From Google Bard:

“Corey Todd Taylor is an American musician, songwriter, and actor. He is best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the heavy metal band Slipknot, in which he is designated #8, as well as the lead vocalist, guitarist, lyricist, and sole continuous member for the rock band Stone Sour.

Taylor was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on December 8, 1973. He began playing guitar and singing at a young age, and was influenced by a wide range of music, including rock, heavy metal, and blues. In 1992, he co-founded Stone Sour with drummer Joel Ekman. The band released their debut album, Stone Sour, in 1994.

In 1997, Taylor was invited to join Slipknot, who were looking for a new vocalist after their original singer, Anders Colsefni, left the band. Taylor accepted the invitation and has been with Slipknot ever since. The band has released seven studio albums, all of which have been commercial successes.

In addition to his work with Slipknot and Stone Sour, Taylor has also released several solo albums, including “CMFT” (2020) and “CMFT 2” (2022). He has also collaborated with a number of other artists, including Rob Zombie, Ozzy Osbourne, and Tech N9ne.
