When I returned to Rocked, I chose to emphasize that transition by reviewing an album that especially resonated with me — The Crucible, a concept album by guitarist Marc Centanni and producer Gary Wehrkamp, better known collectively as Harpazo. Originally, Marc had messaged me about reviewing the album, and I informed him that with an album of this magnitude, an interview about it would serve as the perfect companion piece. After some scheduling adjustments, we were finally able to make this happen.
Marc and I dived into the many and varied bands who shaped his guitar playing, the chance meeting between he and Gary that changed his trajectory, the assembling of both Christian and progressive metal talent for this project, and how getting back in touch with his Christian faith transformed his outlook on life.
