It had been a long time since Stone Sour had come to St. Louis and they came in a big way; performing for a sold out USO show at The Pageant. Playing a one off show before jumping back on No More Tours 2 with Ozzy Osbourne, Stone Sour performed to the enlisted and veterans of our military. Corey Taylor said that he loved being back to a city who still has a heart for rock and roll. The midwest has deep roots in it.
After addressing the crowd while wearing a formal St. Louis t-shirt, he addressed how guitarist Josh Rand had to sit through the performance. The reason according to Corey was that Josh literally was saving puppies from a burning building and blew out his knee in the process. When asked if they should cancel, Josh Rand said “No way. We keep going.” A true hero all around.
Stone Sour is currently promoting the deluxe edition of Hydrograd, which is available now. You can find Stone Sour’s upcoming tour dates by visiting their Facebook page here: Stone Sour on Facebook.
