Enter Shikari Announce Intimate “Stop The Clocks Tour”

Enter Shikari Brings The Intimate
Stop The Clocks Tour to the US
w/ Special Guest Can’t Swim

Whether it’s playing to an audience of tens of thousands like they do regularly around the world or just a few hundred for an intimate show, few bands can command a stage as powerfully as UK’s massively popular band ENTER SHIKARI. U.S. audiences will witness their close and personal side when St. Albans’ favorite sons come storming North America for a short run of dates on their Stop The Clocks North America Tour in September 2019.

These twelve stops will be the band’s first shows this side of the Atlantic since Jan/Feb 2018’s tour on the back of their most recent album, The Spark. They will be joined by New Jersey’s celebrated CAN’T SWIM on all dates, except Chicago. The whole night will feature just the two bands, allowing both to perform full sets.

In keeping with the “deliberately intimate” nature of the band’s early 2019 excursions around the UK and Europe, the tour sees venues substantially smaller than would “normally” be booked for an Enter Shikari run in cities such as New York, Philadelphia and Toronto. With venues such as NYC’s Bowery Ballroom (cap.: 575), Philadelphia’s The Foundry (cap.: 450), and Chicago’s Lincoln Hall (cap.: 500), they will be playing venues that are almost 50% the capacity of their last t visits, giving fans the opportunity to experience the band up close and personal.  Tickets on sale this Friday, June 21st.

Frontman Rou Reynolds says of this jaunt:

“We felt it was wrong to close out the Stop The Clocks tours without trying to get back to North America to bring the whole ‘Spark-era’ full circle. The more cozy shows should see the kind of sweaty mayhem we need to see us off into writing the next album. Gutted we can’t get over to the West Coast this time around, but commitments back home just won’t let that happen. So we hope we can make that up to our friends in California and nearby states before too long”.

To accompany the tour announcement, the band have released footage of The Quickfire Round (in its various guises) which has become the stuff of legend in Shikari-fan circles. Filmed in January 2018 at the Austin, TX show that kicked off The Spark Tour, Enter Shikari played four songs in eight minutes. A test of any audience’s mettle in any environment, this particular performance was especially memorable since it was filmed at an outdoor show in surprise zero-degree weather in Texas.

Named for the as-yet-unreleased fan favorite that the band have been playing since December 2018, The Stop The Clocks Tour finds the band enjoying themselves like never before. Riding on a wave of audience adulation and critical mass, Enter Shikari are existing in the moment, just like the lyrics of the song.

Enter Shikari is Chris Batten (bass), Rou Reynolds (lead vocals /  keyboards), Rob Rolfe (drums), and Rory Clewlow (guitars).  Their latest album The Spark was released on September 22, 2017 and spawned three singles in “Live Outside”“Rabble Rouser” and “The Sights.”
