Brendon Small proving once again he is a metal mastermind. This is an 11-track album where nothing feels like filler, it’s all heavy and PERFECTLY in sync on timing and structure. Gene on drumming, amazing rhythm guitars, it’s all structurally sound and keeps up with the Dethklok name. There are comedic points such as opening with the lawnmower noises, but the album NEVER feels like a joke because of how strong the music behind Natan Explosion is. When you get to a song like Bloodbath or the phenomenal closer Mermaider III, you realize Small made sure to send out Metalocalypse on a high note. Dethklok IV is as killer as an Aortic Desectration. So is the new movie Army Of The Doomstar. Check them both out. 8/10.
