JINJER to Begin North American Tour on October 22

After dropping one of the most anticipated metal albums of the year, Wallflowers – which commanded the charts worldwide by achieving #1 and top 10 rankings in the US, UK, Canada, Germany and beyond – JINJER wasted no time hitting the road in Europe, once again proving that if there is a chance to tour, even in these strange times, JINJER will risk almost anything to give their fans a show to remember. Now, the band has successfully completed this leg of their journey and are set to lay waste to North American venues in just two short weeks! The band also plans to record a new music video in the interim.

The band stated to fans on social media:
“EU TOUR IS OVER! Wow, what a tour this was! For JINJER, as well as our brothers in Hypno5e and Space Of Variations, this run was important on so many different levels. For one, we were one of the first tours to cross borders since the pandemic started – and many shows we were the first full capacity shows for promoters and clubs since then as well, or the first metal shows, or the first shows you got to watch standing up with very little restrictions – and not to mention our very first tour since March 2020! This tour was hard for all involved, but it was 200% worth it. For all other bands wondering if they should move their tours to 2022… please do not – the clubs, the promoters, the local crews, the caterers, the local bands and especially the fans NEED you to play this year and make things normal again! If we can do it then you probably can as well… Thanks to each and every single one of you that came out to these shows – we made a small piece of history together!!!
PS: COMING TO AMERICA TOUR 2021 IS UP NEXT!!”

In addition to their several already sold out North American tour dates (including Nashville, TN, which has just reached capacity), JINJER is thrilled to reveal that they’ve not only added two new dates in Rochester, NY and Harrisburg, PA, but have expanded rooms at select stops. The Milwaukee, WI show at The Rave has been upgraded to the main room, while the show in Tempe, AZ will move to the Marquee Theater (previously purchased tickets are valid).

Due to current Covid capacity restrictions in Canada, the previously scheduled shows in Toronto, ON and Montreal, QC – which weren’t able to be relocated – will be postponed to 2022.

See below for all currently confirmed JINJER tour dates.

JINJER‘s exceptional precision of modern metal paired with tough as nails attitude has earned them a fiercely loyal, rabid fanbase and massive critical acclaim, making JINJER one of the most talked about bands today and garnering them many sold out performances across the globe.

Since announcing Wallflowers, the band has graced numerous renowned international magazine covers, booked the biggest stories, sold out countless tour dates and their first two new singles, “Vortex” and “Mediator”, both cracked the multi-million stream mark in no time. The new album not only presents a methodical and premeditated next step in the band’s already imposing career, but moreover, it mirrors the personal adversities they’ve faced due to the worldwide events of the last year. Wallflowers is not only an upgrade to the progressive groove metal sound that all JINJER fans crave, but also a sonic pressure cooker of technical musicianship, emotional fury and an intense soundtrack befitting the harrowing state of the world today. Hailing from the conflict-ridden Ukrainian region of Donetsk but now calling Kiev their home base, JINJER truly do not mince words – or riffs – on Wallflowers.

Discovering Vended

Do you remember the first time you came across a particular song with a kind of voice that resonated and broadened your view on music? I know I do. It propelled me to follow a path that ignited a passion so deep for music, it forged the foundation for my hobbies and friendships. Discovering different types of music and bands such as Vended has become a lifestyle.

As an “elder emo” or “elder goth” (as we alternative music fans in our 30’s and over are being called by the youth of today) I had the opportunity to encounter many of the pioneering acts of the heavy metal music scene of the mid 90’s as a youngin myself. As I got older, I explored different genres as most of us do and by the time I was a junior in high-school I became obsessed with recording music videos on my VCR off of Fuse (Mistress Juliya from Uranium and Steve’s Untitled Rock Show for the win).

On one of those primitive video recording days, I encountered Slipknot’s video for “Duality.” The power I heard in Corey Taylor’s voice was something that I had yet to encounter and “Duality” quickly became one of my favorite songs, if not, my favorite Slipknot song to date.

Many artists have come and gone, my playlists have evolved with the ebb and flow of time. Then out of nowhere, I was hit in the ears with a familiar yet new voice while perusing my FYP page on my latest fixation, TikTok.

Yes. You read that correctly, TikTok.

This app has an uncanny ability to get to know you better than your best friends, possibly better than you know yourself, and while it’s sometimes creepy, the accuracy is also appreciated. What I encountered in that video were other folks in my age group reacting to the new generation of metal heads, Vended.

If you’re not familiar with this band, then you are surely missing out.

Vended is the brainchild of vocalist Griffin Taylor, lead guitarist Cole Espeland, rhythm guitarist Connor Grodzicki, drummer Simon Crahan, and bassist Jeremiah Pugh. If any of those names seem familiar to you it would be because Griffin Taylor is none other than Corey Taylor’s son and Simon Crahan is Slipknot’s drummer M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan’s son. The ferocity in Vended’s music has united the metal scene from past and present.

Vended is brutal and powerful. They have undoubtedly carved a name for themselves with their new single, “Asylum” and took Knotfest by storm during their performance. The commentary on their YouTube channel is some of the most supportive I’ve read in this scene and rightfully so. The people are excited and invested in the progression of this band. The vocals, the instrumentalization, and their stage presence is all their own and has guaranteed that rock is indeed not dead. I know for a fact that many from all around will be saving and replaying Vended’s music on their playlists. Just like I once did with my VHS’.

The band will be doing a US fall tour throughout November with the support of Omerta and Hazing Over. The tour will hit the following cities:

Nov. 9 – Nashville, TN – The End
Nov. 10 – Chicago, IL – Beat Kitchen
Nov. 11 – Cleveland, OH – Mahall’s
Nov. 12 – Fort Wayne, IN – Stan’s Room
Nov. 13 – Pontiac, MI – The Pike Room
Nov. 14 – Pittsburgh, PA – Crafthouse Stage & Grill
Nov. 16 – Reading, PA – Reverb
Nov. 17 – Richmond, VA – Canal Club
Nov. 18 – Brooklyn, NY – Saint Vitus
Nov. 19 – Albany, NY – Empire Underground
Nov. 20 – Hartford, CT – Webster Underground
Nov. 21 – Boston, MA – Sonia
Nov. 23 – Buffalo, NY – Rec Room

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes Release Single “Off With His Head”

Critically acclaimed British punk rockers Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have released their new single “Off With His Head” featuring British newcomer Cassyette. The latest from their fourth full-length studio album Sticky, out October 15th via AWAL Recordings“Off With His Head” is a raucous take on patriarchal society with Cassyette serving as a Bonnie Tyler for Gen Z to Carter’s Axl Rose or James Hetfield. PRESS HERE to download/stream and PRESS HERE to watch the song’s official music video. Sticky, the band’s most fiery and addictive record of their career, is available for pre-order now at all DSPs; each digital pre-save will include an instant download of “Off With His Head” along with previously released singles “Go Get A Tattoo,” “My Town” and “Sticky” – PRESS HERE.

“Patriarchal society is a plague; it’s a pyramid scheme,” shares Carter. “It has strict regulations regarding who and how it benefits and is unique in its ability to oppress people at the exact same time it benefits them. ‘Off With His Head’ is a scathing generalized attack on trolls whose only joy in life is flexing their sixth-form grammar and Proud Boy mentality with the same smug tact as both sides of the fence in Good Will Hunting. The patriarchy is the worst because it enables all men to exist in a greater quality of life than all women and children, and while doing so, it also organizes the men into an untenable hierarchy that excludes a high percentage of men. Patriarchal society is designed to support apex predators.”

Sticky, produced by the band’s other co-founder Dean Richardson (guitar, synth/keys), celebrates the thrill of returning to freedom and all the joy and madness that entails. The album solidifies the pairing of Carter and Richardson as one of the most exciting partnerships in punk rock and Carter (previously of Gallows and Pure Love) as a vital voice in UK music, rallying against injustice, the patriarchy, right-wing politics and toxic masculinity. Their sound practically punches out of the speakers on the forthcoming collection with a new directness and immediacy and Carter sounding like an untamed force of nature, embodying the impish menace of Keith Flint one minute, Sid Vicious the next.

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes introduced this new chapter in their growing career with the ferocious hit single “My Town” featuring IDLES’ front man Joe Talbot, described by Carter as “a metaphor for our collective mental health falling apart.” PRESS HERE to watch the official music video for “My Town” and PRESS HERE to watch a new live performance video of the song featuring Talbot from this summer’s headlining set at the Download Pilot Festival, which first premiered with BrooklynVeganSounding like a turbo Madness or The Specials, recent single “Go Get A Tattoo” featuring Lynks is an irreverent ode to tattooing, Carter’s other full-time gig, and his own east London tattoo shop that was barely able to open its doors due to the pandemic. PRESS HERE to watch the official music video for “Go Get A Tattoo.” The 10-track album, the follow-up to 2019’s acclaimed End of Suffering, also features the title track “Sticky,” a snarling call to arms, and an additional guest spot from Primal Scream vocalist Bobby Gillespie.

Since their debut in 2015, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, who’ve racked up nearly 140 million worldwide streams, have built a reputation for blistering anthems that owe as much to brooding desert rock as it does hardcore and power-pop. They’re redefining punk-rock with a sound that straddles eras and genres, putting The Rattlesnakes in a category all their own, while also challenging tired cliches and setting the world to rights. Carter is particularly outspoken about mental health and how it’s changed his perspectives on masculinity, using his voice and platform to break down societal norms and barriers. The band has also fostered a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at their live performances, encouraging equality and empowerment with their fans. Known as one of the best live acts in the UK, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, who’ve supported the likes of Foo Fighters, Bring Me The Horizon, and Sum 41, will be embarking on a headlining tour across the UK later this year to support the release of Sticky followed by a full European outing at the top of 2022; visit www.andtherattlesnakes.com for all upcoming tour dates.

Asking Alexandria Unveils “Never Gonna Learn” Music Video

Today marks the highly anticipated arrival of acclaimed British rock group Asking Alexandria’s new full-length studio album See What’s On The Inside. The album is the band’s first studio LP since the news of their new global deal with Better Noise Music earlier this year, when they were signed by label president Dan Waite out of the company’s London office. See What’s On The Inside is evidence of the group’s falling back in love with making music together. It is the first collection of songs that the band, today composed of its original line-up, wrote and recorded together in the same room in over a decade. The project is preceded by first single “Alone Again,” which was released in August to critical acclaim from the likes of Forbes, NME, Loudwire, and more, and now sits at #9 on BDS Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart, marking it the band’s fastest rise to the top 10 ever in their career. “Alone Again” has not only started a new chapter for the band musically, it has also translated to global success where international streaming has grown to now 66% of their listenership, according to Spotify, accompanied by a worldwide premiere of “You’ve Made it This Far” on BBC Radio 1 in the UK. The new album is now available for purchase, download and streaming across platforms HERE

Thrilled to be sharing their latest body of work, lead guitarist Ben Bruce said, “Our new album See What’s on the Inside was named with the thought process that we would let the album, the songs, and the lyrics speak for themselves. It’s been a hell of a journey to get to this point. Ups and downs, laughter and tears. But here we are, seven albums later, more focused, more passionate and more excited than ever before. Our dear AA Family, it’s finally time to See What’s On the Inside.”

The band celebrated the release of the album by premiering the official music video for second single “Never Gonna Learn.” As they recorded this album together during quarantine, the visual, directed by Wombat Fire, showcases the band performing the song in an intimate setting interspersed with polaroid images of the session.

Last month, Asking Alexandria made their return to touring, joining A Day To Remember on their “Re-Entry Tour” throughout North America. The tour kicked off on September 28 in Rochester, NY, and goes until November 6 in St. Augustine, FL. The band has also announced a UK/European tour in spring 2022, with tour dates set from March 30 to April 15. Tickets are available for purchase today HERE. See a full list of dates below.

Ministry Releases Bold New Music Video For “Disinformation”

In celebration of the release of brand-new album Moral Hygiene – out TODAY via Nuclear Blast – Ministry releases the explosive new music video for the latest single, “Disinformation” about the slippery slope we find ourselves in when consuming mass media without critical thinking.

Moral Hygiene is Ministry’s 15th studio album and features some of the project’s strongest and most inspired material to date. It features the creative masterwork of founder and creator Al Jourgensen who spent the pandemic pause in 2020 ruminating on the new world we as a society have found ourselves in – while pondering just what we are going to do about it.

Stream Moral Hygiene here: http://nblast.de/MinistryMoralHygiene

The 10 tracks are a follow-up to 2018’s lauded AmeriKKKant and put forth Jourgensen’s societal manifesto and plea for civilization to get back to a set of standards that lives up to and embraces our humanity.

Previous singles have included “Alert Level” (sounding the alarm on the state society is in), “Good Trouble” (a rallying cry to fight for human rights in homage to Civil Rights leader John Lewis) and “Search And Destroy” (the unique take on The Stooges classic), the latter of which features guitar virtuoso Billy Morrison (Billy Idol/Royal Machines). Morrison is also heavily featured on a number of songs on the album. The record also includes a collaboration with Jello Biafra (Jourgensen’s cohort in side project LARD) on “Sabotage Is Sex.”

Moral Hygiene was recorded with engineer Michael Rozon (also behind the boards on AmeriKKKant) at Scheisse Dog StudioJourgensen’s self-built home studio and creative lab. As with all Ministry albums, all songs are written and performed by Al Jourgensen. Additional contributions come from Billy Morrison (Billy Idol, Royal Machines), Cesar Soto (Man The Mute), John Bechdel (Killing Joke, Fear Factory), Roy Mayorga (Stone Sour, Soulfly, Nausea), Paul D’Amour (Tool, Feersum Ennjin), Arabian Prince (N.W.A.), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) and sitar player Flash.

Of Mice & Men Share Visualizer for New Single “Mosaic”

Gold-selling hard rockers Of Mice & Men — Aaron Pauley (bass + vocals ), Valentino Arteaga (drums), Alan Ashby (guitar), and Phil Manansala (guitar) — have had quite a prolific 2021 thus far. The Southern California-based quartet used their time spent in the 2020 lockdown, which was the result of the COVID-19 pandemic, in an incredibly productive way. During that period, the band wrote and recorded both the Timeless and Bloom EPs, which were released in February and May of this year, respectively.

But today, OM&M are back and continue their consistent feed of new music with the new single “Mosaic.” Listen here

“‘Mosaic’ is about questioning whether or not we, as human beings, can overcome our seemingly primal need for combativeness, because it’s more prevalent than ever in our lives these days,” shares Pauley about the track.

Of Mice & Men enjoyed a groundswell of activity around their previous drops. The new music was described as “crushing” by Revolver, and as “thought provoking” and “cinematic” by Loudwire. MetalSucks celebrated the new material as a “call back to the band’s heavy roots,” while Knotfest enthused that it’s “a gut-punch reminder of their dynamic songwriting and unrelenting heft.” The single “Obsolete” dominated SiriusXM’s Octane channel upon release.

There is more to come — lots more — so stay tuned.

But for now, enjoy “Mosaic.”
