

But where “Knives” arrived like a punch in the face, “Parasite” is here to disembowel.

The band comments, “‘Parasite’ is an absolute RAGER from start to finish!!! Easily one of the gnarliest tracks we’ve ever written — we couldn’t be more stoked to finally get it out there.”

Bullet For My Valentine will be released on October 22 via Spinefarm /Search & Destroy.

“I think it’s the most ferocious side of Bullet For My Valentine that I’ve ever known,” says lead guitarist Michael “Padge” Paget. “It’s time for us to put out a really angry, heavy, aggressive record. I just can’t wait to grimace on stage!”

Frontman and guitarist Matt Tuck began writing the album in September 2019 before the Coronavirus pandemic brought things screeching to a halt in early 2020. But in June 2020, Tuck and long-time producer, Carl Bown, who co-produced the band’s 2015 album, Venom, and produced and mixed Gravity, picked up the pace again. Together, they hunkered down at Treehouse Studio in Chesterfield, where the remainder of the album was written.

Bullet For My Valentine follows the success of their last album, 2018’s Gravity, which saw the metal juggernauts’ catalogue surpass 1 BILLION (yes, with a B!) streams in the U.S. That accomplishment solidifies Bullet’s hard-earned status as one of the most elite bands in the hard rock scene.

Pre-orders for Bullet For My Valentine’s seventh studio album are now live, with an instant download of both “Knives” and “Parasite,” and special bundle options, including a unique clipping from the backdrop used on the bands ‘Venom’ world tour from 2015 – 2017, t-shirts, hoodies, gold & silver cassettes, and limited vinyl. Get it here.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE TRACK LISTING:
“Parasite”
“Knives”
“My Reverie”
“No Happy Ever After”
“Can’t Escape The Waves”
“Bastards”
“Rainbow Veins”
“Shatter”
“Paralysed”
“Death By a Thousand Cuts”

Bullet For My Valentine recently made history by headlining the Download Festival Pilot event at Donington Park just last month. Kerrang! summed their performance up perfectly, saying, “Sharp, slick, and with every shredding solo sounding immense, they nail a full-stop onto the weekend with confidence and power.”

Tremonti Releases Music Video for “If Not For You”

On the heels of the recent announcements of their fifth studio album as well as tour dates throughout the rest of the year, Tremonti have released their music video for the debut single from Marching In Time scheduled for global release on September 24th via Napalm RecordsThe track “If Not For You” shows the evolution of the band’s sound in 2021 and the single is now available via all digital streaming platforms. Fans that pre-order the album digitally will receive the new single as an instant download. The music video is a frenetic, high-energy performance video that visually compliments the single that will be impacting radio this month and can be seen here:

Mark Tremonti is no stranger to storytelling. Throughout his years with top-charting bands Alter Bridge and Creed, and most recently his solo band, Mark has never strayed from his love of writing memorable songs. With the upcoming fifth album, Marching In Time, the band looks to continue this trend while exploring their love for heavy music, drawing from current events from the last year to form the basis of each song. While its predecessor, A Dying Machine, was an overall concept album seeped in darker sentiments and story, the vibe of Marching In Time is different – emerging as a charging rock/metal offering that takes the listener on 12 individual journeys. Marching In Time is now available for pre-order here.

From the driving drum beat of opener “A World Away” to the epic closer “Marching In Time,” the new album is a reflective look at the world around us today. Tremonti’s unmatched musicianship bleeds through the album, showcased on tracks like “Thrown Further,” “In One Piece” and the thought provoking “Would You Kill.” Alternatively, the band displays their softer side on pensive tracks “The Last One Of Us” and “Not Afraid to Lose.” Epic title track “Marching In Time” tells the story of a father having a child during a global pandemic and how he prepares for life during that time – something Mark Tremonti recently experienced in his own life.  Marching In Time was produced longtime friend and collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette – the producer Mark has worked with exclusively since 2007.

The track listing for Marching In Time is:
1.    A World Away
2.    Now And Forever
3.    If Not For You
4.    Thrown Further
5.    Let That Be Us
6.    The Last One Of Us
7.    In One Piece
8.    Under The Sun
9.    Not Afraid To Lose
10.  Bleak
11.  Would You Kill
12.  Marching In Time

Marching In Time will be available in the following formats*:
-CD Digipak
-Digital Album
-2LP Gatefold Black
-2LP Gatefold Marbled White / Black + Bonus Track (Band Store Only – limited to 500)

Tremonti will hit the road in advance of the release of Marching In Time, starting on September 3rd in Pryor, OK at Rocklahoma with longtime friends Sevendust. The tour will make stops in Kansas City, MO, Sayreville, NJ, Flint, MI and Joliet, IL, to name a few, before wrapping on September 26th in Orlando, FL. Tremonti is also going to be a part of the recently announced tour with Daughtry and Sevendust that will run through November and December. All tour dates, ticket information and VIP packages can be found at www.marktremonti.com.

“I knew I wanted to do something ridiculously big,” explains Buzz Osborne of the band’s first ever acoustic offering. ”36 songs reimagined by us acoustically is certainly ridiculous but it works. The magic of the songs is still there regardless of it being acoustic. Since we weren’t touring we had the time to do something of this size. I’m very excited about this record. Dale and Steven did a fantastic job on this. I think it’s a very special record. I can’t think of anyone else who’s done something like this.”

The band previews the impressive offering with the release of “Night Goat” (https://youtu.be/v61lPiqCr-w). Dale Crover noted: “I think people will be surprised that we can do an acoustic version of a song like ‘Night Goat’ without losing any of the heaviness. We also worked hard on the vocal arrangements. People are going to freak out!”

Five Legged Dog also features acoustic versions of several rarities from the influential band’s overflowing discography including a cover of Redd Kross’ “Charlie” (from the limited-edition “Escape From LA” single), “Outside Chance,” a Turtles’ cover from the “Slithering Slaughter” single and new interpretations of The Rolling Stones “Sway,” Brainiac’s “Flypaper,” and Fred Neil’s “Everybody’s Talking” (popularized by Harry Nilsson). Butthole Surfer Jeff Pinkus lends his vocals (and banjo) to “Don’t Forget to Breathe” and “Everybody’s Talking.”

The collection, which is available for pre-order now, will be released digitally, as a double-disc CD, both on Oct. 15, with a 4LP colored vinyl release arriving on Jan. 28.

The Melvins are one of modern music’s most influential bands. Having formed in 1983 Montesano, Washington, the outfit founded by singer/guitar player Buzz Osborne (with stalwart drummer Dale Crover joining the following year), has been credited for merging the worlds of punk rock and heavy music into what became known as grunge. Over the band’s nearly 40-year history, they’ve released over 30 original albums, numerous live full-lengths and far too many to count singles and rarities. They’ve partnered with Jello Biafra, Mudhoney, and Fantômas for individual releases and toured the world many times over. In fact, the band had the misfortune to be in both Christchurch and Tokyo for their 2011 earthquakes. In 2012 the band completed the “51 States in 51 Days” (50 states +DC) tour, which was chronicled in the film “Across The USA in 51 Days.”

The Melvins are a continually shifting entity. Their current incarnation is the trio of Osborne, Crover, and Steven McDonald (Redd Kross/OFF!). Previous line-ups include a pairing of Osborne and Crover with Big Business band members Jared Warren and Coady Willis, a four-piece featuring the current trio plus Butthole Surfers’ Jeff Pinkus, as well as Melvins Lite, which pairs Osborne and Crover with Mr. Bungle alum Trevor Dunn. Sometimes, if you’re extra lucky, one incarnation of the Melvins open for the Melvins.
