High Water Festival is produced by Shovels & Rope, AC Entertainment and C3 Presents.
Shovels & Rope – the musical duo of Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst – carved out a niche in the music world with strong, roots/indie/folk/rock-inspired efforts as well as a powerful live show, a pair of Americana Music Awards, far reaching tours and a myriad of TV and festival appearances. Trent and Hearst have five studio albums – most recently, the critically acclaimed By Blood – and three collaborative projects – Busted Jukebox Vol.1, Vol.2 & Vol.3 – under their belts. Married for more than a decade, their covenant extends to blood and beyond: as parents, bandmates, and creative collaborators. Outside of making music as Shovels & Rope, Trent & Hearst curate High Water Festival in their hometown of Charleston, SC, now in its fourth installment.
